do you have any splatoon ocs?
sure do, with more on the way! i can’t stop making these babies LMAO heres a rundown (btw tilly and nana are both failed squidsonas, they became their own ocs fhskdh):
jackie•octoling•she/they•: born and raised in the tentatek region of splatsville with an intense appreciation for inkopolis and takarokan fashion. jackie’s got an insanely low social battery and they’re notably very shy, making faster friends with shopkeeps than they do with other inkfish. she rarely if ever competes in any turf games if she can help it, mostly wielding easier weapons like the vanilla splattershot jr.
nana•inkling•custom splattershot jr.•they/them: born in inkopolis and moved to splatsville at a young age, nana is a young up-and-coming musician with a passion for all things fusion. they’re notoriously very loud and impulsive, and will stay up until 3 am slamming on their drumset or plunking out tunes— much to the discomfort of their roommate. they’re a massive toni kensa fan and can’t bear being seen in anything but kensa gear, which has already run their thin musician pockets into the ground. they’ve tried for a kensa sponsorship so frequently despite their abysmal lack of competitive skill that they’ve already been blacklisted from several store locations, but they’re nothing if not stubborn. they spend many hours in the work week salmon running, hoping to earn enough to line their closet with even more kensa gear.
raccoon•inkling•variety chargers•they/them: raccoon is a splatsville native but has never followed too intensely into the rambunctious and colorful nature of their hometown, having lived the majority of their life selectively mute. out of all of the other cephalopods in my roster they’re by far the most competitively adept LMAO they’re a variety charger onetrick who sometimes flexes into blasters, and they’re a complete and utter deadshot. they land their shots so frequently that they tend to wear headgear that obscures their vision just to handicap themselves, which in turn helps them train. for their terrifying charger prowess they’ve got an equally terrifying visage— bright, unblinking yellow eyes with contracted pupils and a perpetual grin— but they’re actually a massive sweetheart with a cheeky sense of humor.
snow•octoling•vanilla splash-o-matic•she/her: snow is one of many octarian army defects spurred by the calamari inkantation. she was a relatively high ranking tactician/battle strategist, and she carries that same skillset into her competitive play. she’s very proper and curt, oftentimes rude in how she addresses her fellow teammates to the point that they joke that she never “mentally” defected. there is, however, a way into her heart: cute stuffed animals and squid sisters merchandise.
tilly•octoling•sloshing machine•she/her: tilly was born in the takarokan splatlands to all but neglectful parents. being left to fend for herself at a young age led her straight to a grizzco branch located out in the badlands, and she’s been doing nothing but salmon run since. she takes her job very seriously and is quick to scrutinize any less capable teammates (though not out loud). she spends most of her days stalking around grumbling to herself, shooting withering glares at any passerby unfortunate enough to have locked eyes with her.
heres the th https://toyhou.se/~characters/manage/folder:4394713 u can also see my ocs through the tizzylings tag sorry if my english got jumbled these waves are killing me

uhmm hi:3
Warabi flexes a lot but enjoys range blaster, Z+F charger, splash-o-matics and octobrush the most. is open to all weapons except nozzlenoses and brellas (theyre boring)
Ikkan mains heavy weapons like dynamo, explosher and hydra, doesnt enjoy aggressive slayer weapons. likes being an anchor and a support
Taka mains dualies and maybe trislosher, wants to main chargers and tries to impress Warabi with them but always fails 💜 his pretty good dualie skills do impress Warabi however
DONNIE ASK YEGAGAGHHHHHH ALSO OMG YES true. THE TAKA PART. ikkan being support makes so much sense let the guy do his thing in peace lol...

Sticky Buns
There were several things about mini-me that were embarrassing. First of all, I was held back in kindergarten for being “too small.” My teachers were worried that me, a tiny brown girl with curly hair bigger than her head, would get bullied if I wasn’t the same size as the other kids. I waited the extra year in hopes of catching up, but I got bullied anyways. Secondly, I was a nerd. Not a cute quiet nerd, mind you, but an obnoxious, always-carrying-a-book-and-reading-aloud-to-herself type of nerd. Finally, and probably most insufferably, I was known as the teacher’s pet. If all of that wasn’t enough, I was that kid. I was the kid in school who peed her pants.
