@thee-morrigan has tagged me to pick five songs i like! i decided not to go with my top five spotify repeat songs, and instead go with recent ones that have been puttering in my brain [the ones who SHOULD be top five lool].

1] Dear Wormwood - The Oh Hellos:

So, I've been "working" [haha. smh .... no] on a possible future Kenedis, who is a mix of TWC!Kendis, Exile!Kendis, and a couple of past RP concepts. So, ofc, this mean shit parents have to be a part of the backstory. Hence this song that I feel fits my nebulous ideas for an arc, lol.

2] Seven Devils - Florence + The Machine: What playlist wouldn't be made better without this song? I just don't know which one to put it in yet, lol. I am making a series of playlists for a set of future characters for a RP i might be joining [the one mentioned above], it started with me wanting a Florence song for Kendis [bc I've had at least one Florence song or at least a song by an indie rock/folk artist in my past few Kendis playlists]. But I'm still deciding if this is the one I want. But I just ended up thinking about this song a lot as well as about how much I like/d it. So here it is!

3] Silence - Khalid, Marshmello:

I haven't strongly with the desire to write, but I've been still low-key itching with ideas. And one of the ideas, is for this future RP, involving a darker Andy. I usually play Andy before or after the travesty that really fucked up his life [he has a few too, so I should say ADULT life]. But not during for many years. I'm [nervously] hoping to, and this song fits real well what I've been pondering. Not 10, 000% but strongly enough.

5] Achilles Come Down - Gangs of Youth: You crave the applause yet hate the attention.

Sooooo I recently realized this song is perfect for Kendis. I don't know why I never have, lmao. I mean in general but particularly for specific Kendis'. Again, like the above it''s 10, 000% but it's ENOUGH that I've re-fallen in love with this song. Ugh. It hurts.

I don't even know what to say? qwere roflmao. What do you want to know, anon? (THOUGH, thanks so much for the compliment :-D)

I've been writing Kendis since 2019. At least a version of her. The first concept of Kendis, the og of most ogs was never written, but she was a free-wheelin', hot mess. This was back in 2018. I THINK. I ended up tweaking her and creating Kendis Crawford-Gagne. The proto-Kendis. She was a bit sweeter, a lot more femme, more of the drunk girl you meet in the bathroom. A touch less chaotic. But very much selfish, stubborn, into science, and willing to go all out for a loved one.

This Kendis' mom died when she was young, she was raised by her older (half) brother -- and somewhat by her dad who loved her but was still grieving.

That Kendis was 18. KCL - Kendis Crawford-Louel - came about because I wanted an older Kendis. This Kendis was more queer -- I felt more comfortable in exploring her as a demi-girl (not right away, but eventually. Had to go through the crisis of 'can I as a cis person do this?'). I changed a lot of her backstory too so I think that changed a lot of how they presented themselves. And I think also that KCG was human and KCL was not also really changed their outlook in life, and thus behavior.

This all sounds very boring and tl;dr. LMAO. I'm sorry anon, I don't have anything intriguing to share. Hrm, I guess I could say:

og KCL is the youngest of four -- there is their half-brother Ben and two sisters from Ben's dad, that they consider their own sisters. And I tend to carry Ben over in their canons if they don't have siblings as a cousin or someone who used to baby sit her. Kendis changes a lot of they don't have youngest child syndrome lmao.

Kendis is almost always a creature. The only acception is TWC Kendis, but they have the speshul blud~~. og KCL is a three-beast (a creature of my making). kotsam Kendis is a draka. Exile Kendis is a mythosi (wolf). twc au Kendis is a werewolf.

And sometimes they're a creechur with elemental powers bc I'm extra like that

Kendis is usually demi-romantic bisexual. KCG was demi-sexual, bi-romantic. Kendis will always be on the ace spectrum and bi.

KCG and KCL were sickly as kids. KCG lost her mom. KCL lost their first (and only) love. It was ... a mess. LMAO. Austyn Blanchard. I still keep Austyn in most Kendis' backstories. Austyn is replaced by Syfyn in the Exile.

Kendis loves fashion. Money. Independence. Their people. Nature. Animals. Kids. They love trying new activies and hobbies, I usually go with hiking and pottery for them. I'm not sure why on the pottery.

Kendis (most of them) abhors violence against living beings (which ofc is a thing I've explored with them, because terrible) but isn't against fucking up privite and public property.

