I'm finally making my return to tumblr after checking out for a few years! I used to go by the handle The Scarlet Stitch across socials.

I've been making crochet cosplay since 2014 and crocheting for even longer. However, in 2019, while in the third year of a fiber art degree with a focus on crochet, I was hit by a car and forced to drop out. I couldn't use my hands for basic tasks let alone working on a degree or any new cosplays. In my torment of losing my ability to make art I took down a lot of my online presence.

After years of physical therapy, and traditional therapy, along with coming to terms that my abilities look different now, I have once again started making crochet cosplays. I am also back to sharing what I know and what I learn along the way!

The above photo is of the crochet gown I stitched for several months to celebrate seeing Taylor Swift perform on May 21st at the Gilette stadium.

This week I'll be taking this gown to be showcased at the H+H Americas show in Chicago.

TDLR: I am back to crocheting costumes after an accident took that away from me for a bit and this is my latest large scale project!
