The first week in Northuldra camp for Elsa had been kind of weird. One one hand, she was delighted to live with the tribe, fulfilled in her new role, freed from the walls that had locked her soul. And yet, on the other hand, despite all of those beautiful feelings, she couldn't find sleep. Now was it because she was excited by her new life, or because she felt nervous about it?
She let her thoughts wander, or rather float over each other, as she curled with her knees against her chest, sitting down a tree in the cold middle of the night.
"Is the lavvo uncomfortable?" Asked a gentle, yet teasing voice, behind her. In that simple question, one could tell that the person was caring, not accusing, but wanted to bring humor to lighten the mood.
Elsa snapped up and twirled her head around, facing Honeymaren. The Northuldra smiled at her to appease her apparent stress.
"No, not at all." Replied the blonde immediately, making it clear that she liked it here. "It's perfect. You guys are so fast at building them, it's such a--"
"And you are so fast at switching the mood to avoid people worrying." Analyzed Honeymaren with the same warm smile.
She saw that she hit right when Elsa closed her mouth, and lowered her gaze, back to curling on herself. Her tense shoulders however slumped a bit. "Sorry."
"There's nothing to be sorry about. What is going on? Are you okay? Well of course you aren't. But do you want to talk about it?" Asked the brunette.
Elsa breathed in longly, to give herself courage, and Honeymaren could hear that she had been crying. It was hard to see the remnants of tears on her face and her slightly red eyes in the low light of the Moon piercing through the birch branches, but easy to guess.
Honeymaren checked around to make sure nobody would disturb them, and sat down in front of her.
"It's not nice to spy on people." Smiled Elsa. She had thought this spot of the Forest would be far enough to be alone.
"I'm not spying, I'm standing guard. I told you, I love to do it now that the mist is lifted. Which is thanks to you," she added as a compliment to ease her mind.
Elsa kept sniffing, not answering.
"And," added Honeymaren, "word of advice, if you don't want to be spotted in the dark when you want to isolate yourself from the camp..."
The blonde lifted her head.
"Avoid wearing sparkling outfits to sleep." Grinned Honeymaren.
Elsa blushed intensely, recowering a bit on herself, though she couldn't help smiling when she saw her white pants. She had a point.
"Alright." She replied quietly. "I admit that it's a bit too extra."
She then frowned at her. "Don't tell Anna I said that."
"I'll have to see her for that." Chuckled Honeymaren.
At this sentence, tension fell in the clearing.
"...Is she the reason of your nightmare?" Understood the Northuldra.
Elsa rubbed her bent legs with her thumb for a moment, then opened up. "Not nightmare. Insomnia."
"So that's the reason why you're outside." Nodded Honeymaren, now that Elsa had finally answered her initial question.
Elsa nodded slowly in return. "I..."
Chestnut eyes shining in the Moon light gave her support.
"It's been like this all my life. Well... Not all. When I was a kid, it was alright..."
There was a silence.
"Then, for the past 3 years, after the Thaw, Anna helped." Tenderly smiled Elsa.
That's all she said, however. But Honeymaren didn't need more to understand the feeling. She had a brother, and she may have met Anna for a few hours, she instantly was wrapped by her caring aura.
"So, the insomnia is back?" Nuanced the Northuldra.
Another sad nod from Elsa.
Honeymaren looked around. "I have to go back to my watch." She said, and for a fraction of a second, Elsa thought that she wouldn't help her. "Do you want to come with me?"
The blonde's heart made a leap.
"M-me?"
"Yes, you." Snorted the brunette.
"But I know nothing about standing guard."
"Nonsense. You were able to spot and stop Bruni on your first hour here, you can manage a few reindeer getting too close to the river. Besides, you ride the Nokk, don't you? You can even gather the herd if needed."
The blush was clear on Elsa's cheeks, even in the darkness, and she had a bashful smile.
Honeymaren's smile was even wider in reaction. "Come."
She sat up, and held her hand to help her stand up. Elsa sniffed one last time, resolutely, and smiled as she lifted her hand to put it in hers.
When their palms touched, Elsa's skin wasn't cold anymore.

For the day 4 prompt, "Cinderella moment", I'm dipping into a Frozen AU that I haven't published anything for yet. (And having a bit of fun with the Sami section of the nordicnames website)
She looked at herself in the mirror. The ballgown wasn’t as uncomfortable as the horror stories she had heard growing up, and she rather liked how her hair was done.
As she walked into the ballroom, she heard whispers of people wondering who this princess was. She chuckled silently at how they were fooled. She would enjoy it.
“There you are, Ikka!” a familiar voice exclaimed. “We hardly recognized you!”
Honeymaren was standing right next to her.
“I hardly recognized myself,” she admitted. “Where’s Elsa?”
“Talking to the King and Queen.” Honeymaren gestured over.
“Will we be introduced?”
“You will.”

