BARBATOS COOKING COMPETITION!! YES!! Also I’m glad you reminded me of his gardening! Maybe he also gives you access to increasingly rare crops? He’ll send those seeds to the store for them to sell! Like once you get the money for beehouses and they get built, you unlock flowers and fruit trees, so you can harvest Fancy Honeys.
That, and you know in farm sims there sometimes tend to be little sprites or fairies? Like the one example I can think of are the Junimos in Stardew Valley. Little D’s?? MC, Sol, and Babbs are the only ones who can see them. It’d make sense for Solomon to see them, but Barbatos could potentially be a bit supernatural too. Like how some SoS/HM games feature a Goddess too and the fairies/sprites are her aides, maybe Barb chose this particular city’s farm plot for Dia’s vision bc it’s his home and it could use some touching up while his true Eldritch Fae God Form heals? Maybe BABBS is the Dessie that lived in the pond! Idk lmao I tend to get too deep into plot aspects.
Another thing I thought of thanks to your response is maybe, under some supervision, Luke sets up a little “Lemonade Stand” on weekends, or once a month/season (depending on the game’s time mechanics), and he sells super special items, like SUPER HEALING treats, bouquets (which could be a dating prerequisite for your chosen bachelor/ette), and perfumes (A special animal friendship thing/monster repellant?) Asmo would DEFINITELY be there as sort of just a place for him to be, like how villagers/datatables in farm sims have schedules. Perfume is one of Asmo’s fave gifts so it’d make sense!
SPEAKING OF! What kinds of things do you think would be considered fave gifts? Like certainly Beel would love meals, but I feel like you’d need to upgrade MC’s little personal shack with a kitchen in order to make your own meals instead of spending the little money you make on the random meals from the cafe, making gifting Beel meals an actual challenge And there’s obvious other gift things others would like. Lucifer would love coffee (or maybe a variety of coffee beans you can grow), Simeon loves honey, and Solomon would love things that could be considered potion ingredients, among other obvious gifts we already know from the og game. But what Farm Life things would you gift the less farm-inclined characters like Levi and Mammon? Definitely ore and gems for Mammon, but that’s the only thing I can think of to gift him. And maybe… Uh… Boiled Egg. For Levi. Bc he snake… >->;

Oh my gosh I LOVE the idea of Barbatos as the Goddess who lives in the pond and the Lil Ds as his attendants!!! And in some games, the Goddess is a secret marriage option, so you could still marry Barb lkasdflksdf. I love the idea of him just pretending to be a butler so he can get his strength back by living on the land that is his home! And he gets stronger the more the town is revived, as MC fixes things up and unlocks areas and what not!
YES to a seasonal Luke Lemonade Stand that is so cute!! Like you gotta get what you can while it's open otherwise you'll have to wait a whole year in game to get that perfect seasonal bouquet for your true love!! Of course Asmo would be all about the perfume, he's straight up there to shop lol.
Okay okay so the gifts is an interesting thing to consider! Usually there's at least one meal preference for each character and then after that it kinda varies depending on interest. So as you said, for Beel it might be that his all time favorite gift is some fancy meal. Like if it was a cheeseburger, you'd have to be able to get all of the ingredients which could be a lot. Whereas coffee for Lucifer would just be coffee beans and maybe milk. But usually they also have other options that give you a little less friendship, but are easier to make/obtain. So I would think Beel would be okay with being given stuff like crops that haven't been cooked into anything, too. Then when you've got a kitchen and so on, you can cook things that'll increase friendship more.
I think it's kinda like some marriage options are meant to be more difficult, so their gifts are harder to obtain?
But I think you're right for Mammon - definitely ore and gems. Shiny stuff lol! His only food option is ramen, of course. In some games, you can find old coins from mining, so if you ever get one of those, I think he'd like that, too. He also likes clothes and such, so maybe fabric?
Levi feels impossible lol. You can't exactly gift him manga. I like the boiled egg option. Maybe he also likes fish? Shells and stuff you can find on the beach?
Asmo would like flowers and perfume. I think Belphie would like things like wool and fabric, but also milk 'cause ya know cows. But I'm having a little trouble with Satan. I mean you can't just give him an entire cat. And I don't think you'd be able to give him books, either. Then again, Satan is known for liking animals in general not just cats. So maybe you could give him any animal byproduct and that'd work?
Ohhh the marriage token... hmm. Well I've seen the blue feather, a ring, a pendant, and a comb as options before... so like my first thought is a black feather. But then there's also the Ring of Light though that's kinda Lucifer specific. I think it would be interesting to involve pacts somehow, but that will only work for demon characters. It could just be a standard ring situation or a feather, but the color changes depending on the character. I'm not sure though!
Ahhh now I wanna play this game so bad lol!

