I want to catch up with One Piece before I make a proper Usopp post because I know there are things coming for him, and I am interested in that because I really really like him.
He is such an interesting character, and I decided I wanted to write about him since Water Seven, when he projected his own worth into Merry, when even then he defied Luffy and for a second proved his brain could give him an advantage. And later when he swallowed his pride and showed real weakness as he apologized to his captain and the crew. He didn't stop being a coward or a compulsive liar. There was no need. He just learned he is loved for himself.
And then Thriller Bark...
Not only do we get a somehow comic confirmation that he holds so much anxiety and depression in that skinny little body, but it's used for his advantage. But that has always been the case. He knows who he is, he knows how "insignificant" he is compared to others, and that's why he is still kicking.
And then, the moment everything seemed lost, and his minutes were apparently counted, Sogeking came out. The mask may have come on first so he could fight alongside his friends without accepting defeat, but in Thriller Bark, it was a savior who could do what Usopp couldn't.
Sogeking is resourceful, smart, brave, and daring...and guess what, so is Ussop, but he didn't know that at the time, because Usopp is very aware of his weaknesses, and wearing a mask allowed him to be confident. This, however, seems to have changed after the time skip, but we'll see.
Ussop feels like a fable character. A trickster archetype. And maybe this is what caught my attention on the first place.
At the same time, he is the voice of reason in the crew. Even if he hysterically screams sense to his captain.. who would do whatever he wants anyway.
I love Usopp. He is the best.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Adrian turned around to see you leaning against the doorframe, he held his mask in his hands “Oh, Peacemaker asked me if I wanted to go blow up stuff in his yard again!” He smiles as brightly as he always has, and this still makes you fall head over heels, just as it always had. “Aren’t you forgetting something” as smirk grew on your face and his face turns into a confused and serious one. “Uh… I have my keys, and I left my wallet so I don’t lose it… again-“ you pushed yourself away from the doorframe and made your way over to him as you wrapped your arms around his neck. His face shifts back into a happy and slightly sinful look “Oh… I still don’t know what I forgot, but this is more important.” He smiles and holds your waist as your lips meet his. He smiles, even while kissing, and before you pull away you can even hear his goofy little chuckle. And though he bragged about it a lot, and I mean a lot, you always knew that he loved you. “Stay a little bit longer…?” He breathes a laugh and scratches the back of his neck “I don’t know baby, I mean… I want to, but I don’t want to leave Chris hanging, you know?” You pout “Alright, have fun Adri…” You place a small kiss on his cheek right before walking to the living room. Only a couple of minutes pass before you see the handsome, un-vigilanted man, only wearing his comfy lounge pants and putting his glasses on. He walks to his side of the couch, which is comfortably next to yours, and leans into the plush pillows. The slight touch of your shoulders together creates a blossoming embrace that allows you to put your head on his shoulder and make him go lovey. “Am I too late on the ‘stay-home’ offer?” He asked as his playful grin came back. You pretend to think “I don’t know…” you smirk before he opens room for you to shift onto him in a way that your legs can hang off the arm of the couch and touch his soft and beautiful face. You gently bury your face into his neck, as his chest rumbles with every giggle. Though, maybe something sparked inside of you that made this devilish idea pop up, but you know his weakness, and he’s right where you want him. Gradually you start kissing the individual freckles that ran along his shoulders, neck, and chest. He immediately starts shuffling and chuckling, he’s always been sensitive to tickles but nobody else knows that but you… and maybe peacemaker. “What are you doing- stop that tickles!” He laughs gentle pushing your face away from his neck before longingly gazing into you. “I love you.” He raises one of his worn yet soft hands to your face and cradles your cheek as if you were made of porcelain. “I love you too.” He leans in to claim your lips, to deliver you a tender and passionate kiss. And before you get to relax in this place, he pulls away. He smiles again before quickly tousling your hair “Wanna go blow up some stuff with me and Chris?” You smile brightly “I would love to” he quickly picks you up and lets you cling onto him like a Koala before grabbing his mask and suit to go.
(A/N): I love Adrian so much, I’m sorry it it got a little out of character 😭. P.S I wanted to do like an episode x reader thing but it ended up super cringe… I might try again though 👀❤️

Let's conclude our Cutie Honey 50th anniversary trivia with the final episode: “A Poison Flower Falls to Hell.”

