Join me for an epic overland adventure to Coyote Creek in the Anza Borrego Desert State Park, in eastern San Diego county, Southern California. This is one of the most pristine and beautiful desert wilderness areas I have ever seen, and is only accessible beyond the first few miles by high clearance 4 wheel drive vehicles. The northernmost area of Borrego Springs is the entry point to Coyote Canyon for vehicle traffic, and the winter wildflowers are starting to bloom over the open fields.

He asked her out to Desert Bloom, a park in Oasis Springs. When she got there he was nowhere in sight. She texted him and waited for him by the entrance. Not long after she was greeted by surprise hug from behind.
It took her off guard. She turned in his arms all her feelings for him combatting each other. He pulled her into a hug. She let it go on for a bit longer than she should have, not sure if she was ready to face him.
They had barely pulled apart when he brought a gentle hand to her cheek. “Hey Beautiful.”
She fought back the urges to cry and to kiss him. Life was so short, did she really want to call it off with him? She put her head against his chest, refusing to look him in the eyes. “Hey. You wanted to talk?”
Don sighed and brought her to a bench. They talked about how they were doing today just to settle into a somewhat comfortable conversation. Then came the “What went wrong” and “We were great together” and “We can still be great together” it was all a lot.
“How do I know you’re serious?” She wanted to trust him that he could put his bad habits and choices behind him for her. “Will you cut off all communication with them?”
Don held her hands. “Of course.” He did just that in front of her, ending any and all existing romances he had before he met her. “I’ll even keep my distance from Venessa, we don’t have any romance, but what I did is unforgivable and I want you to be comfortable.”

For years I haven’t been able to participate much because I barely read any fics anymore, but Trigun has definitely changed that, so here it is! A rec list of every fic I’ve enjoyed so far!
I have terrible memory and not enough brain power to leave a note about each one, but I put a ♡ next to every fic I particularly loved!
