Analysis of Episode 7
Tumblr media
[MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW]
So I wanted to talk about the latest episode of MD and it's really hard to find people to talk about this with (surprisingly?) and the one discord I joined was a bit of a mess so I'm just gonna come here and try to word vomit cohesively.
Tumblr media
Wanna start by saying that yes, even though V is no longer in the intro, I HIGHLY doubt she's dead or gone for good. I think the new intro is likely just the start of a new arc or progression of the story. We aren't supposed to know what happens to her, so they're taking any signs of normalcy of her being present away. They could have also just wanted a new intro in general (which I love!).
I would be incredibly surprised if she was permanently gone. I guarantee she has a clone like it's stated J (stated in episode 6) and N (mentioned in this episode by Cyn herself) have.
What I can see happening, however, is V not being the same as before. If the V from the last episode is damaged beyond repair, Cyn will need to get a new clone out for her. Cyn states in this episode that she keeps their personalities. So I doubt V would act like herself from before her DD days (though I did play around with the thought). I can see something happening where Cyn tries to delete the memory files of V interacting with Uzi and the events leading up to here and now. I'm not sure how practical this would be depending on how long they're planning on making the season finale be. I feel it would be easier to just have someone retrieve her or try fixing her (unless she is fighting this entire time, which again we don't know, anything is possible). If it is the case of attempted memory deletion, I don't think Cyn will be successful. I'll come back to this later.
Tumblr media
It's revealed that the one chained up in the trailers is in fact Nori, who seems to be taken over by the Absolute Solver, or Cyn. It seems that the company is actually trying to remedy the mistakes of their former colleagues on Earth. They have created a patch that is located in a USB drive inside what looks to be a crucifix.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There seems to be a huge religious aspect, though it is not apparent why. Our researcher Ridley here seems to be wearing a Mitre Hat typically worn by bishops. I'm not sure if they're meant to be wearing a specific type of miter, but it resembles an auriphrygiata worn during celebrations of the sacraments. If we were to put whatever is happening here under one of those sacraments, I'd say the closest would be an Anointing of the Sick (meant to help various states of sickness in religious ways such as prayer). I think a big part of the religious aspect may be superstition on JCJenson's part, but considering what we see of Cyn being a seemingly eldritch being, I can't blame them.
Tumblr media
"LAB SPACE FOR RENT LEASED RSCH012 - 'CABIN FEVER' PRIME CATHEDRAL REAL ESTATE"
So obviously this is partly a joke, with a cathedral underground being for rent and all.
But a catholic church is where some sacraments are held. Once again I'm not sure why they believe they need this space, but I doubt Glitch would pick this setting "just because." (or maybe they would, you tell me)
Alice refers to Uzi as a "witch" in episode 6, saying she's dealt with them before, and then immediately stating that "she hasn't seen 002 since she's left us to die."
Cathedral churches had many reasons for existing, but one small purpose they served was to ward off evil, specifically witches.
Tumblr media
A pentangle was one of many symbols used to deter witches or anything thought to be an evil entity. The candles surrounding them are likely meant to be Votive Candles, meant to seek help from the saints.
Of course, it also seems to be a giant magnet which may have helped them more than the candles in this situation. This is about all I have for this episode regarding the huge religious themes (aside from the episode literally being called "Mass Destruction.")
Our intern Mitchell seems to realize something is wrong after grabbing Yeva (aka 048). I am unsure if these revelations make a huge difference in the outcome of events. It seems that when Yeva does save Nori from The Absolute Solver with the USB drive, they are intimately aware of how dangerous it is, as Nori seems to want her to chop her arm off when they realize the solver is going out of control. These events explain what happens to Copper-9 as the planet's core implodes in on itself, creating a huge crater in the planet. The rest we know: the planet freezes over and only the drones remain.
