I texted Sark to ask him to bring Bug in with him when he got home this evening, because she is currently undergoing learning how to be an outside bird. Normally she's so thrilled to see me that she runs around in circles and puts her train up at me and dances. He sent me back this photo:

She'd made herself a dort hole, and did not want to stop being a filthy little gremlin for him. I'm glad she's learning to accept the outdoors, at least.

Anyway, before the pandemic, I used to take my kids on their own trips planned just for them. It could have been anything from a road trip to a weekend trip to Disney. I figured this was a good way for them to have their own travel experience. Not all family vacations are fun for everyone, and not everyone likes to go to the same places. Not to mention how much cheaper it is for one child and one adult to travel as opposed to a whole family. Usually, we do this during the fall, but I'm thinking of moving it up to the summer. Next year, I'm hoping for an out of the country experience with them. I was thinking of going to Japan with my daughter during the spring. And I know my youngest son has been wanting to go to London. This won't be until next year, but I'm a planner, so it's better to start looking into it now rather than later.
