tete a tete by caciopepebowl (14k~) this is REQUIRED reading to ME. its a quick read that explores kate and anthonys roles in their family. with an emphasis on KATE specifically bc of the additional hurdles of being a woman with limited funds. and anthony losing his mind on her behalf while shes breaking his heart by being like "the way i was treated was normal?? you dont know anything" and hes like "what? kate you deserved everything. you deserve ALL the love in the world!!" and shes all ">:( well if i do. you do too." . and hes like "oh. well...no. you see.. bc i suck" and shes like -_-. its really sweeeeeet and lovely <3) and really finally gave me the exploring of kates family issues that THE SHOW DID NOT!!!

close encounters of the acutest kind by caciopepebowl (WIP ~74k. only incomplete fic ill put on this list i PROMMY. bc its by the prev author. and i Looove their writing and its sooo good so far <3) kate and anthony meet for the first time the DAY her dad died which is also the SAME DAY hyacinth is born. theyre both having a panic attack and end up running into the same empty hospital room to have it. are then intrinsically linked forever. as one is. run into each other multiple times over the years. with different feelings each time. and they are so normal (lying) <3. i love them

(~42k) this is so underrated. kate runs a charity organization. anthony is CEO of whatever the fuck. she goes to his company when theyre holding some audition for what charity theyre going to invest in and kate is the last speaker and when its finally her turn he doesnt even pay attention. and shes exhausted and overworked and just oveeeer it All. so she just ends the meeting and tells him to go fuck himself. LOL. genuinely really good. and hot <3
sidelines by ramarro. (~60k) this was THE quintessential kanthony modern AU in 2022. took a far fetched premise and somehow made it soooo good. and hot. and cute. kates an artist who sees a picture of anthony on tinder and thinks he looks obnoxious (lol) but screenshots the photo so she can use it for sketching practice. and then she see him and his grown ass on a date with her BABY sister. and shes like well i was right about him. and lets him know to his face how she feels (LOL). its wild. it slays. read it. theres an explicit follow up to it which also slays
three cities and we never lived here by ramarro. (~25k, ~40k) very different modern au where kate and anthony meet on vacation and are very casual with them both not looking for anything (genuinely for once lol) and then seeing each other multiple times over 2-3 years in different cities and still keeping it casual. but slowly slowly slowlyyyy it doesnt feel as casual as it used to. theres 2 fics in this. the first is kates pov. the second is anthony. both very good.
just go with it by suitsusboth. (~18k) kate when booking a flight sees the potential titles like ms, mrs, dr, and "viscountess" listed as a legit option and has a laugh like whos picking this goofy shit and accidentally clicks it. and then on her flight gets upgraded to first class next to anthony bc they assumed she was his wife. and he tries to be mad about it. but well. hes stupid for her in every universe so lol. funny and sweet

(image fic) these are textfics told through instagram, twitter, article and text message screenshots. with some regular text. would just check them out to gauge how you feel about the storytelling method. very fun reads once you get the hang of it

a devils love by irony_rocks. (~57k) this may not be for everyone but kanthony season came out around the same time as the batman (2022) and as someone who was crazy insane about both. this was the MOMENT for me in spring 2022. its a crime mafia type au where kates character is inspired by selina kyle and the pebble lounge where she worked in the batman movie. and well. if youre about that specific combo check it out. if you arent i wouldnt recommend this lmao. its not a batman au
break point (series) by penny_loaf. (multiple. ~25k) like prev this entire series gets kind of dark bc it really delves into the pressure of the world its set in. on TOP of the issues kate and anthony already have. i LOVED it. BUT also i am an ANGST and crazy, complicated characters STAN. which may not be the case for everyone.. but again very GORGEOUS to ME <3 and hot. LOL

You haven’t watched the latest episodes of doctor who??? I’m disappointed :(( I watched them as soon as they came out, I can only hope it gets better :’) I’m enjoying this new season, it’s not as great as the early ones though. Who is your favourite doctor?
The last doctor who i watched was upto the last episode with peter capaldi, and that was 1-2 yrs ago :( i tried to watch the ones after that but its just like, it got too difficult 😭 even the ones with capaldi were difficult because it jhst became so modernised and obviously thats expected but still idk😭😭 i just like the cosy vibes of doctor who and then suddenly it felt like fluorescent lights. Yk?