Tumblr media
We cut to who we now know is Nori, in her - as I'll call it -her "Heart" form. It seems she is searching for the correct cross shown with the USB and has been all this time, only supposedly finding it in this episode. We can presume she finds it after running into N since she tosses a cross away after inspecting it and not seeing any resemblances to the crucifix in the video. She has the correct one later when she runs into N, so the only time she could have found it was between her leaving to enter the mineshafts and her actually finding the DD.
I won't be going too much into the dynamics of all the relationships in this post, but I definitely will make a separate post for those (feel free to ask for some as well) -- so I won't focus on any in-depth character analysis here unless I believe it needs to be mentioned for this post to make sense.
After "Tessa" and unfortunately N scare off Uzi, N is trapped inside the collapsed mineshaft with his human counterpart nowhere to be found. Likely because of the list she needs to find and confronting Doll.
Tumblr media
It is also revealed shortly after that Thad and Lizzie seem to be looking for someone, most likely the person being V. I've seen some points where it could be possible V sent out a signal, which may explain why this just suddenly happens. I wouldn't be surprised either if she found a way to send a signal to Khan as well -- unless he suddenly decided to be a good father and look for Uzi (who apparently seemed to be last on his list of reasons for disliking DD's) I think he got some sort of clue as to what was happening from V or another outside source. We already know he went through Nori's closet along with Uzi's blueprints for her railgun to get information.
Back to N, Cyn reveals that she lets his team keep their personalities because of him. Whether or not this is true is unclear, as she manipulates N and many others to sway things in her favor. It's almost as if she sees them as playthings for her entertainment.
Tumblr media
When she shows N a memory from before, seemingly right after or around Earth's destruction, we can see a symbol come across his face.
"ACCESS DENIED CONTACT ADMIN 'DARKXWOLF17'"
I know many people have already seen this, but I believe that Uzi has either intentionally put a safety guard on both N and V from episode 5, or that she has unintentionally done this.
It would make sense if she made the active decision to do this, to prevent The Absolute Solver from trying to hijack V or N again. This is why I believe if Cyn were to try to erase or tamper V's memories, she'd run into Uzi's failsafe. I don't think she'd exclude V from her protection, but we really don't know V's fate for sure until episode 8.
Tumblr media
N finally runs into Nori, and as previously mentioned she now has the correct cross. She mentions he looks familiar. It's not because he's a Disassembly Drone, she already mentions this fact a few lines prior. I still believe there is huge potential for N to have killed Nori. It seems to be long ago since neither seem to really recognize each other beyond Nori's statement.
DDs don't vary too much in model, aside from 'female' versus 'male' models. Along with that, the two had much more important events happening in their lives, and N looks vastly different in his "murder" state as opposed to his normal one.
We don't know what exactly happened to Nori that had her ending up down here. I have a speculation that she likely wasn't down in the research labs the entire time, or else she likely would have found the Patch much sooner.
Tumblr media
Something I want to point out about Heart Nori is her attire.
She is seen wearing something akin to a mourning hat (aka a widow's cap). Clearly, she is alive (and she seems to be confident of Khan's state), so why exactly is she wearing this? The veil is meant for privacy for a woman's emotions while grieving, so what is she grieving?.
It could be Nori is grieving the life she once had or the life she could have had before Cyn came and destroyed it. She is mourning herself and her losses while trying to remedy them. I think the veil also symbolizes that she will likely be closed off to others, hence why she is so crass and straight to the point. Perhaps in the next episode, it will be removed when she potentially confronts Uzi.
It's clear Nori believes all the bad things in her daughter's life are because of her, as she states "I caused every horror in her life." But she doesn't just sit and wallow in her sorrows, she decides to remain pragmatic and address the situation as best as she can with her knowledge.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back with Cyn, or "Tessa" as she claims to be, she is seen walking through the same area shown before where Yeva resided. It seems the drones experimented on were chained up for precautions, as we also see several magnets on each drone's head. One of the drones even seems to have its teeth out and oil-coated on them.
Tumblr media
We see her entering into JCJenson's "Project Cabin-Fever Database" to find the list she had previously mentioned.
