Filly Funtasia & My Little Pony: boy characters count

So, this is on my mind for a few hours today (and practically a few months in total): both cartoon franchises for girls feature some boy horses, but which has more?

Filly Funtasia (2013+ - today) is firstly based on classic Filly franchise that had a ton of characters, including a variety of boy characters. Fathers, brothers, crushes, teachers, many of them. Not many of them were Special or rulers after Princess, but still (except Magic, Roy, etc.). (https://filly.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Characters, https://velvettoy.ru/?page_id=365). Funtasia show takes this legacy and features some bois. For example, Cedric the Royale inventor, Will the silly fairy are mains in Filly Five. Then there are Star filly Zack (Skylia's prince), Fabian the royale scientist, Zam the trickster elf, Johan the unicorn, etc. - who are appearing from time to time.

What about My Little Pony? Traditionally, MLP had less boys than girls. Lucky, the first stallion, was a 'rare' gift to subscribers of MLP mall order back in 1980s (http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/Baby_Lucky), then Brothers were introduced (also in the cartoon). Then of course, came Tales, with a few boys including some who could be seen as 'mains', such as Teddy (a bully stereotype). G3-3.5 was an almost all girls cast - if not all girls cast, G4 introduced many boys (not without stereotypes, but same goes for Filly Funtasia)... As for G5? They made some big thing and added Hitch Trailblazer as main main main (even if we know that he's not on most merchandise - but there's significant amount right now still), later they also added Comet - but he's not really as highlighted as the new Mane 6 even today, right? There is Sprout, he still appears (in Make Your Mark) - on background. For now they're just not adding him much for some reason (but Tell Your Tale needing variety and being free from MYM's ties might call for him and others, someday).

So it's safe to say, for now, Filly Funtasia features more boys

Yeah, I think they definitely fall in that wheelhouse as I looked for them on eBay and discovered they have a bunch of different lines like Galupy Unicorns, Galupy Fairies, etc.

Probably Filly fakies but imo they're a lot cuter ha ha!

Also I found some on eBay Germany and I believe Simba (the Filly company) is also from Germany.

Filly Butterfly: Rainbow edition, Europe (Ukraine)

Egmont's Filly Magazine in Germany was releasing Rainbow Butterfly toys in late 2022. Now, besides Glitter Butterfly the same magazine covered, Rainbow Butterfly also comes to Europe, starting with Ukraine!

We have another round of some new characters (who are, yet again, recolours of Butterflys from 2014), their names are completely new and unique: Lulu (Tia's recolour), Pia (Alyssa's recolour), Nicki (Bea's recolour?), Ninel (Nina's recolour and names are similar), Valerie (Toby's recolour), Colette (Rhett's recolour), Amara (Jack's recolour? even Water group's mark is intact, which shouldn't be the case for Heart group...), Heidi (Lotus' recolour), Catriona (Freya's recolour).

Scarlet of course is kept, she's special character. Emma from Friendship Group and Sara from Flower Group are also remaining Butterflys from ~2014+ collection(s).

Also yes, Dracco does just 'remakes' of old characters with additional design elements now, at least since last Blue Ocean magazines in ~2021. Though for European 2023+ editions they at least change colours lol. I get it, it's hard to be a small toy company with financial struggles. At least they continue still~

As for the text of 2023+ flyer, it reads
