michele diaz (she/her, 58 yrs old as of april 2082) >> once a high-ranking militech officer, but she got demoted after losing shares and stakeholders following the incident with the spaceship elysium. she's set on restoring her status and will do whatever it takes to get the respect she believes she deserves sergei voronin (he/they, 29 yrs old as of april 2082) >> michele's assistant of several years, a similar position as cassidy shaffer used to be in many years ago. went to school with the valentine siblings and used to be part of the friend group that relentlessly bullied aubrey. he gets demoted with michele and once the elysium incident is connected to aubrey, sergei will not rest until the fixer is dead lennox fletcher (she/her, 30 yrs old as of april 2082) >> michele's bodyguard and best friend of sergei and axel. lennox was in the same year as sergei and aubrey and james valentine and she even is james' ex. never had serious beef with aubrey on a personal level but just liked to create problems on purpose. lennox is fired after she resists being moved elsewhere in militech's ranks and is then rehired by michele as freelancer axel shao (he/him, 32 yrs old as of april 2082) >> michele's business partner who also gets demoted after the elysium incident. he was a year above his friends in secondary school but also belonged to the same friend group, and he was mostly in it to feel like he belonged somewhere. now that he's made a name for himself at militech- and is risking to lose it all- he takes a lot more initiative to get valuable information out of aubrey in order to get his position back

💡Gale being a netrunner on a borrowed time since his cyberware is eating himself alive. His fixer (while also being his ex-lover) offered only one solution to his demise; sacrificing his corrupted virtu to temporarily cripple the Blackwall

💡Astarion, once was a big-hit lawyer and disappeared for a decade, re-emerges as one of the left hand for a big name in politic circles. Rumor is this politician used a few trusted of his people to 'house' an important experimental cyberwear to later be taken back and improved…

💡Wyll, son of Mayor Ravengard. While father wishes for him to continue down the politics, Wyll thinks it's more of a direct help to jump down on the streets directly, thus becoming an Edgerunner. Rumor has it he had dealings with people within Militech that granted him techs

💡Shadowheart, One of Arasaka's top agent. Her, being under Arasaka's teachings and guidance has little to none care for her selfish needs--that is until she was disconnected from their mainframe. Tasting the freedom and truth of her past, SH wanted to uncover all of it

💡Laezel was trained, Sponsored and backed by the Militech, she aimed to be the strongest living weapon of all times. Though, things didn't go smoothly once her implant was caught malfunctioned. She aim to regain control of her might, and refrains from being thrown away by the megacorp

💡Karla was a bodyguard of an NC political figure, then was betrayed and sold to a megacorp as a subject of experiment, and eventually broke out from there. The tech she gained DID enhance her abilities, but at the cost of it overheating and eventually gave her health problems

💡Mira's family had been loyal to Arasaka for decades, she had also fell into the corporation hole. Until everything fell apart, Arasaka revoked everything and her family ruined by the megacorp, she sought other ways of survival and making her own name in Night City.

This is my OC, Roy, a member of TaxMax/Cyber Squad. A bit nervous and aggressive pal, but a sweetpea at heart. The guy in the suit is my friend's OC Ozz, an ex-MiliTech employee, also now a partner in crime/adventure. Aaaan I just discovered isometric rooms, so I'm completely out of it.

so I started playing cyberpunk a few days ago and last night I bolted upright in bed like I'd been hit by lightning with the query: how well would harry and kim do in night city??????

