I’ve really only watched PD and Riptide so. take these ^__^ (SPOILERS UP TO RIPTIDE EP109 AND UP TO PD S2 EP19)

Riptide:

- Chip tried to teach Gillion sign language, but he was very confused at first. He didn’t get it because signing “sun” didn’t make a literal sun, etc. He even thought they were magic spells/incantations at one point. Eventually, though, Gill finally understood them— most prominently, the sign for “I love you”. He signed it to Jay during that moment in ep 53, and Chip found the slightest bit of strength during that moment in 109 to curl two fingers in and sign “I love you” to his crew, with what he thought was the last of his strength.

- Mae (May?) Ferin has very curly hair, which was brown but greyed with age. Jay got the vibrant orange hair from her father, but in my brain she has the curls from her mother, and to me that symbolizes how she strikes a balance between being a Ferin and being her own person, following what her mother wants for her (which is just to be happy).

^^^(Ava Ferin had the same hair as her father. She was the spitting image of what a navy captain was meant to be. She was like a mini Jayson growing up.)

- All the Ferins have wings. That’s it. Jayson’s, Jay’s, Ava’s, etc. are white, slightly blue-ish feathers. Drey’s wings are brown and black. His wings are pretty out of shape now, he can’t really fly anymore, but he can still lift them enough to put them over Jay’s, or Ollie’s, or Finn’s shoulders, and it’s like a blanket. He does it to Earl sometimes just because Earl hates it lmao

- Gillion has very long hair and prides himself on all the ways he can braid it into the traditional styles of the Undersea. It’s a slightly different way of braiding than on the oversea, though, so he taught his way of braiding to Jay, who taught her way of braiding to him. They also taught Ollie. who does Drey’s hair for him and occasionally Chip’s if he can be convinced.

- Hair is also a very sacred thing in the Undersea— one only cuts their hair when they have lost a battle, and so long hair is very respectable. When Gill first was exiled to the Oversea, his hip-length hair got cut very short, up to his chin. It grew out gradually over the campaign, but he tried to cut it after the events of 53, only being convinced not to by Jay when she fully understood why he was doing it. Gillion prides himself very much on his hair.

- Jay is dyslexic. In the Feywild, during that one segment, she lost the ability to read because the magic was preying on one of her insecurities, in a sense. Dyslexic Jay the headcanon i truth most.

- Chip has mild apraxia. It’s real to me.

- Also all of albatrio has/had speech impediments cause I said so. Gillion has rhotacism, Jay has a stutter, and Chip had a lisp growing up which still slips out occasionally.

-Joke headcanon that slowly became real to me: Gillion did Chip’s top surgery in ep 15

Prime Defenders:

- MORE SPEECH IMPEDIMENT HEADCANONS CAUSE I LOVE PROJECTING !! Dakota has a lisp/stutter, and Ashe has a general speech disruption. Ashe also has selective mutism ^__^

- To me, Summer and Cantrip had an enemies to lovers sideplot in early to mid season 2. I think Doug probably mentioned how when he was a villain, he worked with this girl Cantrip, who was Ruby’s sister, and Summer got curious and was like “damn. I wonder where she is now” and sought her out to try and talk to her. And literally their early dynamic was Jade going “kys” and Summer being like “i can fix her!!!”

- Xavier and Jade are mlm wlw hostility. Summer and Doug are mlm wlw hostility. Not reaaaally a headcanon but i had to say it.

- William’s family was very religious growing up. He also came from one of those small, Southern hunting towns and so he has the accent and everything (moomin infected my brain with this one <3).

- The PD season 1 finale took place a few days before Halloween, and the four of them had matching costumes planned out together but never did get to wear them.

- Also, to me, the greyscale arc takes place on or very close to Christmas.

- Dakota didn’t really celebrate his birthday nor Christmas for many years because of how lonely those holidays got for him— he didn’t really get a very good birthday/xmas after the events of the Resurgence. However, Tide didn’t know this and got him a birthday gift once, and Dakota ugly cried while hugging him.

- Shockwave was transmasc. He means the world to me. (Also why Tide is such a good hashtag ally)

- Dakota is very scared of spiders for no apparent reason. Whenever they show up he jumps up onto a table or onto Ashe’s back and tries to fight it off with a broom. Ashe is the one who has to take care of it.

- Gender straight up Isn’t Real on Fauna. Vyncent is literally genderless but nobody asked him when he got to Prime so he literally just went along with being he/him’d and didn’t really mind. (this one’s from arachnid lmao)

- Doug and Summer are queerplatonic that’s it that’s the post

- Ashe is a natural blonde, just like Mark, but bleaches their hair. Everyone was fucking shocked to find out about this

- Lightspeed and Wordsmith are also mlm/wlw hostility. real and canon to me

this is literally just the first ones off the top of my head i have so many but i’ve been writing this post for nearly an hour so i think i’ll cut it off here ^__^

cw: friends to lovers, relationships, you send a kiss to a wall, loser prismo 🤕, reader isn't shy, food and eating, icalled jake a starving dog as a metaphor.

