Picked up Starfield awhile back on sale, and finally got around to playing it.
In a truly bizarre side quest, I returned to my home planet and spontaneously joined a street gang for the express purpose of fighting a gang war against some assholes I'd only just heard of. To earn the trust of the gang leader I performed a stealth mission without killing anyone, greatly pleasing him. After securing armor for the gang, we then engaged the enemy gang in open street warfare and slaughtered them all. Just as I got done killing the last one, the local police arrived to announce that our gang was now being conscripted into the police and I was free to go.
what the fuck

There's some dude (derogatory) on FB who is PISSED people are pricing their farm fresh eggs at $2 and $3 a dozen instead of $4+, saying it's "disrespectful" and "undignified" and "I'm trying to feed my kids" like Sir, you are on a Facebook group page bitching about your neighbors egg prices because your pet chickens aren't earning you a living wage and you think it's your neighbors' fault, you do not have a leg to stand on here wrt dignity.
Also half the answers are like "I give them to friends and family free" or "I donate them to food banks" or "I'm making them affordable to folks who might not otherwise be able to get them now that they're so expensive in the store" and "if you think you're going to turn a profit keeping backyard chickens you have been wildly misled" and so on, and so forth, and I'm so living for it.
and I can tell you right now, he did NOT like my answer of "if you're trying to feed your kids, I hear eggs are edible."

Unfortunately, Gilgamesh was too cool. He oppressed the people of Uruk, taking their lunch money and getting real friendly with all their moms. And so the people cried out to the gods for deliverance. "Save us," they said. "Gilgamesh is much bigger and hotter than us and we cannot stop him."
The gods heard their pleas and sent Bigfoot to kick Gilgamesh's ass. However, the gods overlooked one very important fact, which is that they were both bisexual.

People trying to describe the 2008 housing market collapse, financial crisis and recession saying things like "To Be Fair And Balanced, a lot of the people receiving those loans had no business getting them." Frankly, I think that's the wrong way to phrase the situation.
When 99.99% of a problem is corporate malfeasance, I don't think the 0.01% of it that was "poor people bought houses that were too big" is even worth talking about. It's not helpful and it just plays into the notion that you can Personal Responsibility your way around an economic collapse.
It is very weird that the entire concept of the predatory lender vanishes whenever we talk about this shit.

One thing I appreciate about John Wick and Nobody is that having some potential adversaries with a self-preservation instinct does way more to set up your guy as being badass than any number of suicidal dumbasses.
Just having some tough/experienced looking guy recognize your protagonist and go "Ah. I see. No thanks!" and peace out is just so much better than any number of badass speeches from Tough Guy about the Tough Guy things he's about to do.

please block me if you read books with death in them. i don’t care your “reason” - it’s clear you have a death fetish, are pro-necrophilia, and think killing is okay. i don’t care if someone you know died recently or if you have a terminal illness. it is not okay to consume fiction with death in it to cope. and that’s that on that, you freaks. pro-death crowd dni.