FIRST OF ALL. first ask of 2024 and best ask of all time thank you legend

second of all. ok hold on backstory loading

i think harry would start out as a wannabe rockerboy who played in a shitty-yet-earnest band on the equally shitty-yet-earnest local music scene until dora talked him into quitting and joining the NCPD... 10 years later he goes on a wild cyberpsychosis bender and wakes up in a ripperdoc chair with no memory of who he is or what happened to him. the guy who saves his life is KIM KITSURAGI. a disillusioned ex-corpo who worked on neural link vehicles for militech. nowadays he runs a little clinic in pacifica by the sea

harry is like "i am a miserable husk of a man with no memories and no money how can i repay you" and kim is like. "hmm. you could help me solve the mysterious disappearance of my best friend and coworker who vanished after voicing concerns about the project we were working on"

thus begins the du bois-kitsuragi dynamic duo private detective agency... they solve the convoluted cold cases nobody else will touch. rogue hates them but still hires them. night city loves them

some other facts i just made up:

johnny silverhand is cp2077 harry's contact mike. at some point kim is like "detective... why is there a framed poster of a terrorist opposite your bed" and harry is like

[ELECTROCHEMISTRY] Tell him you jerk off looking at it, in a gay way.

[AUTHORITY] Tell him you jerk off looking at it, but not in a gay way.

[DRAMA - Impossible] "I don't know who that is."

cuno is a """fixer""" and runs a flourishing child crime empire in dogtown. he sends other 12 year olds (and harry) to do his bidding

kim would drive a custom quadra type-66 and listen to earsplitting experimental maelstrom techno on RADIO PEBKAC (he also has a black arch nazare motorbike, which previously belonged to eyes). he is infamous on the local street racing scene for a) driving like a maniac and b) never getting caught

harry would drive a wheezing, decrepit thorton galena he found abandoned under a bridge with no wheels & the keys still in the ignition. he listens to old school tapes of oldies rock he buys from random market stalls as well as body heat radio, despite kim's best efforts

black dog is the song harry puts on when he wants to be alone and listen to shivers warn him about the fate of night city

kim feeds a small group of charmingly ugly hairless cats that hang around outside the clinic... they like to wind around harry's ankles and trip him up ❤️

FAMILY HISTORY

MOTHER: Diana Soto – alive, estranged

FATHER: Mario Soto – alive, estranged

Both of her parents were regular blue-collar workers, her mother is a machinist, and her father a welder. They had met in passing as she was dropping off parts at the mechanic shop he was working at and quickly fell in love, getting married and having Verena not long after.

Her relationship with them was always strained as they were both very closed off with their emotions with her. Because of that and being an only child, she never communicated with them well, eventually closing herself off to them completely.

CHILDHOOD - TEENS

2056 - At the age of 7 the standardized tests given to students flagged her as having an aptitude for netrunning so she was placed in an exclusive boarding school in Charter Hill as part of a special outreach program sponsored by Night Corp. She excelled at her studies but struggled to make friends as most of her peers were the children of corpos. She spent summers back at home with her parents and seeing the difference in the quality of life had an effect on her, jading her to NC as she aged. Her parents were ecstatic at the thought of their child having a better life than them, so failure became something that was severely punished.

2060 - By the time she was in middle school she had a small but close-knit group of friends, both from corps backgrounds and backgrounds like her. She was fiercely protective of them and got in multiple fights defending them from the same bullying she had received.

2064 - When not studying she became very interested in edgerunning, specifically solos, but rockerboy culture as well. She liked the inherent rebellion they represented and wished she could do the same. But she knew that she would disappoint her parents if she strayed from the path she was on. She would listen to records and read about the legends of NC under her blankets at night.

2065 - At 16 she was chipped with her professional ports, she viewed them as the final seal in the life that she was going to live, like it or not. As an act of rebellion, she shaved her head and got multiple ear piercings. She was reprimanded by the school, an action that brought her parent's fists down on her as well. During the summer she would often sneak into clubs and bars to get away from her home environment.

2067 - She graduated with high enough grades that she was able to attend NCU on a full ride where she majored in Cybersecurity with a focus on Offensive Hacking. She looks back on her time there fondly as she met more like-minded people, many of whom pushed her to express herself more. She joined a small band as a guitarist. Eventually entering a relationship with the bassist – Sara. It was a very toxic relationship and they both treated each other like shit. V’s generally guarded nature closed her off the deeper in the relationship she got.