After the first few accidents, Mom found that I was simply unable to ‘hold it’. She chuckled as she wrote the note to my teachers that made it official: I had to go when I said. Because my hand was annoyingly stuck in the air anyways, it made notifying teachers easy. Once I hit middle school, my reputation preceded me. When I wiggled around in my seat like I had ants in my pants, and waved more fervently that normal, the teachers would sigh and point to the door. My wiggly dance down the hall was a sight to see.
Tiny me thought this worked pretty well. I was getting out of class as much as I could want, no questions asked. Since I was a ‘good kid’, I never took this for granted (Of course I did, how could you believe a child?!). Mom and the doctor had other plans for me. Something about getting a diagnosis for what made my bladder weak, but I think the word they were looking for was ‘Loser’. I peed in a cup seven times before starting treatment. Most people never have had to pee in a cup once. I’m jealous.
Homework was not foreign to me. In fact, homework was my favorite pastime (I told you I was insufferable), until the doctor gave me bladder homework. Did you know you could educate your bladder? After weeks of this at-home ball-squeezing and hip-flexing homework, I went back in for testing. My new routine was: get to the pee doctor’s, drink as much water as I could hold, get the cup from my mom, and send my pee away for Science. That day held other plans, for which my mom promised me McDonald’s. Before I even processed how these new plans would help me exactly, five extremely sticky nodes were attached to my butt.
If you’re wondering how terrible it is to be hooked up to the Butt-o-Matic, I couldn’t tell you because I promptly zoned out for the rest of the visit. All I knew was that I was being rewarded for this discomfort with salty fries and a thick shake. I pictured bringing my meal in when I was dropped back off at school, flexing on my classmates with the greasy bag. For once, I would lord over my class.
After a half an hour of doing the exercises with nodes hanging off my butt, I was finished. On my way out, I was offered a Princess Jasmine sticker. Letting my face show my sadness and, blinking at the doctor, I asked if I could also have the Princess Ariel one. The doctor’s face shifted into one of pity. She gave me both stickers.
Mom fulfilled her promise, swinging by the Drive Thru while pulling her Aldi’s employee sweater on. The water I’d had from the water fountain was starting to make its appearance and, since I hadn’t peed in the cup, I had critically miscalculated. As she pulled to the first window to pay, I leapt out of the car, slamming the door shut on my mom’s surprise. I barely made it in time. She was laughing when she swung the car around the front of the building and I came out. “Welcome back, Sticky Buns,” is all she said before driving me the rest of the way to school.
I sauntered into the building with the aromatic McDonald’s bag swinging from my grasp, my tattered Percy Jackson book in the other, and my buns still slightly sticky.
Forever Writing,
quill rose

when you have dreams about
-a bunch of D&D characters fighting in a city when the full moon comes out, meaning a werewolf could pop out at any time, except it’s not a werewolf, it’s Mr. T, and he grabs ahold me and leaps into the sky
-there being a new area for gunbrick reloaded, based on photons and stuff. i think it was loosely based on the namco game phozon.
-me being a pikmin and wanting to make more pikmin, so i conclude i have to hunt down as many rabbits as possible(but not kimbly).
-immediately after i tried to hunt down the rabbits, i found myself in a toy store where i tried to look for cool new stuff. but all i found was a toy bank that resembled the green dragon from bubble bobble(it didn’t look like him, this is for comparison purposes only). then it became a childhood bank toy i had. i was confused, as i thought it was discontinued, but when i looked closer, i saw that it was weird al yankovic that was selling them(but not making them).
-me playing splatoon 2, but everyone i was trying to splat were using super-accurate splash-o-matics, and didn’t take damage no matter how hard i aimed.
-me reading a book of sorts that had quiz questions in it that may or may not have had to do with pokemon and the bible.
-also in the book was an article about harambe. apparently he got into a lot more trouble prior to the kid falling into his pit, as he once tried to attack someone in the basketball bleachers at a indoor high school basketball game. i also read that the wayback machine was initially private until someone hacked it, revealing all it’s data to the public. weird flex but ok.

