The reason why I love Elain so much is because I am Elain. I am often seen as quiet and meek and mild. I’m told I don’t have a backbone or “it’s a good thing you’re pretty gabby”. I get taken advantage of because I am kind and considerate.

I’ve have lost somebody that I loved because somebody else interfered and said I wasn’t good enough for that person it made me feel like I was worthless.

And I think most of the people who love her are the same

So yeah, I love Elain because she’s relatable. because she proves that you can be kind and still stand up for yourself and others and not let other people push you around. It’s not about a ship war. That’s not why I want her book. I want her book because I am her. And I want to see her grow while I’m growing myself.

HOFAS BONUS CHAPTER !

Spoilers ahead ⚠️

Some points to be made, first of all, we see in the Bryce, Azriel and Nesta’s bonus chapter, all three characters getting to know each other a little bit better, also Nesta asking Bryce to play a song and Azriel humming and enjoying the music.

This scene is particularly interesting, because it’s clear that both Nesta and Azriel are protecting the other fae from Velaris, they say that the war that happened during ACOWAR was declared just on her and azriel. Which means they’re protecting the others, not giving up too much information about their personal lives.

In this scene Bryce asks both Nesta and Azriel about mates and Azriel is less than enthusiastic to answer about it, he’s avoiding the subject and being monosyllabic about it, which makes the “mates” topic very sensitive for him until now, despite the fact that’s been months since the solstice. (I see you elriel angst 😉)

Azriel also mentions his mother, saying she’s “anything but awful” are we getting Rosehall anytime soon?

This is definitely my favorite part, where Bryce puts on her favorite song, and describes it, how important the song was to her and how “it carried her from light into darkness and then back into the light” which is really interesting considering Azriel seems to really like the song.

Which makes a great parallel between the “Light and Dark” elriel scene in ACOWAR.

Later on, after she stopped playing the song, Azriel started humming in it, softly and to himself.

This brings me back to ACOMAF!

Where the book of breathings mentions “trembling fawn” along with “sing me”, and the order of the phrases really connect with feyre with “lady of the night” and then feysand with “love me”, then nesta with “princess of decay” and then nessian with “touch me” and finally elain with “trembling fawn” and elriel with “sing me” as we know azriel is a shadowsinger!

Offer and permission. Light and dark. We’ve seen these two in different eyes within the IC. Azriel and Elain are connected. There’s more to them than just “lust.” Why do they deny them?

But want this? Elain is not herself with Lucien. Artists can draw them happy and loving each other but it’s not like that in canon. Elain is unhappy. Lucien is unhappy. We can see this is how Elain truly feels.

I’m so sick and tired of people constantly shitting on Elain and her character. All people do nowadays is hate on feminine characters and it’s wrong.

Everyone wants characters who start off as “badass” and have no actual story. They’re just there to wield a sword and fight. They want a character who only has hard edges and no softness in sight. It’s stupid.

You know what I want? I want a character who is soft and feminine and at the same time, knows how to handle herself. ELAIN. I want a character who still tries to see the good in things when so much bad has happened. ELAIN. I want a character who has actual growth and who is willing and capable to do so much to help others. ELAIN. I want a character who has already done so much but has the potential to do so much more. ELAIN. I want a character who isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty when needed but doesn’t have the hard edges that make her seem one dimensional. ELAIN. I want a character who is kindhearted, loving, gentle, caring, but also hardworking, sticks up for herself, determined, trustworthy, willing to do whatever she can to help her loved ones. ELAIN.

I don’t even consider any “girlboss” characters warriors and I don’t consider them stronger than those who actually have more dimension to them. I consider Elain Archeron stronger. I consider Juliette Ferrars Stronger. I consider Evangeline Fox stronger. Feyre goddamn Archeron. Because they don’t need to wipe their tears away, they don’t need to hide their feelings and they have more personality to them that makes them seem more REAL. They don’t need a sword, an axe or training 24/7 to prove that they’re strong. You see strength in their kindness, in their everyday lives. And that shows the reality of it.

Does Elain have telepathic powers?

I’ve seen a lot of Elriel stans (@offtorivendell @merymoonbeam @wingedblooms , and others), theorizing about the possibility of Elain having telepathic powers. And one of the scenes we always connect this theory is this one:

But something that I didn’t noticed, that I highlighted in the first image, was how her eyes were “glazed” after Feyre’s planted the image of the Suriel in her head.

And this reminded me of this passage, that Feyre noticed about Drakon, in Acowar too:

Drakon’s eyes were “glazed” too when he was communicating to someone far away…

We are talking about a character that was inside the most powerful object of evil/good magic and survived 😂but she can’t take azriel because the man tortured people?There is a reason why the cauldron favored Elain and I assure you is not only because she is lovely there is more to elain than what we know which is why her book is next.

So please let’s stop using your wishes as an explanation of what will happen in the books. Use what evidence we were given and you will get you answer because believe me it was obvious.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Lella and this is my first time starting a Tumblr blog for a specific fandom, usually I'm more of a silent observer and very much shy. I decided to start this blog just for fun and to challenge myself to something that I never did so here I am!

I love the Acotar series and since i've read it Elriel stole my heart, they are perfect for each other I'll never belive otherwise!

I know the majority associate Elriel with TS songs (I like her don't get me wong) but for me there are so many other songs that are perfect for this ship and I want to share them with you all!

I am a little nervous especially because English is not my first language (I'm Italian) and i'm way better in reading it than writing!

I also want to thank every member of this fandom (especially Elriel) for your works from writers to artist and also theorist!
