My baby spent most of the morning crawl-chasing me around, desperately pointing at the pupper to be allowed a hug (which she was finally granted just before nap time when I got the back seam closed, and she hugged it So Hard, then gummed those antennae real good). Toddler is demanding he be allowed to sleep with it tonight. So isopups are VERY snugglable, is what I'm saying.

like particularly i see life series pearl as a wolf, evo pearl as a moth and empires pearl as an avian/golden elytrian/deity etc etc,,, and well hermitcraft varies with season tee-hee (alien, salmon, yknow)

not prompted by literally anything but i think that considering shadows fur coloring is likely a result of his black arms dna then its very rare if not impossible for normal hedgehogs to look like that . like if you ran into another black hedgehog with red stripes they probably just dyed it to look that way
#i like imagining that little animal guys in the sonic universe dye their fur/hair/quills/whatever sometimes i think its cute#its kinda hard to come up with an exact standard for whats probably natural and whats probably dyed though#considering. sonic characters already come in a rainbow of different fur colors#maybe if somebody has markings that are just a different shade of the same color the rest of their body is#or are the same color as their muzzle or are just a ''common'' color like black or white or whatever#and/or the markings look very similar to markings that a non mobian version of that animal could have#then theyre most likely natural?#and if they have markings that are a completely different color from the rest of their body and dont look like natural markings#that species could have then theyre likely dyed#i say likely because there could still be some exceptions to this i feel

@solrika and I were talking a several days ago about Lasan culture and I just had the need to draw some goth Lasats after discussing the relationship Lasat's have with white and black clothing/fur and how the colors symbolize death/holiness and mourning.

Fur farming is not good for the environment or human health and no amount of wishful thinking will make that so. The amount of antibiotics and meat used to raise the animals, the feces they produce, and the diseases they pass on to humans are immense but difficult to quantify, as the FDA doesn't oversee fur farms the way it does other agriculture. Neither do animal welfare laws apply to most fur farming operations, as they weren't written with those species in mind.
#fur trapping is also horrific#i think a lot of people don't realize this#i've seen animals slowly strangled over months after 'escaping' snares#animals lose limbs and parts of their faces#it's not some cute wholesome story#if anyone wants to see my dying zebra photos they can#but i don't like looking at them