neo splash o matic :}
nsplash is a good little killing machine, but it IS a four shot kill that's outranged by some other slayers, so be aware of that when you take engagements. you're more mobile than them though, and can jump in fights, so use that to your advantage
nsplash is 2.4 mpu for 33.3, and is a good build to run for offence. you can play a supportive nsplash tho, and ideally any nsplash should at least flex into the supportive role, and support the team with paint on the floor and bomb rushes. use your sub to finish off engagements and assist teammates in their fights by throwing one in their direction. it's a very good weapon right now, so be smart and you'll get a lot out of your matches

Medea Plays Pokemon Sword (&Shield): Part VII
Well, it has been a couple of months since the last update. Quite honestly, I did a few little tidbits with my games when I got the opportunity.
Like give my team the Gigantamax treatment.
Make more items on the abomination-o-matic
(nice callback to Kurt)
Get my certificate (only for the first pokedex)
I made this little bitch cry again.
I celebrated my birthday!
Honey, 2020 has been a trip and I hope to God it ends faster than a battle against a Magikarp that only knows Splash.
Pound my friggin’ head against a wall because this dex entry made me recall an unpleasant Pokemon episode.
My rage is rising...RISING DAMMIT!
And watch Honey quickly become best girl of the game.
Did, um...Did she kick his ass for real?
Can we please see her in anime form?
ON TO THE TUNDRA!
South of Galar is the frozen wasteland known as the Crown Tundra. As soon as you arrive, you’ll get an update in your pokedex and you’ll run into some trouble.
Is this a stranger danger moment or just some snotty teenager moment?
Either way, you battle this fella so that his daughter can escape his clingy father’s clutches.
Heads up, this fool has level 70+ steel-type pokemon. Much like a certain other person in this game. But we’ll get to that when we get to that.
Peony’s daughter leaves and goes to a place called the Max Lair. A place filled to the brim with legendary pokemon.
You rent pokemon. Go down different paths. After three rounds, then you can go up against a legendary. The automatic players aren’t as useless as normal raid battles. And you can always ask friends and relations on the internet to join you.
Let’s talk to our good mate, Peony.
No wonder his daughter wants to ditch him. Peony’s a fall-down drunk.
Wow, he very well could be a fall-down drunk. And then this...
Good eye. Actually, Peony is in fact Chairman Rose’s brother. Even Oleanna was confused.
Let’s head off to the one town in this frozen tundra.
Freezington? Oh, Pokemon...
Before I get to the tasks, let’s go skulking around the areas.
FUCK!
Nobody. Absolutely no-fucking-body missed these blood-sucking, annoying as fuck, blue-balled fucks. Say what you will about this game and the lack of essential pokemon, not seeing Zubat for a straight 11 months in a game was a God-send!
NEBBY IS OUT OF THE BAG!
NEBBY IS OUT OF THE BAG!
Lady, that’s not a Fwoofy. That’s a Nebby!
You will receieve Cosmog after you save the town of Freezington.
Only I could be so fucking thrilled about being followed by two Clefables. To be fair, only one of those is wild. Missy was just following me and ignoring the wild one.
I got my sixth OG pokemon pal, Lucy the Dratini.
FYI, not every pokemon is in the Crown Tundra pokedex. I still await Ampharos. But the Dratini line-up makes me very happy.
This giant tree. You can shake it. No fruit comes down. But if you shake it just right...
Giant, fat squirrely. Gigantamaxed!
Well, onto the missions with Peony.
In the tundra, there’s a huge tree you can see from a long ways away. That’s where the Galarian Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno are.
And I disturbed the harmony of fire, ice, and lightening.
If you don’t get what I just said, fuck off.
The three birds took off in different directions and start causing havoc throughout the Galar region.
Moltres will flap around the Isle of Armor
Zapdos will run around in Wild Area
And Articuno will troll you in the coldest area of the Crown Tundra.
It should also be worth mentioning that the Galarian forms are different types. Moltres is part dark, Zapdos is part fighting, and Articuno is part psychic.
Disturb not the harmony of Dark, Psychic, and Fighting.
Next up...
*singing incoherently* YEAGER!
Sorry, force of habit.
Throughout the tundra are giant buildings that require you of something in order for it to open. Much like the Ruby/Sapphire games, you go through some tedious tasks just to get the Regi-trio. On top of that, they give us the same OST.
Once you capture Regirock, Registeel, and Regice, you can get one of the new Regis. But you can only pick one. Either the dragon type or electric type.
