.....I was right. Its not that hard.
#its technically slightly wrong cuz i dont have signatures#im just doing one folded piece of paper at a time#which does take longer#but i was expecting that#doing actual signatures would have a. been way too thick cuz im using watercolor paper and getting them to lay flat wouldve been annoying#and also i wouldve had to pay a lot more attention to how the pages were actually laid out#and this project was already kinda overwhelming without that added in#im also combining methods a bit cuz im also gonna glue the spine with wood glue for extra support#and i also dont want the stitching to be visible#every tutorial was also like ''coptic stitch is great for exposed stitching!!!'' like cool story. not why im using it. gonna cover that shit#also finding one that wasnt in video form AND actually showed everything i needed to know was completely impossible apparently#i needed to know how to attach a fresh string when i run out cuz i always struggle with that in any sewing project#and generally need a refresher each time#and all the written ones were just like ''just make sure your string is long enough before hand!!! but not so much that it becomes#tangled!!!'' bitch im making a much thicker book than you. i cannot just use ONE string. it b#absolutely WILL become tangled if i make it long enough to finish the binding in one go.#yall are WEAK#my book is 3 times thicker than yours#i need to know how to attach a fresh string#the video tutorials cover that but i had to fast forward through most of it#im running out of steam for tonight (hence why im here and not working on it) so ill be finishing this tomorrow#was hoping to get this part done over the weekend but i ended up not getting a lot of the writing done on friday as i intended#cuz i ended up having to play tech support for my friend so she could update her sims mods

#im posting this very late because i was sort of weary of how it came out and ended up messing w it until it was like 4am oops.#and i have plans tmrw so... oh well! i did my best and ill put it out while i can!#and i tried to make the scene match barnard's colors lol#finn's ocs#finn's art#i know i said id do more sillay stuff with the simpler screentone only style but i had a couple more of these in me#and this is the first piece im making thats like an actual part of the story too rather than just setting stuff for fun#i wanna write something to go with it too but for now ill just sort of briefly explain the context in the tags here:#barnard has a pretty bad case of OCD and his compulsions have made it difficult to make friends in the past#he was never outright bullied or anything but people just didnt really have the patience to deal with it#he has compulsions that include stuff like walking through doors until it feels right and needing things to be perfectly aligned#which in group settings has lead to people having to wait for him to finish his rituals and join them#they might find it tolerable at first but eventually they grow impatient and hes just... not invited to stuff anymore#but juno is a newer member of the guild who ends up frequenting the same library. hes also kinda a little weird#and they dont become fast friends or anything but just sort of naturally spend time in the same place#though they never plan meetups they eventually fall into a routine. around the same time theyd just both be at the library#and read next to each other. and maybe talk a bit. and eventually they end up walking back to the guildhall together#since theyre going to the same place after all. and juno always waits for barnard outside the door#eventually barnard asks if this bothers him. juno kinda just tells him 'of course it does' without any malice or anything. just a statement#barnard is surprised and apologizes and juno says not to. but the next day juno doesnt show up at the usual time.#barnard assumes hes committed somekinda more by bringing it up. he ends up staying there late reading to get his mind off it & not ruminate#but when he leaves juno is in fact still waiting for him down the hall (see pic) having collected a bunch of books literally abt ocd#he fell asleep bc barnard stayed later than expected. and hes an eepy guy generally. and also one very bad at expressing himself#but now barnard gets that juno's 'of course it [bothers me]' had the implication of 'but its worth it' which no friend has previously done.#and from the interaction juno was also able to understand that this isn't something barnard just does for the hell of it so. he studies.#and checks a bunch of stuff out because he thinks it could help his friend too (theres ocd workbooks and such- i remember working w them)#and thats the point where they became more ''friends'' than ''pleasant library acquaintances''#from there on they also do get into juno's problems. whole other bag of worms. but this specific scene is more about bernard from his pov#sorry about when i said briefly explain. i lied </3#but compared to the whole sequence im picturing its brief so shhh

