The U.S. Department of Treasury’s gift to electric-vehicle shoppers (and global automakers) for the new year was to make many more EVs and plug-in hybrids eligible for the federal tax subsidy of up to $7,500 — including vehicles built outside North America — as long as drivers lease them or buy used rather than buy new.
EV credits and [rules] took effect Jan. 1.
One category extends the former credit of up to $7,500 for consumers buying new EVs and PHEVs, but it puts new limits on vehicle price and buyer income and will soon add requirements for the sourcing of EV batteries and materials. Additionally, since August [2022], it has required that the vehicles be assembled in North America.
A second is a new credit of up to $4,000 for buyers of used EVs.
A third is a “commercial” credit for businesses acquiring EVs. It offers up to $7,500 for light-duty vehicles (under 14,000 pounds) and up to $40,000 for heavier vehicles. Significantly, the commercial credit does not have the origin, price or other restrictions of the credit for consumer buyers.
On top of all that, the Department of Treasury guidance released at the end of December allows the less restrictive commercial credit to also apply to vehicles leased by consumers; that means most plug-in and fuel-cell EVs currently on the market can qualify, including those built in Europe or Asia. The credit goes to the leasing company — the vehicle owner — but it can be passed to the consumer in the form of lower lease payments.
The new federal rules do not affect state and local subsidies available for EV buyers [which may be able to get you even more savings].

Bandai Japan Launches Tamagotchi Remix
Remix! What is exactly is this? Well there’s no definition technically so we are going to sum it up. It appears that Bandai Japan is releasing a page on their website titled “Tamagotchi Remix” which is focused around the unique Tamagotchi personality and brand being mixed into other areas of society. Taking Tamagotchi out of the toy. The page features news which currently features three remixes.
The first remix is about a new music video from new wave techno pop band LAUSBUBxBose (Schataraper) that is set to be released on November 22nd, 2022, which is on the eve of Tamagotchi’s 26th anniversary! There is a teaser image released which appears to show several Tamagotchi Smart’s in a recording studio, so we’re going to assume the sounds of the Tamagotchi Smart will be featured in the songs long with the actual Tamagotchi Smart in the video.
The second remix is that Tamagotchi will be featured on Tokyo FM/JFN’s School of Lock! talk radio show that is broadcasted nationwide in Japan. The popular commercial radio networks School of Lock! show features guests each episode and unique topics daily from 22:00 to 23:55. The broadcast will begin on Monday, November 21st, 2022 and run through Thursday, November 24th, 2022. They’ll feature a 2 minute review of the history and modern era of Tamagotchi.
Last but not least, the third remix is all about fashion! We reported on this news last week, and we’re still super excited! Bandai Namco Europe has partnered up with Max&Co. to deliver a Tamagotchi line of clothing for the Spring-Summer 2023 line that is scheduled to be released on Monday, November 28th, 2022. Bandai Japan is nicknaming the collection “Tamagotchi in Paris” which is interesting because Max&Co. is nicknaming the collection “90’s in a capsule”. Bandai Japan notes that the collection is scheduled to be sold both in store and online all over the world excluding North America and South America.
We’ll thats the first installment of Tamagotchi remix! We suspect additional remixes might be added as Bandai focuses on bringing the Tamagotchi brand outside of the toy, and we’re really excited about that! We’ll keep you updated as these remixes are released!

Funny her location changes back to the USA and there’s also a flight from Cologne to his regular airfield that landed yesterday (sunday)
Anne found the flight, so yeah, there was one from Cologne to Bedford on the 18th, and we talked about the possibility of this dude being the same rich German dude who flew from Bedford to Hamburg.
I don't think that flight was hers. Just like Anne said, it seems like that random rich German dude went to different places in Europe and the same flight went back to Cologne in 20 hours, which I doubt would've happened if it was her.
I also doubt she would fly private, and I'm 100% sure Chris wouldn't pay for one for her. We all remember them flying commercial after New Year's Eve. Her location also wouldn't have changed that fast to the US.
I have my own theory, which is that she knows about us tracking flights; we all know they lurk here. What if she saw the flight and took the opportunity to troll? What if she was one step ahead of us? 🤔😂
I don't know. But this whole thing is weird. But we will see what's been going on.