"i need to get this guy a partner or sum."

said jake, when he left the time cube.

as you and jake headed to the treehouse (you left your bag there, you needed to grab it before BMO looked through your stuff)

"just set him up with someone?"

you'd suggest.

"the issue is, i have no one to".

he replied.

"hum.. i can do the job."

you nodded to yourself.

"you'll help me find someone?!"

the dog beamed happily, tail wagging.

"no."

"i can be his date."

??????

"DUUUDEE, you're into prismo?? i mean, uhh, yall match n stuff, but WHAT??"

you guys, the three of you, were good friends.

you'd usually spend time together, prismo would present his new pickle recipes to you and jake, to which you'd give your opinion on while jake absolutely ravaged all the remaining ones like a starving dog having it's first meal in days. (he'd just ate)

then you'd continue your day, playing card games, watching something on prismo's tv..

just three (or four, when finn joined in) friends hanging out.

"can you not shout it out loud for the world to hear??", you whisper-yell at Jake.

"yeah, yeah. im super secretive, you know it"

he isn't. you're sure he's gonna tell at least five people the moment you're away.

but u decide on trusting him, and letting him setup the date between you and prismo.

a few days pass, and before you know, prismo had sent you a note,

"hey! how 'bout we hang out tonite?",

how could you refuse him?

so you took a shower, dressed up, and went to the time cube.

as you got there, you couldn't help but notice the following scenery:

first, a table. in the middle of the cube, a table with scented candles, your favorite scent.

a chair, only one, prismo himself didn't need it.

the lights were dimly lit. weird.

"wishmaster?", you called out.

and there he was.

the figure of his curly hair looked slicked back, mostly on Jake's advice, and you were all for it.

i mean, yeah.. slicked back hair is ugly, but you like him. and he tried.

"hey. sit, wont you?"

you heard music in the background.

is that-

is it Jake's viola.

you bite back a scoff, impressed at how terrible-in-a-good-way he was at matchmaking.

"so, whachu been up to?', you asked prismo.

"work. tv.." he looked shy as he replied, chuckle at the end of his sentence as he was a bit ashamed.

you walked up closer, sat on the chair as you rested your elbow on the table, prismo's figure being across from you.

"that's nice."

talk goes, talk comes, and it's noticeable how much he complimented you during that afternoon.

from saying your outfit looks good to saying you look good.

and you'd smile. that pretty smile he just loved seeing on your perfect lips.

all he wanted was to take up a human form and just smooch.

and he'd ask you to be his, right then and there.

but he didn't even know how you felt.

and you knew how he felt, because the room reeked of your favorite scent, and it had such a romantic atmosphere, music playing in the background, and it'd remind you of those times where jake would partner up finn and some girl he'd fallen for.

which made you imagine prismo struggling to learn his advice, and it made you smile more.

would it be wrong to just.. wish for him to become your boyfriend?

you decide on ignoring that thought.

as your little date continued on, casual conversation as always, prismo became more and more nervous.

how he'd stutter and look to the side as he spoke..

"and what's with the new hairstyle?" you smiled as you asked.

"just.. changing things every once in a while. what'd you think?" the male almost died when you pointed it out, it being just another reason for how nervous he was, unsure if you'd even look his way in any kind of light, let alone thinking he looked good.

"its nice." you chuckle.

"so.. are you.. single?"

the way you looked at him, confused, made him want to immediately back away.

"yeah. you know that."

"right... haha.."

awkward.

it's awkward, and he doesn't know what to say.

"hm.. so... would you go on a date with me sometime?"

"sure."

and it's then that he knows how you feel about him, because you wouldn't put it so nicely if you didn't like him back.

then he'd get a little more confident, the conversation would flow better on.

by some time, you got straight to the point before he could - he was winding it so much

"you like me, right?", you said it jn a way you could change the direction quickly if he'd say no.

only if, because as soon as you say it, he goes

"of course i do!"

"you're amazing and who wouldn't be happy just to have you around.."

he was cute, but also sounded a bit desesperate as he spoke

"we could be together. if you want"

and honestly? he couldn't be happier to hear that.

Is Jake dead? Fionna and Cake ep.4

I think that the clear implication that the first four episodes of Fionna & Cake has given us is that yes, by this point in the story, Jake has died.

Our estimation based on Finn's current design is that it's been 15+ years since the finale.

Finn and TV talk about Jake's love for the Fionna and Cake books in the past tense. "He loved that series"

Bearded, depressed Prismo watches video of Finn and Jake, and Prismo tells Fionna and Cake that Ooo is special because it "had [his] favorite guy" (implied Jake)

F&C-era Finn has the Jake chest tattoo that was seen in Obsidian (which has been widely interpreted as an in memoriam gesture). But, importantly: Prismo's flashback at the beginning of F&C ep3 shows Jake and the chest tattoo coexisting simultaneously. So what gives? What do we know?

