This card features Dracomon along with Huckmon and Zubamon! But do you know what connects these three?
Each one of them was designed as a part of a Digimon Anniversary celebration!
Dracomon was designed for the 10th anniversary and was revealed during the Greatest of Digimon event. Huckmon was released for the 15th anniversary celebration and was also featured in the Digivice Ver. 15th toy. And Zubamon, as you can easily deduct from the large 20 on its sword horn, was designed for the 20th anniversary. As part, it was also included in the Digital Monster Ver.20th v-pet.

Survive Week, Day 5 (Villains)
“Thank you for everything, Dracomon. Without you, I’d feel so alone and powerless in this world.”
“Don’t be sad, Haruchika! You’re not alone, and as long as we’re together, I can become as powerful as you need me to be.”
Before the Master, before the ruin and the tyranny and the endless, aching anger… perhaps, for a time… there was just a boy, despondent over the fact he was forced to become a sacrifice, and the dragon-beast (…god?) who followed him everywhere.

I had another series of ideas for this week that was going to be focused on Haruchika, but this was the only one I had time for. I always end up thinking the human antagonists in Digimon are interesting, so maybe I’ll make time to finish the rest someday! But for now, here’s a little sympathy for him, as well as my headcanon for Fanglongmon’s rookie form.
I’m actually obsessed with any and all parallels you might be able to draw between Haruchika and Takuma, so I almost made his partner an Agumon… but Dracomon felt much more interesting to me, and has some lore that seemed quite appropriate for this pair.

Dracomon EX3-037 by sasasi from EX-03 Theme Booster Draconic Roar
This card references the Digimon Reference Book entries of Coredramon (Blue) and Coredramon (Green) according to which Dracomon will evolve into Coredramon (Blue) if it eats a lot of a gem called Blue Diamante, and into Coredramon (Green) if it eats a lot of Green Malachite. In the card we can see the two Dracomon eat green and blue gem stones respectively, which are likely meant to be the Green Malachite and Blue Diamante mentioned in the Reference Book.