20’S

2070 - The unification war caused the university to push its students through faster, so she graduated a year early and immediately started looking for a job, not wanting to disappoint her parents.

July 2070 - With Arasaka now back in Night City they were doing massive hiring and V managed to get her foot in the door in the Counter Intelligence Division – Branch 3.

August 2070 - After an internal incident her bosses found her to be adept at espionage (both traditional and corporate), so they sent her to do black ops work with a small crew in South America for approximately a year and a half. During this time, she honed her skill with a pistol.

October 2072 - leaves to spend 11 months in Rio De Janeiro tracking a “terrorist” cell. Her team eventually took out the group after she was captured on a solo reconnaissance mission and interrogated/tortured for over a week.

September 2073 - Rio traumatized her and she crawled into herself and didn’t want to return to work so Arasaka wanted to drop her, Jenkins saw her skills as exploitable and invited her to stay in office. During this time, she became estranged from her parents.

June 2074 - Meets Jackie at the Mexican border, he saves her ass by helping her extract an agent.

July 2076 - Moves into the Wells household.

Mid-January 2077 - Konpeki Plaza Heist

End of May 2077 - I, Pre Defined Starts

think it's about time i explained who tf he is and why i'm always sad about him so here are a few fun facts about the boi!:

saw his parents get brutaly unalived by Arasaka aged 16 and had to delta the fuck outta there with a toddler sister in his arms

got stranded in the desert outside Night City with nothing to his name but dad's old jacket, enough eddies to buy like one burger and a hungry child to care for

came across some Nomads (the Bakkers) and for a year or two Selita Bakker took the babes under her wing (then she fucken died and he had to leave again)

was forced into a life of crime just to make sure his sis didn't starve

he'd disappear for days or weeks doing gig after gig while Jaxine stayed with Mama Welles, Padre, Dr. Vik or Mama Fabienne (a kind-hearted haitian proprietress of The Birdhouse, an orphanage set up in the ruins of a small theatre tucked away somewhere between Dogtown and GIM) more about her sometime later

because of that Jax basically raised herself and Alek forever hated himself for not being there for her when she needed him most

he called her Jacket all the time and only used her name when she done fucked up and needed an ass woopin' (she was a hooligan who'd get locked up on possession charges aged 14...)

the nickname came from the fact that after they became orphans Jax would only ever shut up and stop crying while swaddled into her dad's giant jacket; she'd even wobble around like a penguin wearing it like a giant ass cape. and so it stuck. Jacket (sometimes it was JJ when Alek was in a hurry)

back in the world of edgerunning he was known as Vulture or V for short. his selling pitch was "got a bone to pick with somebody? Vulture's your man!"

as a side job he also ran an indie rock group "The Vultures". music helped him cope with day-to-day traumatic shit he had to endure. it's through the showbiz that he met Kerry Eurodyne and developed a hopeless crush on the celeb. feelings were mutual AF but both gonks were too shy to say anything. Kerry would only find out about it some years later from his sis when she became a walking floppy disk for Johnny_Silverhand.exe

at some point he utterly peaked in the merc world. every dog at the Afterlife knew his face and everybody wanted to work with him. even Rogue at some point advertised him to her clients as "the" man to do the job

at the pinnacle of his career Alek chipped in some mean mantis blades, top of the line Kiroshis, a Militech-made Sandevistan and a gazillion more enhancements that made him a fucken beast to be reckoned with. he also trained relentlessly and folks even mistook him for an ex-military, even though everything he knew was self-taught. he never stopped improving his body and mind and because of this (or maybe inspite of this?) he started showing the first symptoms of cyberpsychosis sometime around 2070. despite that, he'd keep his illness under control up until his death in 2074

it was also around this time that he klepped a pristine Type-66 Avenger off some corpo rat. he took the beaut to the Nomads to have it juiced up and after some work the wheels came out black as midnight, equipped with CrystalDome tech, guns upon guns, meanest freaking engine and tyres that could cling to walls if need be. don't ask how many people died staring down that bumper approaching them head-on at supersonic speeds, cause the answer is too many. Jax always felt like he loved that damned car more than her sometimes... and whenever she asked to take the beastie for a spin he'd always reply "over my dead body". who knew fucker meant it literally?!