The circumstances of Jake's death are unknown--just, in Together Again it's confirmed that Jake's death preceded Finn's death, when Finn was an old, old man.

We're going to observe Finn's known designs in an attempt to narrow down at what point in the narrative Jake dies. Between Adventure Time and Obsidian? Between Obsidian and Fionna & Cake? After?

AT finale end credits montage: Finn and Jake welcome ships of humans to Ooo.

Obsidian: bearded but skinny Finn shows up to help out PB. The Jake tattoo is here.

Fionna & Cake flashback: medium beefiness, hair contained

Fionna & Cake modern age: buff boy fullbeard, full-Mertens mane.

And then there's Together Again, death-aged Finn.

With that established, let's return to what very little we know about Jake's death. The first scene of Together Again, features a monster-induced hallucination where Finn loses Jake "again". Curiously, Finn's design in this sequence is his familiar teenaged design from the main series.

So, with teenaged Finn losing Jake "again," should we conclude that Jake died while Finn was teenaged? No. It's a mistake to take Finn's appearance in this sequence at face value. For starters, Finn has both arms here. This is old Finn's nightmare, and in order for him to feel the pain of losing Jake again, it's required that he thinks he's experiencing a time in his life that he and Jake coexisted.

The "Not again" line is preceded by a quick flash to old Finn's actual face and surroundings. Old Finn is the one saying "not again", scrambling to hold onto the dream of hanging out with Jake in his youth. It doesn't mean that Finn was that age when Jake died. His arm is proof this sequence can't be taken at face value. Jake outlived Finn's arm. We know this.

Our next piece of evidence that Jake died before the events of Fionna & Cake is the existence of the Jake tattoo. But, again, Prismo's flashback at the beginning of F&C ep3 shows Jake and the tattoo coexisting.

Soooo........? Is the tattoo not actually a memorial tattoo? I'm pretty sure that events played on Prismo's screen are just straight up supposed to be taken at face value. The scenes are totally divorced from the linear timeline. In ep 4, when Prismo says Ooo is special because it "had" his favorite guy, we see this scene with Jake and teenaged Finn. This is clearly the past.

The evidence would seem to suggest that Jake dies somewhere before Obsidian. Finn got the memorial tattoo. He never appeared again. Everyone talks about him in the past tense.

But there's that one pesky scene on Prismo's screen where he's alive during Finn's 20-somethings, concurrent with the tattoo.

So I will posit a few theories to you:

No body, no death. Jake is alive. He's living in a different universe now and that's why Prismo says Ooo "had" his favorite guy. Now Jake lives in the Crystal Dimension with Lady Rainicorn but can return to Ooo from time to time. Remember: rainicorns are native to the Crystal Dimension. We've even pointed out previously a pretty undisputed fan theory that Crystal Dimension rainicorn pup descendants were featured in Graybles 1000+. It makes sense that Jake would seek a future there. And I don't think it's out of character that Finn would get that tattoo as a sign of devotion to Jake when Jake makes that big decision to set off on his own. Jake will die later.

Jake has become displaced from time and had an unspecified number of adventures in future eras. (i.e. Jake is extracted from the timeline before Obsidian and presumed dead, but then appears sporadically at other times throughout Finn's life, like in the scene shown on Prismo's screen). @uncivilizedelk posted a video analyzing the F&C intro and concludes that time shenanigans are probably incoming.

Theory 3 would be that Jake died via normal means after the scene on Prismo's screen but before the events of Fionna & Cake. And I'm sorry, but I don't buy it.

The whole thing screams red herrings and misdirections. I'd wager Jake appears alive at some point during this series in a large fan-pleaser moment.

Jake's death has been foreshadowed in this series for so long I just cannot imagine they'd let us off easy and have him die offscreen. We'll see it someday. Some way.

Finn could be like an enemies to lovers type of eal with finn thinking the reader is a little cute from the get go and feeling conflicted with hair feelings due to the reader's being a thief, eventually becoming friends and seeing different side of the reader (yk?? i feel like im yapping and not making sense 💀)

While for fern, the reader just feels bad for him because he can't do as well as being a hero and becomes friends with him, farm keeps it a secret from finn and they eventually become friends and see a different side (yappayapayappa) :)

Give em a cute hobby like a baking or crochet

Finn is a good hero though. so he ignores that you’re kinda pretty

(he thinks he might have a type of crush at this point (people who could probably kill him if they wanted to))

so one day (abt a month into your spree)

you decide to steal from Finn’s house (not knowing that it was the fucking Guy who’d been stopping you this whole time)

and you almost get away with it (stealing his hat. it was his hat you chose to steal). almost

“YOU!! YOU’RE the one that’s been stealing from all those peeps!!”

you run escape him (again) but he stops you in front of the door.

“Put it back.”

you reach an impasse.

now at YOUR end, you reeeeally dont want to admit it but this guy is a little cute (a little. you refuse to go further) with the hair he has happening.

(he’s more telling that to himself than to you.)

You help him out anyways, of course.

