内容:
Rollでは、美術家・中村紋子が38枚の写真によって構成した作品を展示します。20代前半から写真と絵画の制作及び発表を続けてきた中村は、約3年前より東京郊外に活動の拠点となる＜茅スタジオ＞を仲間と構え、自身の制作とそこで出会う様々な人たちとの交流を通して、何の変哲もない日常の美しさをあらためて感じ取っています。前作＜Daylight＞から5年ぶりの発表となる本作「ノート」は、そんな日々の暮らしの中に見る普遍性を淡々と綴った日記のような写真群です。
『私にとって写真作品は、他者へのメッセージとか主張とかではありません。あくまで自分の内面を綴った日記のようなもの。「表現」というと、恣意的に何かを足す感じがするから、そういう意味では表現ですらないかもしれない」 — 中村紋子（インタビューより一部抜粋）

中村紋子が日常へのまなざしを意識的に撮り続けるきっかけとなったドナルド・キーン著『百代の過客』。日常をつづる日記文学という存在を捉え直したドナルド・キーンの視点は、中村の創作に大きな影響を与えました。その視点と創作とのかかわりについて問い、語ります。

写真家であり美術家、イラストレーターでもある中村紋子が生み出す心の生物ノンちゃんと、TAMTAMの楽しい絵たちを合わせて、なんとも可愛い「ブックカバーと栞」をつくりました。たくさんのブックカバーと栞の組み合わせを、日本橋にある「B by the Brooklyn Brewery」にてお楽しみください。ノンちゃんのかわいい絵や、TAMTAMからはなかっちの原画も一緒に展示いたします。

J’ihwu grabbing your throat in his maw and just Not Moving. Like he’s not biting down but you can feel his teeth digging into your neck and it kinda hurts but if you move to relieve the pressure you’ll actually cut yourself on his teeth and you know how he gets around the smell of blood god forbid it’s in his MOUTH he might just end up having to bite down at that point you’re already BLEEDING that’s basically one step away from dying so he might as well put you out of your misery look how merciful he’s being!