And finally...
This one is kind of a lengthy mission. It starts with taking the head of a statue from Peony (who has been using it as a pillow).
Dude. Why would you think the head of a statue is a fucking pillow?
Lay off the Absolut, would ya?!
Once you return the head onto the statue, a new pokemon would like a word with you.
But wait Medea, pokemon can’t talk.
Taken care of!
Here’s a human host.
And this happens time...
And time...
And time again!
Shouldn’t have insulted Calyrex’s head, mate.
It’s been eons since anyone has sighted Calyrex and only some of the elders of Freezington know about it. So after asking village elders, talking to the mayor, buying carrot seeds, and planting carrot seeds, we’re about to meet Calyrex’s noble steed.
Calyrex does not have that much power, but if he has his noble steed maybe it could happen. Just that Rin Sohma over here is stubborn. And we have to chase it to the highest, coldest part of Crown Tundra. Plus have the mayor and Peony craft an item that’ll attach both pokemon when they’re together.
God Peony, get it together.
Once these two are together again, you may battle them and catch them.
Once captured, you can detach both pokemon with the special item you crafted during the mission. FYI, Pokemon HOME will not allow you to put the fused one in the box.
Now that all three missions are finished, Peony’s daughter Peonia will show up.
And totally ruin the moment with his daughter.
I thought he was trying to propose to her to be honest. After Peonia runs off in disgust and Peony chases after her it looks like the adventure isn’t over yet.
Eh...I’ll take a break from this portion.
Another thing to do in the Crown Tundra...
Tracking footprints.
And suddenly I remember having to complete that fat-fuck, Zygardre.
Sonia is doing some research and once you get 100% in three areas, it’ll open the doors to some more legendaries.
And finally...
If you’re from the Trump campaign, I’m reporting you to the police for harassment.
Oh God, it’s Leon.
Well, the hammy, former-champion wants to flex his muscles by doing yet another tournament. Where you can battle alongside someone.
Fuck’s sake, this skank is here too?
Yeah, depending on what game you play Klara and Avery return to compete and to tell you that they are now a gym leader (in the minor division).
Old age?
If Leon is old to Raihan, what does that make someone like Opal?
It works much like the league rematches, except you’re in doubles with the person of your choice.
Well, this has been a wild ride filled with legendaries. Lots and lots and LOTS of legendaries.
And no Ampharos!
One can only wonder if there’ll be another game expansion with more DLC’s in the future. I mean, there’s a good chunk of the entire pokedex that’s still prohibited from being in the game. Now, are these expansion packs worth the extra $30 per game? I found joy in these. But I know some people who are disenchanted by how small these side quests are or the lack of their favorite pokemon or some other such bitching.
I honestly don’t think there’ll be any more surprise areas of the Galar region for there to be another side quest. Unless they create an Ireland for us to fly to that has a town full of Wooloos and Mareeps. It should be a thing, but it isn’t. What will the future hold for Sword and Shield? Will we get more in the coming year or will the creators move onto bigger and more exciting projects?
In the meantime, I’m going to fill up these pokedexes.
I’m sure there’s gotta be some more fucked-up entries that rival the ghost types.
And just like that, I have vivid Cell from DBZ flashbacks.

Tip #38: Team Comps - Various Roles/Comps You Might See
In ranked and competitive play team comps give the team a framework to start strategizing on an individual level and a team level. Depending on your team’s choice of weapons you can figure out how to work with your teammates and also see where you can hit the enemy team the hardest.
I’m gonna write this a little differently to go over various team roles and some example comps you might see in Ranked (based on roles with example weapons. Trying to list actual comps is way too specific if you’re playing Ranked):
Roles: Usually I see players fall into some form of these five prominent roles when playing Ranked. From my experience this is what each role usually pertains to:
- Frontline: Usually the Slayer/Objective oriented players take up the frontlines. They’re the ones moving the objective or holding primary control over the stage. A lot of weapons can fall into this category except the specialized ones.
- Flank: Another Slayer-like role that emphasizes KO’s and disruption on the enemy team so everyone else can focus on the objective. Weapons with shorter range and better KO potential like O-Matic’s, Dapple Dualies, and Rollers usually fall into this category.