He brings out his sword to your neck, you sigh and roll your eyes.

“Fine..”

You give him back what you stole

The sword is still there

You dump out all of the other objects you stole out of your bag

The sword is still there

You sigh again, taking off your shoes and gloves and shaking out the other other objects you stole.

He begins to collect them into his own bag, before asking you,

“Did I do good?”

“What?”

“Was I a good hero?”

“Oh, um. Well, anyone else (because I am extremely brave and unafraid) would probably be squealing out of fear so, yeah.”

He crosses his arms, looking down to the side.

“I don’t want people to be afraid of me…”

You step back, observing him.

“Why d’you even want to be a hero so badly?”

“Because—because….because I’m supposed to be.”

Your expression softens.

“How about I be a bad influence on you, and you take a break from heroing for a bit?”

“How?”

“Y’ever learn how to crochet?”

What We Came Here To Do pt. 6

A/N: Happy new year everyone!! I am so bad at slow burns help. ALSO what do you guys think of the ark perspective??

Summary: Y/n finally wakes up

Warnings: A wee bit of fluff

Parings: Bellamy x reader (romantic) finn x reader (platonic) Wick x reader (platonic)

The 100 ep.3 pt2

You opened your eyes for the first time in what feels like forever. Your mind was groggy but the first thing you notice is a low light surrounding you. A small groan leaves your lips as you try to shift in your spot, your spine screaming at you to move.

“Woah Woah Woah hey slow down tiger” even if you couldn’t recognize the voice, the nickname was a dead giveaway.

“Finn?” You ask, voice hoarse from screaming. A hand goes to your hair, gently brushing it back.

“Yeah, it’s me. You had me worried there for a while.” He lets out a sad chuckle.

“I’m sorry.” You say grabbing his other hand.

“Hey it’s okay, it’s not like you wanted to get speared.” You both chuckle but yours is followed by another groan.

“You need to rest y/n” you sigh.

“I know, but I really just want some water and to sit up.” Finn looks at you wearily.

“I’ll get you some water but before you sit up I’m gonna need to talk to good ol’ doctor Clarke…she saved your life y/n like literally saved you I don't know what we would have done without her.” With that Finn gets up and leaves and you're left with your thoughts. You had never imagined Clarke would save your life, you always thought she resented you for having such a close relationship with her dad. Before you could fixate on it any longer Finn and Clarke walk into the dropship. Clarke is the first to speak.

“Hey, I'm so glad you are awake.” You give her a soft smile.

“Thank you so saving me Clarke.” Surprisingly she grabs your hand and gives it a squeeze.

“Anytime Y/n.” You return the squeeze.

“So doc, any chance I can sit up?” Clarke bites the inside of her cheek contemplating.

“Let me take a look at your wound first okay?” You nod and Clarke lifts your shirt. Her face reads shock. “Finn look.” He leans forward face matching Clarkes.

“What? Is it bad?” Panic starts to well in your chest. She shakes her head.

“No, the opposite actually, it's healing really well. I think you can sit up.” You let out a sigh of relief.

“Thank god my back is killing me.” They both chuckle as Finn and Clarke grab each one of your arms slowly sitting you up. You grunt a little from the soreness in your body but eventually let out a sigh. “This is nice.” You say laying your head on Finn's shoulder. Everyone is quiet for a few minutes. You are the first to speak. “I really miss Wick.” Finn and Clarke share a sad glance.

“I know, but if Monty can get those bracelets working then He’ll be down here in no time.” You nod.

“How is that going anyways?” Clarke rubs her face.

“Not well if I'm going to be honest.” You frown.

“Well if anyone can-” There's a knock at the door, you look up and see Bellamy standing in the doorway awkwardly.

“Hey heard you were awake.” Clarke and Finn look at each other before nodding and standing up.

“We’ll just give you two some privacy.” You look at them confused before you realize. Bellamy had visited you while you were unconscious and you had heard every word he said. Bellamy takes a seat next to you playing with his fingertips. You reach out and grab his hand.

“I heard everything ya know…felt everything.” Bellamy's cheeks heat up and he keeps his head down.

“You know out there, I can be anything. This strong leader that everyone needs right now but...when I saw you laying there almost dead I didn't think I could be. The moment I laid eyes on you I just knew something was different about you. I know your Kanes daughter but you don't carry yourself like the other privileged do.”

“Because I'm not. I worked hard for everything I got. My dad didn't hand me a damn thing. I fought my way into the mechanic's program to work next to Jake Griffin and Sinclair. “

“I admire that about you.”

“Why do you care so much about me Bellamy you barely even know me…I'm sorry that was rude. I don't mind I mean you are really attractive and have a good head on your shoulders, you clearly know how to survive. But why me?” You ramble on. Bellamy smiles looking at you.

“You think I'm attractive?” You reach out and push his shoulder.

“Yeah yeah don't let it go to your head.” He laces your fingers together.

“I want us to survive…together.” This time your cheeks heat us and you look down.

