7/13/23 - update anon:

I got a few updates for you. First update is OceanGate dot com is slightly back up but it's just a black screen with the OceanGate logo with a short text that says:

"OceanGate has suspended all exploration and commercial operations."

The second update is not 100% confirmed but I thought it's worth mentioning. There is a second expert saying that the passengers likely knew that Titan was going to implode between 40-70 seconds to 1 minute before it did. There is two experts including James Cameron who knew about the implosion the day that Titan went missing, all believe that there was a electrical fault with the submersible which we know Titan had many issues and malfunctions. This recent expert who's coming out believes that when this electrical fault happened, the thrust went out and with the weight of the titanium & passengers who are all focused to the end close to the view port, would had caused the submersible to fall to the seafloor at a vertical angle which means they probably was falling on top of each other in the dark. They have to turn off all the lights to save power until they reach the Titanic. So this must had been like a horror movie as they said. Now this isn't the first time that it was mentioned that Titan was descending at a fast pace. It was supposedly leaked from the Polar Prince that Titan was going down fast before it lost contact with it.

That's terrifying to try and picture what that must of been like for them. And again it's like the Titanic all over again. Not only the CEO was given multiple warnings about Titan and he didn't listen but it going down in a vertical angle like that and everyone is falling. Smh. It's chilling.

I. favourite colours: This answer changes all the time for me. Currently my favourite colour is green, followed very closely by white and blue.

II. favourite flavours: Intense! If the recipe asks for 1 garlic clove no it didn't it wants the whole damn garlic — I love curry dishes especially, anything with strong flavour has my whole heart (I think that comes from a childhood of the saddest bland foods imaginable haha).

III. favourite genres: High fantasy, science fiction, horror, mystery. I think that sums up my general interests.

IV. favourite music: If it reminds me of my blorbos I'll listen to it. I have playlists on my phone so I can listen to character-inspired bops on the go. Ashnikko, AURORA, Cloudy June, Elle King and Stela Cole get honourable mentions. I also love soundtrack music. Final Fantasy XIV soundtracks by Masayoshi Soken are top rated, and I know I was once pretty obsessed with Ramin Djawadi's work on Game of Thrones.

V. favourite movies: The Lion King and The Mummy for nostalgic reasons. James Cameron's Avatar franchise for showing me what cinema could be. My favourite of all time is a tough one to choose, probably Princess Mononoke.

VI. favourite series: Beef, Brooklyn 99, Community, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Game of Thrones, Midnight Mass, Samurai Champloo, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, The Glory, The Haunting of Hill House / Bly Manor, The Last of Us, The Witcher.

VII. last song: ENDWALKER: FINAL FANTASY XIV Original Soundtrack — Flow.

VIII. last series: The Fall of the House of Usher. Carla Gugino is absolutely my celebrity crush.

IX. last movie: It has been so long since I last watched a movie, I think it was Barbie back in August of 2023. It was okay at best, wouldn't want to spend the money on a ticket if I knew what I was walking into. Disappointed because I thought it was going to be a silly little time from the trailers, it looked like something that would be fun and quirky with more humour in the plot (especially since it seemed marketed as something kids would love to come watch too) but its attempts at existentialism and feminist commentary fell flat for me.

X. currently reading: Nothing currently, unless RecipeTin Eats cookbook counts. Dinner by Nagi Maehashi has been an absolute winner for me.

XI. currently watching: At the moment I'm only really watching things on Youtube, specifically Charlotte Dobre and Gab Smolders.

XII. currently working on: The bigger and more meaningful things are weight loss and keeping up with a skincare routine. Next on my list is a new makeup routine but foundation is far too expensive for me to replace right now. I'm also finishing off abandoned videogames, I blasted through Breath of the Wild (and desperately want to chew on Tears of the Kingdom now) and I have Resident Evil 4 sitting there and taunting me.

Outsiders anon I literally love you. Like when you sent the thing cause i was active for the first time in a while, and then this and the les mis ask- I just really want you to know I appreciate you!!

The Dead Poets x reader (platonic or romantic can be inferred for any)

premise: just a study session with the dead poets, that only slightly goes off the rails. I offer to you my sort of dark acadamiea-ey dark academia playlist

You had been the first one into the library, heading to the back, and claiming the largest table possible, ignoring the librarians glares.

You dropped your backpack into a seat, and plopped down into the next one over, starting to pull out your studying materials.

Cameron arrived next, dropping into a chair at the other end of the table, "Hey, (y/n)."

"Hey Cam. What's up?"

"I think Chemistry is killing me." He complained, digging through his own bag.

You nodded, "Yeah, it is looking pretty bleak. Meeks should be able to help though."

"Thank god for Meeks." Cameron muttered.

"Thank god for Meeks indeed," Neil said, sliding into a seat, Todd following behind him, "What's going on?"

"Chemistry." You and Cameron answered in unison.

Todd stifled a laugh as he pulled his binders from his bag, "That bad?"

"Horrible." Cameron groaned.

You nodded, "Terrible even."

"Never fear the snack bois are here!" Charlie announced as he and Knox hurried to the back of the library, dumping their bags of chips and candy onto the table.

After a few minutes, everyone settled in, and Charlie frowned, looking around, "You know I think for the first time in his life, Steven James Meeks is late!"

"Okay- I want theories. Why is he late?" You asked, work entirely forgotten.

"Traffic?" Knox frowned.

You nodded, "Plausible- but this is a school campus, where most buildings are accessible from the dorms without cars."

"Maybe his alarm didn't go off this morning." Todd shrugged.

"It's four in the afternoon, that wouldn't matter by now." Charlie scoffed.

"What wouldn't matter by now?" Pitts asked suddenly.

You and Charlie jumped, turning around to find him seeming to have materialized behind you, Meeks standing beside him.

"Jesus Christ!" Charlie explained, "How long were you standing there?"

"Like ten seconds?" Pitts frowned, moving to drop into an empty seat, placing the homemade radio onto the table.

Meeks rolled his eyes, moving your bag out of the last empty seat and sitting down, "We forgot the radio and had to go back. Didn't mean to scare anyone."

"I mean, I might have but..." Pitts muttered.

You shook your head, "Oh, your evil Pittsie."

Cameron rolled his eyes, "Does anyone understand the chemistry homework?"

Distracted from making faces at Pitts, you nodded, "Yeah I'm getting desperate. I'll trade calc answers for chem work."

Neil looked up from his binder, "Deal. Gimmie your calc sheet."

Happily, you swapped papers with him, ignoring Cameron's disapproving look as Meeks laughed and began to explain the concept to him.

"Did anyone do the Latin?" Todd asked quietly.

You nodded, pausing in copying down Neil's answers to hand him your papers, "Meeksie went over that during lunch."

"Thanks."

Pitts fiddled with the radio until a partially static tune began to play, filling the now mostly quiet air. You settled into the comfortable atmosphere, quickly finishing the Chemistry work and handing the paper back to Neil before moving on to your English assignment.

Quiet music continued, and few words were exchanged, so the only other real sounds came from the shuffling of papers, and the crinkle of food wrappers.

Study sessions were the best.