Halloween 2022 marathon: 11-12
Onibaba (dir. Kaneto Shindo, 1964)
In war-torn fourteenth-century Japan, a pair of peasants-- a young woman and her mother-in-law-- stave off starvation by looting samurai corpses for armor and weapons to sell. A male neighbor named Hachi returns from the war, informing the duo that the older woman’s son perished in battle. The mother-in-law suspects Hachi might have killed her son, and her dislike of him grows to all-consuming hatred when he seduces her widowed daughter-in-law. Afraid of being left alone should the lovers elope, the older woman resorts to ever desperate measures to keep them apart.
Onibaba is a sneaky film. When it starts, it plays out like a simple drama between these three characters. I was enjoying it, but I wondered if the common horror movie label people put on it was justified. Then we get to the halfway point-- and things get CREEPY. I was on edge at that point and the final scene gave me chills.
I was reminded a bit of Hereditary in that the scariest thing in the movie is the sheer enmity exuded by the mortal human characters, rather than the supernatural elements. Even in the less “genre” early scenes, you have the sneaking suspicion that this story will end badly. The two women are desperate people, driven to borderline madness by their bad situation. Everyone's motives are understandable enough to where you get why they’re doing what they do while still recoiling from them. The older woman wants to survive and is bitter about how the war has cheated her of her child and her stable life. The young widow is lonely and stifling under her mother-in-law’s domination.
The cherry on top is the gorgeous cinematography, a stark black and white look that makes this setting seem all the harsher. It’s movies like this that make me wish black-and-white was still seen as a commercially viable option for mainstream movies. Black and white can add so much atmosphere to a movie-- I cannot imagine this story having the same impact in color.
Svengali (dir. Archie Mayo, 1931)
Sinister musical genius Svengali marvels at the potential of the beautiful young Trilby, a tone-deaf but promising artist’s model with a remarkably shaped mouth. She has no real interest in music and is preoccupied with her romance with a boring bland typical 30s horror romantic lead innocent artist Billie, but luckily for Svengali, he has hypnotic powers which render Trilby helpless to do anything but obey his will. She marries him and becomes opera sensation La Svengali, touring Europe to great acclaim. Svengali is rolling in money and prestige, but he comes to find he cannot command Trilby’s love and this leads to their mutual downfall.
I last saw this movie around 2011-2012-ish. I remember liking it, mainly for the expressionistic sets and John Barrymore’s multi-faceted performance as the titular villain. Barrymore insisted on having Svengali be funny and charming in his first scenes, so that when his more sinister side reveals itself, the audience has a far more complicated reaction. And it works!
Svengali himself has all kinds of dimensions as a character-- he’s a bit like Erik in The Phantom of the Opera (actually, this movie’s source novel was allegedly an inspiration when Gaston Leroux wrote Phantom) in that he’s both sinister and pitiable. He’s monstrous enough to send a former lover to her death when he becomes tired of her and to manipulate Trilby into becoming his personal singing puppet, but he draws the line at forcing Trilby to “love” him, keeping their marriage unconsummated despite his desire. Even when he could hypnotize her to give herself to him, he refuses it, showing he does have some decency in spite of everything.
I can’t comment on this film without mentioning Marian Marsh as Trilby. Marsh is so, so cute-- I have no other words to describe her. A lot of horror heroines from this period tend to be simple ingenue types, but Marsh’s Trilby is a standout. She’s charming, un-self-conscious, and sweet, and seems to have a joke for every occasion. She’s so likeable that it becomes hard to watch the way her identity is eroded by Svengali’s influence.
I’m not even sure you could really call this 100% horror, though the visuals and Svengali’s supernatural powers fit the genre. The spooky standout is a technically brilliant sequence in which Svengali mentally summons Trilby and the camera moves from a close-up of Svengali to outside his apartment, then over the rooftops and into Trilby’s bedroom. Considering the stereotype of the immobile camera of the early talkie period, this sequence is a stunner.
It’s a weird, haunting movie all around, a chilling gem of pre-code cinema. It’s in the public domain as far as I can tell, so it’s easy enough to find if you’re interested.

Brian Connolly, lead singer with glam rock band The Sweet was born on October 5th 1945 in Govanhill.
Usually my disclaimers about dates and birthplace are for more historical posts but sometimes they throw ones like this at me, so the dates are either 45 or 49, some sources say he was born in Govanhill others tell me 20 odd miles away in Hamilton.
His mother was a teenage waitress, Frances Connolly, who left him in a Glasgow hospital as an infant whilst he was possibly suffering from meningitis. The identity of his father was never made public he was in care until he was two, when he was fostered by Jim and Helen McManus of Blantyre, South Lanarkshire who already had three born-to children. Brian was given the name McManus which he used until he was 18, when he discovered that he was adopted and changed his surname to his mother´s, Connolly.