“Bellamy…”

“We can start slow, as teammates. As friends.” You smile and give his hand a squeeze

“Friends.”

The Ark

Wick was pacing in the hall outside the astronaut wing. There was something wrong and he wanted to get to the bottom of it. He hadnt heard from Y/n in over a week and no one was allowed to go to the prison. Finally, the door opens, and out walks Raven.

“Wick?” Raven looks surprised to see him they haven't really talked since Y/n was captured. You were the glue to the friendship of the four.

“Something is wrong.” Raven immediately knew what he was talking about but didn't know if she should tell WIck that everyone was sent to the ground including his best friend. So she decided to play dumb.

“What do you mean?” He sighs rubbing his face.

“Somethings going on they won't let me visit Y/n and there's talk that a ship was launched.”

Shit. Raven thought. She grabs his hand.

“Come on we can't talk here.” She pulls him to a secluded part of the wing.

“They were sent to earth. Y/n included to see if it's survivable but-”

“What?!” All forms of panic set in.

“But! Abby Griffin is going to send me there so we can get them in contact with the ark so we all can come down.”

“I'm coming with.” Raven shakes her head. “No, you need to stay here.” “Raven she is all I have. My everything is on earth and I need to be down there with her.” ravens heart breaks for Wick.

“Fine but we need to move fast.”

At the start of ep 3, when Sean interacts with some books in Daniel's room he curses about the fact that he is too old for this. Daniel actually loves when it's Sean who read it, even if he still likes when Esteban read books he adores it bcuz his big bro gave him some attention.

Sean knows them by heart because well Esteban read the same books to him before. That's why when they end up running from home Sean could still tell the stories to Daniel when he have trouble sleeping.

Lyla and Sean were the weird kids.

It's sound bad ok but fck it let me find comfort. Lyla was the undertale, ddlc kid when Sean was fnaf, baldi kid. They dyed their hair together in middle school after a LONG LOONG DAY to convince Lyla's mom. They were always together and they actually find their others friends at the skate park.

Finn have a broken nose.

He have a crooked nose in the game and i hc that when he was younger he broke his nose when playing with his brothers. They told his father but he just didn't care so he end up with a broken nose, he often breaths through his mouth bcuz of that.

Daniel was terrified of Slender Man

Sean kept making jokes about it, pretending he saw him. It kept going before that day when Daniel cried in front of their father during a week-end at the forest because he was sure he saw Slander Man. Daniel is still a lil scared of going alone into a forest.

Jacob and Sean still talks

Not often they talk about how their sibling are doing or futile things. I don't have much to say, I just like them they are chill asf. Sean always listened when Jacob talks cuz no one hears him with his soft voice.

Daniel believes in crystal power.

When they were in Arizona with Karen, he always asks why she had a lot of stones so she explains and before they left she buy one for Daniel. <3 He still has it, he always think about his mother during the full moon.

Are you named after anyone? I've heard this story a buncha times so I'm pretty sure my mom got my birth name from a singer. She heard it on tv and liked it a lot, back then it wasn't a very common name in my country. My names as of now are 50/50, Tom didn't come from anyone but Teddie was 100% something I picked up from Teddie p4, hahah.

When was the last time you cried? Last Sunday when I rewatched ep 11 of Bucchigiri. especially during the part where Zabu got the absolute shit beaten out of him. Finn came home right after that and doesn't understand that one of the big points of media is to reach you emotionally, so he thought it was weird that I was crying.

Do you have kids? Nah, but I'd like to some day, if fate allows it.

Do you use sarcasm a lot? Not nearly as much as I used to, because most of my friends are autistic and don't get it most of the time, so I just end up upsetting them whenever I do use it. Being sincere is much more fun anyways.

What sports do you play? None, but I would love to swim or ice skate (or, hell, do some skiing). Neither are really possible for me atm, unfortunately (do you have any idea how expensive skiing is btw. it's crazy). When I was a kid I did gymnastics and streetdance, I also played tennis briefly as a teen, but had to quit due to a lack of people in my age group playing at that club.

What’s the first thing you notice about people? I usually take note of how someone dresses and does their hair. Ever notice how dull most people's clothes are? I like seeing styles that stand out.

What’s your eye colour? Brown, it's not a particularly dark shade, but I wouldn't call it hazel (my dad has hazel eyes though).

Scary movies or happy endings? This ones a little... vague? But I guess if I had to choose... I wouldn't. I don't care about genre or what type of emotional impact it has, as long as it's coherent and entertaining in its own right. (That doesn't mean I don't care about quality btw. I literally just. watch anything and judge it for what it is.)

Any special talents? I'm a boss at packing in groceries quickly and efficiently. Not a talent that everyone possesses, I've learned (sorry Minke <3).

Where were you born? Netherlands babeyyy ✌ North-Holland to be a bit more precise. I lived next to a dyke (not that kind) so I got the real under-sea-level experience. I still live around the area but not in my hometown anymore.