Who’s better in each role with the two current uk les mis casts?
valjean - jon robyns or dean chisnall
although there are aspects of jon’s performance i love (eg the way he completely commits to the valvert energy), it’s got to be dean. the man is one of the best valjeans i’ve ever seen. his entire portrayal is just so perfect. his vocals have also improved again after they were sometimes a bit dodgy during the staged concert.
javert - bradley jaden or nic greenshields
do i even have to bother with this one? there’s literally no comparison between the two. even if you don’t like some of his acting choices, you have to admit that bradley literally never sings a note out of tune. he’s also literally giving EVERYTHING on stage every single performance. nic gives very little acting wise and is very shaky vocally. bradley is quite genuinely superior in every way.
fantine - katie hall or chanice alexander burnett
katie hall all the way. chanice’s portrayal is very flat and one dimensional whereas katie is genuinely heartbreaking in the role. also katie’s voice is beautiful.
marius - will callan or harry apps
you know as i was watching him today i was thinking that harry has finally really blossomed into the role. his vocals are SO much stronger now and he hardly ever makes mistakes (which he used to be VERY prone too). will is good too! but he’s very young and new and needs a bit of time to get used to it!
enjolras - samuel wyn morris or jordan shaw
jordan is one of the most bizarrely miscast people i’ve ever seen in the show. he just doesn’t fit the role at all. he has a very contemporary voice and his acting is just…Very Strange.samuel on the other hand gets better every time i see him. sort of hoping he just gets made permanent principal on the tour tbh.
eponine - nathania ong or sha dessi
this is actually very close. both absolutely fantastic eponine’s but have to say sha is a little more to my taste acting wise!
cosette- paige blankson or charlie burn
going to be real and say neither are fantastic at hitting the notes but paige hits them more often than charlie and actually acts so yeah, paige.
thenardier - gerard carey or ian hughes
so before lockdown gerard was fantastic. he was terrifying and genuinely unhinged. idk if he’s bored or being badly directed or what but that’s just not the case anymore. meanwhile ian is truly fantastic, a proper vintage thenardier before it just became constant adlibs and trying to steal the scene. (also ian was stubbornly singing the original beggars at the feast line until the creative team sat through the show one night in previews and clearly forced him to stop)
madame thenardier- helen walsh or josefina gabrielle
helen all the way. i just don’t enjoy josefina in the role at all.
grantaire - steven hall or connor jones
connor has really impressed me with how he nails the humour and the sadness of grantaire. hes also added a lot of little details to his portrayal. steven is very basic in what he does and doesn’t really commit to the humour so connor is the fave here.

Six Sentence Sunday!
I’m gonna do this before I forget this time lol. Thank you to the wonderful @carryonsimoncarryonbaz and @annabellelux for tagging me, you two are the best <3
Some of you may know (mostly just @carryonmylovelies lol) that I’ve been playing around with a Star Trek AU because I’ve been rewatching DS9 (my fave star trek EVER) and I’m like a toddler, I’m most influenced by what I’ve last watched lol. So here’s a short-ish early bit from one of the fics featuring Baz PiningTM. Enjoy!

When I imagined this station, I’ll admit that I pictured something like the ones near the Federation core. Deep Space 61 is...not like that. For one thing, it’s much smaller. I estimate this place could hold maybe three thousand people if you squeeze together. The floors are scuffed from lack of cleaning. And the people are much more casual. On core stations, almost everyone is Starfleet, all good straight backed officers. Here they wear colourful jumpsuits or long flowing dresses, acting in whatever way they want. They’re all so different. Good, that’s exactly what I’m here for.
“Hey! Stop running!” That distant voice is all the warning I get before two people crash into me. I stumble back and nearly fall over. One is a Bolian and the other is a Ferengi, both no older than teenagers. They mumble out apologies before bolting off again. I turn around, ready to chase after the two myself.
“Oi!” My head snaps up. And my heart completely stops. “Desalan! Tuk! Stop right now, you numpties!”
The kids freeze for only a moment before running again to the left. Snow jumps off the balcony in one smooth motion. His beautiful crimson wings stretch out behind him as he easily glides down towards the two of them. He snatches both their collars and lifts them off the ground. The Bolian hangs still with his arms crossed while the Ferengi puts up more of a fight.
“Put me down!” he shrieks. “I’m a citizen of the Ferengi Alliance, you have no authority over me, Federation lackie!”
Snow snorts, an uncharacteristic smug smile on his lips. “Hate to tell you, Tuk, but as long as you’re on my Federation station, you’re under my Federation authority. Thought you had figured that out by now. So, are you going to empty your pockets on your own, or will I have to shake you both out by the ankles again?”
Desalan and Tuk both huff then do as Snow says. A surprising amount of shiny metals, scarves, and ceramic trinkets come out. How on Earth did they fit all that in there? They seem to finally finish, a sea of goods at their feet. But when Snow glares at the little Ferengi, he groans and takes out a large Bajoran opal ring.
“Now was that so hard?” Snow asks. The boys grumble and glare at him. “This is the second time I’ve caught you two stealing. If there’s a third, I’ll toss you in a holding cell for a week.”
“My mother would never allow that,” Desalan says indignantly.
“Oh, I think Lieutenant Commander Varma would agree with me wholeheartedly.” Snow sighs. There’s a kindness in his eyes that makes me want to melt. “You know, Dessie, petty theft won’t get the kind of attention you want from her. It’s just going to make her want to ignore you more. Talking it out would work much better.”
Desalan’s cheeks turn a darker shade of blue as he looks away. Stars, he’s still exactly the same. Rough around the edges, but so unbelievably, fundamentally good. My heart is going at warp speed, I swear.
Snow gently places them on the ground. “This is your last warning. Don’t let me catch you two at this again, alright?”
“Yes, Lieutenant Snow,” they say unison.
“Good. Run along now.” They do as he says, bolting down the left corridor. Snow sighs and puts his hands on his hips. “Those kids, what am I going to do with them?”
He turns his head, and our eyes finally meet. Snow’s perfect pretty mouth drops open. “Baz? Baz Grimm-Pitch?!”
I stand straight with arms over my chest. “Hello again, Snow.”

After thinking for a little bit, I decided to give you ... Gaster (Undertale Gaster)! Here are a few reasons why. First of all, Gaster is the attentive type. The quiet type that hardly opens up. The fact that you would be able to notice what he feels without him needing to tell you would be something that he would really appreciate. He might not open up to you a lot, but he will try to be there for you whenever you would need support.
