Striker and Django of the Dead have a lot in common!
If I had a nickel for every time a cowboy meets the protagonist...
Befriends and competes with him...
Betrays him...
Tries to convince the protagonist to join him...
And in the end, fights the protagonist and swears revenge.
I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but, it's weird that it happend twice, right?

How did Django, Zoe, and Dr. Chipotle meet?
Django and Diego meet first in prison when sharing a cell. Having his Magic Guitar taken from him, Django was next to helpless in escape. Dr. Chipotle, himself, made no attempt to break out, even after Django kept trying to egg him on. Eventually, Chipotle breaks, and accidentally unleashes a hidden power that creates crushing lime trees that break the wall apart.
The two run, but Django is still without his guitar. He starts trying to get Chipotle on his side after seeing what he was capable of, and eventually the two start to let each other in. Diego tells Django how he is dating someone who he used to adore...but now his feeling are hollow toward her and he is unsure what to do, even more so after his clones, Sr., and Sr. Sr., expired. Django tells Diego that he learned he has living relations, as in family of flesh, that he is unsure how to approach. He is a skeleton, after all, and a well known supervillain as well.
In the meantime, Django and Zoe had been encountering one another more and more often. At first it was on accident, passing the same roof top at the same time. Eventually, however, the two started to do it on purpose. They had a lot in common, but also a lot different. They had things to learn from one another.
Soon, Django introduced Chipotle to Black Cuervo, and the three of them decided to work together to take back Django's guitar. In planning, Zoe actually helped take the rose-tint from Diego's eyes, helping Chipotle realize that, indeed, he was more in love with just HAVING someone than actually in love with Frida. She was a concept, and now she was just...there.
When they went to take Django's guitar, it went smoothly, even more smooth then their plan expected. It was the final piece, and they realized the three of them are stronger together than they are trying to fend for themselves or with their families. They formed the 'Tres Terrors', and no superhero could even stand a chance against them.

In El Tigre, it’s confirmed by the creator that Zoey and Django fake date to get Manny and Frida jelly.
How about instead, Django and Zoey naturally start hanging out because he feels bad for her. Manny is always wishywashy with his feelings and standing her up. So, Django just starts hanging out with her and they enjoy each other’s company. It’s only until Frida yells at them about their plans “of making Manny and her jealous aren’t going to work” that Zoey realizes that their friendship could be seen as dating. To which Django just goes sure. Let’s keep hanging out and just add openly flirting and possibly kissing.
It’s a little while later that Django is struck how easy it was for him to just agree to his plan to fake date as he has zero interest in Frida anymore and thinks Zoey deserves better than Manny. Why did he agree to it when he doesn’t want them together!?
Frida keeps going off that it’s clearly a trick because who picks Zoey Aves unless it’s a joke, a trick, brainwashing, mindcontrol and Django finally snaps when Manny just lets Frida go on and on.
Zoey is like embarrassed because they’re talking about her in public and also that Django is defending her. No one has ever defended her in public before. She’s not good at the whole friends thing but she’s grateful and is glad that he respects her so much.
Like I enjoy this slow burn as Zoey builds self esteem and falls in love with Django

I recently watched El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera and please, just hear me out.
Django looks like he's La Muerte and Striker's son! He's a skeleton and is from Mexico like La Muerte, and he's also a cowboy just like Striker! Even the clothes he wears are very similar to Striker's and his color palette is similar to both La Muerte and Striker.
He also plays the guitar, a shared taste that he has with both La Muerte and Striker. La Muerte appreciates music for being a festive goddess of El Día de los Muertos (that and she supported Manolo being a musician in the Book of Life) and Striker himself plays the guitar and composes his songs.
Also... Django is a name that I'm 100% sure Striker would give his son and La Muerte wouldn't mind leaving that name to her son if that's what her lover chose.
I know that Django is the son of El Machete, the grandson of Sartana and consequently makes him the great-grandson of La Muerte and Xibalba. Just let me have the opportunity to have to relate Helluva Boss, The Book of Life and El Tigre in some way along with Striker and La Muerte that I love them very much <3