- Support: Players playing weapons that can take to the frontlines but prefer to hang back are usually the support. In my experience, weapons like the Splattershot Pro series, Squelchers, Sloshing Machine/Explosher, Mini Splatling and others can fulfill this role due to having good mobility to thrive in combat but their weapon’s attack patterns prefer they hang back.
- Flex: Units that can flex between roles (hence the name Flex) can switch up their roles on the fly depending on the situation. As like the Frontliners, a lot of weapons can fall into this category as well depending on their playstyle.
- Anchor: Units that live in the backlines. Long range weapons like Chargers and Splatlings focus on holding down the fort and double up as a living squid beacon for their allies if the comp doesn’t have beacons on hand.
And for some team comps you might see, I’m gonna list out some power-hitting comps (with weapon examples) that Ranked might put you in/match you against so you have a better idea about these comps:
- Frontline (ex: Tentatek Splattershot), Flex (ex: Blaster), Support (ex: Kensa Sloshing Machine), Anchor (ex: Splat Charger)
Pros: Usually one of the best comps in terms of balance and team/individual strategy. Easy to coordinate in and houses a lot of power if this team’s momentum starts snowballing.
Cons: Since everything is so defined, you can easily identify who’s playing what role and can pick off whatever role is being annoying. Can be tough to crack, but it’s definitely possible to cut off vital roles here and there depending on where you are.
- Flank (ex: Dapple Dualies), Flex (ex: Clash Blaster Neo), Support (ex: Rapid Blaster Pro), Anchor (ex: Hero Charger Replica)
Pros: More focused around getting the kills to put pressure through the enemy having lower numbers most of the time. In modes like Tower Control and Rainmaker this comp can be the win-it-all due to having an extremely good affinity for putting enemies down and escorting the objective effectively.
Cons: Depending on weapon selection this comp may flop in modes like Splat Zones and maybe Clam Blitz due to a lack of efficient ink output. You may run into a situation where your kills will matter if your team is getting overwhelmed and cut off due to the enemy putting out more ink and ground control than you can handle.
- Frontline (ex: Splattershot), Flank (ex: Sploosh-o-Matic), Flex (ex: Enperry Splat Dualies), Support (Forge Splattershot Pro)
Pros: Can hit ridiculously hard and is scary to fight against. If you’re in a comp like this your team has many venues of attack and strategies to keep the pressure on the opponent.
Cons: Can be confusing to figure out where you might fall since everyone is playing a weapon that lives on the front/mid-lines. Also team wipes are an apparent threat since your team doesnt have a dedicated backliner/anchor to try and live as long as possible.
- Frontline (ex: .52 Gal), Frontline (ex: Dark Tetra Dualies), Anchor (ex: Heavy Splatling), Anchor (ex: E-Liter 4K Scope)
Pros: Having a backliner that can flex between Support and Anchor can create an incredible defense when they too are backed by another Anchor. Pushes may be slow, but the two Frontliners having a lot of back support can really emphasize pushes when they count.
Cons: Weapon balance is extremely finicky and this comp can flop with bad weapon balance. Also if someone dies then the team balance can also be completely thrown off.
There are so many more comps I haven't gone into and the strength of these comps can change depending on the specific weapons in said team. At the least I hope that this will give you some insight into strategy development and such when delving into Ranked Battles.

No All-Star Game? No Problem, As Drew Carey, Slim Jim Phantom To Manage Teams As Strat-O-Matic Simulates Contest In Interactive Live Video July 14 Via Wizard World Virtual Experiences
Actor, host, comedian and baseball super-fan Drew Carey will match wits with his friend and fellow Strat-O-Matic player, musician Slim Jim Phantom, when the two square off as managers of the American League and National League teams, respectively, when Strat-O-Matic (www.strat-o-matic.com) simulates the 2020 baseball All Star Game on Tuesday, July 14. Carey and Phantom will appear live on video streaming on Wizard World’s Twitch, Facebook and YouTube channels beginning at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT, giving fans the opportunity to interact with each other as well as pose questions via chat to be considered for the broadcast.
