Don't worry though I can stitch it back together, but it might leave his head lumpy and misshapen. Super sorry. Thought I'd get your approval before gluing a hair wig on. i am a battered old monster high doll and god is a 10 year old girl who has just discovered dollightful

After years of waiting, the local convention finally returned and I was able to do cosplay again, and I decided to go as Dollightful's Sakura doll.

The dress and wig are made entirely by me, both of which I've already posted about separately. And I managed to find a perfect match for the sandals on Amazon, though they ended up being a little loose so I had to shuffle-walk everywhere because I had no time to add extra strap notches or get insoles (they arrived literally the morning of). Thankfully, I learned my lesson from the last time I wore heels to a convention and brought trainers, so I didn't have to suffer the murder shoes the entire time or get blisters on the soles of my feet (again). The wig was, unsurprisingly, heavy. As well as awkward to wear, since I had to hold it back when leaning to look at something and crouch instead of bend if I wanted to reach something low lest it all fall forward. The glue-gun method I used to create the wig also made it feel more like a helmet from all the glue stiffening it, stopping it from sitting right and squeezing my head if I wore the securing band for too long.

Despite the issues presented by my wig and shoes, I'm still really proud of how the costume turned out and received a lot of compliments and requests for photos while at the convention. I even won the cosplay!

Dollightful's newest Doll creation Valentine! 🫶🩷

Printed the Dollightful / Moonlit Jewel Dolls Bunny BJD at 150% yesterday! Learned a little more about not breaking supports off and sanding them off instead (one trimming) to avoid getting little pits in the resin. The ABS-like resin I used also scuffs horribly, so I'm definitely going to need to look into other options. Also, I need to make little posts for the hands so that they can attach.

Linked Universe-themed stockings!! Wanted to get all the Links/Link-adjacent characters :3 Late for Christmas, but ready for next year!

Doll-sized and usable, I'm so proud of how they turned out. Next year's project is probably going to be some ridiculous fireplace apparatus that fits at least 14 stockings... or more because now I wish I'd done Spirit Tracks Link, Cadence of Hyrule Link, etc '^^