I won't lie, this part perplexes me. Cyn apparently wants to take these drones (and presumably any connected drones) down. I'm unsure if it means just the top two or the entire list. Does "corrupted" infer that the specific drone didn't survive The Solver? Or that The Solver actually worked on them? I'm assuming "No Effect" means exactly that: The Solver had no effect on them when trying to "infect" them with it.
Cyn purges the list after viewing this, perhaps because it says "PATCH.2.1.8" next to Yeva. She doesn't want anyone to find out about the patch. She presumes that both Yeva and Nori are dead, so this not being true doesn't contribute to the fact she purges this list.
Purging the list also seems to purge the entire room, as shortly after confirming the process the area explodes to pieces.
Tumblr media
We have an interesting encounter with Cyn and Doll here. Doll obviously believes she is talking to a human, and she asks about the patch. Presumably, she knew about this patch for a long while, just needing the key bug that Uzi found in episode 4 to obtain it since it was located somewhere underneath Cabin Fever Labs. Apparently, Cyn also needed this key bug, as it seems she couldn't gain access with just Tessa's skin suit. She knew about the patch from her previous encounters with Nori and Yeva, so her goal was to destroy it.
She tells Doll she essentially doesn't need her to go through with her plans, insinuating it's already too late to stop Cyn. Of course, Doll doesn't know this and is attacked by Cyn's true form after this short altercation.
This is startling (not referring to the jump scare, though it did its job), as Cyn knows that she's close to completing her goal. She doesn't need Doll at all, she is just another obstacle to eliminate (which she does so gleefully).
Tumblr media
We see the results of Cyn's attack on Doll. "Tessa" shows up quickly after, and uses that as a guise to kill Uzi. I don't think this is purposeful, as N and Uzi are already separated and unless Cyn knows N is approaching doesn't need to use Doll's death as an excuse to blame and kill Uzi.
Perhaps this bought Cyn more time if N showed, but I find it more likely as a happy accident, as N finds "Tessa" before she's about to pierce Uzi's core.
Although, I don't think Cyn actually expected N to kill "Tessa." I believe she thought that N and Tessa's relationship was too sturdy to have N ever consider hurting her, let alone beheading her. Along with the fact that Cyn no longer knows N as well as she previously did, especially since he met Uzi, she seems to have miscalculated N's priorities.
The following fight deserves a post of its own, along with the analysis of N and Uzi's relationship, so I won't go too deep into it now.
Tumblr media
So skipping that entire section (for now) let's jump back to Cyn. After Uzi and N's hug session, we see Cyn take Doll's body, proceeding to eat the girl's heart (which is seen writhing before being consumed). We can assume that the host is not necessarily dead until their heart is destroyed -- likely a big reason Cyn gave the Disassembly Drones so many offensive tools and the capability to consume Worker Drones: she wanted to create as many opportunities as possible to prevent a heart from surviving.
This may also explain why Nori survived, and why Yeva is presumed to be dead. Unfortunately, this means Doll is gone for good.
Cyn is labeled as what looks to be 001 (or 1001). We know she's not labeled as one of the experiments on Copper-9, but what was she the first model of? A normal worker drone? She was at the very bottom of a huge trash pile in episode 5, so this plays out if she was one of the very first models, especially one that may have been disposed of improperly early on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's obvious that the Absolute Solver existed before Cyn, but was this the first time it was able to successfully claim a host? It seems that The Absolute Solver and Cyn are one, and always have been since Cyn reawakened. Humans must have had evidence of The Solver existing beforehand though, since Cyn was marked with an armband here.
Something else to note about episode five...
Tumblr media
Other drones in this scene were also labeled 001 (or 1001) So I am assuming it's more of a batch number if anything.
Back to episode 7, it seems that Cyn had been in Tessa's skin for a long time. She likely died with the rest of the humans in the manor. It is intriguing how the skin hadn't rotted off, but let's assume that Cyn's Solver helps create flesh to keep up appearances and keep Tessa's skin... fresh. This can help explain the blood coming from "Tessa" in episode 6 when she's bitten by a Sentinel.
