Death Tolls

Well, this is a grim fucking post, but I saw this happen after Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico so soon after Hurricane Irma, so I know the misinformation that will go around.

Whenever Israel stops bombing Palestine - and please may that happen soon! - the death tolls numbers are going to start being reported.

The initial numbers are going to be inaccurately low.

The infrastructure for counting deaths will have broken down in Palestine. To know the death toll, someone is going to have to count the dead, and that's going to take time.

The first narrative in the media will be that only a small number died from Israel's bombing. This is lie.

After that will come quibbling and arguing about how people died. Did they die from a bomb or from drinking unclean water? There will be an attempt to absolve the Israeli government and military (supported by the U.S. government and funded by U.S. taxpayer dollars) of a portion of the deaths, as if they aren't all the cause of the genocide that's still being perpetrated as I type this.

Expect to see the phrase "natural causes" thrown around. A bacterial infection is a natural cause, and you will see people ignore that the bacterial infection stemmed from the Israeli military and government preventing clean water and electricity and humanitarian aide from going into Gaza.

It’s actually insane how some of you justify your antisemitism. And yes, this time I’m specifically talking about being anti-Israel.

When Israel is attacked by Hamas, it’s their fault for retaliating. When is Israel is attacked by Iran, it’s ok because it’s retaliation. When Israel calls out the UN for being unhelpful, they’re getting what they deserve. When Israel asks the UN to step up, it’s a sad cry for help.

THEY CAN’T ATTACK, THEY CAN’T DEFEND, THEY CAN’T ASK FOR HELP, THEY CAN’T CONDEMN TERRORISTS, WHAT CAN THEY DO?? BE BLOWN TO BITS??? IS THAT WHAT YOU’RE WAITING FOR? WHAT MAKES ISRAEL SO SPECIAL??

It is no coincidence that Israel can’t do anything right and that it houses 7 million Jewish refugees. It’s the oldest excuse in the book. “It’s just the zionists!” Israeli children are children, too. They have no better of a concept of Zionism than you, and yours is scarce. Zionism IS LITERALLY ABOUT JEWS.

Just say you won’t be happy until half the world’s Jews are dead. It’s a lot better to be an antisemite when you’re comfortable with your identity.
