I normally only post art here specifically made for this blog. That's why there isn't many older art, also why I don't post original content. I want to change that because I won't have anything to post otherwise with how little I've been doing.
The thing is my sketches kind of suck ass AND it still takes work ro make them presentable. (That's right I've been deceiving you guys the entire time by only posting my best work >:))
I know it's unreasonable to worry about the frequency of your posts when no one cares about that but I can't help it. Every time I let an opportunity to draw go past me because I was oh so sleepy I feel a bit guilty..

17. Your personal favorite works of art (not made by you) are...?
There is so many that it's hard to pick. So I'm gonna show stuff that had a huge effect on my art when I first saw it:
Tumblr media
[Made by artist Yori]
It's a well made work of art but not my fave. I don't know why my brain gravitated so much towards it when I saw them a few years ago. You can tell I took some inspiration from it.

1,3 and 20 for ask game
1. When did you start creating art?
I've been drawing since 4th grade I'm pretty sure. It's a lot easier to start drawing when you are a kid because you don't realize how much your art sucks. It's easy to start the ball rolling from there.
3. What are your favorite subjects to draw? (OCs, your fan faves, etc.)
I can't really think of anything specific but I have been doing a lot more fanart then usual. I haven't had much time recently so whenever I get the chance I draw something to post here. A lot of my ideas for fanart have been building up. I mostly mean finished artwork, not like sketches and stuff.
20. What motivates/inspires you artistically? (topics, emotions, etc)
Whenever I get an idea for something I want to be able to put it into paper as something physical. Literary sometimes, but I mean just being able to see it.
As for inspiration, the biggest thing is other art. It doesn't have to be in the medium I use, I actually prefer if it isn't. Music, fashion, sculptures, textile, architecture make me want to celebrate art by making more.

Artist Ask Game
Hey everyone! I've seen many artist ask games going around on Tumblr over the years and I've always wanted to make one of my own. If you're reblogging from someone other than the source, and you'd like to help foster a bit more community here on Tumblr, consider sending an ask to the person who put the post your way! :) Without further ado:
1. When did you start creating art?
2. Do you do art in any professional capacity? (Graphic design, commissions, animation, etc.)
3. What are your favorite subjects to draw? (OCs, your fan faves, etc.)
4. What's your least favorite part of the body to draw, if any?
5. What piece of art are you still proud of to this day? (Show or describe)
6. Favorite and least favorite angles/perspectives to draw?
7. Who are some artists that have inspired you?
8. How would you describe your art style?
9. What's the longest you've ever suffered from artblock?
10. How do you deal with art block?
11. Have you ever drawn a meme with your OCs or canon characters from a fictional media?
12. Ever participated in a multi-artist collaboration (3 or more) such as a multi-animator project?
13. What kind of art do you personally not see the appeal of, and why?
14. Do you prefer to make fan content or original content?
15. Do you/have you participated in Artfight or art trades in general?
16. What was something you used to struggle to draw with confidence/ease, but have now mastered?
17. Your personal favorite works of art (not made by you) are...?
18. Do you typically use filters on your art?
19. What's your biggest insecurity when it comes to your artwork?
20. What motivates/inspires you artistically? (topics, emotions, etc)

You know how I post my lineart with my drawings sometimes? I found this sitting in my drafts. It's like a coloring page if you think about it (´・∀・)
There is also some thumbnails I did to decide on the palette. The last one is pretty much ripping off Araki

You know I wasn't really expecting to like Violet Evergarden as much as I did because I don't like war stories. I don't think they are handled well most of the time and I especially dislike the "superhuman military weapon" trope. But each episode resonates with you when you watch it, you really feel what the characters are going through. So I can look past that easily. The doll training school, the observatory and the last episode were my favourites.
I also wasn't expecting the animation to be so well made. Normally when an art style is really detailed, the actual animation tends to be choppy and rigid *cough* vento aureo but the animation in Violet Evergarden is buttery smooth. I love it. Even simple gestures have such weight to them. You can also see stuff happening in the background which adds to the atmosphere.
It's 13 episodes long. I reccomend you give it a try.

wow i love couples' matching t-shirts
[ID: Digital fanart from the waist up of anthy and utena, both wearing a white t-shirt. On anthy's is a text that reads: "I am the wound that never heals", while on utena's: "I am the dull blade she twists inside herself". End ID.]

My first instinct was to recommend JJBA but then I realized LMAO one of my all-time favorites that your art style reminds me of is Violet Evergarden on Netflix. It's one season with two or three movies, can't remember exactly, about a veteran who tries to adjust to civilian life after spending her entire life at war in a fictional, low fantasy universe. It doesn't sound like much but anyone who's seen it knows just how damn good it is, from the storytelling to the animation and visual design to the music. Watch it with a box of tissues though because it is gut-wrenching, not to mention the potential triggers for some pretty heavy themes.

It's incredibly pretty looking! You say it doesn't sound like much but I like the concept. I'll give it a watch for sure
