From a recent walk home on a Friday night, as the Domino Sugars sign was looking extra-lovely.
(Fun fact: this is still a real sugar refinery! There was a fire in one of the storage sheds a few years ago, and the air smelled of crème brûlée for a good long time.)

i need to know about allit au comet pls i'm begging
AAAAAAHHHHH OMG OK HERE WE GO
so the characters in aliit au are from tcw but it's a modern au and clones don't exist so a lot of them have become oc's basically? gregor is the closest to source material and comet is probably the farthest (but i mean.. he barely exists in source material so?)
anyway. comet is 23 at the beginning of the main fic in the series. he's ftm (5 years on t & like? probably 3 or 4 years post top surgery), he's got long curly hair and a bunch of tattoos, all of them done by boost (he's a tattoo artist 💅). he lives in a tiny apartment in keldabe (which we made basically mandalorian new york city) with boost and sinker, who are his lifelong best friends (with lots and lots of benefits).
his favorite color is blue, he can’t be trusted in the kitchen, prefers tea (specifically earl grey lattes) over coffee (which he drinks with copius amounts of cream and sugar), rides his bike or takes public transportation or has boost drive him (is he a bad driver? did he never learn how? he hasn't told me yet), he knows sign language, he has a nose stud and a navel piercing and multiple on each ear (done by sinker).
his legal name is tawera, which is a maori name meaning morning star. he chose that, after going by comet for a long time, when he was adopted by sinker's parents in high school.
he works part-time as a barista and the rest of his money he gets from selling his paintings or doing commissions. his favorite artist and inspiration is van gogh. he has a little painting studio in a back room of boost's tattoo shop.
on his 18th birthday boost and sinker took him to their favorite gay club 69's, which is run by veteran throuple fives, echo, and thorn (the dominos). he learns that night that thorn is also trans and is promptly taken under his wing. thorn took one look at him and his genetic need for a foundling went brrrr.
the main fic starts when he meets gregor at 69's one night and they're both kind of instantly lovestruck. they fool around in the club and then gregor takes him on a little walking date for food after
the rest of the fic up to this point (30 chapters, 150k and going strong) is the development of relationships between gregor, comet, boost, and sinker <33
if you (or anyone) have any questions,, this was very fun

You know what, Stede was right in 1x07 too, actually. I know I already talked about how Stede didnt deserve the full blame for getting boarded by the English (1x01), running aground & losing the hostages (1x02) or getting captured by the Spanish via Spanish Jackie's trap (1x03) in this post here buuuut, there's a fifth & final thing I must insist is not 100% his fault, and that folks, is
The Oranges!
Yeap! Stede's response does not help his case at all here (like, I'm 89% certain he's trying to avoid blame when he "throws Roach under the carriage") and he mostly likely doesn't even believe his own excuses.
Stede (in order to shift blame off himself) calls Roach out for "bad meal planning." It certainly sounds like an excuse, but the thing is, he's right!
Roach is the cook (and surgeon) on board the Revenge. As such it is his job to keep track of their rations.
Like sure, a 50 orange cake is very extravagant. I don't doubt Stede asked for it specifically to treat Ed to fanciful desserts. But decadence is in no short supply on the Revenge. Stede's jars of marmalade, Ed's 7-sugar tea, the breakfast spread of 1x08, the frankly obscene mountain of food Jim heaps on their plate in 1x04, the tapas of 1x03
(like, I don't doubt they were at least in part Roach's idea, he seemed so fucking HAPPY telling Geraldo about them + I'm convinced he came aboard the Spanish ship just so he could watch actual Spaniard's try his dishes--Stede had no need for back-up/protection, he fully trusted Geraldo. He only needed to bring himself, his remaining hostage & Lucius to take notes/sketch the transaction. Geraldo requested Jim come along (since the trap was for them) but there's no need for Roach to be there, unless he invited himself so he could see his proud creations enjoyed as they should be)
I digress. My point is, enjoyable food, satisfying food, food cooked for the pleasure of it (either the pleasure of cooking it, or the pleasure of eating it) seems common place on Stede's ship.
So much so that a cake requiring 50 oranges wouldn't be such an "out there" request for Stede to make. He's not hogging supplies that are already so freely given to anyone aboard.
That leaves the cards in Roach's hands. If Stede's request wasn't a feasible one, it was up to Roach, as the person in charge of their food supplies, to either say "We dont have enough oranges for that" or (more likely) "okay, but we have to set course to buy more oranges, because we'll be out then"
But Roach does neither of these things (we know he doesn't, because when Stede starts to point fingers Roach points right back saying "Hey, there was that cake you had me make!" Rather than an "I told you so")
Stede trusts his crew pretty explicitly. When Izzy asks about the ship's speed & ammunitions, Stede responds that that's "more the crews' thing", because he does trust them to know how to run the ship.
When Roach brings up the oranges, despite being so distracted by the threat of Ed leaving, Stede still calls a crew meeting so they can discuss the problem as a group, he listens & sets course for St. Augustine after Frenchie(?) suggests it, he signs off on the expedition (led by Jim) when Black Pete & Oluwande mention it.
Distracted as he is he still helps line up the dominoes that allow Black Pete & Co to acquire the much needed oranges. Had Roach mentioned something earlier, Swede might not have gotten scuvy at all, because Stede would have set course to buy more oranges once it was brought to his attention.
Stede should have maybe realized 50 oranges were a lot of oranges to waste while trapped at sea, with no immediate way to get more once you run out.
But! Roach should have also known how close they'd be to running out once he made that cake & requested a supply run before they fully ran out.