With the exception of Junpei’s girlfriend Mami and the nameless Panther Claw subordinates, all of the (living) characters in the series appear for the final episode.
The suspenseful drumming that plays before Eagle Panther attacks the truck was lifted from Go Misawa’s soundtrack for Devilman.
Honey has always lovingly addressed her father as “papa”, but in this episode she refers to him as the more formal otousama or “father.” This was probably done to demonstrate to the audience how much she has grown from her battle with Panther Claw.
In the original manga, Sister Jill’s headquarters was called maboroshi jyou or “Castle of Illusion.” The name was probably changed to avoid confusion with Cutter Claw’s “Castle of Illusion” from episode 10.
Jill’s headquarters in the manga looks like a traditional European style castle, while the anime version evokes more of a haunted house.
The dreamlike landscape Honey falls into is modeled after the surrealist works of Salvador Dali, specifically one of his most famous works, The Persistence of Memory, which depicts melting pocket watches. The floating lips could possibly be based on Man Ray’s Observatory Time: The Lovers, a painting featuring a giant pair of lush red lips in the sky.
The second half of the episode features a few references to one of Toei Animation’s earlier films, The Little Prince and the Eight-Headed Dragon.
Released in 1963, the film tells the story of Susanoo, the youngest son of the gods who created the Earth, and his journey in finding his mother. The stylized film featured the talents of animation veterans such as Yasuo Otsuka, Yoichi Kotabe, Isao Takahata, and Kimio Yabuki.
References to The Little Prince and the Eight-Headed Dragon:
The human shaped fire that attacks Honey is animated almost exactly like the Fire God that Susanoo faces.
The phantom serpents are a dead-ringer for the eight-headed dragon. The only difference is the coloring. In the film their colors are similar to Maleficent's dragon form from Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty. It’s worth mentioning in the original storyboard the illusions were meant to look like generic snakes.
After the Panther Chateau crumbles, the gloomy skies clear up and Honey finds herself in a flowerbed under a blue sky. This is similar to the end of the film, in which the defeated dragon turns into a field of flowers and the dark skies become bright and sunny.
The bone-chilling organ music that plays during Honey and Jill’s confrontation is Fugue in D Major, BWV 580 by Johann Sebastian Bach. The rendition featured in this episode was performed by French organist Marie-Claire Alain.
While the animation director for the finale is Satoshi Jingu of Anime Room, the key animation for the second half of the episode was handled primarily by Yoshinori Kanada. While he was relatively unknown at the time, he would go on to be a very influential figure in the animation world, working on titles such as Dino Mech Gaiking, Birth, Princess Mononoke and others.
Kanada’s style is particularly noticeable during the “Honey Special” sequence and Honey's reunion with the Hayami family. It’s very possible Kanada had worked on the other episodes animated by Anime Room (episodes 6, 13, 16, and 24) but he only received credit for this one.
Supposedly, the final episode was originally going to be handled by Shingo Araki and Hiroshi Shitara, but both men were too busy working on Majokko Megu-chan.
Despite getting pretty good ratings, Cutie Honey was canceled due to concerns over salacious content. According to Go Nagai’s autobiographical manga, Gekiman! Cutie Honey Hen, nearly everyone involved was blindsided by the cancellation. Toshio Katsuta in particular was quite surprised, since Honey made better ratings than its predecessor, Microid S. Katsuta was actually quite confident Honey would last three or four seasons.
Because of the series' abrupt cancellation, Katsuta and Nagai both agreed to have Honey defeat Jill at the end of the series, while leaving Panther Zora’s fate being left to the interpretation of the fans.
In an interview printed in the 1981 Cutey Honey Roman Album, Go Nagai talks a little bit about what Honey and Zora were up to after the finale. He says Zora began harvesting animals from the Amazon and transforming them into androids, probably in preparation for a battle against Honey. He also says Honey is destined to only fight Panther Claw, so she'd probably ignore any unrelated criminal activity. I guess we can assume Honey got a little downtime after her victory against Sister Jill?
And that's all our trivia for Cutie Honey! I hope you enjoyed all the interesting tidbits I've collected over the years. Maybe someday I'll do this for the other series...