I've written Kendis as a parent before and I love. Of course, they were a single parent. Kendis and romance is --- roflmao. (I don't usually do romance with my characters. But Kendis. lmao. Ahhh, Kendis.)

Kendis isn't touch averse (they've had sex) but Kendis is very big about being the one to initiate touch and having people check in with them always before touching them. Touch can make them feel clausterphobic at times -- or not exactly touch but people pressing into their boundaries/personal space. I once took a love language quiz and they scored 0% for touch. Even Andy didn't score that low. LMAO.

Kendis is probs one of my characters with the most sympathy, but they're also probs one of my most frustrated. And selfish. It leads to fun times.

Always (well, almost), Kendis is full of opinions (but Kendis can’t always be bothered to find important what you find important). It could be about anything. What are you looking for? Thrift shops exist man. Renting exist. Yeah, they do that. WHAT ABOUT IT.

It depends. But lately yes (it’s med school - for og kendis - bruh). (kotsam kendis is half and half). As for the second, I don’t think so. They will research, of course.

Usually people that other people don’t like. Kendis and their adoption of sad sack people, usually men. I really don’t know. Kendis liked being queer in midwest America (og/twc au ... twc)? IDK, man.

What would it take for them to break up with someone? What would be the last straw?

Oh, wow. Um. Hrm. I don’t usually do Kendis and relationships ... but I think someone who deliberately stepped on their boundaries. (I feel Kendis has a few ‘last straws’, actually.) Kendis doesn’t like feeling boxed/caged in, so they’re wary about starting a relationship (romantic and sexual) because of that -- so if they gave that trust and you began to betray it in that way? Byke.

Do they like being called pet names? Do they call other people pet names? What’s their go-to?

No. I don’t think so. At times. (As for go-to I don’t remember. ‘Bro’? LMAO. Kendis would be the type to romantically call you dude and platonically call you baby. Except for ‘baby’ it’s more like, someting teasingly mean/random.)

Both (lol), lean the latter.

Give them honesty and they give you charity.

Both, but hard lean the latter. Really the latter, honestly.

Super detailed questions about your OCs

1. What’s their full name? Why was that chosen? Does it mean anything?

Kendis: Kendis Lateth.

I chose Kendis because I wanted a female character with the nickname Ken. Funnily the nickname never picked up in RP. Lateth was a surname that sounded most like Louel but fit in game.

Kai: Malakai Gideon Baines.

I rightly don't remember. I probably liked how fantasy that is probably an angel it sounded. I chose his middle name after the fact, and I did choose it because of the Christian biblical connotations.

17. Do they like to take photos? What do they like to take photos of? Selfies? What do they do with their photos?

Kendis: Kendis doesn't have the patience to sit for portraits, especially solo ones. Though, I admit if they're gonna do it then they Do It. Most of the pictures they had painted were for others benefit-- after all mirrors exist and they know what they look like.

They did keep one rather cool, prestigious frame in their room. It was big but not huge. They didn't take it with them when they went into exile.

Kai: No.

20. Do they like musicals? Music in general? What do they do when they’re favourite song comes?

Kendis: You can blame Sabir. But yes, they do. I don't think they had time for music in general, but they did enjoy the live performances at party. I wonder if they even have a favorite song ... But they would hum or tap their feet.

Kai: More than one might think but he is not exactly a fan. He does enjoy some music. He doesn't really do anything-- but if he's by himself he will turn the song on a little louder.

27. What makes them sad? Do they cry regularly? Do they cry openly or hide it? What are they like they are sad?

Kendis: The past, what they've lost. Sad kids or animals.. Nope -- most Kendis' .. just don't let themselves cry, and Exile Kendis is the WORST. The most they allow is MAYBE burning eyes and runny nose. When the wet eyes start, it is all about stemming that. Insufferable? Probably avoidant, angry. They train or find a distraction.

Kai: Hrm. I don't know-- I do believe there are things that make him sad, he just hasn't told me. I do think it is childhood related. But no, he doesn't cry regularly. He does cry though and it is privately. A bit forlorn, I think. He puts himself to productive action.

28. What is their biggest fear? What in general scares them? How do they act when they’re scared?

Kendis: Loss. If anything were to happen to the ones they have left ... Being controlled. In general, I don't know -- bad hair days? See above for sad. Lmao. Though Kendis is more likely to deal with the cause of the fear. Proactiveness!

