Some of ya'll severely underestimate just how much Minthara loves Karlach. Out of all the companions, Karlach is the only one that Minthara has no negative opinions about. She doesn't have a mean or cruel thing to say about or to Karlach. Now, she's pretty kind to Shadow and Lae'zel, but she can still be an asshole to them from time to time. Most of Minthara's comments about Karlach is praise and approval.

If you do the Karlach origin and you have romanced her, she will urge Karlach to return to Avernus. If Karlach chooses not to, Minthara will cry. This is the only scene in the game where Minthara cries and shows that level of emotional vulnerability. Lol, she didn't even cry when she was being tortured in Moonrise and thought she was gonna die! She tries to persuade Karlach by basically saying, "I'm going to personally throw hands with Zariel regardless on whether or not you're with me, so you may as well come with me." That vengence paladin in her is really shining through. And Minthara is a paladin of her word. Even if Karlach does choose not to return and dies, and enraged and heartbroken Minthara will walk right into Hell and invent a new flame so hot not even Zariel can resist the heat.

If you do the Karlach origin in which you go to Avernus but do not romance Minthara, she will be excited to see Karlach at the reunion party alive and happy. She also says that once she reclaims her house, she has every intention of joining Karlach in Avernus and she does this completely unprompted! Karlach does not even ask and Minthara is just offering her an army once she has one, and she will provide it free of charge. Karlach can ask Minthara why she's doing all of this. Minthara kind of not so subtly admits that she's in love with Karlach, but, of course, won't use the words "love" and she dances around it.

Romanced or not, Minthara is willing to go head first into Avernus on Karlachs behalf to demolish Zariel. Do you have any idea how huge that is? Minthara has been nothing but power hungry the entire game and is constantly clawing to get more. But in this moment, she is putting all desire for power on furlough just for Karlach. She is going to wage a war against Zarial and all of Avernus for the life of just one person, a person who might still die in the end. If Karlach does not romance Minthara, she is still putting her own ambition and desire for power on hold to help Karlach in which she'd gain no benefit other than Karlach being alive.

You cannot convince me that Minthara isn't canonically in love with Karlach.

PS: even the VA for Minthara, Emma Gregory, ships these two. In almost every interview Emma Gregory has done, she specifically mentions the romance with Karlach and its impact for Minthara's overall character arc.

It is time. PART TWO OF THE BROKENGRAVITY LORE!!!

-When Mary is asking Lillian to take care of Newton, Newton says who’ll protect his mom, and Ashleigh says “I will.” Even Mary is slightly shocked by Reids answer

-in the same comic, next panel, Ashleigh notes bringing more than enough fuel, as well as saying “and who’ll listen to your absent minded singing, Mary? I’m sorry - Dr. Sommers.” She called her Mary before correcting herself, as well as (how i interpret it,) she ACTUALLY listens to Mary singing.

-Nothing Reid did was personal, even Ash had nothing against her as well as “you and the other one (Ashleigh). You both are so captivated by him….i suppose it makes sense for you, he was made in your image”

-Ashleigh protecting Mary from Ash hurting/killing her

Twice. Which by the way!! Ashleigh is most of the time unable to even get a VOICE LINE in, so this is a LOT of effort to save Mary

In Pathfinders Quest, we get to see more of how Ashleigh interacts with the other members of the team. And shes defiantly more,, blunt and shows that she doesnt care for them. When Amélie makes a comment asking “is zis how you treated Dr.Somers?” Ashleigh immediately retorts “you arent half the scientist she was” meaning she still holds Mary in high regard.

-Shes still sensitive about Mary as a whole, being unable to really smile at what Newton says, as well as being hesitant to say thank you

-She picked up Marys speech!! Which only happens if your close with people, (start saying a new word around your friends/ partner, see how quick they pick it up)

- Ash saving Mary! Pre Mary entering the code, as well as in the middle of a spat between them

Seconds later, Ashleigh says

Even though Leigh wasnt awake yet, she remembered Newton

I apologize now if this isnt as well worded as it should be😔 but yeah!

A messy doodle of my OCs Marah and Elisheva standing next to each other.

Marah is a short black woman with a slightly chubby body type. Her black hair is worn in long locs that reach halfway down her back and cover the right side of her face. She has bags under her eyes and her expression is somewhere between bored and irritated.

She is wearing a purple long sleeve shirt with black stripes underneath a baggy grey t-shirt that reads "Fanboy & Chum Chum", ripped black skinny jeans and black and white converse.

There are some notes next to her: "likes baggy shirts, hasn't bought new shoes in forever, this is like an in-the-middle kind of outfit for her depressionwise".

Elisheva is a tall black person of skinny stature. Their tightly coiled hair is a honey blond colour. The front of it near their hairline is worn in five bantu knots with two braids framing their face. The back of their hair is worn down, only reaching to their shoulders and their edges are styled in small swirls on their forehead.

They are wearing a short beige sweater vest over a light blue button up with poet sleeves. Their pants are brown flare pants that slightly cover up the beige boots they are wearing. Additionally, they are wearing multiple golden rings, a gold septum piercing and gold hoop earrings. Their braids are decorated with gold jewellery as well.

The notes next to them read: "lots of gold jewellery, maybe gold tattoos?, taller than this i think".

AREGGG I need to ramble/infodump about brokengravity (Horizon x Ash/ Ashleigh Reid) and how queer coded their relationship was. Starting from the earliest bits I can (relatively easily find, there is so much more.)

- not truely hinting that they were gay lovers lmao, but a nice note that in the S7 loading screen “Me, Myself, and regret” Mary mentions how she baked her secret recipe scones and Ashleigh ATE THEM UP. Absolutely devoured them.

-Also!! In “Me, Myself, and regret” Mary (while mocking Reid) says “Must come in handy while patching up *loved ones* after you stab them in the back” you do NOT!! Call your lab assistant a loved one unless you have some more relation to them rather than work.

Now moving on to Ashleighs SFTO, theres a LOT more from Ashleighs pov that show how close they were.

-in the VERY first scene, Ashleigh tells Newton (Marys son) to “take the night off” before telling the mercenaries shes working for that its clear. She didn’t save anyone else but Newton when she doesnt have a reason to rather than **thats Marys son.**

-When shes getting turned into a sim, we hear Mary start talking. Out of all the people Reid has hurt, which is a lot, why Mary? In her final moments before becoming a sim???

-After Mary puts in the code for Ash, Ashleigh awakens and sees Mary again for the first time in 87 years. And her first reaction to a person she tried killing? Relief. Relief shes okay and alive.

She has had no reason to care for this woman the amount that she has JUST SO FAR rather than they used to work together. BUT

-When Ashleigh gets her heirloom, the nunchucks, they aren’t as random as people think. it was Newtons. He gave that to her after admitting he begged his grandma for it after he saw HER use it and got inspired. Also! She let him tag along with her to the gym after Mary had ‘died’. So….

- In the same comic thing, after Newton leaves she says:

She wishes she couldve met Mary differently. In some way that Mary wouldn’t have been in the target of her mercenary group.

There is so much more stuff but I have not gone to bed and i am TIRED and don’t feel like digging to find the aforementioned comic thing.
