Quick guide to my deathguard bases for anyone interested
I start with a thin covering ot the Stirland Battlemire and let that completely dry, i then go over that with the vallejo water texture and while its still wet i loosely mix the Ak plague ground, while the water/plage ground is still wet i sprinkle on the battlefield snow and leave it to dry completely (this is the longest step =~=), when that is dry, i go over the entire base as well as a little bit of the model where it meets the base with vallejo slimy grime, when everything is dry, i go over it in satin varnish and add the grass and other things i want to give a bit more character to the base
Putting the finishing touches on a Foul Blightspawn. Over the moon with how the tank cover came out. For my second one I plan to hollow out the tank, put a nurgling inside and fill with resin.
It seems like an addiction painting anything Nurgle. One space wolf and I need a break, but these plague marines, I just don’t own enough. Maybe the defiler or blight haulers will change my mind.
With the plague gods army growing and placed as the studios permanent second army, I invested in @thearmypainter necrotic flesh spray paint. It’s slightly brighter, but works amazing and speeds up the process a ton. Now if I could just get a spray that only does highlights… squad 2 of plague marines reaches 6 with the recent addition of a champion. As always, more to come.
"In the harmony of decay and destruction, our Predator weaves the song of the end of days. Nurgle watches and smiles. As we pass, the ground behind us is overgrown with poison, we sow the rot whose harvest is eternal. You cannot escape the shadow of our cannons, each shell is a seed of plague, a herald of the end of all that is alive."