In a radio interview, Connolly reported that singing was a large part of growing up since there was no television, and that he was regularly called upon to sing for family and friends. Connolly has credited the Everly Brothers as being his earliest musical influence.
At the age of twelve the family moved to Harefield, Greater London, where he attended the local Secondary Modern school. In his mid-teens he joined the Merchant Navy.
On his discharge from the Merchant Navy in 1963 he returned to Harefield and played in a number of local bands, including Generation X, from mid-1965 until about October 1966. The group recorded four tracks but these were not commercially released. The lineup featured Connolly on vocals, Chris Eldridge and Lee Mordecai on guitars, Mark Conway (bass) and drummer Martin Lass. Connolly eventually replaced singer Ian Gillan (later of Deep Purple fame) in a band called Wainwright’s Gentlemen, which included drummer Mick Tucker. Tucker and Connolly left Wainwright’s Gentlemen in late 1967 and recruited guitarist Frank Torpey, and bassist Steve Priest, naming their new band The Sweetshop.
On the eve of releasing their debut single, Slow Motion, in July 1968, the band shortened their name to The Sweet. They recorded a further three unsuccessful singles; Andy Scott joined the line-up in late 1970, just before the release of their first hit single “Funny, Funny”
Their second single “Co Co” reached number 2 on the charts and they released the albums Gimmee Dat Ding, Sweet Fanny Adams and Desolation Boulevard followed.
The Sweet had 15 top 40 hits between 1971 and 1978, including the aptly named number one Blockbuster! As well as that The Sweet reached number one with various songs all over Europe, two number ones in Australia and a handful of hits in the U.S.
Connolly announced that he had left the group in 1979. He pursued a solo career to get into country music, released the album “Let’s Go”, which was only semi successful.
During January 1997 Connolly had another heart attack and he was hospitalised in Slough, he discharged himself after a week but was readmitted before the fortnight was up. This time there was little more that could be done. Connolly died late on the evening on 9 February 1997, from renal failure, liver failure and repeated heart attacks, attributed to his previous chronic alcoholism. Connolly was 51 years old.
A wee add on is that numerous sources have asserted that he was a half-brother of the late Taggart actor Mark McManus I must admit I have said this in previous posts, but I did further research and this is not the case. The confusion lies in the fact that his foster brother was named Mark, but there was also a cousin named Mark McManus - who grew up to become the actor who played Taggart in the Glasgow television police detective series.

Punch, Drunk, Love: The Story of Ayan & Noah
It was on the day of her 18th birthday that Somalia born Ayan Samira Abdul would be discovered by american photographer Alex Ritts while walking down the streets of Paris, France. It was only a day later, a mere two hours after phoning her parents back home in Egypt where her family moved when she was 8 years old, that she had become an orphan. Her parents, a diplomat and a retired teacher respectively, had been killed in a car accident. There’s nothing like getting both the best and worst news of your life within a 24 hour timespan to completely change a person forever. In a matter of two weeks, Ayan would bury her parents and move across the globe to New York City. She decided that if she were to survive & thrive, the best thing she could do is assimilate as much as possible while keeping her Somali accent. She even went to the extreme of dropping her muslim faith and name, going simply by Ayan. She knew her accent would make her appear more exotic than African American women to all of those white photographers, agents, & designers, which in turn would keep her booked, busy, & paid. If she was going to be fetishized, it would be on her terms.
Ayan ended up being correct in her assessment. Within her first month of living in NYC, she was featured in Vogue. Within a year’s time, she became the muse of many prominent designers including Gianni Versace, Donna Karen, Calvin Klein, Yves Saint Laurent, and Thierry Mugler. If there was a fashion magazine, Ayan would be on the cover. Commercial print work? Ayan was always the token, black hire. Love interest in a music video? If a white woman wasn’t getting the job, she was. She was on top of the world & soon she’d be head over heels in love too.
It started off as a tryst in one of the bathroom’s of Paisley Park while Prince was playing Gett Off with the New Power Generation in the summer of 1991. Ayan was high from snorting a line of cocaine with her model friends. Her lover, known to the world as one word: Bowie, was drunk and sweaty after having ten shots of vodka straight. One minute they were dancing together, the next, Ayan was pushed against a wall while Bowie had two long fingers stroking her deep in her pussy while her dress was hiked up to her slim waist. Eventually they stumbled into a bathroom where they had sex: hard, fast & passionate. What Ayan thought would be a one night stand with a rockstar would turn into much more.