I was wondering if you would be willing to make me a couple of gifs that focus primarily on the way Jeng approaches Pat when Pat sobs into his shoulder, I want to study these under a microscope and will most likely write a body language breakdown post including these gifs about what similarities and differences I am seeing in how they interact at the stages they are at in their connection to one another. episode 6! i did take a break from reading it for a bit but i'm back on my regular schedule <3
there's a lot here (i know i say that a lot but it's orv. the plot never slows down)
also, a small fun fact: from chapters 553-586, kim dokja's name has appeared in all but two chapters (562, 580). lee hakhyun. you have brainworms
so, the item box
kyung sein does rightfully ask how the hell he found a second box, and lee hakhyun makes up an excuse on the spot like usual
when the constellation messages start coming in, he decides to look at them and guess which are just constellations are which are readers who possessed constellations
so, lee hakhyun's guesses:
wukong: constellation
tiger: reader
rat: unknown
cow: reader
pig: reader
unrevealed modifier: a weirdo
schemer is noticeably missing.
now, they don't have broken faith, so what are they going to put in that box?
lee hakhyun puts in 'unrealized thoughts' (changed the 'unrealized ideas' item name)
..however, he don't have a demon's core, because the dark keeper left peacefully. and
lee hakhyun is prepared to reject the constellation's offer assuming it's going to be something impossible, but the tiger only requests one thing: for lee hakhyun to attend the zodiac ball, something like the constellation banquet or the gourmet association festival but for the zodiacs
and again with hakhyun calling himself a villain
these zodiacs are chill though, and i'm interested to see what will happen at the ball
with all the ingredients, lhh puts them in the box and that would be the end of the chapter
but there's a pov switch

and that's where schemer was, huh. i have no guesses on who he could be

so, the item turns out to be.. a living slime thing..? and when lee dansu tried to feed it ground rat meat, it eats his bracelet item
and then turns into the bracelet.
before the item description, as they're leaving they just. barely miss han sooyoung
she was soo close
now the item. i had a hell of a time trying to figure out the translation but i tried my best
so, this item can mimic another item, though needing to fulfill extra conditions if it's a powerful item
and also the slime can just. not transform if it doesn't like you
they make it back to geumho station, and the food penalty and survival penalty have started. there's a vastly different atmosphere compared to when kim dokja was there
i'm going to talk about this when i've read a few more chapters, but 41 yjh is really not what would be expected from what we got in ORV
lee hakhyun, i love you
i'm curious on who that unrevealed constellation is, too. his indirect messages have been suspicious to say the least
lhh goes on to demonstrate cooking a ground rat corpse that jung heewon (who's awake now!) brought back after not being able to find any food, and teaching the people in geumho station how to hunt ground rats
while teaching the citizens, lee hakhyun plans out his next actions, which is to go to chungmuro and deal with gong pildu

My #toonenough ink art reference that shows a deep topic, yet likely nowadays over the last decade about workplace bullying and abuse. The situation about discrimination; is most common in today's society on how it effects others, deeply than the outside (but on the inside).

At that moment? Minty feel that something feels wrong in the Cog Territory and everywhere she go, not just in ToonTown Rewritten? Mostly she encountered to one of the Cog Suits in Corporate Clash. They were each gotten mistreated, without anyone knowing about it. Minty could see Dave Brubot the Major Player in the community house hold (inspired from this comic dub I saw: https://youtu.be/ESt5HrtNYog ), that Bossbot of a suit fully understood what the Toon mouse was referring all about.
So, he strongly believe in helping her. Suggesting that her friends of all people; they got to know the truth about the situation she and those who were in. Dave Brubot decided to reach out to the other Cog Suits for some help.