What are your hobbies? Drawing, (writing?), translation and the nuances that come with it, watching movies, tv shows, animes, cartoons, playing video games, reading books, comics and manga. (and then talking about cinematography, parallels, themes, symbolism and the likes) I also collect soda cans (+ the occasional glass bottle), candy packaging, and anime figurines + other merch.

Do you have any pets? My little baby Jody (dog) who I've had since I was 7 years old! She's about to have her sweet 16 on the 23rd (that's in 2 weeks!) she's getting blind and deaf as hell but she's still lively and sweet as ever <3 And my sweet Tiger of course, who's of undetermined age (around 8/9 the vet said) and currently living with my good friend Minke and their 2 other cats (he does not like them) and dog (he is ok with her). He's not with me rn because my mom's bf is allergic, unfortunately.

How tall are you? 1 meter 59. that single centimeter haunts me. I would've also preferred an additional 10 as well.

Favourite subject in school? Art history used to my favourite in high school, and when I was in film school for a brief period I loved film history. I just love anything pertaining to the arts and it's history that involves analysing and comparing it to other time periods, really.

Dream job? I wanna be someone's househusband and make a buncha weird art on the side. Not kidding btw. But if I had to choose a more conventional dream job... it had to be something in the creative or design industry, otherwise I'll probably die of unhappiness.

didnt all fit in last post so here's part 2 of ep. 27.

CHOICE: Have you ever been in love?

MC: Have you ever fallen in love, Johnny?

JOHNNY: I’m not sure, y’know. Maybe, maybe not.

JOHNNY: I think I’ve been close, but never quite got there.

JOHNNY: I’d definitely like to fall in love though.

JOHNNY: Hopefully this is the place where it will finally happen.

Johnny takes another bite from the croissant.

JOHNNY: Then, a second later, her husband appears beside her and asks me to show them to their table.

JOHNNY: Not only had I got the wrong girl, but now they think I’m the waiter!

MC: Oh no, that’s awkward.

JOHNNY: I figured the best way out of it was to play along.

JOHNNY: So, I showed them to an empty table and passed them some menus.

MC: Quick thinking, Johnny.

JOHNNY: Then I dashed out of the restaurant before things got even more awkward.

MC: What about your date?

JOHNNY: I told her I couldn’t make it and we arranged for another time instead.

JOHNNY: It worked out ok in the end.

JOHNNY: So, what’s your next question?

CHOICE: What is the wildest place you’ve ever had sex?

MC: Tell me about a wild place where you’ve had sex.

JOHNNY: That’s a naughty question. Let me think for a second.

JOHNNY: Ah, I’ve got it. I was performing in London once, a little theatre near Camden.

JOHNNY: I met a local girl on a dating app. And she came to see the show.

JOHNNY: Anyway, after the show we started getting flirty and frisky backstage.

JOHNNY: Things were getting hot and heavy and clothes were falling away as they do.

MC: Sounds like a very honourable thing to do.

JOHNNY: Yeah, and it would just be a great excuse to travel the world, too!

JOHNNY: And I could always use a bit of company on my travels!

MC: I’ll keep that in mind.

JOHNNY: So, what’s your next question?

CHOICE: What is your ultimate fantasy?

MC: Tell me about your ultimate fantasy.

JOHNNY: Fantasies? There’s a few naughty things that I’d like to try.

JOHNNY: I think that the main one would be to spend a little bit of time with a

JOHNNY: Maybe it’s the theatricality of it all, but yeah, it looks like a lot of fun.

JOHNNY: That was fast. I’m not sure Finn and his egg timer can be trusted.

PETE: Don’t blame the timer, Johnny, it’s my turn to chat with MC now.

PETE: Time for you to move on.

JOHNNY: Thanks for the date, MC. I hope I didn’t talk too much, ha!

PETE: So, let’s get straight to the point, MC. Ask me anything.

CHOICE: How many people have you slept with?

MC: So, Pete, how many notches have you got in your bedpost?

PETE: Ha, I’m not sure a bedpost is long enough for the notches I’ve made.

Pete looks over at Arlo as she chats with Nicolas.

Pete looks over at Arlo.

PETE: Arlo was talking about how she would have loved me in her bed last night.

MC: Was my bed not good enough for you, Pete?

GABI: Believe it or not, I’ve actually had more awkward dates than this.

MC:Really? I don’t see how things could be more awkward than this.

GABI: Things don’t have to be awkward though. We can be friendly.

MC: Yeah, I think that’s probably a good idea.

i’m 80% sure ollie is captain rose’s kid. like captain rose HAS to be ollie’s dad. it would be so cool, and, it mostly makes sense, especially after episode 82.

now, ok, Ollie’s like 12, and it’s only been ~10 years since captain rose announced his retirement to the crew (and proceeded to fall into the hole in the sea). But it’s safe to assume it took a while between his engagement/retirement plans and when he was actually heading home. bc of all the stuff at the start of episode 82, we now know he had to get approval from the other pirate lords before he could even consider it, AND he had to go on “one last adventure” (ep 82 ~0:16:00) with his crew. the hole in the sea happened after they’d finished their adventure (ep 82 0:17:23), so they’d already taken the time to like,, do it. i feel like in all it took at least a few months, also because the timeline is just a little disjointed i think it’s ok to say that ollie falls within that age range of being captain rose’s son. and wouldn't it just be so fitting? that destiny has brought them all together in this way? the captain that brought Arlin, Finn, and Drey together; their respective decedents raising rose’s legacy? idk the only other evidence is that rose’s lover had brown hair and also ollie doesn't have a father figure. i think it would be so cool and it makes sense.