Kai: Losing Nat. Mason and Nat being harmed. A loss of his reputation/hard work. In general? IDK but I feel it is something strange. Kids? Lmao. He deals with fear by trying to rationalize things and then, again, being productive.

i saw @/heroofpenamstan doing this and i’ve been missing og kendis/brainrotting twc so. i might do this for my other ocs (probably twc and infamous. maybe fhr) later. but we shall see!!

🥀 [WILTED ROSE] How good is your OC at meeting deadlines? What motivates them?

Extremely good. I’ve said it often that Kendis main (sole, jkjk ... or am I) is stubbornness -- but I don’t think I can fully express how much so. It isn’t even the whole ‘if you looked up the word, you’d find her picture’. If stubbornness had an avatar, it would be Kendis. That is her motivation -- and often supplemented by passion and spite (oh hey, her other personality trait). Dogged and drive is Kendis Crawforod-Louel to a T (to their own deteriment at times ...)

🌹 [ROSE] Does your OC believe in true love? Why?

No. Yes. Not in the traditional soulmate/star-crossed lovers sense. And not in the there can only be one sense. I don’t know how to explain it --like they don’t. BUT they believe you can be soo truly, ardently, unrepentantly devoted to someone(s). That you can love someone(s) with your whole heart that can shift/shape you. And it doesn’t have to solely be romantic.

It’s kind of hard not to with their parents -- whether you mean og Kendis’ parents that are cute as fuck and still sweet on each other years later (even if they sometimes have sex with other people). Or Rebecca for as hurtful as she is one cannot deny she broke irreparably after Rookt tied. Or even her parents in kotsam, where Isabella is a great mom, who has a full life, but there feels like sometimes there is a ghost lurking behind her.

How can one not? Also OG Kendis and TWC Kendis has Austyn in their background and that’s .... yeah. And EXILE Kendis had Syfyn. And yeah.

🍄 [MUSHROOM] How likely is your OC to eat random berries/mushrooms they find?

Unlikely. LMAO. If they’re doing so, it isn’t random, it’s because they know what they’re doing. Most, if not all, versions of Kendis are wilderness trained.

🍂 [AUTUMN LEAVES] Does your OC view piles of dead leaves as a mess or as fun?

Are they a joke to you? Fun!

🌻 [SUNFLOWER] Where would your OC get lost in the moment/beauty of the place?

Forest/woods. There are many places -- because Kendis is like a bear (hehe) in that whole gonna stop and take it in when I’m wowed by something lovely, but that’s usually the most likely.

🌾 [RICE SHEAF] How picky is your OC with food? What will and won't they eat?

Probably not at all??? Kendis is my foodie. They’d try anything at least once.

Probably not hours but they would definitely spend some time. A couple maybe.

Harass the animals -- I mean pet and feed them.

For most Kendis’ it is losing Austyn. For exile Kendis probably losing Syfyn, Tristan, and their family. And maybe that whole purge on the magic folk situation.

🌵 [CACTUS] How physically resilient is your OC?

Highly. Minus the fact that they’re fairly in shape, and most Kendis’ are of of the supernatural variety so pain and endurance process is different than a human, cue the fact that they’re spitefully stubborn. Kendis would put with a lot for what they wanted and then minimize/brush off the aftermath.

🌸 [CHERRY BLOSSOM] Does your OC believe in legends/myths?

Kendis is a skeptical optimist. Not quite the Scully. She’ll believe if she sees it. Or she’s done enough research on it to satisfy herself. But experience (sometimes) guides her. So, a Kendis living with myths and legends would be open to considering new ones.

🌷 [TULIP] What is your OC's favourite flower and colour?

I don’t know they have a favorite FLOWER (I need to ponder) -- but their tend to like pothos plants. Favorite color(s) are fandango pink, shades of purple, gold, and red. There are probably others but off the top of my head ...

Lonley~~ I'm Mx. Lonely~~

Lonely? Kendis has never heard of them. Such a foreign emotion, it does not happen to them.

Sarcastic though I am being, that's genuinely how they act. Though, they've been doing (a bit) better at recognizing and admitting this to themselves (though twc Kendis has a slightly easier time as they don't have as many strong connections as og Kendis and exile Kendis).

