recent con experience made me realize I really don’t give a shit about new anime recently like nothing caught my eye I barely liked anything I saw to buy. Only thing I think I actually really liked was this lupin figure of him holding a lamp post I thought it was so cool and smth I’ve never seen before but he was kinda out of my budget and too small for me to justify it.

I really love official art with Doctor in it because they are invariably, consistently a Creature in it
This one, for example, is a nice day out with a squad and a half. Amiya is there because of course they are going to bring the daughter along, plus it’s on company dime and she’s the CEO, you have Rhodes Island’s Handsomest, Elysium, making sure to ‘accidentally’ pose and take off the sunglasses all model like for the photo, you got Ceobe with the bright cord Reeboks, Specter right out of Dorohedoro with the Athletics ‘94 and a summer rich girl kinda fit to contrast, sipping on orange juice, Exusiai in the Toycore fit that she somehow manages to rock prim proper, and then,
Doctor with the cute pins, a special white, elongated summer visor under the hoodie that makes you wonder how many helmets and in how many colors do they own, brown ears to match with Amiya, of course, pondering the absolute SHIT out of that pamphlet for a 3-star deployment in the amusement park,
And the Schrödinger’s Adidas tracksuit. Where do the stripes begin? Do they just... Fade? Orange socks? No wonder W and Ines are terrified of this maniac. Who is this creature?

Because I’m trying to archive/collect even more media (in light of the hbo max debacle), I ordered a copy of dorohedoro on ebay...
It arrived today, sealed up, sticker of authenticity, right?
But PLEASE look at the art this company used for the dvd menus:
main menu--official art, seems fairly normal
setup--fanart? but based on some original Hayashida art. Hmmmm

yeah i have a few!! i initially wrote a longer post explaining them all and then tumblr generously deleted it before i could save so lmao here's some photos!
very first tattoo in gainesville. the hands holding came from a stamp my friend bought at a curiosities store in nyc, the dagger was me being edgy and cool. cool fact about this one: i found out years later from a post on here about a book of russian prison tattoos and this is one of them about gay lovers or something cool as fuck like that. it's sick and is probably my favorite of all because it was my first
insanely done dorohedoro tat by a really talented guy in orlando who is always mega booked up but he immediately took my appointment because he was stoked to do a dorohedoro tattoo and, in his words, "thank you for not making me do another fucking gojo tattoo i'm at my limit" LMFAO. i gave him official art and i told him to go crazy do whatever. he totally went above and beyond i could have imagined
these are a few stick and pokes from an old friend. i also have a little spaceship one one side of my wrist and an alien head on the other. they also poked sachiel's head (from evangelion) on my thigh, as well as ''Never knows best' in mamimi's handwriting on my left upper thigh
these are all on my left arm. 2d is my newest gift from my friend from my birthday in august and the kewpie is from another good friend as a moving to la parting gift
i also have a sailor jerry traditional snake on my right thigh and a traditional flower on my shin from the same apprentice artist
all my tattoos are in black and white with the exception of the red for my snakes tongue and 2d. i think those are all of them haha. thanks for asking :-)

I need to go to sleep, but the Delicious in Dungeon/Dungeon Meshi discussion is reminding me of Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin. When the title sounds weird in English, and the Japanese isn't too hard to grasp, I can see why people prefer the Japanese. For Dungeon Meshi I feel like it makes even more sense because Dungeon is borrowed so directly from English, so "Dungeon Meshi" is not hard to say. It's shorter, even. I get why it needed an English title, because meshi isn't a commonly known word, but I bet it'll become a lot more well known now.
I feel like this might be an ongoing list of how titles get treated, as I think of them.