Alek lied to Jaxine her whole life in a desperate bid to protect her from literally the entire world. the story of how they became orphans, what he did as a job, where he went off to for days on end... girl grew up knowing nothing about real Alek. only years later when with the help of a mutual friend she discovers his secret pad in the Glen that she'd start to piece together who he really was

Alek was afraid of his illness taking away his memory, so he scrolled damn near everything. birthday parties, hangouts at the shooting range, hikes into the badlands... every more or less important moment with Jaxie got recorded onto a BD shard and tucked away like a precious little slice of life that he was losing alongside his self-destructing neural links. later, Jaxie would spend hours rolling them over and over again, reliving the life that Arasaka took from them

throughout his career Alek's sole purpose in life (besides keeping his lil' sis alive) was revenge on Arasaka. specifically, he wanted to end Saburo himself with his own hands. any gig that involved messing with 'Saka or allowed him to gather crucial info was an automatic green light for him

he knew his dad didn't die in the assault and suspected he was Soulkilled like many other enemies of the corp (old man did in fact manage a anti-corpo group of vigilantes for like a decade before getting ratted out by somebody). at some point while on a gig to steal some 'Saka intel he got a hold of his dad's engram's copy. not like the Relic which would delete your personality, but the old gen - one that you plug in and talk to like your average hologram. of course, Alek never told Jax that he had their dead father on a shard slotted into his head at all times... and old man Bryce didn't want to traumatize his junior kid even further, either

dad wholeheartedly supported his son's mission to topple Arasaka, which was probably a bad idea... because history tends to repeat itself and eventually 'Saka discovered Alek's true identity and connected numerous crimes against them back to him. Adam Smasher was on his way to smash Alek...

too late did Alek realize that he done fucked up. he got all the crucial info locked away in his pad, the keys from it he left in his wheels and send that mf off into the sunset with a trusted fella. he recorded a sordid confession for Jaxie with a shitton of i'm-sorry's and i-love-you's and sent her away by... lying, again. he told her some drug dealers where coming to collect their due and he wanted her out of danger while he dealt with them. but the metal man Smasher showed up and the epic fight ensued. Alek knew he had no chance but he wasn't gonna make it easy for the dickwipe that zeroed his fam. the least he could do is hurt the bitch. and so as Jaxie was speeding away on Alek's bike - explosion. both Alek and his digitized dad were gone for good. Jaxie was left to fend for herself, not knowing that 'Saka now knew that they didn't wipe all of the Bryces and were looking for the one that got away

eventually she'd learn the whole tragic ass truth. and despite Alek's last wish for Jaxine to leave 'Saka be and just live her life, she made it her life goal to avenge her family. somehow, someway. one Johnny Silverhand would later come in extremely handy in this quest of hers

even though his life was hard and short, he did try to live to the fullest. he put his heart and soul into his music, he tried his damned best to show Jaxine that he loved her, and he looked out for his friends. Rogue would describe him as "the good villain" - a guy who despite having bloodied hands that never dried, always tried to do well by others. there was a short time when he was considered the deadliest motherfucker in town the mention of whose name sent shivers down gangoons' spines. and then he, like many before him and after, died

so if ya wanna honor the legendary Vulture whose flight was cut short, come down to the Afterlife and ask Claire for a shot of The Vulture: Armagnac Massy on the rocks with a splash of Cirrus Cola and a mint garnish. expensive, you say? if you knew him, you'd know he was worth every ennie

First meeting

“You Silverhand?”

Johnny chuckles, and raises an eyebrow “You’re fucking astute.” He saunters up to the young woman and gives her a look over. The military grade Netrunner suit is a dead giveaway she isn’t some random gonk off the streets. “Didn’t know Rogue was hiring a corpo shithead to tag along.” He lights a cigarette and takes a drag, making sure to blow the smoke in her face.

