#nips photos#personal#sweater weather sweater weather#I also went to the dentist yesterday and I'm almost done with my orthodontics after almost two years!! just two more months#now I look like I have at least 10 more teeth in my mouth for some reason but I'm really happy with the results!!#but then I need to get a molar pulled and two implants and one requires more bone so that's a surgery cool cool cool cool#will I ever be free!! this is all so damn expensive!! but I have an infection in the bone so I have to 🥲#anyway please take care of your teeth don't be like me and let them get to this point 😫

Is there a way to read all the comics in order? I have read a few out of order and love the characters but feel like I’m missing out
hellooo!! thank you so much for liking the characters and my stories!!! at the moment there's no set 'order' for any of my comics, whether they are for my various AUs or for starstruck's story
i've been meaning for months now to make a master post for my AUs, and as i've been working so much on starstruck's story lately (sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyy) i should probably also make one for her too. but as of right now, it's all just loose bits floating about my blog
that said, i think that the best "order" of the comics would likely always be in the order i released them. there is a clear chronological series of events in all my stories, but i definitely tend to release comics outside of that order
however, when i release a new piece- whether it's a comic, art piece, or even just text answer- i am keenly aware of exactly what i have revealed before, and what i'm revealing in each update. so while updates may not be in 'chronological order' of the story, they are in the order i hope will be satisfying for you as the reader, and an order that is satisfying for me to draw 😂
someone once pointed out that they felt most everything in my work (art, captions, tags) is incredibly intentional, and i was chuffed to see that, because i actually work quite hard to make sure it is 😂 i feel like this is a community that appreciates that sort of thing, so i've been endeavouring to make it an immersive experience for the folks who really wanna Go In on it? but if it ever gets pretentious or people genuinely hate it i'll obviously quit it omg;;
if you feel like something is not yet obvious or clear, there is quite a good chance it's not you missing out on something, but that it's intentionally being left vague to preserve some suspense! however if you ever want to check something like this and make sure i haven't revealed/answered something clearly somewhere, feel free to shoot me an ask and i can link you to any answers (if they exist)
until then, the current best way to find stuff 'in order' on my blog is by going through tags in chronological order. for starstruck in particular this is a little bit messy as there's also a lot of fanart or silly doodles that aren't Lore Related in her tag... maybe i should address that. it was all a bit sudden 😂
for now, the best i can really offer is a few of my tags with the chronological sorting feature added. let me know if this helps you find what you're looking for. otherwise like i said, always feel free to ask!

turns out they scheduled my post-op appointment two weeks too early, so i don't have to return until March... yay? anyway got an errand or two to run, and then later is the next part of 'insomniac'!

Held off a panic attack at the dentist this morning by the absolute skin of my teeth and figured i'd be ok for my shift thanks to the power of coffee and a good face-scrubbing. One patient said my hair looked super cute and another asked what perfume i was wearing (it was my conditioner), so i was like ok, i'm good...but no less than four people i actually work with have asked me if i'm okay so bit of mixed results, there.
#i get to be referred to a peridontist wooo#i mean i know that was coming#but the dentist was like Doubt.png when they were about to do the cleaning because#(as mentioned before re holding back panic) he was like 'are you ok?' and i was like 'mmhuh' and there was a long dubious pause#and then he said ok we'll start with one tooth okay? see how we go#did like five teeth and then he patted my hands and went 'relax your hands okay you will break your hands dear'#and then when he was filling out my referral form he was like 'i will recommend maybe you try some sedation okay?'#and on the form itself it's like 'pt will require sedation for treatment' and i was like yeah ok

one of the worst parts about trying to be healthy and limit processed sugar intake is that like. I just got back from the dentists (which I fucking loathe even though everything’s fine) and they put the stupid. Fluoride shit on my teeth.
can’t have anything hot or hard for 3 hours, but CAN have soft and cold, and after dealing with the fucking dentist I just want some soft serve ice cream but it’s a Wednesday and that’s not an option rn :(

oh I am legitimately terrified of the dentist aren't I
#and terrified of having dental issues. which as you can imagine is a spectacular combination. throw a cavity in there and now it's just#terror across the board.#I had to have teeth pulled to make room for braces. this was before I knew I had EDS. the local anesthesia didn't work.#that was 4 teeth in one sitting.#I am so so so so scared and I want to cry and my dentist is 2 hours away#so I have to find a new dentist which requires phone calls#which I am ALSO terrified of!#this is hell btw. I am barely holding back tears.

