And one more thing, can you imagine the hilarity that is Varric having to watch Hawke fall in love with Fenris/Anders and then watching Lavellan fall in love with Solas?

After mr. "What has magic touched that it did not spoil?" and mr. Blow up a chantry for the mages he thinks that this time his friend might just be in safe hands. It's Chuckes! He hates tea and wears comfortable clothes and yeah, he is a bit weirdly fixated on the history of ye good ol' empires (like who in Andraste's tits asks a surface dwarf about the fall of the dwarven empire, seriously now) but he is polite enough and intelligent. And then he starts pulling shit like "for all the dalish got wrong, they got one thing right, they made you" and starts teaching Sera how to fight guerilla wars and poor Varric thinks to himself "well, shit, here we go again".

And the funniest part is that no matter what Varric may have expected, Solas did so much more.

Sera and Dagna seem like such a good match personality-wise that I never considered what a fascinating couple they are

Sera, an elf who is at best very uncomfortable with magic, ends up in a relationship with Dagna, a dwarf who loves magic so much she begged a stranger to take her from her home and bring her to a completely unknown and very different world just so she might be able to learn more about it. How did they even meet? What brought them together? How does Dagna make Sera feel safe? Or is it Sera's growth as a person, her experiences with diverse perspectives and her own maturing views on the world that allows her to reach out to Dagna?

Dagna and Sera are both so fundamentally lonely because their chosen path is more important than companionship. Being together must feel like defying fate. I'm obsessed with them.

been Thinking about warden mahariel going on the search for a cure to the Calling

every warden/origin is going for their friends, their found family, their lover, etc but a Mahariel is also going for themselves. Yes the others are too but for Mahariel there’s a different kind of selfishness behind it— because they were tainted. They know what it’s like. They know what awaits a warden going to their calling better than anyone else. Mahariel is searching for a cure for their own sake as much as any other reason.

Mahariel, who was on the edge of death and madness, the taint this close to taking them. Mahariel, who lived only by sheer chance of Duncan being there to recruit them. Mahariel, who watched the taint take Tamlen and destroy their closest clan mate. Mahariel, who didn’t just go through all the horrors of the darkspawn and the archdemon and the broodmothers, but who had also been tainted and stared corruption straight in the face, balanced on a ledge a hairsbreadth away from it.

Mahariel is looking for a cure to the calling because they’re fucking terrified.

One thing that we do not talk about is how Anders would join Solas 100%. Like Anders/Justice would be so down for all of that. Solas wouldn't even have to recruit him. One day he wakes up and all of a sudden Fen'Harel Super Secret Base No Black Wolves Here Vhenan™ has three cats. There is also a dude in booty shorts with "dread wolf take you" written on them teaching recruits how to make DYI cheap explosives in the kitchen.