“Ex corpo shithead, besides I wouldn’t miss a chance to hit arasaka where it hurts.” She leans against the terrace wall and takes a drag of her own cigarette. Johnny hums,

“Disgruntled ex employee?”

She scoffs, “Of Arasaka? Fuck no, Militech.”

Militech? Interesting, “Personal vendetta?” He meanders over towards the walled garden, settling right next to her making sure to invade the Netrunner’s personal space. Instead of shrinking away she turns to face him.

“You could say that…” She trails off. Her green eyes peer into his dark shades, his lips curl into a grin. “So, what’s your name?”

“V.”

“…V? Who do you think you are, Prince?” V chuckles a bit, she drops her cigarette and crushes it under her boot. Johnny takes a drag before following suit “Come on, stop tugging my dick. Name.”

The sudden approach of an AV signals it’s go time. Shaitan opens the door as Rogue motions for the pair to come on board. V walks ahead, she turns to face Johnny, “Maybe after this gig I can tug on you some more, who knows? Maybe I’ll even tell you my name.”

▶ Hansen

Hansen full name is Kurt Hansen.

Hansen is the current ruler of Dogtown and leader of the Barghest

He is a mix between a Tyrant, a Protector, but first and foremost a Businessman.

▶ Barghest

The Barghest are part gang, part military unit.

Initially formed by veterans of the Unification War, different gangers and marauders joined later.

They all respect Kurt (Hansen) as their Boss

▶ DogTown

The inspiration for DogTown and its characters comes from South American's drug lords.

Dogtown was known as the "Combat Zone" before Hansen renamed it.

Just like Pacifica, Dogtown was supposed to be a paradise of entertainment before the war interrupted all development.

Being free of Corpo and Taxes, Dogtown act as a big black market and free trade zone.

Trauma Team doesn't come to DogTown and certain areas of the district are extremly dangerous.

▶ Myers

Ex-CEO of Militech, President Myers is a former Marine and Soldier.

Despite being a badass and smart politician, she's also Human and will let her emotions show, making her a complex and interesting character.

▶ Militech Chimera

The big mechanical beast that we see waking up is a Militech Chimera.

Just like the Basilisk, it is part of old Militech equipment that was left behind after the Unification War.

Hinted as a big boss during the expansion!

▶ Solomon Reed

One of the most important character in the story.

A Master Spy working for the NUSA for many years.

Became a sleeper agent around seven years ago.

Just like Myers, Reed is a complex character; his different loyalties will clash during the course of Phantom Liberty.

▶ Songbird

The third most important character after V and Reed.

Really similar to V, so similar even that they could've switched roles in another universe.

She's complex and layered, making her a Divisive character; players will love her or hate her.

Cyberpunk 2.0 but no PL Spoilers here:

Soooo, since cosmetic mods work, i started a new game with, well, ex Corpo Lexa.

I know, i know, sounds weird (allthough she always had a Militech background), but i had the idea to make a different AU, where Lexa is actually V for a long time now, which i might be a little obsessed about. Especially about Johnny's and her dynamic through that time.

But her personality is basically the same and she will end up with Maelstrom. And that will also happen during Cyberpunk's story. Also i'm kinda looking forward to put Johnny through the horror of being in her head during her Maelstrom initiation (sorry Johnny).

The very weird part about corpo Lexa might be, that she's a Netrunner, simply because that's the only gameplay style i like and i suck at every other. Unfortunately for her, especially in melee combat. But don't worry, she of course will get her beloved Mantis Blades sometime.

But i have to say, i enjoy just playing the vanilla game (we're not counting her cosmetics here) very much. More than i thought tbh. I love starting all over, running from every little side mission to the next and just enjoy Night City during "normal" gameplay again.

Of course i already miss the usual VP very much (and also clothes!) and i still have some older photos to share, but for now i simply enjoy the game.
