WotC wants the corporate speak to placate everyone into forgetting what they’re aiming for. Don’t let the outrage die.
UPDATE: These have been confirmed to be fake. Apologies for putting out fake information, that was not my intention. I’m not deleting this because a) it was my mistake and I don’t want to sweep my mistakes under the rug, and b) I want people to know it’s fake.

Kobold Press, one of the largest DnD creators, is creating their own system due to the recently announced changes to the Open Gaming License (OGL 1.1). Above is the video announcement on Twitter. Here's the blurb from the website:
As Dungeons & Dragons moves toward the 50th anniversary of the game, foundational changes are afoot in the tabletop roleplaying game arena. While we wait to see exactly what shape the Open Gaming License might take in this new era, Kobold Press is also moving forward with some clear-eyed work on work on a new Core Fantasy tabletop ruleset: available, open, and subscription-free for those who love it: Code Name — Project Black Flag. To receive future announcements and to register to playtest this ruleset, please sign up using this form.
When the new Open Gaming License and an updated System Reference Document are made public, Kobold Press will review the terms and consider whether they fit the needs of our audience and our business goals.
The kobolds are looking forward to the continued evolution of tabletop gaming, and we aim to play our part in making the game better. Rest assured Kobold Press intends to maintain a strong presence in the tabletop RPG community.
The form to sign up that is mentioned above is located here: https://koboldpress.com/kobold-press-announces-new-core-fantasy-experiment/
This could easily move the needle on how WoTC goes forward with this plan, but no matter what I think they've lost a lot of trust with the community.

I just spent 20 minutes trying (and thankfully succeeding) to cancel my dnd beyond subscription. I should not have to have gone onto Google play to unsubscribe, I should have been able to do it on the app. It just kept sending me in circles.
Plus, I couldn't (and still can't) access my other players character sheets on dnd beyond. As a dm, this is a huge problem and was my final straw.
Here's the link to the guide that I used to figure out how to cancel. Peace.
I'm still registered as subscribed until the 28th though, so that's a fun benefit.

If you play D&D I recommend watching this video about the OGL
Hasbro/WotC made a lot of promises after the OGL debacle and it looks like they're counting on us all to forget so they can get away with not doing that. It's important that we hold them accountable, cause this stuff is important stuff.

PJO Greek Demigod Homebrew
So I did this fun little thing and made a DND Percy Jackson Greek Demigod race expansion!
I love the Percy Jackson universe and everything that came after and decided I had to find a way to incorporate it into my games!
This can also be altered only slightly and perfect for Pathfinder! I include how to do so at the bottom of the guide.
Over the summer, I made a TikTok giving an overview of a quick-build for demigods and included lots of recommendations on subclasses (and trust me I dug for these let me tell you) that fit almost all of the godly parents on this list. You can find that here
Additionally, I know much is changing in the DND world and TTRPG in general right now, so I did include this message in the guide:
This expansion has the unfortunate timing of releasing at the same time as the changed OGL 1.1 announcement in January 2023 but this was already created ahead of time and I wanted to make sure and release it before I returned to uni for another semester. I do not and cannot profit off of this guide as it is essentially fanfiction for the Riordanverse, however, neither does Wizards of the Coast (not that they would unless somehow I made like one million dollars off of this which would not happen). So I hope you will thoroughly enjoy this guide.
This homebrew is quite literally a homebrew, made by a fan for fans. And I truly hope you enjoy it :) And again, as this is a homebrew, feel free to adjust it to fit your game, whether that's something in DND or Pathfinder or even a Star Wars realm or something along those lines. I'm sure you'll enjoy it, whatever is to come.
Go forth, enjoy the homebrew, and get ready for the Percy Jackson TV show and Percy's quests to get letters of recommendation poor Percy like come on he deserves some rest
Enjoy it here! And please share updates with what you and your crew gets up to!

Path of the Agitator Barbarian! This barbarians indignant rage inspires others to action using offensive teamwork! This was made as my personal celebration of our successful protest against the removal of the OGL. I’m used to making complex subclasses so I tried to make a simpler class, let me know if you have any feedback, I’d really appreciate it!

Chuck Tingle didn't know what was going on with D&D and this guy spent the spoons to tell him, with context.
Hopefully, it's all moot:

The Beholder is in the Creative Commons 5.1srd, but only in the deck of Illusions not the monster portion? So, can we make beholders now? What does this mean?

This seems relevant to the situation that Wizards of the Coast has created for themselves- even if they change the OGL to not have the disastrous terms they were threatening, they have already lost the trust of the community.

If ever there was a time for a ‘Capitalism is the BBEG’ shirt it is now…
Remember to support the community and show that we’re annoyed.