Because they dislike admitting to needing / being dependent

They don't really see what reason they have TO BE lonely, because they have so many things to be blessed and grateful about, ya know?

So, loneliness tends to sneak on them and tends to be suffocated with rather than acknowledged. For the most part, Kendis does .. mostly, sorta, heathily deal with it (particularly if she's not expericing burn out from being busy or you know people trying to kill her). She's very active so she jumps into new activities to either occupy her mind and - if in a scenario that allows this you know where they're not in exile - allows her to interact with people.

At times, though, this is more of a bandaid that a dealing with the source of emotions so she continues to feel restless -- and then frustrated. If she realizes that to any varying degree she'll deal with it by reaching out to loved ones (either by being like a needy cat or asking to spend time with them) or meeting to new people. IF SHE DOESN'T, well they'll keep slapping on bandaids and getting frustrated until something gives.

38) What are their dreams like? Do they have any recurring dreams/nightmares?

AG!Kendis: Has weird dreams. They're kind of vivid, kind of symbolic. They tend to be, a lot of times, of things they will not process [for good or for bad]. They tend to have a lot of nightmares surrounding water [funnily bc their elements are more earth/fire -- tho they have a had a few fire nightmares]. Their nightmares also have a lot to do with losing their independence, being abandoned, being seen as more trouble than they're worth. They can get pretty gruesome. They can be very Greek Chorus. Thanks AG.

Exile!Kendis: Doesn't dream much but I think for them their dreams are about processing as well. Particularly the past -- both as a connection to it and the gasps in their memory. Their nightmares are more like being haunted/hunted.

Keeper!Kendis: Probably has the most pleasant dreams of the lot; friends, her mom, Cyrus, making it out of being a Keeper alive, food. But ofc there are the keeperish dreams and the past "memories"-- which suck.

twc!Kendis: I think their dreams are similar to ag Kendis but less symbolism and more straightforward. More dealing with what happened in the past years, as they try to suppress and charge forward when awake. Probably has some pleasant dreams too -- maybe some sexy dreams ;-) Effing Nate.

41) Do they learn from their mistakes?

No. That would involve them admitting they make mistakes.

It really depends. Kendis isn't necessarily a --- track changer. Both unstoppable force and immovable object. But if it gets through that they've really hurt a loved one ... or they cant seem to get around to a goal they want, no matter how full speed ahead, then they can change gears. I wouldn't say it is RARE but it is not frequent.. Certainly not impossible --- just difficult lol.

42) Can they speak multiple languages? If yes which all do they speak and why?

Well, as we know twc mc speaks ALL the languages!! LOL. But they speak English ofc. English, AAVE, Montanan. A bit of French, a dollop of Spanish, and some Haitian Creole. I believe I said another but I cant remember -- it was probs Italian or German.

Thanks for the ask, @thedeadthree! I'm [almost] always down for still doing old asks ... as long as I can find the questions! And these are taken from here.

I shall do Kendis because they're known best and I know them best lmao. I'll probably focus on twc / og Kendis here, unless it's like fantasy stuff where it will be Kendis Lateth [my exile Kendis. Or maybe both if I'm feeling fancy]. Some of these probably fit Keeper Kendis [their style is more colorful than their older versions], but I don't know if I will include them as much --- after all that's TOO many Kendises!!

night: What does your OC wear to sleep? Do they have a favorite pair of PJs, or are they more the birthday suit type?

Kendis loves jimmie jams. I actually did Kendis in a sleepover once for RP, so I definitely have outfits selected. Kendis likes cute and goofy. But they're also a big longish johnish person [probably a lot of plaid in their dresser.] They have favorite styles [see below] but I don't think favorite pair exactly. They tend to prefer shorts, either shirt or pants. I don't see Kendis liking to be TOO overheated [they also run hot]. But definitely not a birthday suit type.

[I feel exile!Kendis has some historical fantasy version of the first. To Vethna's horror. The only time they and Sabir agree is the desire to burn Kendis' sleepwear. Kendis like 'why are you in my undies drawer you weirdos']

informal: What's your OC's lazy-day look? How do they like to dress when they're winding down?