Carey and Phantom will select the starting lineups from the All-Star Game rosters chosen by Strat-O-Matic fans based on its simulation of the 2020 baseball season to date. During the broadcast, the “Whose Line is it Anyway?” host and “Stray Cats” drummer will make lineup and pitching changes while discussing their baseball fandom and respective careers, with veteran sportscaster Seth Everett serving as moderator on the Wizard World Virtual Experiences (www.wizardworldvirtual.com) platform, which has hosted more than 50 celebrity, artist, author and pop culture panels in recent weeks.
The Strat-O-Matic All-Star broadcast will also feature surprise “drop-in” guests from the baseball and entertainment worlds, along with a running visual of the digital version of the game to allow fans to follow along with the action. Fans who miss the live broadcast can watch it on demand anytime on the same platforms.
“Slim Jim and I are in a Strat-O-Matic league together, so this will be a fun way to flex our managerial muscles and show that the American League is truly dominant in baseball,” joked Carey, whose Cleveland baseball fandom is well known. “Like all fans, we’ll miss not seeing the players on the field next Tuesday, but I look forward to talking baseball with Slim Jim and with fans who tune in to the broadcast.”
Carey is a stand-up comic turned actor and producer who had the distinction of having two hit shows simultaneously: the long-running comedy "The Drew Carey Show," which ran from 1995-2004, and the improv/sketch show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" on which he was host and a producer. The success of that show led to the creation of "Drew Carey's Improv All-Stars," an improv troupe that performed in showrooms across the country. In July 2007, Carey was named the host of “The Price is Right,” succeeding longtime host Bob Barker.
Phantom is the drummer for the band Stray Cats and host of "Rockabilly Raveup" in Little Steven's Underground Garage and Fantasy Baseball's "Slim Jim Phantasy,” both on SiriusXM.
“Avid Strat-O-Matic players are found in all walks of life, and Drew Carey and Slim Jim Phantom are emblematic of its popularity across the entertainment world,” said Adam Richman, Strat-O-Matic President. “We couldn’t be more excited that they have agreed to manage the teams and we think there will be plenty of laughs, great baseball and entertainment talk.”
Strat-O-Matic, the market leader in sports simulations, updates results and standings daily at www.strat-o-matic.com/2020-season-simulation/. It will continue daily until the baseball season resumes (currently set for July 23), at which point Strat-O-Matic will simulate the remainder of the original schedule and playoffs, and preview the recently-announced abbreviated 60-game slate.
Strat-O-Matic also announced the rosters for its 2020 All-Star Game simulation, available here: http://www.strat-o-matic.com/2020allstarrosters/, with fans able to select the final player to be added to both teams at www.twitter.com/stratomatic.
Strat-O-Matic has experienced unprecedented growth over the past quarter, registering sharp increases in sales, traffic and social numbers. Board and Windows games, digital platform Strat-O-Matic Baseball 365, Website traffic, new users and social media have all seen significant boosts over comparable time periods as fans continue to satiate their thirst for baseball, Strat-O-Matic style, connecting with the game and each other across all of these areas.

Affiliate Marketing Video #7 Monetizing and Video Review

Waving is one of my favorite style in popping; the sensation and the versatility of it is what I like the most. It’s also something people relate to easily when they watch you dance because they’ve seen it before either from another dancer or in nature. It consist of emulating an ondulation like we see in nature either from water, wind or vibrations of matter of any kind; the idea is to emulate it by moving a sequence of body parts one after the other. By isolating them well the dancer creates the wave effect with his body.
It can also be considered a dance in itself because it’s composed of so many different styles within it: liquid, tracing, energy ball, wind, rubix cube, bouncing, etc. It can also be mixed easily with other styles in popping and all moves as well (for example, a Toyman waving Twist-O-Flex).
I chose a Darryl Stokes video to portray it because I like how he keeps popping and dimestopping with the waves; besides being a legendary waver OG from Pomona Wavemasters, he’s also an innovator who created many waving styles some of wich are shown in this short clip. I also like this video because it shows how waving is a FULL body thing meaning that the dancer becomes the undulation; he can travel and dance with it.
There is many impressive wavers out there: my ULTIMATE go to to learn waving is WAVE-O-MATIC (RIP). He has great tutorial video: The Art of Dance which I recommend tremendously. A special post will be dedicated to him, his memory and how he changed my vision of the popping culture when I had the chance to meet and learn from him in 2005.