Bowie was a white passing creole born & raised in the city of New Orleans. He was raised in Uptown where he would attend a catholic private school until he graduated from ED White High School with honors. At 18, he decided to backpack across Europe, and it was during this time that he would form the band known today as Ziggy Stardust after a spontaneous jam session with a random group of men at a pub in Germany.
The morning after Ayan & Noah’s first night together was filled with a hearty breakfast cooked by her lover, who’s real name she’d learned was Noah Heath Duplessis, and ended with a sweet kiss that left Noah begging & pleading for more. Within 6 weeks, Ayan and Noah would be engaged. Three months after that, on September 7, 1991, Ayan had married every white girl in America's dream man in the city that started it all for her, Paris, France.
The first two years of their marriage was a high….. literally. Ayan decided to travel with her rockstar beau as he toured the world with his band. While Noah worked with a sober mind during the day, once show time came, everything would become a drugged filled, sex pit of a wild party. She was living the life as a rockstar’s wife, and unapologetically so. It wasn’t until she was nearly sexually assaulted by Bill Cosby at a New Year’s Eve party in 1992 that Ayan & Noah would have a wakeup call & get sober. Their timing couldn’t be more perfect, because on March 30, 1993, they found out they were having a baby.
“I think we should retire, habibi.” Ayan spoke softly as she lay in her husband’s arms. They had only just finished having celebratory sex in their NYC highrise love nest. They couldn’t be more excited about the fact that their love for each other had been expressed in physical form through a child. The two of them were still panting and sweating from the physical exertion their love making always entailed as Ayan spoke.
“Retire? As in….” Noah asked.
“As in I quit modeling & you leave your band.”
“Where is this coming from, chérie?”
“Hollywood is too toxic of an environment to raise a family in. I want to give our child as normal of a life as possible.” Ayan said as she softly rubbed circles onto Noah’s naked chest. “Let’s leave it all behind and raise our family in New Orleans. Hell, I’ll even convert to catholicism.”
Noah let out a hearty laugh. “Converting to a new religion is a bit extreme don’t you think?” He said before kissing Ayan’s forehead. “Besides, I’m only a practicing catholic during Mardi Gras & Lent.”
“When have I ever not been extreme, Noah?” Ayan deadpanned.
“You’ve got a point there, baby.” Noah said with a chuckle.
A peaceful silence fell over the two as they continued to lay on their California king sized bed. The lights of the neighboring highrises twinkling through their bedroom window, casting a blue glow on their skin.
Finally Noah gave his answer. “If this is really what you want, then let’s do it. We can lay down some roots at my house in the Garden District. Let’s give our daughter a normal childhood.”
“Excuse me,” Ayan spoke with an attitude as she lifted her head off of Noah’s chest. “How do you know I’m not carrying a baby boy in my womb? I could be pregnant with a warrior prince for all you know.”
“I think you’re pregnant with a warrior alright, but our cher bébé is a little princess. I’m certain of it.” Noah said matter of factly.
“I tell you what, if it’s a girl, I’ll let you name her.”
“Great, Angèle Duplessis it’ll be then.”
“You already have a name ready to go?!” Ayan said in surprise.
“It was my great grandmother’s name, the first of our family tree to be born free from slavery.” Noah said softly.
“Shit, I can’t even make fun of the name now. You would have some deep reason for it. You always have to be all “power to the people” because you look like a white man.”
There was a pregnant pause before Ayan let out a shriek of surprise. Noah had given her three harsh slaps on her ass in retaliation against what Ayan said. “Hey, I’m pregnant now you rajul fazie! No more kinky shit for the next 8 months!”
“No kinky shit? You won’t be saying that in the next 5 minutes, my sweet.” Noah said huskily, his eyes glazed over in lust. He flipped the two of them over and quickly went to work on top of her.
On November 17, 1993, 6 months after moving to New Orleans, Angèle Lianne Duplessis was born. Ayan quickly adjusted to Louisiana living, & true to her word, converted to catholicism. Four years after giving birth to Angèle, the couple welcomed another baby girl they named Tyla Giselle Duplessis.
