Jude and Nemoira from On Sundays She Picked Flowers by @fluoresensitive! Jude made Nemoira that cute blouse and she made it with LOVE!!
If you've followed me for a while you might remember that I did the art for the hardcover version of the book in 2022 (!!! such an exciting and fun project to work on) This was one of the early concepts that we didn't end up using, but I found the sketch and decided to finish it for fun <3 If you still haven't read On Sundays go read it right now! You can buy it here

(hands folded like at a job interview) what are your interests what are you into, do u like video games, which ones? Disco Elysium? Sims mayhaps?
Ahhh well interests... I like birds and creatures general, so I birdwatch but also creature watch. I like thinking about writing... doing it... ehh we're trying hejdjdj
Games wise I'm not really a #gamer but recently have mainly been playing the binding of isaac (it hasn't aged well), diavolo no daibouken (a jojo fan game I basically only play for the midi soundtrack) and I love fighting games but specifically King of Fighters (although I need a new controller to play it u_u). Also need to redownload touhou at some point.

So, per my request, syntaxblk added my name to the blocklist (and with the most detailed entry, no less!). As usual with this crowd, there are many funny aspects, but I wanted to draw up a few notes
1.) These people aren’t leftists. They have no coherent economic analysis. Their politics are an aestheticized jumble of “social justice” causes, and as such, they are laser-focused on speech acts, to the exclusion of all else. The only things they are capable of talking about or criticizing are the ways other people speak online: who is or isn’t “allowed” to speak on a topic, what words they are or aren’t “allowed” to use (see: “say her name”)—and that’s it. When it comes to the real world, they’ve got nothing.
2.) They are also hopelessly identitarian, and this stems from their adoption of afropessimist philosophy. You find similar “radical pessimist” notions in TERFism, third worldism, and certain strains of anarchism. The “oppressor class” is evil, which is why they oppress; white people are colonizers because white people are bad, not because colonization is profitable. This is an anti-materialist position that cannot create an effective politics. It’s a disease of powerlessness. It’s contemptible where it’s not just sad.
3.) #oh wow here we go calling black people psyops
William O’Neal was an FBI informant who infiltrated the Black Panthers in Chicago. He provided the FBI with detailed information about Fred Hampton’s apartment, and then slipped secobarbital into Hampton’s drink so that he would not wake up before the feds could assassinate him. William O’Neal was also a Black man. Identity isn’t a defense like you think it is.

Speak...say what you must....
[winds up to swing at the hornet's nest] I mean it's not anything we haven't said before but that post absolutely reminds me of the STAUNCH ao3 stans who say their dark/dead dove works are properly handling dark topics with care/sensitivity when the reality of it all is that you wrote that shit with one hand and it fucking shows. like we can REALLY tell.
so those hoes condescending to us and saying we're all just a bunch of triggered teenagers is laughable because they love to act high and mighty but who has the better reading comprehension here. it's not them.

Making claims of someone posting csem in order for you to justify your aggressive transmisogynist smear campaign is like. I don't want to say its a new low but it's disturbing and fucked up for sure

I'm tired of people being weird in your askbox, what are you reading rn, what's the vibes, what are our eyes and minds enjoying
Unfortunately I've not been reading for a while due to... being busy with life however I'm in the middle of the beast warrior and I need to finish it... its so good.
In terms of other media I recently watched Moonlight for the first time and its such a good movie. I definitely had this idea that it would be trauma porny but it wasn't at all a sad movie just a somewhat bittersweet one. I've also started Delicious in Dungeon which is p fun.
More importantly I'm mostly looking at birds...

I can't do anything in fluorescent lights. It just somehow turns me into a caricature of the typical office worker. Just a lump sitting in one place doing a repetitive task with no emotions. Maybe it's a hangover from when I'd be working in an office. I used to hate my life then, and it was surrounded by fluorescent lights. The windows in those places, if there were any, would always be shut to reduce glare and regulate temperature. It would always smell of synthetic roses or lemons from the air freshner spray. There was no life except the dying succulent on someone's desk and the encompassing aura of greed and envy.

The absolutely stupidest social norm on here is “e-begging and panhandling are essentially the same thing and therefore they need to be treated the same way.” Like, I generally give whatever cash I have on-hand to panhandlers, because actually sitting out in the street with a carboard sign demonstrates a level of obvious need. I agree that it’s best to either give money or pass by (although I always try to make eye contact and say “sorry” if I don’t have any cash), rather than interrogating or heckling them.
None of this applies to e-begging. It is so so so trivially easy to make shit up about your situation in order to get money from credulous people on the internet. I almost never give money to e-beggars, because the barrier for entry to bad actors is non-existent.
But the grifters want to confuse you on the issue, and so they pretend that saying “do you actually have a sick pet or are you using stock photos of a sick cat from Google” is the same thing as harassing a homeless person on the street. Very stupid.