A way I play Pokémon and other games for example#Is that I spend extra time over leveling myself and then I continue and sweep stuff and then repeat this usually and idk why especially#Early game... It's rlly fun. I did a bit of this with frost but also I tried just. Getting stuff done fast. And also like... Its my main#And 'first' toon (that I got that far) so I experienced some stuff for the first time but now that I'm an experienced player I can do this#Stuff. It's genuinely so fun not only I have an oc I love in Toontown but also a really fun way to play the game#And cme on its fun to show off a baby toon and be like :3 HEEHEE we dragged them thru cog golf and they lived#I should go eepy now... #i just noticed my last post was before eruyt IM SO SORRY#the drafted thoughts i did kinda of overwhelmed post the final so its really rambly and lengthy lol but !! if u care to hear what i thought#abt stuff after golmore jungle here goes lol I'll try to be short: mt. bur omisace is really fun and the turning point there is really well#played!!! the stuff in the arcades draklor laboratory quests is like one of my favorites part of the entire game probably right after eruyt#which is not to say much since I'm insane abt balthier and fran but I genuinely loved everything abt the arcades part#the dungeon was fun the fight with sid just isn’t better than the other sid fight lmao#i genuinely think its the most fun boss in the game excluding some of the espers but again i might just be biased. i just love balthier#so much his character is so well written and well rounded everything that resolves around him is fun and also thank God for fran#the next part i felt like it was pretty rushed tbh like i adore the story points in it i love ridorana but you get to pharos#and its like a long ass dungeon that i really felt lost half the time with it's placement in the story tbh#idk i just really liked every dungeon in that game up until that point so I was like. what is this lol but they gave me#that gabranth and sid scene right after and gotta be honest. i forgot abt my anger so fast LOL genuinely. so good.#its what i said early i really like the story points in that part but the dungeon felt really short tbh but ugh framfrit and sid. that vena#part. that shit was so good lol i prefer that gabranth fight over last one but the ending for his character was also SO good I was like#alright u get a pass for a A+ fight too. i just like him too. the scenes with vane and larsa is TOP TIER too. that shit#scared me so bad i swear that kid was dying i was fearing for my life. its so weird the way thag i genuinely think vane loved larsa#he's just not normal abt anything ig. now i cant tell u if I was a bit over level at that part or not lol but I felt the vayne parts rushed#too. the start of when u first fight him vs that last phase. idk maybe i think i wanted more interaction between him#and the party since the banter on this game is phenomenal. but yeah i think that's the main gameplay points lol#now useless stuff bc im emotional abt them but kiss me goodbye to end that game? kinda weird bc i just think#ffxii is the most platonic of all ffs (even if I adore balfran with all my life and well vaan and penelo are there too)#and its by far one of my favorite things of that game. but also i cried while penelo was speaking over the song so who am i to say anything#really. i just think the chorus is so ashe and vaan coded. i really wanted their relationship to have more screentime#bc i feel like theres few scenes compared to the amount of similarities they have. also i was sad abt her alone THEY COULD'VE ADOPTED#SIBLINGS COME ON. now i only have 3 tags to talk to u abt my feeings abt balfran so. hear me out. phenomenal. show stopping.#they didn't need that last scene but they did it for me I'm literally in love with them. i love xii story so much but the development of th#relationships are is my fav part and they are really up there. i knew i liked them when i was a kid but didn't thought it was THAT much.#perfect duo really. i have nothing to add to them but also anyone feel free to ask me abt specific parts of this game. #*scoffs* as if i don't have a bunch of other comics and some video games lined up#BUT!!!! 😩 u know when u get sucked into something for weeks or a month then u finish and face The Void#yeah lol. it's still going too ૮ – ﻌ–ა I'll try 2 keep up#i been rereading Tower of God for a while tho 😹 it's sooo good.#it's rly funny it just has the one season animated because this is one of those cases where you TRULY have not seen anything yet#i assumed there was just enough material for like one or two more seasons but oh no. lmaooo#it's like ~12% of the story and there's hella seamless time skips bc doing things actually takes a realistic amount of time lol#so there's still A Lot to explore. i already liked it but i found it a lot more enjoyable the second time around 0:#“takes a realistic amount of time” ← it is seamless bc u do not have to necessarily see or follow them thru this time#u can just b at the result sometimes. the pacing is always p good tho. it never rly feels like it drags on longer than it needs to#except maybe the last like 50-100 chapters bc the artist needed to take it easier‚ which makes for some good long visuals#but they do kinda feel like padding for the story that drag a bit before getting to the point#but this is after being absolutely spoiled for like 560 chapters which are long as fuck themselves. the scrollbar is like 1-1.5mm 😩#on top of it moving fast and staying interesting like berserk does. kinda stumbling frm one thing to the next but#yeag :3 yayy it was very nice and i will be referring back to it a lot as a means to keep up w the story and to practice my drawing