Here’s a short list of my favorite at the moment in no particular order:
Funktion (ABM)
PopNtod (iLuminate, Soulbotics Krew, Legion of Extraordinary Dancers, Substance Over Hype)
Namco (FBC)

Mimi stood at the entrance of the arena, in her clan shirt. This was her first tournament and she was extremely excited and nervous. Ryder and Rex stood outside with her, waiting for her team name to be called. "Uhhh. I'm so nervous!" Mimi squealed, tapping her feet on the floor as she almost marched in place. She turned to them, "I'll be okay, right?" Rex nodded, flexing his arm, "You learned from the best!" Rex winked at her, of course referring to their countless training sessions. Mimi smiled up at him, nodding. Ryder scoffed and snickered, rolling his eyes and crossing his arms as he watched Rex's ego appear from almost of out no where. Rex looked over, mocking his laugh, "What? You jealous that I got to train Mimi for her games?" Rex walked over, wrapping his arm around her shoulders, pulling her into him. Ryder tilted his head, his smirk only getting more cocky. He approached them, "Not really." He leaned down into Mimi's face. Rex blinked, a bit surprised as he watched Mimi blushed, moving away a bit, seemingly all flustered. "Because I did get to help her train...~ Just in a different way." Ryder went in to kiss her and Mimi flipped, "RYDER!!!!!" Her face was beat red and shoved his face away from hers. Rex moved back, watching the odd scene take place. He was was honestly so confused. Ryder snatched her up in his arms after Rex moved away, kissing Mimi's cheeks as she covered her face with her hands. Her little feet dangled above the ground as Ryder held her up to his height, still harassing her. Rex honestly, felt sick to his stomach. After Ryder put her down, Mimi balled her fist, punching him in the arm. "Ow!! What was that for!?" Mimi but her lips, her face flustered and her expression angry. She looked like she was about to cry. She looked back at Rex and then hurried off, into the arena, even though her team hadn't been called yet. Ryder called out to her as she ran; confused as to what he did wrong. Rex knew. He looked at Ryder. Still. Silent. And very sad. "You.. told her..." Ryder looked over at Rex as he spoke. "...I did. We've been... dating for a few weeks now." Rex bit down hard on his teeth, "Dating?" Ryder nodded. "She didn't want to say anything to anyone until we knew it was going to work out." "Is it?" Rex asked. Ryder blinked, looking at the direction she ran in, "It was." He slowly looked back at Rex, "But anytime you come around, she wants nothing to do with me..." Ryder stuffed his hands in his pockets, looking over at him. Rex gulped a bit. "I don't think she'll ever really get over you, Rex..." Rex started to pant a little. "What do you mean?" Ryder scoffed, "Your head is not that fucking thick. She really likes you. And she's hurt that you never asked her out or anything of that nature. You guys fucked that one time, and she had always hoped for something more." You could almost see the color drain from his face, "You know.." Ryder looked over at Rex, somewhat annoyed, "She's not like you. She doesn't keep secrets." Rex blinked, "YES SHE DOES! She's never said anything to me about liking me!" Ryder's expression became angry, "Because, Rex! She's waiting for you to make a move! And I can't be mad at her, because she really is trying with me. But... she..." Ryder laughed a bit, "She likes you." Ryder looked back at Rex, "If you ever gain the courage to tell her, I won't be mad, you know. I want her to be happy. And you." Ryder smiled a bit at him, taking one of his hands It of his pockets, patting his back. "Let's go find out seats." Ryder turned to walk to the guest section where they would be seated. Rex quickly grabbed Ryder, pulling him into a hug. "I love you, man. You're the best friend any squid could ever ask for. You're so patient and caring. And you love other way more than yourself." Rex pulled away, "You just try to come off as this asshole because you don't want people to know what you really are..." Ryder smiled at his words, "Talk to her." Rex gulped, looking at Ryder with awe. Ryder wasn't mad. He knew that him and Mimi wouldn't work if her and Rex could. Mimi told him ages ago that her and Rex had fucked. Ryder just knew he would've regret not trying. But he did, and it didn't. He felt like he would've been selfish to keep two of his best friends from being happy if they would've been happier together. Ryder and Rex found their seats in the stands, looking out into the field as they competitors took their sides of the stage. Mimi's team was light blue. Mimi stood on the spawn with her three