Pastiches is such a shit rehab centre like it functions off people going cold turkey, it's run by a guy called Doctor Champ with zero qualifications, and said guy is both extremely unstable and thinks therapy is just. Telling everything about yourself? Like. that was his belief??? And it could've been so funny while also genuinely helping BoJack but it wasn't.

another writing choice that makes me angry is Dr. Champ bojack finally goes to therapy and it just blows up in his face , how's a guy gonna trust any therapist moving forward i would never be able to trust again if it were me /but i do find bojacks reaction being Wait is your name just Doctor? You're not a real doctor?? when champ is talking to mr. peanutbutter

As much as I love Paige and Max I think a lot of their storyline was just based on contrived conveniences. Like PB betrayed BoJack for something that happened literally happened offscreen and was brought up at that time. Paige and Max are so amazing at their job and it would've been a lot more interesting to see them get all the information in a more organic manner.

He’s not very good at conveying appropriate tone through text, and he often says things by accident that he does not mean to offend with… He’ll always apologize when he’s made aware of it, of course, but first he has to be made aware of it. It’s not a guarantee that he’ll realize your reaction is an upset one, if he’s even there to see your reaction…

This is part of why he’s so quiet and awkward in person, too, on top of some genuine social anxiety. It’s happened enough times that it’s simply just… better not to talk at all.
