Meredith stared up at the finished home. Two days, hundreds of people, thousands of pounds of food and drink. And now...? Now she can relax a little. This one will stand, she's sure of it. The barn was fixed up, repainted, the roof patched... it felt like the weight of the world lifted off her shoulders. And now she could get back to healing.
Quiet as ever, she made her way into the new woodshop, and began working on making new furniture.
Fuku stepped into the teleporter in the station. By now, it has expanded a little bit, and she could see peeks out the outside as the new additions weren't yet welded closed.
And the next, she was down in the deepest lab so far, Zero Lab. Scattered, faded papers dotted the room. Fuku was under the impression there was once more abandoned equipment here, but they have likely been scrapped and recycled for building material and new equipment by now.
One of the hard hatted workers walked up to Fuku, sounding a bit relieved.
"Thank Arc, Professor Tanaka. We found something down here, and we're not sure what to do with it. You need to look at this."
Fuku nodded. "Well, come and show me then. I'll follow you."
Fuku followed the hired worker, and, well.
"What in the actual FUCK-"
The room was massive, with black tiled floors and walls made of polished Terastal crystals. In the center of the room was a terminal, rusted from possibly months of disuse. Fuku looked up above to see a large machine on the ceiling, blades folded over each other. The metal was pitch black, and she had the impression it was sleek. However, large patches of dark red-brown mottled the machine.
"Any chance this works?" Fuku asked, looking back down at the worker.
"Nope. We messed with the terminal, but it's just as dead."
"We might as well scrap it, then," Fuku responded. "I'm going to probably have to rent more large equipment to get it down, though. But we could convert this whole room into a primary research lab. It's definitely big enough for it."
"So we're leaving it for now?"
"Only until we get something bigger down here," Fuku said, opening her phone to look at options. "Once we do, do you think you and the others can re-use the metal?"
"Absolutely," he nodded. "Metal's metal, and it doesn't take a lot to scrub off rust and tarnish."
"Good to know."
Fuku walked forward, still awestruck this room even exists. She knew the previous professor likely had the money, but even this was out of the realm she considered possible to build in Area Zero.
She ran her hand over the top of the terminal. It was rough, owing to the rusting of the metal, but the brief patches of sleekness revealed what its former texture was. Jeez, just how loaded was the professor?
Fuku turned around to head back in the portal, but noticed a small object somewhere in the tiles. This was somehow missed by both her and the workers, owing to its size in the grand scope of the room. She headed up and carefully picked it up in her claws. The disguised Zoroark was careful with it, this felt like it was many years old. She flipped over the pages. Some of it was smudged, and some faded, so it took a bit of careful flipping through. There was one thing that was fully clear, however.
"I have found that some of the work I have done here is entirely by own hand. The being responsible for the crystallization of the energy has indirectly aided me. I feel honored now that ▊▊▊▊▊▊ has chosen to aid me in my goal of creating a paradise. No matter what, I will succeed, even if it costs my life."
Blue Lock Ship Week has officially come to a close! Thank you to all the supporters and participants who’ve seen through the end of this event! We have posted a masterlist with all the submissions, so please check it out!
Come on out everyone, just so you know you might get blinded
We have foods and drinks and blankets. The hospital has ambulances here.
Is ralphie awake?
Is Freddy charged? We're going to have to load in starling
The people hurry out of the building, some stumbling, others carrying sick customers. It's been far too long. Freddy carries Starling in his arms.
Shadow is being carried by her father, she's luckily asleep but his look of worry says everything they need to know.
Chica helps people out of the building from the doorway.
Roxy isn't there.
Monty and the daycare attendants both have kids riding on them, covering their eyes. They stop at the door.
Freddy runs outside, for once not trying to keep his steps level for the baby. "Take him to the hospital now!" Freddy says to medical workers, passing the tiny, sick child into their arms.
Freddy freezes. He's outside. The snow is under is feet. He remembers what happens if they don't turn off the...
Freddy tries to run straight back inside but the internal system kicks on and he falls to the ground, in standby mode. Fazbear doesn't want him to leave.
(The device switches on as it hears a commotion. It had been moved to the bedroom after the late-night asks and set on a cupboard. The new view allows it a good look at the room as it turns back on)
(In the bed that had previously had five small children had curled around their father, there are now five almost adults halfway crushing him and each other. The siblings are making noises of confusion, looking around at each other for help. Jack simply smiles and hugs as many of them as he can to himself)
congratulations to you, sent me a reference or image (clear) of your character in DM and I'll drew them to reward you ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
thank you to all those who participated in this, all your work was so incredible it was really not easy to choose as they were amazing and originalO(∩_∩)O
I’d just like to acknowledge that South Africa wouldn’t have such a strong case without the work of the journalists, both alive and martyred, on the ground in Gaza supplying the world with firsthand information about the genocide and that they deserve thanks for it.