I'm actually believing that ElsaMaren was supposed to be explicitly canon in "Frozen 2," but that was scrapped at the last moment. That Honeymaren was made to please #GiveElsaAGirlfriend I don't think I ever doubted, but it seems they went much further than a simple interpretative nod originally.
And I hope this returns in "Frozen 3/4."

Elsamaren shippers are just always SO PISSED if you don’t like their ship. For no reason at all. I dont have any good experience with those ppl (nothing really against this ship too) I just dont see them together which is completely fine) But they really be complaining sometimes and saying they’ve been waiting soooo long (not even 4 years) for their ship to happen in Frozen 3.
Helsa/ Jelsa fans on the other hand…
I love how we react on people hating our ships. Like we’ve been here for YEARS and we’re so used to it😆 so desperately waiting for Hans x Elsa or Jack x Elsa to become canon. The hope we had for Frozen 2…Terryfying.

I love love love reading comments or tumblr posts where elsamaren x helsa fans „talk” And that is just Elsamaren shippers screaming and being rude as hell to us…
meanwhile Helsa shippers just respond with very classic words that I’ve seen million times before : Helsa is canon for me *blocks*😆 or no response at all, which is…always better. Especially now in 2023.
So Disney please make Helsa canon because after 10 years, we finally deserve to retire.😆

HTBC 🌲 Chapter 10!
Chapter 10: To be human again
“Easy. Easy.” Smiled Honeymaren.
She wanted nothing more than to tackle her lover into a powerful hug, but she was following Sonya’s strong advice and helping Elsa sit up with slow gestures.
“Here, I made you some herbal tea.” Smiled the healer.
Honeymaren was the one who took the mug in her hand, however, for they had sadly discovered that Elsa was unable to make any move.
The Fifth Spirit was curled on herself and sulking in a traumatized posture. Honeymaren understood that the panic attack Elsa had when she had woken up still hadn’t left the blonde despite hers and Sonya’s soothing administrations.
When the blonde had found out that she truly didn’t have magic anymore, and that it wasn’t a nightmare she had in her coma, she screamed in the goahti, breaking Honeymaren’s heart in half.
Elsa’s breathing still was ragged, and her lover placed a hand above hers. The blonde immediately hissed, but it was involuntary, so the Northuldra retracted her hand right away.
“Sorry.”
“No, I am.” Muttered Elsa. “I just… They are very sensitive.”
Honeymaren nodded in pity. They had changed her to a Northuldra tunic when she was unconscious, and since she opened her eyes, everything she touched had an impact.
“Your whole skin is sensitive. It’s normal. It’s the first time that you don’t have magic coursing in your veins.” Assured Honeymaren.
She felt bad for stating the truth so bluntly, and her heart sank in her chest at Elsa’s tearful sigh.
“Anna is going to arrive soon. The Wind Spirit understood my worry and it’s very likely that she’ll basically swoop her up and bring her directly here through the air.” Reassured the brunette with a joking tone to make her lover smile.
She succeeded, for the blonde’s lips finally twitched up for the first time since she woke up, and Sonya and Honeymaren felt relieved to see her in that mood. Honeymaren blew on the mug of tea then brought it to Elsa’s lips, tilting it so she could drink, and her girlfriend jolted at the liquid. The brunette had good reflexes and tilted the mug back to not splash its content out.
“Gods, I didn’t– I’m sorry.”
“There’s no need to apologize, mitt lys.”
“No, it’s not just sensitivity… It’s so hot, I didn’t expect it.”
Honeymaren frowned, looking down at the mug on which she had blown, and eyed Sonya. The latter frowned too. She had prepared it while Elsa was still in her coma, and they had spent a long time calming her down, so it should be lukewarm by now… Honeymaren carefully brought it to her lips to test it, and indeed the tea was just warm, not hot. She was about to make that remark out loud, until she realized that it was because Elsa’s affinity with hot and cold had been completely disrupted.
“Yeah, it’s still very hot.” Lied the Northuldra, and she placed the mug aside.
Sonya was clever enough to not check after her.
“In the meantime, maybe we can talk?” Smiled Honeymaren. “Come on, I need you to tell me…”
She put a caring hand on the pelt that was above Elsa’s knee.
“…How do you feel?"