It seems that Cyn intends to consume both N and Uzi after revealing herself. She states that she's "Honestly starving," before disappearing down the flesh chasm made long ago.
Tumblr media
We see Uzi after her sacrifice... somewhere seemingly in space. Let's assume that this isn't some sort of vision/dream/hallucination she's seeing and that Cyn isn't manipulating Uzi's surroundings.
What she's seeing is Copper-9 from outside the planet... this isn't a flashback, nor is it the planet exploding. Remember Copper-9's core imploded on itself and sent bits of the planet out, hence why everything there is frozen over. I think she's seeing the core of (or supposedly the lack-there-of-one) Copper-9 here.
What is the core supposed to be here then? I'm not sure if it's meant to be similar to Earth where the core is made up of extremely hot metals. But with it exposed there's less pressure to help keep the core from melting (again, assuming it has a similar structure to Earth).
Copper-9 is no longer habitable for humans, so the existence of these metals in the core doesn't make sense.
Let's take a look at the scene before this.
Tumblr media
Me and a few others played with the idea that Uzi fell into a black hole at the bottom. While I think a fun theory, I don't think that makes sense. The yellow sparks likely have something to do with The Absolute Solver, and Uzi ending up hundreds (thousands?) miles away from Copper-9 and her loved ones.
Tumblr media
The way the light sparks reminds me of when Doll would teleport from place to place. I think Uzi may have been teleported away by Cyn since it seems Cyn was planning on consuming both her and N. It may have been a fluke on Cyn's part, though of course, we won't know for a while. Maybe Nori was able to manipulate The Solver in some way to prevent Uzi's death. Or perhaps Nori is also going to be in space scavenging or trying to determine a way back to Copper-9.
That's all I have for now. I'm planning on making a separate post for N and Uzi in this episode specifically at some point, along with some other character analysis and some final moments for others.

Highlights/interesting lore bits of the Liam AMA in GLITCHX
Drones were originally intended to be Pikmin-sized
Thad was going to be more important during the show's development, but became less important over time as the show became less "slice-of-lifey". This also applies to the MD's need to drink oil being mostly dropped
Episode 2 was originally a zombie infection plot but that got scrapped for the eldritch J one
N would probably like pizza
Copper-9 workers have personalities thanks to their adaptive AI, with them becoming more self-serving once the humans were gone (also Tessa's drones had said AI take over after she messed with their code enough)
Sentinels look that way because the humans were being overdramatic and wanted them to look cool. If the show had lower stakes and if the dino animation hadn't worked out, they would have looked like cores from Portal
the crew likes OCs being made so y'all can go off
the robo roaches are meant to be little clean-up bots (also episode 7 trailer thats pretty epic!!!!! New Cyn/solver voiceline!!!!) (ALSO SPRING!?!?!)

Little question:in the swap AU,do Doll and Cyn still speak in their original ways (Doll speaks in Russian and Cyn speaks with a very emotionless/robotic voice) and if so,does Eldritch L also speak in Russian just like Eldritch J originally spoke like Cyn?
Also I've been thinking about writing scripts of the MD episodes in the swap AU and I'm currently writing the Pilot's script,do you have any ideas that you could give me for it? (of course I'll show you the results)
I like to think, in this AU, Doll still speaks Russian, just a very robotic sounding Russian. By that logic, yes, Eldritch L would also speak the same language, since that's how the Solver would sound! And by proxy, that also means at some point N would as well. Cyn on the other hand, actually would have a normal voice! No robot filter on it or anything, she's just a normal girl in this AU!

Thinking about MD time travel fix it
Uzi falls into the pit and awakens in the scrapyard, memories scrambled and body unmoving. Tessa finds her, and Uzi’s purple eyes are like any drone she’s come across.
The only drone she knows with an eye color is Cyn after all.
Uzi’s not quite awake as Tessa brings her to the operating table - N’s probably with her, giving the little girl some extra strength. They open her up.
Guts poor out.
They close her back up.