teammates, holding her Sploosh-o-matic close to her. She looked very focused, zoning in as her leader gave them a game plan. The timer began a countdown, the players rushing off at the announcer yelled, 'Go!' The stage was Inkblot Art Academy and Mimi quickly took the left side of the stage, dropping down from the safety of their base and into the battle field. Both teams were neck and neck for most of the game, in the last 30 seconds, the opposing team took a lead by taking out two players on her side. Now it was a 4 v 2, and there odds weren't looking so good. Mimi was being pressured by the splattershot pro on their team, keeping her locked in the left field as she struggled to head for middle ground. She tossed a bomb, the bomb sliding across the ground and creating an ink trail for her. Mimi used it to get to cover behind the cement block on the corner. Quickly, she climbed it, jumping from the air and splatting the pro. Rex and Ryder cheered her on from the stands, watching as she made her way behind, inking what she could in the way. She got behind the other teammates, inking their only ways out before jumping and using her splash down, taking out the remains three squids on the opposite team. Rex and Ryder jumped from their seats, screaming in amazement at her successful plan. This allowed Mimi's team to push forward, leaving the pro the only one left on the team before the game ended. Mimi's team ended in victory and she won her first tournament. The stage cleared out with Ryder and Rex waiting outside for Mimi. Ryder was so excited for her, but thought about it how special it could be, if Rex was the only one there for her after her tournament. Rex stood, excitedly bouncing, waiting for Mimi to walk out. Ryder looked at him, smiling sadly. Quickly he turned, slipping away before being noticed. Rex watched, seeing the Red colored squid come out with her clan and their trophy. Rex yelled out to her, "Mimi!!!" He waved at her. Mimi looked up, seeing him there. Her face lit up as she ran towards him. Rex held out his arms, scooping her up at his jumped into him. He hugged her tightly, spinning her around. Mimi hugged his face, giggling as he gently sat her down, "I'm so proud of you!" Mimi smiled up at him, her cheeks flushed bright red. "Thanks!!~" She was so lost in the moment, it taking her a while before realizing Ryder was gone. "Where's Ryder?" Rex blinked, "Uhh..." he looked around thinking he was right behind him. He felt his phone buzz. Pulling to out of his pocket, he looked down at his phone, seeing that Ryder had texted him. "Talk to her." Rex blinked, "Uh... He had to go. Something about... something." Mimi blinked up at him, "Oh. Uh... I'm sorry. About earlier." "What?" "With Ryder..." "Oh, yeah... about that..." Rex thought maybe he should bring it up now, "Ryder... I uhm... Mimi..." Rex gently look her hands, holding them gently, "I... I'm so sorry about everything. About leaving you in the dark for so long and lying to you about my feelings. I... I really do like you. A lot. And... I already talked to Ryder about it, and if you want to try, maybe we could.. be together?" Mimi just blinked up at him, the blush on her face becoming greater, "Like... what do you mean, together?" Rex scratched the back of his head nervously, "Like... boyfriend and girlfriend together..." He couldn't even look at her, he was so embarrassed. Mimi just blinked, her heart beginning to race a million miles a minuet. "Really? You... you want to?" Rex shyly coward into his shoulders, shrugging a bit, but nodding. Mimi felt happy right now, it was an indescribable feeling. She reached up and grabbed his face, pulling him down and pressing her lips against hers. She closed her eyes, kissing him passionately. Rex blinked in surprise as their lips pushed together. It only took him a few seconds before he closed his eyes, kissing her back while wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her into him. It was like fireworks going off inside their heads. Mimi continued to cup his cheeks as they kissed, gently pulling away after a while. She looked up at her, her eyes sparkling with amazement. Rex sighed happily, pulling her into a hug. Mimi hugged him back, placing her hand on the back of his head and he nuzzled into her neck, smelling her. She smelled like sweets and candy. Something he'd never really experienced before. Pulling away, he took her hand, holding it gently. "Let's go eat.~" Mimi smiled up at him, "A date?" Rex blushed a bit, but nodded, "Yeah! A date and to celebrate your first win!!!" He pulled her close, hugging her tightly. Mimi giggled, cuddling into him as they walked to the restaurant of her choice. Best. Day. Ever.