Incarnation Chapter 7: Settling, Unsettling
Chapter Summary:
SkekGra and UrGoh settle into a new routine. The questions of restoring SkekGra's arms and the feast SkekGra wants to prepare for UrGoh are pushed into the future, until the signs of a caravan appear and (fortunately) threaten the current equilibrium.
*Carefully setting up emotional dominoes*
Summary of the fic as a whole:
As SkekGra and UrGoh settle into life at the Circle of the Suns, they grapple with the nature of the bond that calls them to unity, the burdens of both their pasts, and a new connection that’s started to form between them–one that feels almost as powerful as the first, true bond. This is a story of touch, breath, and laughter; a story of sugar, smoke, and spice. A story of being known. Of desire. Of letting go of shame. And of the irresistible nature of life, no matter the dread of the beginning and the mystery of the end. “You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.” –from “Wild Geese” by Mary Oliver

I was so tired all day. Having two days in a row where I am so tired was not ideal. But it wasn't bad beyond that. I just wasn't comfortable.
It didn't help that sleep was still not easy last night. Even though I was so tired I was struggling. And then James accidentally woke me up moving my phone to the charger and that was not what I wanted because I wanted my phone with me and the curtains were open and I got all upset. So I didnt wake up nice and was mean to James for no reason so then I was upset with myself and I was just struggling.
I apologized to James and I got dressed. My hair felt bad. I liked my outfit but I didn't feel great at all. My face felt puffy. And I was having a bad time.
But I had to shake it off. It wouldn't work great but it wasn't the worst thing. I did forget my wallet with my cash in it. So I tried to use my gift card for breakfast and was $1 short so I had to use my credit card anyway. And the egg on my sandwich was weird. Like it looked weird. But it was fine. I had my breakfast and felt a little better.
I was glad to see Jack and my other friends. I went and set up balls and track and helped out out tables. I hurt myself a little on a sharp part of the table. But it was fine. I just went and put my head down. I was so tired.
The school would be a few minutes late. But it was fine. They were excellent kids. And we're so easy to work with. I brought them back to the classroom and they would make their groups and we had fun! I didn't bring anything to work on but that's fine. I made a roller coaster with the kids and they did a good job. They were very quick with the vocab and seemed to have a lot of fun.
Lunch was next. And the parents and teacher told me how much they enjoyed the first program so that made me feel good.
I went to the break room and just. Was quiet for a long time. I checked on my birthday sandals and they should be here tomorrow!
But very soon I had to go and get the kids for our next program. We had our cannery and I had to waste a few minutes at the window wall but not very long. And the cannery went really well but we had somehow lost 5 minutes in the intro and then a couple minutes from each shift and so we get to the store and Gabby's like hey why are we so early. And that's when I realized there was a half an hour of the program left when we only had one more store to do. That's not great. So we vamped and did our best to waste time. And the kids did a really good job in the program so that wasn't a problem and we finished like 10 minutes early so I took them out and we looked at the neon signs for Domino sugar and talked about how neon worked and then we took a bathroom break before we met Jordan at Ring of fire and he lit that and we talked about what some of the issues with having natural gas as a chandelier would be and then we went on our tour.
I had all the girls and one boy. And it was a really nice tour. They had questions and they seemed really interested and everything that was going on. I didn't get too much into the gore because one girl got a little gaggy when I started talking about some of the more intense stuff. But everything else went really well and we finished on time and they said they had a good time and that's all I really ever wanted. But man was I tired.
After I drop them off at the lunch room and saw the Dell was there I went to the back to just sit down for a few minutes. I would eat a little bit but I knew me and James were going to dinner later so I wasn't that concerned and I wasn't that hungry anyway. I just had enough so that I wouldn't fall asleep while I was working. And then I went upstairs to work on oysters and make cans and eventually I would sit with Jordan to make some backup cans for the drying shelf. We talked about some stuff politically that he is seeing recently and things about the Ukraine that I didn't know about. And it was interesting. But I was very tired and very much ready to go home.
James had gone in a long bike ride today to DC. And the plan was for them to get the 1:00 train and come home. But they missed the 12:45 and had to wait for the next one and then when they got on that train it made it one and a half stops and the brakes failed and they had to go back to DC and get on a different train. Apparently that one had waited 40 minutes so that they can combine the two trains together it was a whole thing but by the time I got home I only had to wait a few minutes and then James was here too.
I told James I was a very tired though and so we stayed on the couch for about an hour before we picked ourselves up and walked to the brass tap.
I feel like the last couple times we've gone there we kind of get abandoned. The food's always good but our waiter never comes back and gives us refills and that's very frustrating. But the food was nice and well we didn't talk a ton because I was so tired conversation we did have was really good. I love James so much and I love spending time with them.
I took half my sandwich home and we walked back here. It was such a beautiful day. And it's so nice seeing all the flowers blooming even if they are a little too early. I love the part of the year when we have flowering trees and I feel a little spoiled getting them so early.
When we got back here I went and took a shower and washed my hair. And then we got comfy on the couch. I got on my knitting stuff and my tablet to draw another sticker I had an idea for. And we watched The last of Us.
And this episode was really good. I am very concerned about what next week is going to hold but it's the season finale and I think they did a really excellent job with the show. And I'm just glad that Jeff and James convinced me to watch it. And I got four rows done on my knitting. Which I am very behind on. But I will find time to continue to get caught up this week. I don't need to get it completely out of control by missing another whole week.
Now I am in bed. I have been struggling to write this post for the last hour but James is taking a shower now so I'm trying to get it done so that we can attempt to go to bed very soon. Tomorrow I have an early starting and early ending shift at the museum and then I have to go to art with a heart to pick up my supplies for Wednesday. I'm very nervous! I've never picked anything up there and I'm sure I'm going to do it wrong somehow. Mostly I don't know which door to go to so I'm just going to go to the front and just be like hey please explain what I'm supposed to do. So wish me luck and I hope you have a great night. Sleep well and stay safe!

The cast has found a colourfully decorated stand, rather like a market stall. There is a large standing rack with a table in front of it, and beside that a standing chalkboard of the A-frame type. The table has a wide bowl on it. Hanging on the rack are hundreds of masks, made with fine materials and decorated in marvellous colours. Any animal, monster or mythical creature the cast might wish to find is represented here. A label on the rack reads “TAKE ONE”. The bowl on the table is labelled “TAKE SOME”. It contains a generous quantity of sweets that would be familiar to the cast: marshmallows, barley sugars, liquorice allsorts, wine gums, jelly babies, mint humbugs, sherbet lemons, pear drops, rhubarb-and-custards, peanut brittle, Turkish delight, marzipan, and treacle toffee. Next to the bowl is a collection of candles, and a number of carved jack-o’-lanterns: some made in the newer fashion with pumpkins, others the traditional Irish-style carved turnips. There are matches and spills to light the candles. The chalkboard carries the following message: “Where I come from, it’s traditional to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve with sweets, masks and carved lanterns. It’s said that spirits walk abroad tonight. Take some gifts. Light a candle for those who’ve passed on. Remember them in gladness. Happy Hallowe’en.” The message is signed with the image of a magatama. Which gifts do they choose? If they light a candle, who do they remember?
"I'll light up a turnip for Klint van Zieks. Why not? He's probably scowling down at me from the Great Hereafter as we speak." (... Blast, not sure what the kid might like.) (I'll just take a little of everything. No one's watchin'.) "Might as well wear a mask too."
"Acquired a white domino."