As far as their careers are concerned, Ayan and Noah were both able to rebrand rather successfully as a wholesome, family oriented couple who found success as entrepreneurs. Ayan got inspired during her pregnancy with Angèle to create her own makeup line after years of having to make her own mix of foundation with makeup artists to match her skin tone during her modeling career. Ayan Cosmetics would be a huge success and by 1996 the company was worth $300 million dollars, which was unprecedented for the time. As for Noah, he created his own brand of guitars he named after his stage name, Bowie. Eventually the company expanded to over 15 different instruments. The most expensive instrument he ever sold? A custom made Bowie piano made of solid rose gold and acrylic for $300,000. In the present, the couple are worth a staggering $1.8 billion together. Suffice to say, Ayan did exactly what she set out to do on the fateful day her parents died.

Weapons for Democracy: Operation Nickel Grass
Diego Alves By Diego Alves 07/31/2022 - 21:00 in History, War Zones
On October 6, 1973, a coalition of Arab states launched what would now be called "a Special Operation to demilitarize Israel". Heavily equipped with Soviet weapons on the eve of the war, Egypt and Syria significantly surpassed Israel in its military potential.
Given Israel's vulnerability, U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger provided emergency military technical assistance, which included ammunition and AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles that Israel urgently needed.
However, the condition was for automatic delivery - the cargo had to be withdrawn from the United States by the Israeli airline El Al. The volume and nomenclature of these supplies did not even come close to the flow of weapons that constantly flowed from the Soviet Union to Egypt and Syria. Public opinion in the United States and Western Europe was pacifist: "Let the Arabs and Jews sit at the negotiating table, find a solution...". Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir described the essence of the situation very well: "We want to live. Our enemies want to kill us. This doesn't leave much room for negotiation..."
President Nixon ordered more than one hundred F-4 Phantom II fighters to be supplied immediately to Israel.
On October 9, Golda Meir officially asked for military help. The Western European countries refused to provide it. However, U.S. President Richard Nixon responded by ordering an operation codenamed Nickel Grass. The reason for this decision was the refusal of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat to ceasefire.
On October 10, the first shipments were sent to their destination. Initially, only El Al aircraft carried out the transport. However, passenger planes, hastily reconfigured, could not carry much cargo. The U.S. government had approached commercial airlines, but none of them manifested themselves, fearing future problems in the Arab world. Finally, on October 12, President Nixon decided that there were no more delays and ordered the U.S. Air Force to "send everything you can fly". In nine hours, the first heavy military transport aircraft C-141 Starlifter and a C-5 Galaxy took off with cargo to Israel. The C-5 even carried tanks!
An M60 disembarks from a USAF C-5 Galaxy during Operation Nickel Grass.
Most of the European allies of the United States did not allow American planes to make intermediate landings at their airfields and even pass through their own airspace. It was possible to convince Portugal, which allowed the use of the Lajes Air Base in the Azores. The KC-135 Stratotanker air refueling aircraft were relocated there.
Along with the transport aircraft, "infant" military personnel were also sent from the United States to Israel. The Israeli air force lost many of its fighter jets in the early days of the war, so President Nixon ordered more than one hundred F-4 Phantom II fighters to be supplied. These planes were immediately removed from U.S. Air Force squadrons. With American crews, with several refuelings on the way, they flew to Israeli air base Lod. In a short time, Israeli identification marks replaced American ones, and the Phantoms and Israeli crews went into combat. In addition, 36 A-4 Skyhawk attack aircraft were also delivered, with the only difference that they made a landing for refueling on an American aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean.
An A-4E Skyhawk (BuNo 151195) landing aboard the aircraft carrier USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVA-42) in October 1973. 36 Skyhawks were delivered to Israel of U.S. stocks to replace the losses.
The value of Operation Nickel Grass is difficult to estimate. Thanks to American aid, Israel managed to survive. What historical parallels derive from this? Ukraine, like Israel, was attacked by its strongest military neighbor. Ukraine, like Israel, does not have much room for concessions - because we want to live and our enemies want to destroy us. The aggressor in both cases does not agree to a ceasefire. However, Arab countries did not have the capacity and resources to bomb cities in Israel - and Russia has the ability and desire to destroy our cities.