Kurt Glee Rewatch: Home

Burt and Carol are such a wholesome couple. Prob the healthiest on the show lol.

These two are iconic. I also love how Kurt adds the armband bc even in a uniform, he needs to personalize it somehow.

He’s so supportive of Mercedes here... sadly not as much rest of the ep.

But also his expression at being told he has hips like a pear... awe. He’s so tiny though.

Also, seems like ages since the Finn crush was a plot. And wow, Kurt going strong.

Can I just say how happy I am they’ve started styling his hair? The bangs were cute, but like. This looks much better.

And yikes, Kurt... Mercedes is doing the right thing here, she’s having a very healthy lunch! And Kurt took the criticism so seriously like omg can he please eat real food. I get that he’s happy to not be bullied for once but like. Babe pls.

All Kurtcedes fights are in the cafeteria, apparently.

“Act as translator” Kurt, I thought you were doing well in your classes.

I love how protective he is of Burt. He really stepped into the caretaker role and even when their relationship was more strained, they both love each other and protect each other and I love it.

“Fate brought them together” gee Kurt, when did you change your name. I find it hilarious that this was all his scheme but it resulted in Burt and Carol being so besotted with each other. Who knew they could bond beyond just having dead spouses?

I am curious wtf Kurt’s plan was here. Like, did he think he’d get to spend more time with Finn but then Burt and Carol would break up? Was he hoping they’d get married?? This is such dumb teen boy logic. And I’m really not having the whole ‘predatory gay’ stereotype bc we don’t need to see that

He is very intense here. Like Kurt. Finn is clearly not comfortable here. and omg when he refers to Burt and Carol as ‘Mom and Dad’ like sweetie. No.

Again, Kurt is way too much here but omg the way he looks at Finn and then Puck mouths ‘Are you gay’ and I can’t stop laughing.

But I do like how he sings the song, much smoother than Defying Gravity. ANd Mercedes is smiling at him and Brittana cuddle bc they like the song too, v sweet.

Not my fav Kurt song? But it’s nice. And I do like Kurt’s singing better than Finn’s. I find in general Finn does well at the upbeat/rock songs, but not a fan of the more ballad style.

Kurt’s crying at the end, he’s legit so in love. It’s also probably hard that he has just... no one to really talk to about it? We never see him discuss it with anyone. His dad is not ready for that kind of talk. And with the girls him being gay is fun for them bc he can talk about fashion etc, but lowkey him being gay is rarely about him liking boys? I mean, everyone knew bc of his clothes etc, he has never shown interest in an actual boy before. Him having feelings might break the illusion of the girls seeing him more as an accessory.

I do wish he could talk about it with Mercedes though. She’d be a good voice of reason, and him having some sort of outlet could be helpful so he might be less intense around Finn.

I do appreciate that as soon as Finn is a threat to his dad, crush is on the backburner bc *Danger Danger Danger*

And you know it’s not intended as an insult, but how Burt brushes Kurt off and is so excited to talk sports. And you can see it on Carol’s face, that she spots it too and has sympathy for Kurt, while also happy for finn to have a fatherly presence. Ugh, this whole family dynamic, all 4 of them, best writing in the show.

Every Kurt and Burt scene is just a masterpiece. Kurt being passive aggressive, but Burt will call him out, try to talk it out.

And I love how you can see here that Burt is still in his beginning phases. ugh when he says “guy talk” and Kurt is just “I’m a guy” my heartt. Bc he is a guy but he’s a different type of guy and bc of that everyone treats him differently and just.

Burt is trying so hard, but he still makes these mistakes. And even though he accepts his son, he still has that ‘let’s just each do our own thing’ mentality.

But I am glad he does call Kurt out, asks why he fixed him out with Carol. Bc Kurt was being selfish about it, setting them up to get close to Finn, and now backtracking bc he feels like he’s losing his dad.

Bc his dad always comes first and just. Kurt s1 is so flawed bc he’s such an angsty/dumb teen and it makes him such a real character and fascinating to watch. Plus, his heart stays int he right place

Crush aside, s1 had some of the best Finn and Kurt interactions. I love how Finn knew right away that Kurt was hurt by Finn bonding with Burt. And Kurt isn’t even offended here by Finn not wanting to live with him bc right now his dad is his priority.

I’m so glad the whole ‘let’s break up our parents’ didn’t turn into a drawn out scheme. They quickly see how happy their parents are and accept that they’re together.