Fin or Bin: Hitman 2
Tumblr media
I rejected the privacy policy and, as a result, the game locked me out of all of its live service nonsense. As you can no doubt imagine, I'm heartbroken.
I try not to judge a game based on the business practices of its publisher, however microtransactiony and live-servicey they may be, but this elephant in the room is too large to ignore. Vast swathes of the menus in this entirely single-player game are locked away behind signs saying I cannot play them, because I'm in Offline Mode. That's to be expected of functions like leaderboards, but it won't even let me change my starting position within a level because I'm offline. There is no reason a single-player game should arbitrarily lock parts of itself away because I'm not online. If I install the game to a laptop and then take that laptop to Antarctica, I should be able to play it no differently than I do at home (at least until a leopard seal comes and kills me). Deeply unimpressed and it leaves a big black mark on what could have been a great product.
But lets move on from the crushing reality of modern games development and talk about the game itself!
No one plays these games for the narrative, of course, which is a good thing because it seems to want me to care about the history of a man who quite deliberately is No One. Protagonist Agent 47 is a professional assassin who gets pointed at Target Du Jour and then that target is later found dead. Simple stuff. The mission briefings are actually a lot of fun, very slick editing and cool presentation, with a voice over providing some excuse for the murderings that are about to occur (which I think are actually "we just thought it would be cool to have a race track level and a film set level"). Briefing over, 47 enters the scene, and this is where the game doesn't quite hit home for me.
The Sniper taught me to be efficient. Each level is set up in such a way that there are many different methods to kill the target, and the game actually encourages you to replay missions to find the other ways of achieving your goal. For example, at the race track you can poison the winner's trophy, or sneak into the mechanic's pit and 'accidentally' loosen their wheels so they crash, or add sugar to the fuel so their car blows up; any method that results in a grisly end counts, and all that remains is to exit the scene.
Unfortunately, the game gives me a gun. And while I could engineer a clever setup where the film director gets blown off a building by a wind machine that unfortunately had its safety systems disabled and was then set to a dangerously high speed, I can also just left-click his face and be done with it. There's no mission requirement to 'get away' with it, or make it look accidental, and I think that was a misstep.
I recognise this is absolutely a me problem, and I know a lot of people have fun arranging their dominos just-so. I just feel that narratively-speaking I'm supposed to be a ghost, and the gameplay should enforce that.
Fin or Bin:
Here's a fun thing, the package I bought that included this game didn't actually include the full game- each level is technically a separate DLC, and it gave me all but the last two levels. This game is no longer available for purchase, so I literally cannot finish it. There is fun to be had here, and under the conditions of the blog it's a Fin; it feels like I'm having fun despite the game, but I am having fun.