like ok lemme give you a fucking recap of my Dentistry Experience
>be me 9ish. go to dentist for first time since i was 3 bc my mom spent all our child support money on plane tickets. dentist says you have three cavities so big we need to pull your teeth
>they put me on anesthesia that i say doesnt work. it doesnt work so im in excruciating pain while they yank out the three teeth
>i get switched to second dentist and a few years later after x-ray am told my canines are growing into the roof of my mouth and i need surgery and braces to have them fixed. dentist then says i can keep on the braces after i get my canines fixed so my teeth will be straight. i tell him i don't care if my teeth are straight and i want them off as soon as my canines are in the right place
>get the surgery and start going to second dentist. he sometimes cuts pieces of my tongue off and after his visits im in so much pain i cant speak. when i ask when i'm getting my braces off he tells me to stop being impatient and refuses to give me an answer
>eventually he says that my canines should be fine and i say ok please take the braces off. he says no because my teeth aren't straight. my mom says no because my teeth aren't straight.
>dentist welds a metal bar to the top of my mouth. it's positioned so that it cuts into my tongue leaving me with a permanent bloody painful wound in my mouth for the several years it's in despite repeatedly telling him and mom what's happening and begging for them to take it out. they say no because my teeth aren't straight
>dentist welds a metal bar behind my bottom teeth with so much glue that after i finally got another dentist to remove it years later they weren't able to get all the glue off and it took several more appointments. also just to straighten my teeth
>YEARS LATER i get the dentist to remove the metal bar. it leaves a scar on my tongue that hasn't healed almost a decade later.
>YEARS LATER i get the dentist to remove the braces.
>after that they immediately give me a retainer they say i need to wear all day. i say for how long they say for the rest of my life. i say Why. they say because otherwise your teeth won't stay straight
>i do not wear the retainer because i already didn't care about my teeth being straight before all this happened and sure fucking didn't now. so my canines are still crooked so yeah all of that was for nothing
#c.paradisi#uh ask to tag#recently i found this article#about another dentist who gave his clients a bunch of unnecessary shit so he could upcharge them#and the article was like yeah the usa has. idr exactly but theyre not considered medical professionals#so they dont require the same training or oversight doctors do#so theres just a ton of malpractice and most of its never caught or punished#and i was like ohhhh. yeah i guess that happened to me huh#what makes me insane is how clear i was from the beginning that i wanted them off as soon as the medical issue was resolved#and NOBODY EVER LISTENED TO ME.#i got tortured for YEARS and permanently scarred my tongue bc my mom wanted me to have straight teeth and a dentist wanted money#awesome! very cool!#ANYWAY.#im going to a normal dentist now and yeah all that shit was Not normal.#also its nice to be an adult bc while i was in for a cleaning the assistant was like you should get a retainer to straighten your teeth#and i said No 👍 and that was the end of it

I'm at a spot where I'm realizing, after 28 years on this earth as a natural redhead, that 99% of the annoyances of my body are because of this accursed gingeritis
#and it's always shit i would never really think to connect to being a redhead!#had a routine eye appointment today and asked the doctor why my eyes feel tired if I'm in a room with an overhead light#but not if im in a room with lamps on. and she said its because redheads have light-sensitive eyes. come the fuck on!#my dentist told me last month ''remember that you are a redhead and everything about you is physically sensitive and requires different#care and attention than other people'' for fucks sake#i would just like to be normal please. i am so sick of having sensitive everything#in my next life i hope i am a man with tough skin that requires little to no extra maintenance beyond basic hygiene