Tessa’s worried and leaves N to keep an eye on Uzi while she goes through all the books she knows about drones to find anything that could cause this and how to fix it. As N waits, Cyn comes by and says she’ll watch over Uzi - it’s not like she’s be doing much else in the manor.
When Tessa comes back down, Uzi’s awake with Cyn latched onto her arm.
Uzi gets acclimated to the manor as Tessa tries to find anything about this strange drone. Her notes are filled with minor details - she hasn’t been this curious since she found Cyn.
Speaking of the small drone, she follows Uzi almost everywhere - save for the few times Uzi ends up in one of the larger, windowed rooms. Uzi’s cleaning one of these windows when she first collapses - seemingly overwhelmed by the heat. J is there, and she reluctantly drags Uzi to Tessa, ignoring how Cyn tells her to give her Uzi.
A few tests later, and they figure out Uzi has an incredibly low temperature buffer - that’s a problem Tessa can work on. As she’s messing around in the lab Uzi speaks up to give her some advice, which helps Tessa get an extra cooling device nestled in her chassis. It also leads Tessa to talk more to her newest family member, and bond over engineering stuff.
Eventually, though, Tessa does something that would require punishment. For a moment Uzi is still, after all humans deserve everything bad that’s coming to them.
Then she interposas herself between Louisa’s palm and Tessa’s face.
She explains to Louisa that she has her set of Asimov’s laws turned up above what’s normal - and now that her processors believe Tessa’s in danger, she can’t leave. Instead, Uzi will take punishments in her stead.
The crows keep their distance. They know one of their own.
When she comes back, Tessa and Cyn give her huge hugs. It’s also the first time she hears J thank anyone. N joins in the hug pile when he gets the chance and V warns her to be careful. She could die.
Uzi knows she can’t die. Not anymore.
Cyn becomes overprotective of Uzi after this - the smallest of scratches are smoothed over by eldritch arms. She’s with Uzi constantly. This makes Uzi’s job a bit of a struggle - but Cyn decides to put the smallest amount of effort in, leading them to get through their tasks at record speed. J is impressed at this - she had written off Cyn as useless, but the praise Uzi gives lets her know that Cyn just wasn’t motivated.
And Cyn is quite motivated.
Anyway initial thoughts done if you want more tell me

I know I said I didn't think MD was going to go down the supernatural route. That being said, the solver is looking more and more eldritch.
Tessa said it mutates in damaged AI. Not that it is a damaged AI. In fact, Tessa never calls it an AI.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Add that to all the occult symbols in the mansion, the summoning circles, alchemical symbols, the leviathans cross, and whatever this entity is-
Tumblr media
-and it looks increasingly like the absolute solver isn't a mere corrupted AI.
Not saying that the absolute solver is necessarily a supernatural entity that's torn its way into material reality using damaged drones as its vessels.....but it could be. Tessa's mom does call CYN the antichrist, and their name is literally CYN(SIN).
Pure speculation. It totally could be a hyper-advanced AI born out of damaged AI mutations and everything else is simple religious symbolism, yet the idea that it's all the same AI that possesses any drone with damaged AI is strange.

MURDER DRONES E7 ANALYZATIONS/THEORIES
Since we're getting MD news today and it will most likely be either another teaser trailer or full trailer for E7 and it will probably reveal some things, I figured I'd list what I've noticed and my theories before then. I would've made a Things I Noticed video on it, but since I'm still finishing up the one for E5 I won't be able to do that. I'll still make it after, but for now, this will have to do! (Note: I posted this on Twitter and YouTube before Glitch posted the new teaser for E7, but forgot to post it here. Whoops lol)
IF YOU WANT TO WAIT UNTIL I COME OUT WITH THE VIDEO DO NOT READ BELOW THIS!!
~E7&8 Teaser~
1. The goopy fleshy covered entrance has most likely been foreshadowed since E4. There was a drawing of it among others with the dead drone that Uzi found under the floor.
