In Mystic Falls, there are hardly any trustworthy people. Everyone wants to kill witches, whether it’s humans, vampires and even werewolves. A thousand year old witch cursed to die until the end of Time and the young witch who has only recently discovered her powers become each other’s confidants despite the battles going on around them. Others say they shouldn’t be friends, they shouldn’t even be acquaintances. One witch comes from the Originals’ time, while the other sides with the doppelganger targeted by the former. They should be against each other. 

But a witch always takes care of their own. 

That’s Maleny’s number one rule and it’s the rule she teaches Bonnie. Maleny helps Bonnie reach her potential as a witch, liberating Bonnie from the rules that their kind bounds them to. In turn, Bonnie helps Maleny see the world beyond the eyes of the Originals. There’s more than just curses, magic and vampirism. There’s life to live even when everything can seem bleak. There’s beautiful chaos that only best friends can do. Nonsense drinking, stupid conversations at midnight, plans that can only end badly, and uncontrollable laughter at the weirdest situations. The witch who’s been alive for a thousand years has not lived at all and the young witch of Mystic Falls has yet to meet someone who fully understands her magical side and dares to defy the “norm” that modern-day witches live by.

“Hey stef, what’s up? Your supposed to be dancing with Elena?” Rye questioned as she stepped towards him. He didn’t say anything but he turned around. “Nice fake blood, your gonna give those judges a heart attack.” She said. “It’s not fake blood.” Stefan said. Rye grabbed onto his arm, and started moving. She wasn’t sure where they were going, but Stefan needed to be away from people. Suddenly she shoved off her. “I .. I can’t. I need to be away from people, I could hurt you. Stefan said. Rye nodded like she understood. She went to hug him, and and pulled a syringe out of her pocket. She stuck it in him, and he fell to the floor. She got out her phone, and dialed Akira. “Hey your dad has a car right?”. Akira had not expected to have to drive her fathers car to the woods to pick up a blood addict vampire, but that’s what you do for friends. She helped rye put Stefan in the backseat, and got in shotgun. “How’d you do? I mean, I thought you were a horrible driver?” Rye asked. “I am, I almost made an accident on the way here, but I didn’t so...” Akira left it at that. Rye nodded and started driving. “Where are we going?” Akira asked? “There’s a cellar at the Salvatore boarding house, he can calm down in there, till the bloods out of his system.” Rye said. “Shit” she called out suddenly. “What?” Akira asked. “I forgot to tell Elena, she has no idea what’s going on.” Rylee explained. Akira took out her phone and called. “Hey elena, how was the dance?” “Oh he didn’t show up? Well I have the explanation.” “He uh, he relapsed.” “We’re taking him to the cellar in the boarding house, wanna meet us there?” “All right, see you.” Akira hung up. “I’m literally not even friends with Stefan.” Akira thought out loud. “You could be, if he gets better.” Rye suggested.

Claire didn't like the look on his face. She had resisted the urge to tense, but once Logan had turned without a word and begun walking away, she flexed her hands, feeling her fingers tingle. Her gaze followed him. He disappeared from sight. She stared into the emptiness for what felt like an eternity before she let herself relax. At that moment she realized Logan had been heading in the direction of the Gilbert house.
