I was re-reading next of kin and all of a sudden I don't know how or why I had this urge to read something sakura with an alpha/omega dynamic and to my surprise there were none?? except the one shots. Then I searched up if there are any new innocent sakura fics but nooo Like umm what should I do now it's not like I can write it myself I don't have the talent😭 So here I am to ask if u have any fic recommendations regarding this Cause it may be my guillty pleasure readng innocent/naive sakura😣

Totally agree that ABO somehow missed the Naruto fandom entirely, lol. I am aware of only one: Heart Under a Blade by fineillsignup. It starts as genfic and a kind of cultural exploration/meditation on omegaverse dynamics (I really do enjoy the sociological approach). I haven’t finished yet due to Life and Other Interruptions, but you may want to give it go! Tagged endgame KakaSaku.

Thanks to the heathens who were thirsting for bisnonno!Madara throughout NoK (and @sarcastic-mommy and @kendochick-moor‘s bad influences), I’m also 70k into an BDSM-ish AU MadaSaku. Sakura is a smart graduate student studying to be sex therapist, but there are *some* things she doesn’t personally know much about at all...until Madara buys her at a charity auction, oops.
Can’t resist a little teaser:
The place was packed by now, so close to the start of the auction. The wild elbows of half-drunk patrons threatened to nail her in the face, and she was short enough that actual ducking was occasionally required. Patiently waiting her turn was getting her no closer to the bar, and Sakura had to be more aggressive about it.
Unfortunately, even once she finally reached the bar, the bartender didn’t seem to see her. Maybe he could smell the financial desperation on her—who knew—but for whatever reason he served half a dozen people who arrived after her while she futilely tried to catch his eye.
A tall man stepped up right beside her and immediately got the bartender’s attention with a flick of his wrist, infuriating her. “A whiskey, neat,” he ordered in a low voice.
She waved incredulously at the bartender, whose eyes still somehow didn’t inadvertently flicker to her though they were on the person literally beside her, unable to understand how she was this invisible—
Then a polite hand on her shoulder almost made her jump out of her skin.
She looked up—

—into the eyes of the very tall stranger beside her. “And what are you having?”
She flushed, swallowing. He was older, but good-looking, with wild dark hair and intense, lamp-like eyes. Like spotlights. He must have noticed her struggles. “I—thank you, that’s very kind, but I can—”
“What are you drinking?” he repeated softly.
Now thoroughly embarrassed, she managed to eek out, “Wine, please. Thank you.”
“Red?”
“Yes, how did you—?”
A half-smile that was more of a patronizing smirk appeared. “Lip stains.”
Sakura reached up to cover her mouth with her hand, vaguely horrified.
The man turned to the bartender and gestured toward a specific vintage, tossing cash on the counter. He handed her glass to her, still wearing that same vaguely demeaning expression. “Enjoy.”
Through her shock, Sakura felt her face melt into a glare. The stranger noted her expression and the tightness of her grip on the stem of the glass with attention, and perhaps a kind of bizarre satisfaction. Then he sauntered off without even giving her a chance to offer to reimburse him.

Confusion in determining Chinese Dialect/Pronunciation of Character’s Name
When I googled "why native english writers often mistakenly mixed chinese dialect/pronunciation in naming characters?" The results of the search instead hilariously switched the subject.
Actually, I was curious about the further discussion regarding the similar topic from this video from Accented Cinema at minute 8:43