I had a rare good day (yesterday).
Starting off with zero hours of sleep I looked at the time and realized it was already 7am. I knew Saturday would at least be a day to get out of the house because the seeds were invited to a classmate’s birthday party. While I continued watching (season 4 of) Sex and the City I formulated a schedule:
1. Relax in bed and continue binging until 2pm.
2. At 2pm start getting ready.
3. 3pm be heading out of the door.
4. Arrive at the store at 3:30pm.
5. Pick out a gift bag and gifts, check out and be out of the store and on our way to the party by 3:45pm.
Outside of the timing being a few minutes off, I made it to the party at a reasonable time - 4:15pm. The party invite said 4pm and I don’t like being early or exactly on time for parties. And of course 4:15pm was too early, but I figured what the heck? The silver lining is that we could leave earlier.
Naturally, when I arrived I walked right into the broken revolving door with a big sign saying that it’s broken on it. The concierge let us in and gave us access to the rooftop area where the party was being hosted.
We got out of the elevator and found our way to the crowd and the party was still being set up, and more than half of the families who were showing up were already there.
I began offering assistance because I needed the show to get on the road so I could escape this social setting as soon as possible.
“How is it not started?” I thought to myself.
After placing cupcakes on trays, setting up cups, bowls, plates, continuously being the organizer of the tables and on clean-up duty (because let’s face it - I’m a little nuts and can’t handle clutter like a normal person), and even pitching some ideas that became realities, I warmed up to the other guests who I was familiar with and met some new people too.
The seeds played hard! Screaming, running, but mostly smiling.
I played a few games of dominoes and then moved on to a card game called Bullshit that I remembered from my childhood, but had to be refreshed on the objective and rules. I casually chatted and laughed. I connected with people and that felt good no matter if I ever want , or will, see them again.
After a few hours parents started fading out, and I continued trash grabbing and incorporated packing things that weren’t being used away into my routine.
After the random parents left one of the cooler moms from what I mentally deemed tonight “the cooler moms” pulled out a little baggie of God’s magic grass. Before you knew it I had rolled up her goods and we packed up and headed to the cars. We stood in the parking lot and just blazed. Then we shared stories and I laughed my ass off.
I felt like the genuine belly laughter was a release. This mother had explained exactly what I go through and I didn’t feel alone at that moment.
Maybe it was the herb, the outing, the children's laughter/joy, or a combination, but I felt a brief moment of simplicity. No expectations, rhyme, or reason... just simply being understood and able to laugh at the pain.
The seeds and I arrived home around 9pm and I was high enough to crave wings. Saucy wings. But also, pasta.
I Googled some "pantry pasta" recipes and made a peppery, cheesy spaghetti first. I used olive oil, butter, ground pepper, and shamefully Velveeta cheese because I had to throw what parmesan cheese I had out. It came out pretty good, but I can't wait to try it again with parmesan. I took the chicken out of the fridge and realized it had gone bad so I had to improvise... I used the seed's fried chicken bites! I put the chicken bites in the air fryer and started the sauce on the stovetop. I used butter, minced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, and brown sugar to create some kind of honey garlic sauce. It came out really sweet, yet savory. Each part of the meal took 30 minutes.
I served the seeds bowls of the meal and set it on the counter in case they wanted to eat while they were still up, served my plate then cleaned the kitchen and got myself ready for bed.
Afterward, it was back to Sex and the City... Which got me thinking, "Which Sex and the City character am I?" I've always thought of myself as a Carrie/Charlotte mix, but the first quiz I took was from Buzzfeed Quiz: Which "Sex And The City" Character Are You Actually? (buzzfeed.com) and they rated me Samantha.
Tumblr media
To be fair, in my twenties I did feel as powerful, free and confident as Samantha and I'd like to tap back into that.
Then, I took another quiz on MagiQuiz Which "Sex and the City" Character Are You? | MagiQuiz and they rated me Carrie.
