FEM NIGHTMARE DESIGN

i wanted to post both my pre corruption and post design version at once so here you go!

they might be subject to change in the future, but i don't think i wanna go overboard with detail for nightmare's passive form; cause not only would her fancy princess clothing be stolen or ripped and torn ages ago with all the bullying and blood staining it, but also the twins have to change their clothes every once in a while to clean them or at least when they get too small to fit, so the outfits have to be replaceable/easy to mend and sew back hhh xD

also no crowns for this version of mine, but a crescent moon hair clip turned necklace for night, and a sun clip turned belt for dream! her design coming soon (hopefully :'D)

Her love

Chapter 2 - Wine is a girl's best friend

It was rare for Carla to be in a dress. She just…didn't think it fit her, for some reason.

Yet, there was her, standing in the party saloon and drinking a glass of wine in a corner while everyone else was having fun.

She never liked going to weddings - the ceremony was always lame and lasted too long - but she didn’t have how to avoid this one because she agreed to be the maid of honor of Diana.

The only thing that made her coming worth it was Diana herself. She looked so beautiful when she entered the church in that pretty white dress - that supposedly was Harold’s mother’s first. Her face shined with happiness. As far as Carla was concerned, she looked like a princess from the fairytales she heard when she was a child.

That expression - it was the same one she had now in the party. Even though Carla was a few feet away from her, she could see how she radiated happiness.

“Do you mind if I stay here? It seems like this is the only quiet corner of this party”, a familiar voice said, and the lonely woman looked towards it.

It was Nora. Her gaze was calm, yet not as cheerful as the other people’s in the party.

“Oh-”, Carla said. “Of course not.”

Nora sighed as she leaned against the wall, drinking a bit of the liquid in the glass she held. She didn’t say a word towards Carla, just observing her sister dancing with her new brother-in-law.

…That was pretty much a thing that Nora would do. At least when it came to her.

“I- uh- heard that you are going to study outside of the country”, Carla said. “Congrats!”

Nora didn’t smile or even look at her. She rathered staring at her glass.

“Thank you”, she said methodically.

“What are you going to study anyways?”

“Herbology.”

“When are you going to travel?”

“Tomorrow. I only stayed for the wedding.”

“I see.”

The two of them stood silent for a while, watching Diana dance with Harold and then getting invited to dance by his relatives.

“Say”, Nora broke the silence. “What do you think of my in-law?”

Carla almost choked on her wine. “Why do you ask? I mean, I think he is a good guy!”

“Nothing in particular. I was just curious. After all, you and my sister are friends for a long time.”

Carla sighed. “Indeed.”

“Make sure to take care of her when I am gone”, Nora said. “After my mother… she got very upset and she only had me to console her. And now I am going to travel for only the stars know how long… Will you do that?”

In the last question, she made sure to look at Carla’s eyes.

“Y-yes, Nora, don’t worry”, she said nervously. Why did she feel threatened..?

“Good.”

The next hours weren’t that remarkable. Carla and Nora stood in a quiet silence observing from afar, making some comments from time to time, until the latter had to come back to her house to pack her things up.

The lonely woman sighed, as she probably should go home as well.

She looked at the bride one last time, before walking out of the party.

A sketch I made for the Rarepair Newyyear 2024 Event!

I didn't finish the drawing I to the point I would have wanted, but it does look pretty okay as a sketch!

Background information about the pairing:

So, there was this BSP fic ( https://archiveofourown.org/works/36884674 - It has an explicit first chapter but it's all fluff) where Nightmare was essentially just being dramatic about the king of Negativity and really was just chillin with having 4 buff boyfriends. Which honestly? Seeing Nightmare's childhood? Slay fam- ya deserve it-

Anywho, I was thinking about rarepairs and how *that* version of Nightmare would actually pair really well with classic Papyrus! The Knight to his Queen! He'd be soft and sweet with NM, and they'd be dramatic together- it'd be great!

NM: "I'm *evil-"*

Papyrus: "I can make spaghetti."

NM: 😍

Anywho- I told myself I'd write a fic and make fancy art and all this stuff, but I only finished the sketch-