I've always saw Elsa as aro but personally I ship her with Hans even tho I don't want Elsa to end up with anyone in canon🫠krazi brain
Because I love crazy, I came up with a crazy idea for Frozen 3 where Elsa is "friends" with Honeymaren (implicitly lovers). Meanwhile, Hans returned to wreak havoc on the Sisters or Enchanted Forest or Arendelle but his end goal is to put his brothers into trouble until they all die until he's the one left for the Southern Isle's throne. He didn't intended to get the Arendellian throne anymore cause he knows Elsa's a threat.
Over the course of the movie, Elsa would have fluff moments with Honeymaren while with Hans, it's spicy. Hans kidnapped Honeymaren to blackmail Elsa. Hans and Honeymaren had civilized moments together because Hans knew he can't kill Honeymaren, he just makes sure she's perfectly fine. Until they kinda respect each other (while showing the audience that they have chemistry too).
So to conclude, if this was shown in the canon upcoming movie, there's gonna be a new ship between Hans and Honeymaren (Threesome ship wouldn't be impossible too💥). While also catering both the Helsa and Elsamaren fandoms. So everyone happy :D
It's amusing 👌😎 While I'm pretty sure that they are going to leave Elsa aroace I also ship her with Hans; and I think I like this idea, it pleases many people: interactions between a brave Honeymaren(she's widely headcanonned as a warrior girl) and a dark sarcastic Hans could be incredible and sparkly, while with Elsa she could be fluffy and soft ❄ And of course, the pain of the past between Hans and Elsa provides a ton of material for ✨ angst ✨

FROZEN III
Actually, I wanted to leave Tumblr in a few days and haven't been active for months, with the exception of my big project, the fanfic blog. The Frozen fandom was unfortunately almost dying due to a lack of new Disney content and many moved on to new shores, such as Arcane or Encanto etc., which strengthened my decision. But now the third part of Frozen has officially been announced and I'm more or less back on Tumblr as long as my time allows.
Guys, the Frozen hype is back and I'm totally happy about it.
I still remember the beginning when the first leaked image of Frozen II surfaced, a photo of a Russian Disney calendar. That was the beginning for me to get into international fandom and it was a really good decision. All the speculations and discussions about the possible plot of Frozen II was really exciting and I met a lot of people on Tumblr because of it.
As you all know, unfortunately the fandom split after the release of Frozen II because Disney completely screwed up the ending in the eyes of many. There have been pretty drastic new movements within the fandom, such as BEH and the likes. Many fans have blocked each other on social media platforms because of this and new hatred has arisen. The worry that Disney will now screw it up again is still pervasive today and some, including myself, now fear the worst for the third part. Why? Because Disney has so far always targeted the kids between 3 and 12 and completely ignored us older, adult fans (hence the hasty change in Frozen II, ordered by a person of a higher pay grade than Jen Lee, Chris Buck & Co). It is questionable what would have happened if the original plans had been realised, but such speculation is pointless. So what can we expect from the third part in a few years? And unfortunately we will have to wait that long! The same disaster? Quite possible! In any case, I have drastically lowered my expectations this time. I will definitely watch Frozen III, but possibly not as often as the previous films.
For this reason, my activity on this platform will certainly be somewhat different in the future and I won't be reblogging as many posts, mainly due to a lack of private time. But nevertheless I still have a lot of old posts in my drafts, which I will now post bit by bit.

Well, since there are still a few years to go before Frozen III is released and the fears about a bad plot are quite justified, I would like to draw your attention to a new Frozen book. It's nothing official and definitely wouldn't be sanctioned by Disney, but it's already 342,000 words, so it's bigger than any of the previous official Frozen books, written for the adult fans (18+ in places!) and free too!
I'm talking about my big fanfiction project, written by a big Frozen fan for all the other Frozen fans.
I'm writing on my novel since May 24, 2020 and started it again on my new blog on June 19, 2021, so i'm working on my Frozen III novel since nearly 4 years now. A few months more for part V and the ending and it will be exactly 4 years! And that's my plan, to finish my book before any news about the plot of Frozen III will be available.
I already have a lot of followers on my blog, so if you get bored waiting so long for the new movie, I recommend you give my epic FIII story a try. The title is "The Broken Bridge" and it includes nearly all known characters of the Frozen verse plus a bunch of my own OCs. I can promise you an exiting story full of twists and surprises plus an extended view of the Northuldra, based on the real Sámi people. I did a lot of research to keep my story as realistic as possible and included as much canon facts as possible too. But be warned, it also includes some erotic moments (Kristanna, Elsamaren), violence and brutality near the end of part VI, plus a real evil Villain. My heroes are not who or are as you expect and the Northuldra (plus other families) play a very big role in my book.