The only similar thing Kendis wears is PANTS. I think I've said Kendis hasn't worn a skirt/dress since they were 7 [the only exception being parent!Kendises for Halloween, per their bitty ones requests]

This girl always over dresses. If you ask Kendis 'Google 👏🏽 Earth 👏🏽 Always 👏🏽 Taking 👏🏽 Pictures 👏🏽.] It is more of a matter of where Kendis is going to say 'normal day'. Our normal day isn't their normal day, because they dress up for work or school or just drinks lmao. It is hard for me to decide a casual Kendis day outfit, I remember I had to once and it was like???

But here are a couple of fits I had selected for 'Kendis running to the library at night to pick up books'

Kendis loves patterns [plaid especially but just shirts with designs, like so <- what i like to call italian uncle who owns a pizza joint/bowling alley chic] and overalls. And 'boss bitch'/'what's wrong with being confident' type looks. They often default afro and hoop earrings. And these picrews have some of my fave 'everday Kendis' looks: here, here, and here. After afro, space buns is one of my most fave looks on them.

formal: What's your OC's formal look? Do they like dressing up? Do they have different looks for different occasions?

Do they like dressing up. DO THEY LIKE DRESSING UP. PLEASE. Um. Yes. Kendis loves any excuse to fashion it up. I don't know if they have different LOOKs for different occasions [it is often a type of suit] but so much of intensity of style varies per occasion.

As stated above, Kendis formal look is usually a suit [one of my fave looks I did on picrew]. But sometimes it's a jumpsuit or a sweater or wte. She loves patterns and colors [as I'm sure is obvious]. Usually floral patterns as well as bold or jewel told colors. They love gold and red. That's their signature.

Kendis really plays around with futch. I've seen they're more androg/masc leaning but they really like their blatantly 'fem' colors and styles.

day: What does your OC wear on a normal day? Why do they default to those clothes? Do they wear similar things, or do they change it up

So, I understand the 'day' question. And put informal lazy-day looks there. But because I don't feel like cping it all here. I'll just reorder the questions.

So this is more day to day Kendis. Like less running out for the groceries and/lounging in la casa fits. And more I'm OUT but not out day fits. Or just out and casually hanging with friends.

It honestly isn't TOO different from the 'informal' looks. Maybe just a touch less casual?

The below though are 'day' fits but like more going some place [though honestly Kendis crosses depending on the vibe of WHERE they are going. The right is definitely more like 'office party at a bar fit' but it's like a 'regular' type fit, even tho more focused on going out.]

outerwear: What's your OC's outerwear situation? Jacket, sweater, cloak? What sort of weather do they deal with most and how do they protect themselves?

I don't think I have outerwear looks for Kendis. Kendis tends to run hot, lmao. I feel Kendis probably a jacket person. Or a short coat. I feel their suit jackets serve enough. I tthink Kendis might like puffy coats, even if they might be a bit of a sauna. Because they're cute!

Like this woudl suffice as a coat! [ofc Kendis would have something beneath this]:

I THINK Kendis Lateth would love one of those short fantasy cloaks.

They're [cute] and unlikely to get in the way! I feel they would wear high enough boots and warm enough pants that it wouldn't be an issue.

footwear: What does your OC wear on their feet?

I was almost like I don't know this question. But that is untrue. Kendis loves heels. And Kendis likes heeled boots.

road: What does your OC wear while traveling? Do they have high-quality equipment, or are they making do? What does their gear look like?

So many questions in this section, I'm tempted to just cut stop answering these. It's not you! I just have such a bad attention span but also feel like i have to finished these in one go.

But alas, we continue!

I think for modern Kendis it is with the informal fits. For the Exile Kendis, obviously it used to be high quality equipment but now they make do. I think KL does what KCL does when they want fancy/fancy looking stuff but can't afford it. They get either from someone lesser known or they get second hand [tho I feel for KL it might be more of a pride issue NOT to get second-hand given the past. Or maybe less pride and more stubbornness.]

I can see something like this or this. Casual but still you know 'elevated', lmao. It also depends WHERE they're on the road to!

I really like this but the pants are kinda TOO full!!

armor: What kind of armor does your OC wear? Is it well kept? Bonus: where does it come from? Is there a story behind it?