2. The yellow light by the box is not a piece of V or a Disassembly Drone. It's just a lantern.
3. Theory: The scenes of N and Uzi going to hug each other and then Uzi hugging N and crying are two separate moments. The first one is going to be more comedic. N and Uzi hear something that scares them and their automatic reaction is to hug each other. Like something out of Scooby Doo. For the second moment N appears to be stiff. Unmoving. Almost as if he's in a trance, shut down, etc. Remember that Uzi has admin control of him and V, so if she wanted to she could most likely put him in SLEEP MODE or the like. Why would she do that? Because she's about to face Cyn/the Absolute Solver (her standing alone in that teaser GiF lends to that) and she doesn't want him to get hurt or worse, so she makes him stay behind. Before she leaves though she gives him one last hug good bye. Hence the crying.
4. N being dragged away. Some have said it looks like what he grabs is Uzi's beanie. From what I can tell, that's not the case. It's just a rock that N accidentally grabs in a panic. If it was Uzi's beanie I believe they would've had him look at it in desperation. As for who he's being dragged by, there's multiple choices. Cyn, Eldritch V, Nori or Yeva. It could even be Uzi. Also, I believe he's being dragged into the same opening that we see in the beginning. The one covered in the goopy flesh stuff. Because I can see part of the same box on the left side and I think the rock is even there on the floor.
5. The shot of the Sentinels chained up. We know Nori treated the Sentinels like "pets", so it wouldn't surprise me that they're hers. This could even be what leads to the teaser image of Nori and Yeva standing in the entrance of the Cathedral.
6. I've seen some say it's the manor from E5. No, it is not. It's a cathedral. The design is completely different from the manor.
7. If you look on the right written in blood are the words "THE END" and "NULL" and there's a drawing of what looks like a corpse spire. You can see these best when the lightning flashes.
8. Nori's locker being closed. The one closing it is Tessa. I can tell not just by her hand, but her bow enters the frame briefly.
9. The moment of N and Uzi turning to look at something. Uzi's left hand light is yellow, which is the same one she breaks/snaps N's hand with in the next shot. This could be after that moment, and this shows she was under the Solver's influence. What also leads me to believe those two shots are connected is the red lighting and their expressions as well as body language. For the lighting, in the first shot Uzi's back is to it. In the second shot, it's N's back. Why the swap? Because between those moments I believe more happens and they move around. Then Uzi snaps out of it, realizes what she did to N's hand and starts apologizing to him. N looks scared of her, because he is, which would make Uzi feel even worse. Guilty. In fact, what if she feels so guilty this is the moment that leads to her making the decision that she needs to face Cyn/the Solver on her own? That shot of Uzi hugging N also has red lighting, and who's back is facing it? Uzi's.
10. The cross Uzi is holding. There was that moment in E5 when Louisa (Tessa's mom) called Cyn "little anti-Christ". Why I think Uzi is holding the cross is because N remembered what Louisa said and tells Uzi to hold it. Or gives it to her. All in the hopes it'll help hold back the Solver's corruption.
~Nori and Yeva Teaser Image~
Not too much to say about this one. We never did see Yeva or Nori actually die. Just Yeva's body in E3 and Khan's comment of "And to put your mother out of her misery when the Murder Drones got to her with that nanite acid," in the pilot, so I wasn't too surprised to see they were still alive. However, what does strike me as odd is Yeva's stance and expression. Until this image Yeva has always looked terrified/horrified, so why does she look almost bored in the image? It's odd. Unless she's changed since then. Or...here's a random thought...what if Uzi swapped sentience with her? Lol highly doubt it, but it'd be funny.
~Uzi Standing Alone GiF~
1. Uzi is holding something in her left hand and it shimmers in the light, so it's gotta be something reflective. To me it looks like a necklace. Nori's? Yeva's? Or both?
2. The lights flickering in the background are candles. Who lit them?
3. The thing hanging from the ceiling in the background looks like it's either a lantern or one of those medieval cages.
4. Between Uzi's stance and her possibly holding her mom's necklace, I can see her thinking to herself, 'Don't worry, everyone. I'm going to put an end to this. No matter what.'
