I'd like the idea of Perry sometime (or actually, really often) serving as an "occasional assistant teacher" aka Mr. Platypus in Vanessa's class to prevent Doof from causing trouble.

But of course, those two just do it anyway.

for a kids’ cartoon, this show has got a LOT of different endings. for ANY show, it’s got a lot of different endings! i’m really very curious about which ones other people liked best.

Notes: 

The holiday episodes are listed as their own future because they clearly take place after a lot of summer already happened (Canderemy being an established couple, Heinz & Perry on very good terms, Irving being there). But it’s fall/winter, so summer is over. But it’s not compliant with “Last Day of Summer,” since Heinz is still very much scheming. Hence — alternate future.

With those rules in mind, Candace Against the Universe is still not considered to cause an alternate future here on the grounds that OP believes the joke with Perry’s watch at the end led to another round of Amnesia-inator.

Fun Fact: “Act Your Age” & “OWCA Files” are the only futures here that are reconcilable with “Last Day Of Summer.” I’m not including “Doof 101” in this for two reasons — it would take place directly after LDOS, but Vanessa’s attitude to her father appears different (at least to me), plus there wouldn’t have been time for a whole arrest/hard-time-or-community-service thing to go down. I’m also not including “Quantum Boogaloo” on the grounds that Heinz & Perry in the good timeline give the impression that Heinz never quit evil. Plus, from a Doylist perspective, I don’t believe they would have had Doof-1 create that horrific of an empire if QB had been an episode in later seasons. MML is not LDOS compliant because Heinz is still “evil” when Milo&co meet him (I think - I’ve not watched it).

edit: i’ve now watched MML. heinz is, in fact, no longer evil. he still sets traps for the pizza guy, though. and it is LDOS compliant. idk he’s just like that.

In my mind they are distantly related. Like cousins? Second cousins?? Old men with mono brows who r kinda bootlicker buzzkills.

You, Doof fans! Which spin-off would you have liked to be canon?

I kinda am attached to both.

The former for the sake of more Dooflene, more Vanessa and Doof moments, Perry being a teacher and potentially some episodes on Vanessa’s friends which I always got fun vibes from. It could work the best in canon because the things that went awry could be reworked to be the events of ‘Last Day of Summer’, ‘The Phineas and Ferb Effect’ and Doof’s consequential MML arc. As part of his attempts to being good, he could finally leave the Murphy household, get his own home and a job at Danville High.

Oh wow, another Doof lie tangent, anyway the latter would just be fun for the sake of O.W.C.A. lore and potentially using the scrapped Dr. Destructicon concept through an O.W.C.A Files exclusive special.

So does this imply that Peter the Panda moved to Danville from Seattle? (And that he took Professor Mystery with him?)

You know Phineas and Ferb has several episodes that could just straight up be a different show. For a show so formulaic it has some absurdly distinct episodes.

Like a lot of them were purposeful sort of backdoor pilots. But genuinely you could show someone over an an hour of Phineas and Ferb episodes without actually showing them an episode of Phineas and Ferb. Several depending on where the line gets drawn. Depending on what 10 episodes you choose you could give someone a perfect idea of how the show formula works or not the slightest clue.

Okay so we are definitely going to go with the same formula from the original run of the show for s5 and 6 so we dont have to worry about continuity as much and i can totally see them just making these eps take place before last day of summer timeline-wise AHAHAHAHAHA