The white wolf armor is described in the story. I'm copping out for this one. LMAO.

arms: Does your OC have any weapons? What weapons do they carry, and how do they wear them when they're not fighting?

modern!Kendis will hit you broadside with their bat. There was also once they had to fight in a gladiator sphere [more than once] and Kendis would use like brass-knuckle type weapons. Daggers were another. But I think the preferred for that type of scene was that sorta pickaxe type weapon:

Usually, though, Kendis doesn't like violence. So it's the bats. Better to knock you out than to kill you. Plus bats work great in instill fear and destroying people's property. Kendis can also use a gun but it's not a preference. TWC Kendis a hand gun, of course. OG Kendis more of a shotgun sort.

The exile Kendis: I don't remember which weapons I said they used but it is probably something they can bludgeon people with or daggers. I feel I PROBABLY went with the first bc daggers are more Xhyera's bit.

roots: Is your OC's look inspired by any specific style of clothing or fashion trend? What are the roots and/or inspiration for their look?

Kendis fits are often taken from like baddie and stud looks. They also really like 1940s looks. They probably would shop at a dapper queer store or something. There are others but I blank right now.

texture: Does your OC favor any specific kinds of cloth or textures? Is there anything they can't wear or don't like? What sort of fabrics do they prefer?

I don't think I've ever considered that for Kendis.

wardrobe: How big is your character's wardrobe? Do they wear things threadbare, or can they afford new clothes often? Are they any good at mending and repairing their own clothing?

Pretty big. Kendis is also, they got a well paying job, saved a lot to splurge. They also, as stated above, would shop second-hand. Kendis LOVES shopping and they have an eye for pieces. And it doesn't hurt that they do like vintage. They aren't bad at repairing as needed but that wasn't their strength. Sales and sniffing out affordable stores is.

Yes! They are. I think not counting RP, I have Kendis in at least .... four I think? Sometimes I start an IF with Kendis to like test it out, because I've become so familiar with them. And if I like it, I'll create someone new. Though a couple of times, I created different versions ... or more like used Kendis as a template and they ended up becoming their own character (like Della in Body Count.) Actively, I currently have Kendis in The Exile [Kendis Lateth], TWC [Kendis Crawford-Louel), KOTSAM [Kendis Crawford-Louel, lol], and BG3 [Kendis Wolfcrossing]. Of those .... it is hard to say who is my favorite. Though I've gone back to TWC!Kendis more and I've come to explore more of aspects of Kendis through that. But I have a VERY soft spot for KOTSAM Kendis and her dynamics, lol. In general, I guess of my RP Kendis' my favorites would probably be Kendis Crawford-Gange who was OG Kendis #1 [well, number 2 technically]. And a KCL I played when she was in her early 20s. I liked KCG because she was how I first pictured Kendis: spoiled good [and maybe a touch rotten], stubborn, selfish, fiercely independent but just as loyal, definitely the girl who would help you fix your make up after she held your hair back. KCL: shifted to someone a bit more ... wild, brusque, more likely to judge you while you vomited bc they TOLD you to drink water [but then give you ibuprofen], more likely to help you smash the windows out an exes car then let you cry on their shoulder. But still loyal, stubborn, independent, with a huge but guarded heart [probably more guarded even]. I'm partial to younger KCL just bc she's baby and messier but I also think softer.

I hope they're fluid depending on the source? lol. I feel they are. In honesty, in a sense it's a mix of both. And that feels like a cop out. I mean that in the sense that there are certain traits that are highlighted more depending on the source [like the Exile Kendis is more aggressive and angry - aspects that og!Kendis tries so hard to suppress and, depending on their age, struggles to find a balance for. They also rely on their humor more as a defense mechanism. On the other hand, TWC Kendis can afford to be more openly optimistic and sympathetic. I would say of the Kendis' they - and KOTSAM Kendis - care more. They can afford to be more genuine than Exile Kendis, but as such their defensiveness comes out more prickly. Or like Kendis values independence and loyalty, Kendis is reckless and possessive. How much of each varies in the games but those traits are still there. Detective Kendis is still reckless but she can't be QUITE as rebellious as KOTSAM!Kendis, but it's still there -- but for them it might come out more as gritted sarcasm or throwing the rule book out the door while KOTSAM!Kendis both does and both doesn't have more leeway as the Keeper.] Of course, family background also plays a HUGE impact as much as the background -- but I won't tl;dr about that, lol. I will say there are certain things that must and needs to be around to be viable for Kendis to be Kendis, and if they're not in game, I need the space to be able to headcanon it