For example, having a character named “Fai” in a fanfic from TGCF fandom. FYI, TGCF is a danmei novel originally written in Mandarin by MXTX.
I don't know where the fanfic author got the name "Fai" for their OC, the info I got from googling is this:
According to google, “Fai” is a Chinese boys name meaning 'growth' or 'beginning'.
Then I got like two hanzi which are pronounced as “Fai”, 「 非 」 and 「 辉 」.
I always use wiktionary.org to check how every hanzi and kanji are pronounced in various dialects (I suggest that we as the writers to use that/or other better alternative in the future), and here’s the information regarding “Fai”:
In Mandarin, this 「 非 」 should have been pronounced as “ Fēi ”.
As a note, 「 輝 」 is a traditional form of 「 辉 」, and in Mandarin, this 「 辉 」 should have been pronounced as “Huī”. The writer accidentally mixed the Cantonese pronunciation into a fandom which its character names are mainly pronounced in Mandarin.
Another case is the name "Kuo" (still in TGCF settings):
The top result from Google said that “Kuo” is the transliteration of several different Chinese surnames, its meaning varies depending on how it is spelled in Chinese, and which dialect it is pronounced in.
in Mandarin, this 「 郭 」 should have been more accurately pronounced as “Guō”.
Actually it's nothing serious for me (other than just me being nitpicky), and if what the writers mean is to show the diversity of their characters in ethnicity/origin (will be relevant to their story), then that's fine.
Example:
Fei Yi was born in Beijing, but lived in Hong Kong long enough for him to know Leung Siufan and form a friendship that continues till these days.
But if that’s not the case, I think we’ll better pay more attention to this in the future.
Remember that Chinese language is not just “chang ching chong” noises, like my country, they also have many ethnicities and dialects. They have more diversity than what mainstream popular culture generally portrays.
I realize that most native English are likely still heavily influenced by Cantonese pronunciation regarding Chinese language, considering the history of Hong Kong which is often used as a main reference for popular culture in writing China (it was established as a colony of the British Empire after the Qing Empire ceded Hong Kong Island in 1841-1842).
My suggestion is, if you are still new to Chinese, when creating OC/character names, use the keyword "List of Mandarin Baby Names" instead of "List of Chinese Baby Names" if your universe settings mainly use Mandarin Pronunciation. Or if your story takes place in Hong Kong, use keyword “List of Cantonese Baby Names” for your character’s name.
Or pick any Chinese Name, get its hanzi, then check it on wiktionary.org to pick which pronunciation you like to use.
So that in the future, there will be no more “Fa Mulan” (Hua Mulan or Fa Muklan!?), and “Xu Shangchi” / Xú Shàngqì (徐尚氣) with his sister “Xú Xiàlíng” / Hsü Hsialing (徐夏靈).

hi
help me. i’m writing a story and i just can’t find the piece of canon knowledge/lore i’m looking for, so hopefully one of you has more of a brain than me and can give me the answer i need
is there anywhere in canon (preferably manga, but if you only have anime that’s ok) where we’re shown a jutsu that allows you to shapeshift and take someone else’s appearance, a complete copy with voice and all? if yes, does that include someone’s techniques + chakra stores or do you keep your own repertoire of jutsus and general power level?
i know there’s the team gai fight but it’s again copies of themselves, and i have the vague memory of that scene where sakura kills a false neji but i think that might just be anime filler lore and not the actual canon storyline from the manga? might be wrong tho
and if such a technique exists, does it have a name? does it follow rules? better yet, do you have a link to the moment in canon or a wiki page? anyway any and all piece of knowledge from any of you would be so welcome

Hello, I'm sending this to warn you about a potential harasser. I'm sure you know of Dastaan Go, a Sakura hater who used to harass fanfiction writers some years back. Well, I think they have come back under the name of Dushman-e-jaan. I've already seen them write hateful things about a Madasaku FF writer here,

Thanks for the head’s up. I did read the links and it does seem rather hatefully targeting writers that they take issue with. I went to block only to see they are already blocked. Lol I have not consistently used tumblr in quite some time so I have not added anyone to my blocklist in quite some time. Makes me wonder if I had dealings with this person before. At one point I also received lots of hateful anons that had the same tone over my fanfics and did block whoever was on anon. There is no telling. Anyway, if anyone else is a fic writer or just doesn’t want to see the content this person makes, feel free to take this as your sign to block as well.

Togakushi (middle) is the sibling born after Madara and is injured badly when Ei is twelve. He was declared MIA five years before Konoha was founded.
Kuro (right) was killed in the same attack that injured Togakushi. He was between Togakushi and Izuna, age-wise.

@fineillsignup Oh no no no no no xD first of all thank you! But please wait until the end. I didn’t want to show too much of my thinking process before I finish the story but I really didn’t plan to put Orochimaru in this heirloom comic at all because I didn’t want to deal with all the toxic things which are happening in Boruto(yes Orochimaru and the new gen kids who are still wielding the weapons) . Usually, I would just write about all noncanon materials for a subplot like this.I had this idea about putting the rogue ninjas in but my braincell died during past few weeks and I stopped thinking about it and grab this mess in. And now…I need to clean up.
So yeah, in my story the elders (homura and koharu) were still in the process of “making decision” of letting orochimaru go. And Yamato and Kakashi (the hokage) were still trying to reject this whole idea.(I should have written it down more and explain it clearly on that part) I am revolving this story with the theme about “past mistakes”, “the egocentric adults” and “immorality”.So I am letting the characters know about this konoha village and ‘will of fire” which they believe in aren’t what they believe to be. I am letting them recognize about the faults and yes Changing it!
Really,I don’t want to make Yamato say this kind of motivational words and sink them in
So yeah! Yamato won’t give up! There is no way he(and kakashi) is letting Orochimaru out! spoiler alert! Mitsuki still exists but he is born from an egg instead from the lab

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA there are just some things you can’t stress enough in English so you have to, especially because they are memes references (in spanish) or Chilean slang and I think some of them should be universal so I’m gonna make that my personal goal, my legacy on earth.