Tumblr media
And like I said, I always thought of myself as more of a Carrie so this explanation at the bottom just makes since, because it fits me perfectly.
Now, if this question ever gets brought up in conversation I can say that I'm a Samantha with a Carrie rising. It makes sense according to my experience and astrology's correlation to my experience.
Feeling free, even just for a moment, getting in tune with who I believe myself to be, how people experience me, and realizing that I can still be that person in my pain felt good.
I had a good day. Finally.

e9: -bahrain is such a beautiful track btw i love her -damn they just jump straight into it boom explosion -before logan was the sad wet lil meow meow......2020 alex was the ORIGINAL -the way reporters are asking abt checo->red bull before he even won that race, makes me curious how much he was seriously in the conversation for the seat beforehand. anyone who was on tumblr at the time i'd love to hear what the gossip mills were like at the time 👀 -dany's "please tell me he's okay" always GETS me bc i know dany's the car he crashed with and it was 100% a racing incident but i cannot imagine the guilt he was feeling in the moment. i'm so fond of him he definitely deserved better by the red bull machine -gunther talking about how fire is the worst thing you can have in a crash--and thinking about how guanyu said his biggest fear in his silverstone crash was the car catching fire. we're really lucky that his car didnt honestly -the music design on this in INCREDIBLE like they really did an INSANE job here. cacos "thats an act of god" always gets me. really summarizes how improbably lucky he was to survive that. i'm so glad he did -gunther sucks but the way he insists he has to meet the rescue guys to thank them personally 😭😭 -ALBODIUM MY BELOVED (when will she return) -i didnt write anything down for the grosjean post crash self reflection bit. i just wanted to sit and experience it and not think :) -one can say this sakhir crash was the original checo third wheeling lestappen -when ppl ask how to get into f1, i always bring up the inside story series on youtube, and TOP of recommendations is the inside story on this race! it is truly insane what he did here, cant wait to see this race in full -i just think it wouldve been SO iconic if george had won this race. first ever mercedes race win before he even got a mercedes seat? wouldive been ICONIC. ppl talk abt the domino affect of alex's appendicitis but if mercedes didnt fuck up BOTH their drivers pit stops, checo wouldn't have won (probably), would he have been signed then? new butterfly affect to discuss -I THINK. i know the idea of checo leaving the sport soon is being discussed a lot, and even in this episode he discusses that if its the end for him he is proud of what hes accomplished and thankful for as long as he had to drive in f1. his red bull seat really was a lifeline, a second chance, and he has added to his legacy significantly with red bull. if he loses his seat on 2024, no matter what mean things i've said about him in the heat of the moment, he has a LOT to be proud of. if its his time to go, its his time to go
ep 10: -i think AD is a BANGER of a race track. i'm glad its the finale race -ok so lets see daniel gives renault their first podium in 9 years......then gives mclaren their first win in forever as well.....hmmmm.....washed up who? -cyril getting a tattoo youtube video is So Important 2 ME. cyril calling his wife to tell her the details while daniel dies silent laughing is the instant seratonin boost for me -every time zak & lando have a lil clearly staged chat it has the most sugar baby energy ever why do they do this -lando says so many nice things abt daniel here yet the dando antis choose to ignore them and insist lando does nothing but distrespect him 😡 anti-lando daniel girlies r my least favorite -NOT DANIEL HITTING THE BEAM ABOVE HIM IN THE GARAGE TOO the dando agenda continues -damn i hope they give this much dts attention to the battle for 7th last year too -lawrence rly hired seb to mentor his son huh -aston martin colors Do Fuck we all must admit -frothing at the mouth over the 4433 moment here. its mental illness innit -i've always felt. like the lewis racism segment was a bit shoehorned in here. like they went oh fuck we need to include this somewhere lets just slap it on the end of the episode. i think it would've been so much better and more impactful in a fully lewis focused episode. but ya kno? i'd rather they do it this way than not at all, so i suppose i shouldn't complain too much