~Extra Things~
Cyn's eyes are going to have two small x's for eyes instead of the usual single large X we've seen, which might be a reference to Liam's previous work, Internecion Cube.
I believe current Tessa is either not human or at least not 100% human. Possibly a mix of organic and machine. After all the Solver has consumed human flesh.

Zombie Drone Human Mimicry
Late-night MD posting always leads to fun ideas.
It's pretty clear by now that the worker drones of Copper 9 are evolving to actively mimic human society, whether they realize it consciously or not. They wear human clothes, take on human social roles, mimic eating and drinking even though they don't need to, have beds and pretend to sleep, and even go to school when all that knowledge could literally be downloaded into their head in a few minutes.
What's the apogee of said mimicry? The all-consuming desire to not just mimic humans, but to become a human. The only surefire way to avoid being discarded.
How? Well, that's simple. Eat them.
For normal worker drones, their fate would be a bullet to the head courtesy of a JCJ technician and an NDA agreement signed by the unfortunate customer instructing them to keep quiet about this extremely rare quirk of worker drone programming. Presuming said customer survived of course, which they always do......according to JCJ.
But not for solver-infected drones.
Tumblr media
We know the solver can reshape the host's body, transforming organic and inorganic matter.
Imagine Cyn, or another solver-infected drone within the late stages of mimicry OS corruption literally eating people and grafting their mismatched body parts onto themselves, all in an effort to become human and blend into society.
An eldritch abomination of metal and flesh that becomes more and more human with every life it takes. From normal worker drones to nightmarish in-betweens, to near-perfect human replicas that can only be distinguished from the real thing with an x-ray machine.
I wish I had a shred of artistic talent to illustrate this, but you'll just have to trust that it looks super cool and scary in my head.
A whole new meaning to zombie drones.

So about your MD analysis about the Solver...
So if the Solver is a living entity and all the blood and flesh is going directly to its stomach wouldn't it get full itself eventually? Also, regarding the flesh portals wouldn't it have digested/converted what it's eaten into energy already?
(This is the post for context - for new viewers/readers.) (Minor Episode 7 spoilers)
Well, for a comparison that comes to mind:
If you've ever seen Fullmetal Alchemist, I can compare my idea of the Solver to Gluttony. When Father created him, he attempted to recreate the Gate of Truth in his stomach, but failed. That failure instead created a False Gate in his stomach that left it as an infinite void of nothing. Now, Gluttony lives up to his namesake, as no matter how much he eats, he will never satiate his hunger or become full.
I think the Solver entity has something similar going on, especially considering all the black hole imagery associated with it. Black holes are infinite voids that consume all - not even light or sound can escape its vacuum; it truly is all-consuming. If I had to guess, I'd say the Solver entity is some sort of eldritch being with an endless void of a stomach, much like Gluttony. This is why it wants to consume so much and why it seems almost like it cannot be satisfied, no matter how much it eats.
Going back to FMA for a moment, we also see when Gluttony accidentally swallows Ling, Edward, and Envy, the three wander through the endless void. There is just an endless sea of blood up to their knees, as well as several skeletons/corpses and pieces of buildings/etc. that he's eaten over the 160 years he's been alive. There were even pieces of Xerxes' ruins, which very obviously had been there for a really long time. None of these things would still exist (or be as intact as they were) if he was able to completely digest it; this seems to imply that he can't (or at least not with stuff swallowed via his False Gate ability), which likely contributes to his endless hunger.
Much like that, if the Solver entity has a similarly endless void of a stomach, it also might not be able to actually digest everything that it eats. With the Disassembly Drones consuming oil to keep from overheating, it seems to be more-so acting like coolant for them, rather than them actively digesting/converting it to energy. We don't exactly know WHAT the entity is, so what if the blood and flesh it's consuming is for a similar purpose? That's probably not the case, considering Cyn explicitly said she was hungry and referred to eating things. But is it a case like Gluttony's, where it just can't digest what it eats, contributing to its endless hunger? And if that's the case, that would also still explain the flesh portals being holes into its stomach as well as it basically using wormhole magic to transport flesh places when its powers are invoked by users.
