The wonderful @quordleona03 tagged me!
He is accustomed to this, he supposes: appearing inept, naive, or airheaded just to avoid appearing too sharp and hinting at his true nature.

We are just going to appreciate this score I found at #lanebryant !! I has binder vibes and feels! My experience at my local #lanebryant wasn’t the greatest yesterday and #transphobic af. I was happy to find what I needed and get out of there! I find #binding a hassle and just don’t do it. Every human has breasts. #topsurgery is a goal of mine and for now, I try to be as comfortable as possible. Which #lanebryant makes comfy bras to me! So yeah! I would like a new binder or two! #nonbinaryproblems #nonbinaryfashion #transmac #femmeboy #femmeboyant #nonbinarypositivity #fatnonbinarybody (at Willow Glen, San Jose, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ca-EZswr7Z5/?utm_medium=tumblr

if you can’t make your own testosterone, storebought is fine
I’ve been sticking myself with sharp things for a decade! 🍰 🎉
it’s been an absolute hell of a journey, and thank you for coming along with me. Some of you have been here since the beginning, when this tumblr was a mess and I was just starting to figure out what the hell my gender was doing.
Walk with me down memory lane...
Age 10, I think? I peaked early :p
photo taken by @femmeboyant, fall 2008. I was trying so SO SO HARD to make this work.
2010, taken a couple days after I got my Very First Lesbian Haircut!
Dressed as David Bowie for my college’s annual drag ball, where I entered and won the genderfuck category that year. It was my first time making the step of what I then thought of as crossdressing, and it’s one of the most transcendentally happy memories of my life.
I don’t actually have a “first day of T” photo, but this was taken about a week before!
About 1.5 years on T, at a work event.
July 2014, shortly after taking off my top surgery bandages for the first time!
August 2015 - bedhead and a tremendously unflattering beard situation. I mostly wanted to prove to myself that I could.
2016. I never stopped being femme, I just got really happy in my body!
2017 - My first trip to the coast with my (now) wife!
Getting married in January, 2019!!!!!!!
And here’s a photo of me just now, with my dog in the background for interest <3

@femmeboyantdesigns is for queers, pervs, weirdos and pals. Created by a genderqueer, spoonie femme of colour, Femmeboyant Designs has something to say. From leather flogger earrings, to collar chains, their designs are celebration and armor. Hand crafted with crystals and love.

Advice: Making it through a tropical cyclone
Heyyyyy, so I made it back to American Samoa only for us to get a warning that we are probably getting a not-remotely-fucking-around storm over the course of the next 3-4 days. There are reportedly 7 FEMA agents on the way, which is never a good sign. It’s almost oppressively calm winds now, with clouds low and intense. You can feel the pressure building.
Currently the national weather service is showing winds of 55 knots tomorrow night/Monday, and I don’t know enough to tell if this is extraordinary or not:
Tutuila-Aunuu-Manua-Swains Island-
849 AM SST Sat Feb 15 2020
...A Gale Warning is in effect...
.REST OF TODAY...Northeast winds 20 to 35 kts with higher gusts.
Seas building 9 to 12 ft. Frequent showers with a slight chance of
thunderstorms. Heavy rainfall.
.TONIGHT AND SUNDAY...Northeast winds 25 to 35 kts with higher
gusts becoming northwest Sunday. Seas building to 13 to 15 ft.
Frequent showers with a chance of thunderstorms. Heavy rainfall.
.SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY...Northwest winds 45 to 55 kts, with
higher gusts becoming west Monday afternoon. Seas building to 18
to 20 ft. Frequent showers and thunderstorms. Heavy rainfall.
.MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY...Northwest winds 20 to 25 kts, with
higher gusts. Seas 18 to 20 ft. Frequent showers with a slight
chance of thunderstorms.
.TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY...Southwest winds 15 to 20 kts. Seas
subsiding to 15 to 18 ft. Numerous showers becoming scattered
Wednesday.
Lexie and I have a lot of non-spoiling food, water, flashlights, power banks, and enough of our regular daily meds to last us. Someone told us to fill our bathtub with water for washing. What else do we do to prepare? @dreamwaffles, I know you said we should consider plywood on our windows but since we rent shitty government housing I don’t think we are allowed to do that. I’m scared of structural shit happening. We’re on the bottom floor of a two story duplex, so even if the roof gets fucked up and it leaks through our ceiling we don’t actually have access to the upper floor to do anything. I’m getting really spooked.
If everything goes to hell, the entirety of our plan is to make it up the road and try to spend a couple nights in the one hotel on this side of the island because it’s sturdy and more inland. We’re not on the beach itself but we are less than 10 dozen yards from the ocean. Sooooooo...
@dreamwaffles, @femmeboyant, @satedghost, @mirrorscape, anyone else who may have lived through tropical storms... help me out! What did you wish you knew before riding one out? What should we do?

femmeboyant replied to your post: i think i had the wrong response to avenue q. i...
IT’S TOTES DEPRESSING but i still love it
i loved all the characters and the songs, i was just sad and did not expect to be as sad as i was. well, okay, i didn't love "everybody's a little bit racist" because i kept thinking no that's not how racism works. but i'm thinking of buying the soundtrack.
bert and ernie... erm... rod and nicky were so cute. and holy crap the cast was so talented

19: Plan to have siblings?
Well, I have amassed fictive kin over the years and have (as a biologically only child), collected @mirrorscape, @femmeboyant, and a too-cool-for-tumblr more distant elder Jacob as siblings. So. Tentatively yes! I will not say no to more friends that I count as kin!
36: Favorite flavor pens?
In the sense that smell is very closely tied to taste, I’d say the “burnt marshmallow” one of these guys:

music help!!
Hey everyone! I need your help. Next week is my wedding (!!!!!!!!!!!!), and I need to make an hour long playlist for a cocktail hour. Other music has been taken care of... we already gave the organizers a million and one favorite other songs for the reception and wedding ceremony itself, so by this point I’m running out of ideas. I’m not looking for anything too intense or dancy because that’s for the reception... this is more lazing around on the beach chatting with friends while eating snacky snacks and hugging, perhaps with a side of meeting somebody’s Great Aunt Mildred.
I am going for a specific vibe: beachy, laid back acoustic-guitar, cheerful, sunny, and upbeat. Could you help me?? (@mirrorscape, @inertialreferenceframe, @femmeboyant, other people who are good at planning parties, now is my hour of need!)
In no particular order, the tracklist so far is:
Put Your Records on (Corinne Bailey Rae)
Island in the Sun (cover of the Weezer song by Renee Dominique)
Ne Me Quitte Pas (Regina Spektor)
In Your Arms (Kina Grannis)
Marry Me (Train)
My Dear (Kina Grannis)
Andar conmigo (Julieta Venegas)
Littlest Birds (The Be Good Tanyas)
How Deep Is Your Love (cover of the Bee Gees song by Renee Dominique)
I Just Called to Say I Love You (cover of Steve Wonder’s song by Bailey Pelkman & Randy Rektor)
Rather Be (cover of the Clean Bandit song by Jasmine Thompson)
Magic (Renee Dominique)

With the vanilla! You split the bean in half and scrape out the seeds, which can be used as is.
We got as far as opening them! Thank you for clearing up that the beans didn’t need to be ground up. We are absolutely ignorant about tropical plants
I think my mother was also trying to figure out what to cook with the fresh vanilla beans, plus when to use them as opposed to vanilla extract. @femmeboyant brought them for us from her family’s ancestral lands in Maka’alamihi, and my mother is *really* invested in not wasting them by accident. So far we’ve only been brave enough to open the bag and savor the smell…