Bc different eps focus on different characters, I like how a lot of plots are wrapped up within the ep. The show has character arcs etc throughout, but I find I’m not a fan of certain plotlines going on for way too long. Like the fake baby, or Puck being the father, ugh or the student election. Those all had me like ‘just get on with it’ whereas character arcs, like kurt and his dad, the mercedes/troubletones, etc are much more interesting.

Aww I love them. And Kurt immediately says “I was wrong” and owns up to his mistake, yay.

So glad Mercedes got another song, but oof I want more of both of them performing with the cheerios! Only a few eps left of them on the team... And!! Apparently they cut a song from the ep?? Kurtcedes and the Cheerios were supposed to do Fergalicious (there are some pics of behind the scenes) and the fact that we missed out on that actively angers me.

K but first off, they’re at Finn’s house? Why was Kurt there? Was he visiting Carol? Did he just walk by?? I need answers bc it’s lowkey creepy lol

At least Finn has learned how Burt is legit the best dad and is happy to hang with him. And it’s well done, how Finn’s part is pretty wrapped up, but there’s still Kurt on the outside, bc it’s not all perfect yet.

I’ll say it every time. The best Glee writing went to this family dynamic. Mainly Burt and Kurt, but really the 4 of them together. I love it.

Isekai Anime Dreams

Author's note: This may be a Bad Idea. But… when your usually non-visual brain hits you with visuals, what the heck. I'm open to other music suggestions but currently the "placeholder" music in my head for this is I Want My Tears Back, by Nightwish.

Open with: A passenger airplane flying through a thunderstorm.

Lightning flickers as the view closes in on the faces of passengers; many nationalities, tired business travelers, regular people. Focus on an older blond man with graying hair (Jason Finn) reading a history of Korea. In the background across the aisle is a redheaded teenager (Mary Hartman) with her parents.

Lightning flash! The airplane lurches right, as gigantic black talons punch through the hull. People scream as chaos breaks loose in the cabin; oxygen masks, falling luggage, people tossed across the cabin. Jason grabs a stewardess’ hand, holds a moment - then she’s torn away, as the rolling beverage cart takes him out from behind. Cut to the airplane angling through the sky, falling, something large and lost in darkness atop it; a hint of horns, a flash of teeth, the shadow of massive membraned wings.

Silhouette of bodies falling through dark water. As they sink, the background colors fade from dark to red, bloody water. Air bubbles up, as Jason struggles up through the water, hanging onto Mary, hand reaching desperately upward....

A dark-robed arm plunges into the water from above. A strong hand reaches down, and pulls.

The pair surface and clamber to a wrecked wooden hull... in the middle of a violent fight, men in hanbok and tiger-hunter’s garb clashing with shark-toothed pirates. Their rescuer (Lee Cheong) whirls away, his geom (Korean sword) blocking a pirate’s dao (Chinese saber), as a sky-haired mage (Chae) in midnight-blue hanfu slashes her jian (Chinese straight sword) to create a pentagram portal for their escape-

Cut to a clip of each character doing What They Do Best. Each is a day/night shot.

A bookseller in daylight, hair bound back in a simple topknot, climbing the streets with a pack of books. By night a midnight-robed mage with guan, star-sword glowing against a samdugumi, a distorted regenerating fox-monster. (Chae.)

A lady healer in the infirmary in traditional hanbok, by night a silk-shirted mermaid leaping from the waves, throwing needles against a six-faced corrupted monster that used to be a dolphin. (Jue Chin-Sun.)

A tall, charming rogue in common cotton clothes in a tavern brawl by day, by night a cool sniper facing a demon tiger with matchlock, ropes - and pit trap opening dramatically as the tiger charges. (Kwan Ha-Nuel.)

A sunset shot, jiangshi surrounding a tall scholar in robes with earrings of glittering gold and silken tassels, drawing his sword and taking off dark glasses as his eyes glow red. (Lee Cheong.)

Followed by a short sequence of Jason shooting. Daylight, Jason is out at a target range fitting his arrow onto the string with slightly shaking hands. The camera pulls away as the scene turns to sunset, showing him in full draw, pale-faced but calm - then the arrow released. Sky goes to night, with the focus on the arrowhead that bursts into blue flames in flight - the whole time-lapse happening in one arrow shot.

Fade to a dawn shot of the demon-callers looking down on the city of Hanyang (modern times Seoul); Lee Cheong turns to beckon Jason with bow and Mary (in hanbok with ghost-hawk) to join them.

Shadows rise, an obvious and multi-monstered demon horde... Dramatic pose, with Lee Cheong displaying qilin badge. Roll ep!

The view from the fortress wall, of Seoul below? That's the picture in my head, of where the demon-hunters are looking....

Also note the qilin was not just the “eastern unicorn”, but in nations that had Confucian traditions it was used as a symbol by trustworthy soldiers and wise judges; the implication being that the bearer, like the qilin, would be harmless to the innocent, yet destroy evil.
