Can we see your record player? I want one!
I have a Fluance RT81! I got lucky with someone selling it locally for super cheap. But I used an Audio Technica LP60 for years before upgrading and I definitely recommend it for beginners

I always try to be polite and cordial but if there’s one thing I can’t stand it’s someone who loudly watches tiktoks while sitting right next to me and occasionally showing me the dumbest fucking video I’ve ever seen and saying some shit like “dude this is so funny” no it isn’t. Can’t even fake a laugh for you buddy, can’t even fake a smile you will get one inquisitive glare and I will return to my article about putting fishman fluance pickups in a telecaster.

wait Atlas you collect vinyls I can ask you this! I trust you as a source! I'm trying to save up and potentially get a record player and start collecting vinyl as I finally have space to do stuff like that but I have no clue what kinds of record players are decent/what kind of setup I would even need or where to start. do you have any advice??
haiiii lu omg love answering questions about vinyl stuff i am abt to ramble so much jfkdfn so sorry but!! so exciting that u might be getting a record player and starting a collection!! so, with record players it's my belief that like. it is better to go for the more expensive ones, cheaper ones have poorer audio quality (if you're planning on listening to your records a lot this is. obvi very important) and aren't great for your records either (cheap needles can damage a vinyl). it feels a lot easier to say what to Avoid: - the brands crosley and victrola specifically (notoriously cheap and low quality record playersi had a crosley as my first player and it just. wasn't great) - portable/suit-case style record players (cheap needles, horrible speakers) - honestly anything $100 or under just doesn't feel trustworthy to me
it might feel like a big investment/a lot to save up for for one over $100, but if youre planning on collecting for a long time and listening to a lot, it's worth the price to get a more expensive one! Here's a few i found that i think are good examples of what to look for/get (at varying prices): - angels horn H019 (record player) - fluance RT85N (turntable) - orbit basic (turntable) - wockoder (record player)
for a record player, all you need truly is the space to put it, so it doesn't require much set up because the speakers and everything is built into the turntable. As for turntables, I myself have a record player and have no experience with them (though i want to. so badly fsdjknf), i Do know they require a lot more set up from putting together the turntable itself to buying speakers to amplify what the turntable does (as it is essentially Just the thing that turns the vinyl, typically they need additional support to amplify the music). So, generally i'd say turntables are more for very serious vinyl collectors/audiophiles, starting with a record player is my advice! (also, highly recommend investing in a good vinyl holder that you can grow into, a collection can grow Fast and it's obvi good to have them contained somewhere. There’s a lot of good ones on amazon! no specific recs here bc you cant Really go wrong w any)

You have a record player right? If so, would you mind saying what kind it is and if you recommend? Also the price point?
I really want to get some of Taylor’s vinyls but I have no idea what kind of record player to get. I don’t want to spend a ton of money but also don’t want to get something that’s garbage.
i have the RT85 from fluance with A2+ audioengine speakers, it’s in the higher-mid tier (i wouldn’t spend any more than this unlesss i got VERY into vinyl, this is the top of my budget and was intended as an investment piece, but i wanted something genuinely high quality since i buy a lot of vinyl). i would not at all recommend this just starting out, although fluance has other models at lower price points! i’m very happy with it, if i do anything further i’d probably upgrade my speakers.
i’d recommend fluance as a brand but you’ll have to do a bit more research on speakers etc since they just have turntables. if you want something more beginner friendly, you can’t go wrong with audio-technica! they make stuff that’s quality but still made for people just starting out, it won’t be the Best sound but it will be perfect for building a collection! the only thing i’d really stay away from is crosley, i know they’re cheap but the sound truly is ass and if you really intend on using it, it’ll damage your vinyl pretty quick.

high end audio
Has anyone built speaker driver cones made out of 1000 dollar bills yet ?
I know of of gold components & pure copper lining.
I like copper.
Oh right , stereo.
Stereo.
I read that injecting cash can cure some ailments ?
Some high end audio designers come right to your house , hand delivered & set up for you .
I gotta learn about chokes , in general but , this particular amplifier I've recently seen reviewed.
Realistically , I'm shooting for a(cheapest) McIntosh hybrid integrated for a analog & classic vibe setup.
I got my daily knock around system already.
So , speakers , turntable & digital system ?
My powered Klipsch sixes are back to factory wiring & back in the living room .
Boomers they are .
Bass boom . They need a big room for one & I'm sure that they're also voiced that way .
List
List
Lisp .
I am going to get the Klipsch RP600 original & pair that with my Dayton Audio integrated amp. I'm pretty positive that's the best route to take & satisfy most of my current needs . Probably better isolating feet for the Fluance turntable, but for a few more bucks i may scrap the fluance. It doesn't hold up for me . It's not a bad product at all , but I should have gotten the direct drive Audio technica .
I know that is a solid table for the money & a little more . It won't ruin your records , or your listening sessions . No auto stop is what really stop my choice when it came down to it & maybe having to move again... it weighs more & I would be more sad getting rid of it .
Ahhh.

My Drag Talk Vinyl is on its way. I just 3 new Ghost records (I got the BBC sessions).
AND MY RECORD PLAYER HAS GONE TO SHIT! 😭
To be fair... it was one of those suitcase ones (and yes...I know they're terrible: I'm saving up for a Fluance). I've also had it since 2016-ish. So, ya know...

Purple, red, white, and black.
We’re all curious but all too shy to ask
I was not expecting this at all but thank you anon!!!
Purple: 10 facts about my room
I have one flat screen TV in there
Lots and lots of vinyl records
One Fluance RT81 record player
Two pillows on my bed
A closet full of band tees
My alarm clock is right next to my bed
One ceiling fan
Two windows
One Nintendo Switch
A respectful number of blankets
Red: 5 facts about my best friend
This one is tough for me because I consider my brother my best friend as my other friends don't meet that standard since we only hang out 2-3 times out of the year seeing they have wives and kids.
He is three younger than me
He like the same music as me
He like the same movies as me
We both go to concerts together
He is also a big Philly sports fan
White: 3 facts about my personality
I am certainly more extroverted as I try to include and help others out the best that I can!
I been described as upbeat by others which is nicer than the opposite.
I always try to listen and support especially when someone is having a bad day.
Black: 1 fact about the person I like
She's super cute, makes me laugh, and we get along pretty well which is what you need in order to have a good relationship, right? That was three facts but I don't care.

One inexpensive step to save your sound bar from the trash
I love bass. Using my optical audio cable, I’ve been sending a full-spectrum signal to my Fluance soundbar for a few years. It had pretty amazing bass response until I tried a Foo Fighters show at full volume. My bass in the soundbar was shot, but only on ultra low frequencies, so I realized that sending the whole spectrum to my Fluance was redundant on account of my Polk Audio subwoofer, which…

Fluance's new affordable turntable could be what you've been waiting for – I'll take one in walnut
(Image credit: Fluance) Canadian turntable maker Fluance has launched a new RT81+ High Fidelity Vinyl Turntable, a starter turntable that’s an upgraded version of the brand’s flagship RT81 model.  In our Fluance RT81 turntable review, we said that it’s “easily the best starter turntable you can buy” and, with a series of updates, we believe the RT81+ could be a no-brainer for those looking to…
