But, think about it.
She wears practically nothing normally, a skimpy top and shorts, and we can see she has no scars, wounds, or anything from burns or sparks.
So when smithing, she either has another actual outfit she wears to properly protect herself or is too strong to get hurt by Forge Shenanigans (but I think she would likewise work with way more complex processes, so).
I personally believe she’s surprisingly good at self-care because she’s not a shitter or dumb, she is just incredibly playful and whimsical, but that doesn’t mean she won’t take her craft seriously, including the care that goes into it.

DRIMO KENZAN… IKUZO!!!!
Nian: On days she went out, smells like cigarettes, booze, and spice from hanging out in absurdly good obscure restaurants and mahjong parlors. On off days, she smells surprisingly good, of expensive shampoo and skincare cream.
Dusk: On busy days, straw and ink, strong and memorable, but after a few weeks, an acquired taste that you miss when noticing the absence of. On off days, sweet, somehow, and warm, like a lovely lazy Sunday.
Ling: Raw, potent, primeval, woman. The sloppy, clumsy, drunk kiss of smells, one that repels if you are far, and attracts if you are near.
Chongyue: On workout days, strong and sweaty, energized, energizing, inviting you to practice your forms as well. On off days, gentle but enveloping, almost like sunlight.
Shu: Fragrance of soil and nature, of sweat glistening on a lithe, sinewy, toned build. If it’s that strong and present and identifiable on the open field, you can only wonder how it is indoors.

On N12, Thunderers were doing fine enough to survive until you can fuse them into High Thunderers, sometimes needing the DEF buff from S3 to get there. If you’ll do a map with lots of Shattered Champions, you use S2 and block with Defenders (who can be healed) instead to focus on damage and CC. The Corrupting Heart feels… Not super consistent. S2 takes too long to activate for it to matter when it’d be most important in these maps: Early map. I much prefer throwing out Liskarm or Nian and then put a healer on them.
Also, with Module lv 3, you have 8 Thunderers off rip. Use them. They are disposable. If using them disposably is the move, then do that. Let them die weakening Shattered Champions, then throw a new one once it dies. That IS a good use of them.
Doing some experimentation with routing and comps for Ending 2 N15. This run was N12 and involved no Reed, no Typhon, and no Vanguards, instead grabbing other powerhouses. DefenderSupporter squad, Jessica opener.
As expected, Ling is just damn godlike. I’d not used her before this run, not even on my N15 climb, but I gave her a go here and, yeah, given how important Block and bulk are in IS4, as well as early run hell in N15, being able to choose several extra melee dudes or ranged dudes to bring on just one squad slot is mental. Plus, Arts isn’t gimped by brain damaged “balancing” this tine around, so that helps.
Eben is Eben. Being able to shoot Ganon Cannons helps a LOT, especially if you get any damage increases for him due to how he scales. Necrosis Module has also been great! That ATK% debuff is quite potent.
Protectors are such an interesting class in AK. They went from Great in the early game to completely needless throughout most of the lifespan of the game after it turned into Tower Offense. And now? Their stock rise again, many non-OHKO-bulky-still-damaging enemies have ways to reach your lines now instead of enemies being “dies quickly and does more damage” or “breaks your entire line if not bursted”. IS4 really needs you to just Hold A Dude sometimes! Especially early map! Because IS4 maps are fast! Protectors being the Vanguards of Defenders, to me, is an interesting thing.
Warfarin S1 is a godsent. I’m so glad I m3’d it. It REALLY makes defense a lot stronger. Wanderers are godlike as usual what’s new. In Boss 2, you can cover two “checkpoints” for Eik with just one!
Pozy, to one’s surprise, also stupid good in IS4. Her damn typewriter summon is just too damn good.

I was playing IS4 while huddled up listening to vtuber drama videos last night, you know, catching up on my netlore, and I couldn’t help but remember the weirdo I had around that defended Hololive like their life depended on it. I’d ask “what is it about corpos that makes their fans like this?” but I know the answer.
Anyhow: Enjoy streamers — which is what vtubers are — in a non-parasocial way, and remember they are people that deserve basic human respect but also who aren’t your friends.