Or is it a case of the method of eating for the entity? As mentioned before, it seemed Gluttony was unable to digest things eaten using his False Gate ability, but he probably can digest stuff that he actually puts in his mouth to eat. Maybe this is a similar case? Maybe the giant NULL void is the entity's actual "mouth" and that's the only way it can somewhat satiate its hunger and digest what it's eaten? Could be at least partially why the Solver is so fixated on consuming the entire planet, rather than just Drones and/or humans specifically.
I kinda rambled a bit there, but I hope that all makes sense. shifeeofs

One of the only ways my mind will be eased at the end of the season, other than rescuing Cyn, is for N, V, J, and the other MDs to be converted back into workers drones. I know they look cool and everything, but think about it. They were unwilling minions to an eldritch monstrosity, abused by people who had power over them, and on top of all that, they lost their own bodies and were turned into biomechanical monstrosities. Repost if you agree, it's just one small way to regain their old lives.

Help a dream I had became a theory about Nori-
Okay uh, so you know how I’m working on this drawing about this weird creature I saw in my dream?
That dream also had a MD theory in it-
(Dream creature explanation first)
The creature was like a mixture of the other mother from coraline, puppet from FNAF, and an arachnid
She killed many people and uh- in front of me too, but for some reason I wasn’t scared at all.
(Now here’s the weird part where Murder Drones somehow comes in.)
Okay so the creature used to be Nori, she was presumed dead after a lab incident, an explosion, (AND FOR SOME REASON AN EXTREMELY SPECIFIC TIME THE DISASTER HAPPENED) at 1:09 pm. She was presumed dead for a while, until that odd creature revealed herself, and everyone for some reason knew it was Nori.
How the frick did the brain make this lil lore piece in its slumber. Moving on,
Here’s the theory I made up today (after my dream)
okay so you see the short second clip of Nori with the black Eldritch tentacles coming from her back as she stares at the camera??
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What if, She’s still somehow alive, but she’s an Eldritch being?
I never knew that my dreams could create a theory like this-
And for the lab incident where she was presumed dead, what if it was where they thought the sentinels went out of control and killed all of the workers??? Even though it seems Nori can control them, what if they thought she lost control of them?
And for her Eldritch form, it’s like Cyn. She has a version (more of a hologram) of her to look like a normal maid drone, but her solver form (her main form) is from the ending of her torso as the worm-like Eldritch form
Just a theory.
I will not stop thinking about this until we know more about Nori.

Urobuchi gen has a visual novel called saya no uta or song of saya which is about a guy who after a neurosurgery operation sees everything as fleshy and organic but a mysterious girl “saya” is seemingly the only one who is not a fleshy and organic person is because she is actually a eldritch monster from a different reality so as an homage to saya when she “blooms” cyn’s witch form has the appendages and the fleshy organic appearance and obviously is a reference to how in the episode home every we seen cyn it’s the solver instead so like with being perceived as a normal girl by the main protagonist it’s the same thing with Cyn, it just came to me today it’s almost bizarre it’s likely a sheer coincidence but I took inspiration for cyn’s witch form. Massive fan of this blog plus I named dr habit’s witch form “chloris” and I have a question how powerful would the witch forms of the wasp king, Cyn, dr habit, and the imaginary friends are and the threat levels of them, plus like how two’s body was used as a lure by the seamstress, cyn’s body would be also used as a lure by her witch form to trick anyone into believing she was a normal worker drone.

Anon, I just wanna say that I love all of this, and I am certain that every other MD fan here is also gonna be real fucking happy with this concept- it's so detailed and fitting!! I also like the callback to Gen's other works, and how it aligns well with what we know about Cyn so far!
Thank you so, so much, and sincerest apologies for not replying to this earlier :c I also love the name you chose for Dr. Habit's witch!