Guess who's spending Eid away from home again next year lol
#me bitch#i havent went home for eid for 2 years and if you count next year then make it 3#so fyi first day of eid is estimated to be on the 10 of april 2024 which is Wednesday#so my classmates estimate that the classes on monday and tuesday will be online so they started to buy the tickets on Friday (5/4)#or during the weekend basically because yknow festive season = expensive tickets#and i told it to my friend and she chekced the ticket to go to kl and its only 200+ (official app) or 100+ (travel company) on 6/4 at 5am#so she asked me if i want to buy it so we can share transport to airport together and be in the same flight#so i called mom just now but since i need to take the transit to ny hometown it racks up to rm800+ 💀#totalled with the flights back to uni on sunday (14/4) it will be up to rm1600+ 💀#mom sound sorry and even said she can pay if i really want to go back home#but yknow i dont want to burden my parents more (they are the one who usually pay for my flights anyway)#and my friend who lives in the same state as me also doesnt seem to be able to afford the expensive tickets too#so its just me and her in the perantauan again ig lol#but my friend who lives here said to just celebrate eid with her and we can sleep in her room 😂#tbh i dont really mind not going back because as i get older the excitement for eid lessen idk#but i kinda miss the bersalam on the morning of eid with my family so yeah#and if i were to graduate and start working which i cant imagine ngl then i wont be home much anyway#whatever at least i get to fast at home for a week so theres still some W to celebrate#personal.txt

24. What's something you like about yourself that you wish more people recognized?
Something I like about myself that I feel others should recognize more... That I'm legit boring and I don't mean it in a bad way. It's just more so along the lines of being like. I don't go out to do exciting things too much. Yeah it's mostly because of lack of money.
And like you might be like "Something you like about yourself not dunk on yourself!" and I'm not dunking on myself I'm just like- I wish folk would just accept that there isn't a mystery to me.
I'm not some mystery that needs to be solved. I'm just content with not sharing every single aspect of me upon first meeting.

Where do you normally buy your clothes from??
ever since they upgraded to a bigger store that sells their outlet stuff, a large part of my wardrobe has been dangerfield stuff. specifically princess highway though i have a couple of pieces from revival/black friday. its not the only store though. gorman is another store i have one or two things from?
i also get stuff from an independent store called fin which specializes in mostly one of a kind or limited amount of clothes the owner has sewn/knitted themself (i think???) also some funny lil jewelry. (specifically i like their sweater vests theyre very creative and comfortable), another independent store called chilli which gets in a lot of unique pieces from korea and is owned by an artist who sells her paintings and jewelry from there (also has very nice knitted pieces) and then ANOTHER independent store called thrift which focuses on secondhand american vintage (will never forget the 3 massive patched leather indycar jackets i found they were heavy and like $300-400 )
but the problem with those stores is that usually every single bit of clothing is unique and theres no guarantee you will find something you like, esp if youre like me and only buy from the smaller sale rack (the idea of paying like $100 for a shirt gives me severe anxiety i dont have that kind of money)
i only go clothes shopping every like.... 3-4 months? pretty much for each season. but only for things i need. i.e, i had no long sleeve shirts. autumn just started. so i bought long sleeve shirts. i also needed a maxi dress for all seasons, bought that. also needed a new knit, and to branch out with the colours i wear, so i did that.
i try to list what i have and the colours/style of theae things and then what i need and visit the stores i like every two to three weeks to see what is new in, what the style/theme of the clothes are and then wait until what i like and need of the new stuff is fully on sale in 2/3 months.
so like, now ive got some pieces i can mix and match with what i have and be set until winter rolls around. im probably gonna need to get a proper overcoat as last winter i went without and it was cold. also need to keep an eye out for a smaller but equally as warm jacket for days when a full overcoat is too formal/too much. im gonna need some proper thick woollen tights because winter here is wet and miserable and i'll be out every week working by then. finally i need a new pair of shoes because my docs are gonna need repairs on the toe and theyre my only boots + theyre so dark and navy they dont go so well with my light coloured clothes. so im going to keep an eye out on the stores around my city as they start to stock warmer clothes and note down when anything i like matches my needs and around when it'll go on sale.
#im glad i started doing this like 3 years ago#before then i shopped at fast fashion places and my clothes would wear and tear so quickly#once i started like. properly caring about being happy with what i wear no matter what and enjoying clothes that felt like me#i started feeling way less depressed#plus it meant i didnt have a bulk of clothes i dont wear in my closet#no everything matches nicely with other stuff. i dont have multiple of the same kinda dress#when i really only will ever wear the dress i like the most#i just have the 2 summer dresses i like. my pinafore. my clubbing dress. and now a maxi dress.#no more dresses needed until they break! no more worrying about dresses!#same with pants i have 2 pairs of jeans my green embroidered cords my black work pants and my orange linen pants
