I started remembering the old days on DeviantArt when artists would draw themselves clinging onto their favorite characters and saying, "Mine", and I felt inclined to draw something in a similar vein!

I keep seeing digimon everywhere so I’m slapping down my digimon ocs.

Having a mutual put the Beloved Franchise on my dash made me wanna redraw this thing from college. Not sure what’s more shocking, that this year is the 25th anniversary of Adventure or the fact that I originally drew this 14 years ago. 😳

In truth I have got nothing to say or at least I don’t have that much to say. It’s just my Junzumi daughter✨ having the fun of her life ✨ahahah.

Okay, okay, the truth is that I have promised myself I will never reveal what’s happening in this scene, because it’s a silly teasing game with my friends🤣. I’ve been drawing Ran in this scene since I decided to give her a Jellymon. The first version is embarassing and I have never posted it, but the second one is one of the art piecies I’m the proudest about. This year I raised the level even more, though. Last year I didn’t add a bg, I couldn’t draw Jellymon at all, I was a freaking donkey at drawing side views (and I’m still are). So, I’ve given my best to give my girl something better this year and I’ve drawn La Scala ✨✨✨✨ underwater✨✨✨ because that’s really part of my fucked-up story about this scene in particular.

Needless to say bubbles couldn’t be missing because they are a symbol of how fleeting certain aims of ours, certain desires, certain “obsessions” are. Ran is frivolous. Like Junpei before her, she wishes to get success and to shine like a star on a stage, (she is a rookie ballerina), but success is nothing but something that’s meant to disappear, burst like a bubble in the blink of an eye.

I drew my digimon ocs a while back and noticed I never shared them. So here. An Adella and her “Partner” keramon, Who I have mentally nicknamed “Dia” since I know there are other keramon ocs out here.  

@avalypuff showed me the original 1998 Digimon Pendulum commercial, and it changed my life.

I was referrin’ to Rinku’s uncle’s Digimon partner all grown up (WarGreymon/UlforceVeedramon/Gallantmon/Alphamon/Jesmon); A potential Royal Knight at that! As for his dad, it’s potentially (Merukimon/Marsmon/Bagramon/BanchoLeomon/Ogremon/Gokuwmon). And his Digimon partner is Herissmon.

I see! Thanks for clearing that up. Bagramon is a really interesting choice when you consider the backstory behind em.