My favourite honestly id say sarah jane smith possibly purely because i knew her character from her spin off show and i thought she was such a badass and then seeing how she reminisces and continued her sci fi saving stuff WITHOUT the doctor- that was amazinf and brave!!
But if im looking at just the companions I've actually watched, cus i havent watched the old seasons, lol. I would sayyy Amy because shes so like multifaceted and i love that. She loves rhe doctor but she loves rory but he doesnt get her as much but she still loves him and she loves the doctor but shes so loyal to rory and she feels so strongly and she wants to be so MUCH and i know these traits are all in the other companions too but i love how it is expressed with amy! How she doesn't reallt get everything, and she gets a tragic but loving ending. And i mean, fish fingers and custard! A delicacy whicj couldn't have come about if the 11th doctor didnt have wrird cravinfs at her house. I love rose too. I also love clara but shes bottom of the list and i cant wrap my mind around why exactly. But yeah.

Every second movie would come out in July so I would pretend it was like a birthday gift to me.

The Walking Dead - passive enjoyer
- This was also a family affair. Every sunday we would all gather round our shitty TV for the newest episode. I was more of a liveblogger than anything else. My dad has a bit to this day that ‘Hershel isn’t dead. He’ll be back.’ Yeah, sure dad.

Homestuck - creative enjoyer
- War flashbacks. Not only was I a semi-well known fanartist, I was also a semi-well known cosplayer in my city. I was a ‘friendleader’ in my cities Homestuck fangroup and attended events, dances, etc etc etc. I was on a cosplay gif blog here on Tumblr. I ran the second most popular groupchat on MSPARP.com before it was MXRP.com. I had beef with mods. Most of my relationships at that time were forged in the fires of LOHAC. I still see my art of Dave in MCR black parade uniform around sometimes.

In celebration of International Women’s Day you’ll be getting my list of my favvvvv female marauders ships, because these lovely ladies deserve so much better, this is top five tho cos I’m lazy
1. Dorlene
Yeah obviously I’m basic as shit but I love them soooo much. And they’re is so much potential within them. Like we have the classic enemies to lovers, but we also have the adorable friends to lovers. And there is soo much angst potential with Marlene dying at the hands of Voldemort, and we love the good old avenge your dead lover trope. And Dorcas would deliver!!! Like just the pure intensity of their relationship will actually send me into a coma
2. Pandalily
Firstly, they are ADORABLE like they are such a cute pairing, but more than that they are both so smart like academic rivals to lovers anyone. Like Pandora with her experiments and Lily quite literally being the Brightest Witch of Her Year. Like imagine them on cute little study dates. Or the fact that they are both so smart and cool. Like everyone would be in love with lily and Pandora is causing everyone to question their sexuality
3. Nobleflower
Give the older girls some love. Like they’re so sweet and cute. But then the ANGST the BETRAYAL. Narcissa marrying Lucius malfoy and Bellatrix being the reason that Alice lost her mind. Like can you imagine Narcissa coming to see Alice in hospital but Alice having no memories of the two, Narcissa being the one forced to carry all the memories of their relationship. Or even worse, Alice remembering Narcissa and being confused whenever Narcissa would leave her or never come to visit. Like I’m in actual tears but I love them
4. Killerquill (or Quillkiller idk)
Look a bit awkward that they’re right after Narcissa and Alice but that’s ok. These two are my fav grey coded characters like awww look at them committing war crimes I love them. But these two in a relationship is quite literally such a whirlwind. Like both of them are so cool and interesting on their own. And together thye have so much potential for just evil and I love that like there is no angst in this one because they both are just ok with committing terrible acts together. These two are demons and I love that for them, like let girls be evil and let them have fun doing it.
5. Emmary
Last, but not least we have emmary, the two sweetest nicest girls on the planet. Like their love story is just sooo romantic and could be so powerful when it comes to discussions of survival guilt and how to move on from traumatic events. Because don’t forget both Mary and Emmeline SURVIVE the first war. Like I would kill to read a fic that just explores the relationship dynamic pre and post first wizard war. Because we have both the cute, sweet innocence of teen love, but then mixed with the trauma of surviving a war and losing many of their friends. And then the ANGST that is the death of Emmeline during the second war and how Mary copes with the loss of one of the last people who attached her to the wizarding world.