it’s nearing christmas of 1991 in auckland , new zealand when a nervous yet excited kamnan suksi rushes his wife , anneke , to the nearest hospital . the couple was overjoyed to be having their first child together , but their daughter wasn’t due for another week ! the couple spend the next three days in auckland city hospital , with anneke in labor for eighteen hours . after years of being with one another , the couple welcomed their first and only child , ambhom into the world just a few short hours before christmas day .
for the next ten years , ambhom is nicknamed jeni and the family lives comfortably in the affluent neighborhood of herne bay thanks to kamnan’s work as a successful entrepreneur in the city and anneke’s past as a highly sought after model . it’s no surprise that jeni develops an interest in the arts thanks to the exposure that she receives as a child , often attending different camps to find her interest . the little girl is animated with the blessing of comedic timing , and it’s when she’s five that she is placed in front of the camera for the first time .
the beautiful little girl stars in several commercials in auckland , and it’s no denying her talent . for years , she auditions for small roles in television shows , eventually being approached to pursue bigger roles by auditioning to be represented by a company in new york city . initially , anneke and kamnan are nervous to expose their daughter to the film industry , afraid of what could become of her in such a cutthroat world . they talk it over with jeni , wanting to be sure that acting is what she truly wants , and before the family knows it , they’re settling in an expansive condo in the bustling city of manhattan .
jeni signs on to be represented by the company , and she starts her auditions . at first , it’s the same story of commercials and ad campaigns for the likes of macy’s and other popular department stores , until she finally nabs her big break . she nabs the role of rory gilmore in an upcoming series , at the tender age of fifteen . the role proves perfect for the teen , with her dry humor and line delivery often praised . jeni is well loved by the public despite it being her first role , and finds herself in the position as something of a media darling .
the series ends when she’s twenty two , and she takes on her first adult role as andrea fitzgerald in gone girl , effectively shedding her child star image . the next couple of years fly by , and jeni lands the coveted role of eve polastri in the bbc series killing eve . the show skyrockets jeni’s level of fame at the young age of twenty four . for the next four years , jeni splits her time between europe and new york , before she decides to purchase a home in los angeles in late 2019 . before jeni made los angeles her home , she starred in her academy award winning role of amelia dolan in la la land , yet another role that skyrockets her career even higher than before .
with a number of prestigious awards under her belt , most of the industry was surprised when jeni suddenly stepped out of the spotlight after her last film role in 2020 . jeni had always had something of a private life , so the sudden sabbatical stunned the public as they wondered if she was leaving acting for good . despite having a much smaller resume compared to other actors , jeni had established herself as a highly sought after actress , and simply found that she was ready to pursue another avenue . after three years of work , jeni debuts her brand suksi beauty , and it’s an instant hit .
now , jeni still hasn’t officially come out of her sabbatical , but she has signed on for a new role . she is primarily working on growing her brand , but still is hailed as a media darling despite how privatized her life is . she’s well known for having a pleasant personality and for embodying the good of celebrity , but she does find herself to be the center of baseless rumors like others . jeni has a humble disposition as well , although she is often labeled as an ice queen as she isn’t very forthcoming when it comes to being asked invasive questions that she doesn’t want to answer .
headcanons.
jeni is the kind of woman who appears as mysterious as they come . she is the type to have a drink in a crowded bar and leave before midnight .
she sometimes struggles with expressing her feelings , and she does not like to invite people into her life who only seek to hurt her in the end . in the media she is seen as warm and inviting , but in private she can be rather reserved and sometimes even skeptical of all that goes on around her .
resides in an expansive hollywood hills , california home with a value at $6.9 million . she purchased the home shortly after returning from europe following the completion of killing eve , and has resided there ever since . although she doesn’t drive often , jeni has made a 2023 porsche taycan as her preferred vehicle .
following her divorce , jeni has no interest in forming long term relationships . she doesn’t have a fear of them , but she doesn’t know how to move on just yet . she would rather bide her time with meaningless hookups , even though those are pretty much nonexistent as well .
no one knew jeni was married until after her divorce was finalized . she is too good at keeping her private life to herself , which is why there was no information regarding their engagement or wedding ( especially as the ceremony was private and in their shared home ) . tabloids were suspicious , but were never successful with proof until the divorce was settled .
she has a driver named meyer , which she has had for the last five years . he is best described as an older man , about mid - 50s , with salt and pepper hair and a greyed beard . he stands at 5′11″ and the two have a close relationship .
jeni took a sabbatical for two and a half years to officially launch and promote her makeup brand , suksi beauty . the brand has been showered with praise since its release , and is currently sold in sephora stores as well as through the brand’s website . suksi beauty is headquartered in jeni’s home country of new zealand , and there are three brick - and - mortar stores in los angeles , new york , and auckland .