The crown jewel of Maryland…Baltimore!

Crane behind Ft. McHenry.

The Port of Baltimore moved 52 billion dollars worth of cargo in and out in 2011. Domino Sugar was a worthy contributor to that number. We are lucky to have a vibrant commercial shipping port here in Baltimore.

The famous Domino Sugar sign. It once held the distinction of being the 2nd largest maintained neon sign in the world. Not sure if that’s still true but it sure is nice having it watch over the Inner Harbor.

Another excellent sunset on the Patapsco River tonight. I had to get on the water a few minutes today. It was one of those excellent 50 degree winter days.

WILD ANARCHIST
Après chaque concert, Osborne aime se fondre dans la masse et surtout se détendre avec une bonne bière. Deyn s'approche d'elle :
— Énorme ! Vous êtes au top, sur scène !
— Merci, tu viens souvent, ici ?

Quilt Block Mania - January is Desserts
Welcome to my stop on the Quilt Block Mania Blog Hop. Each of the designers participating in the hop are sharing a block pattern inspired by this month’s theme, which is Desserts.
The hardest part of this month’s challenge was choosing which of the many desserts I love to feature on my block. I finally decided on ice cream, but even then I couldn’t use just one kind!
I have fond memories of visiting the ice cream truck when I was a kid, so I featured my favorite treats from the truck on my block—a colorful popscicle with lots of fruit flavors (I chose grape and lime) and an ice cream cone with two scoops—pink peppermint and orange sherbet.
I would probably never put those flavors together now, but as a kid I couldn’t get enough of fruity flavors!
I call my block Ice Cream. I hope you’ll make my block! If you do, please tag me on social media @inquiringquilter.
My block uses simple piecing and fusible applique techniques. If you need help with fusible applique there are photo tutorials on my blog to help you.
There are lots of designers in this hop so be sure to visit all of them for your free pattern. Here are links to all the blocks in the Quilt Block Mania Desserts Series:

I often make my block into a mini quilt so I can display it at work. You can do that too with each month’s Quilt Block Mania block from me, or you can collect the blocks from all the designers in each month and make a quilt.
Scroll through my past Quilt Block Mania blocks. By the way. If you missed getting my other Quilt Block Mania block patterns they are available in my shop.
Quilt Block Mania returns next month with the theme, “Connections” so be sure to come back on the first Tuesday of the month to see what I create!

A Domino Sugar sign is lighting up the Brooklyn skyline for the first time in almost 20 years
What’s old is new again: a replica of the iconic 40-foot-tall Domino Sugar neon sign that adorned the Brooklyn skyline for over a century has been installed on top of the historic Domino Refinery building, which served as the Domino Sugar Factory plant from the 1880s to the early 2000s.