sula - toni morrison. favorite book of all time I have multiple copies of it and it's the absolute best story of female friendship imo and as a midwestern black girl I really resonated in ways I don't always resonate with books about southern black culture. sula mae peace was a low down diabolical woman and I love her
jesus saves - darcey steinke. this book is pretty graphic esp the scenes with sandy and her kidnapper. the dual povs are great and its one of the bleakest novels ive ever had the pleasure of reading. I was sat in shock when I finished
little birds - anais nin. my fav erotica book I like this more than delta of venus and there's actually a picture I took of the book thats popular on Pinterest and goes viral on tumblr/twitter all the time LOL. a major comfort read during one of the worst years of my life.
the moth diaries - rachel klein. read it last year it was such a good introspective work that honestly the vampirism felt both secondary and integral to the narrators plight like you can see her sanity slip over time and yet tou sit there wishing either shes right so she can have at least one thing to grasp onto or wishing she was wrong so she can feel some peace.
chouette - claire oshetsky. MY FAVVVVV BOOK ON MOTHERHOOD its magical realism and you can read it as an allegory or read it as literal which is what I prefer to do. a quick read but its so touching in its strangeness.
lolita - vladimir nabokov. technically a top 5 but its a book thats so integral to me that I can't properly rank. the way he played with words and the depth of the book is just unparalleled. I reread it once a year and although I love the 97 film it cannot come close to the book. its filled with such lush visuals and such sensuous language I get into discourse about it all the time because people either hate it due to misconceptions or they love it but feel guilty so they have to virtue signal in the most obnoxious ways. im a separate third thing.
the discomfort of evening - marieke lucas rijneveld. this is what lapvona wanted to be…it was dark and uncomfortable at many times and you feel just as isolated as the characters in some ways it feels like if the vvitch happened in more modern times with how the family dealt with grief and death in a small religious community it was kinda gross at times tol.
earthlings - sayaka murata. another very gross book and I would go into this carefully bc its very explicitly about csa. the main character was a wonderful depiction of how parental neglect, sexual abuse and trauma can leave a person stunted and how they can end up in very unsavory circumstances. the ending was wild.
nausea - jean paul sarte. my first "philosophical" book and it really....hit kinda close but it became a comforting read. I was coming off my Hell Year and I was still dealing with a lot of depression and just emptiness and that book encapsulated a lot of my emotions.
the nun - denis diderot. one of the funniest books ever im not playing. its about a young girl who becomes a nun because shes a child of adultery in the 18th century and her life just gets worse and worse as random shit keeps happening to her. it has homoeroticism and blasphemy and was conceived as a prank where diderot wrote letters as the MC. once you get into the language its such a crazy ride.
pope is a satoshi kon stan down so he feels very strongly about his work being ripped off by aronofsky!!! he argues about black swan being a lesser film all the time but I would say paprika is his fav

Mugs, my one true love. Do you also have this thing where each mug is destined for like a specific task? Like the matcha mug, the hot chocolate mug, etc? Also can I see yours? I love mugs.
My fav fav favvvvv project I ever worked on alone was Heartless. The first few chapters FLOWED out of me it was insane and beautiful and I think this is really where you get to slowly see my writing style appear?
I like a good one-shot because it's easy and fun and relaxing, but Heartless was actual work and I'm very very VERY proud of it. It's not a very well known fic of mine, but it's my precious baby.
In a collab work, it's been with @greenvlvetcouch and the God Eater fic because of all the reasons I have stated multiple times. Highly recommend collaborating with a virtual random stranger on a fic (which green kinda was when we started), they might become a close friend (also since God Eater, green gave me a mug I drink green tea from so really they've got me all figured out).

hello fav waterparks tumblr mutual how do u feel about the fact intellectual property is coming out in. 3 days. personally i am sosososo scareds.
FAVVVVV !$@$^#$^$%!%#%# ummm..... i am not feeling great about it .... . . . . . though i. will confess though ive told you this before I LIKED GREATEST HITS. LIKE I ACTIVELY ENJOY IT. ERMM. so maybe itll be the same thing.. a really ugly messy guilty pleasure.... but i doubt it. waterparks had really eerily relatable lyrics to me. dont ask how.
i think its going to hit the two worst spots possible; overbearing electronic nightmare & washed out indistinct pop garbage- and also going to have the MOST doody ass, empty, shallow and on-the-nose tiktok ass writing it can, so there likely wont even be a redeeming quality on the lyrical front ..........
all and all i am... excited to review it and excited to try and enjoy it but do i believe i will enjoy it on a first or even a second listen :question: no. i dont. my waterparks irls (i do have them somehow( are also So So Scareds.
