Dantooine Incursion
I got very few screencaps of note for my first run through of this, though I’m sure that I’ll be able to get more on a later character. In between dodging server issues, I did enjoy the content which I got to go through. Tomorrow I intend to actually go through at least some of the Dantooine missions.
The excitement of this has managed to get some of the muses talking again, so I’m hoping to have some new writing soon!
Spoilery things under the cut.
Okay so when everything came out about Ossus, Corey - as A’den Koli’arr - decided to honour his agreement with the Republic, using his status within the Empire to help destabilise things from within. Lana was somewhat surprised, but she took the news well, and things have been good there, as far as we can tell. They managed to match outfits again, too.
Koth! It was so good to see him back in the middle of things again, even if he was only checking in briefly. He’s doing good work, despite the circumstances, as he does.
Was sad to see Bey’wan go, but Corey couldn’t give an inkling as to his true intentions. They shook hands, and parted amicably, at least. After a productive meeting with the remaining members of the Alliance command structure, he had a chat with Theron, which went remarkably well, though for some reason I forgot to screencap that. all things considered. Let him in on the truth, since despite everything that happened, he’s always had Corey’s back.
There was just time enough for a quick change, before dealing with the Imperials, getting ready for their big day.
The Sith in question invited Corey to speak at a rally that they were holding on Vaiken Spacedock to boost the morale of the troops about to head into battle. A great honour, I’m sure.
Looks like this is the place. Practically a mob gathered already...Please excuse my incredibly untidy UI, I recently redid it, and need to finish sorting it out again.
This gentleman was the one who called. I do like his outfit, could see one of mine wearing something like it, though I’m not sure what it is. He escorted Corey to the site of the rally, where he listened to the end of a rousing speech by Darth Krovos.
“Working out how to mess this up is actually taking quite a lot of concentration, but I’ll figure it out.” He was polite to her though, congratulating the newly minted Dark Council member on her promotion.
Finally, it was time for the Commander to speak. As ever, with his speeches, he would bring great gusto, his words capable of swaying the hearts and minds of most of those who listened.
Mr Balkar seemed pleased with his performance. Nobody flubs a speech like the Alliance Commander, after all. With a smile of satisfaction at a job well done, he made his way back to his ship. Nobody had noticed anything out of the ordinary, certainly. He was a bounty hunter, not an orator, right? Nobody would expect him to whip up a crowd, despite the fact that he’d done so, many times before?
Well, maybe one person noticed. Be careful though, I hear those brain worms cause quite the head cold.

New Dantooine love scene w/ Theron
This is the new short scene between Theron and my character. It's how I decided what happened both them in that sweet conversation. Enjoy.
Theron bit his bottom lip as he watched Lana's retreating form. Oddosal raised an eyebrow as Theron slowly made himself around the conference table.
"I thought we could use a moment...alone." Theron said as he rocked from one foot to the other. Oddosal nodded, knowing Theron wanted to say something he thought was important but private as well.
"I...have to admit, it feels weird fighting against the Republic. Probably should have seen a day like this coming. And...somehow, I just never did."
Oddosal lowered his eyes to the floor knowing it hurt Theron to have to say those words. He connected eyes again when Theron let out a deep sigh.
"I get it. They've never once had your back over the years. And...Sarash brought out the worst in them," they both grimaced at the mention of her name.
"Even so, I need to know your in this to win a war. Not to crush my old home into dust," Theron pleaded, eyes searching for an answer he couldn't find.
Oddosal eyes slightly widened at the worry and hurt in Theron's gaze. The look reminded him of the one Theron gave him back when they stood on that train on Umbara, a shield between them. Or that time on Nathema when he revealed the truth and confessed to still loving him, just wanting to be believed.
Oddosal reached up with both hands to cup Theron's face. Theron respond by leaning into it and gripping one wrist into own hand with a soft smile.
Oddosal pulled him to face him and stared directly into his eyes.
"We do only what's needed to win. I want security and prosperity for the empire, not the total destruction of the Republic."
He could feel the relief rolling off of Theron at his words. Theron grabbed the other wrist and squeezed both tightly before pulling them down to hold between their bodies.
"Then we're on the same page."
Theron looked down at their joined hands with with a soft smile before looking up at Oddosal through his lashes. He took a step forward and lowered his voice, as if what he was about to say was a secret between them.
"Why don't we take a speeder across the canyon, get lost in the woods for a while...have a little adventure, just the two of us?"
Oddosal eyes widen at the sudden boldness before he grinned, let go of one of Theron's hands to wrap it around his waist, and pull him forward. Theron tilted his head up as Oddosal lowered his so that their lips met in a heated kiss. Pulling away after making each other thoroughly breathless, they both smiled at each other before Theron tugged their still conjoined hands as he walked backwards.
"I'll take that as a yes."
Oddosal's eyes gleamed as he was pulled eagerly out the room. He made a mental note to return to make that holocall, but knew it would be much, much later.

The hardest part of “Dantooine Incursion” is not waiting in line for objectives on Dantooine, or dodging mobs, or hunting the secret achievements, or scrounging up all the credits to appease the pirates.
The hardest part is trying to pick appropriate outfits for the news interview/troop rally.

6.3 Secrets of The Enclave
Just got done with the new flashpoint and I have some Opinions[tm]
Cut for spoilers so be warned...
Overall I enjoyed the story. However I came out of it feeling wanting. I had hoped for something meatier from this story but unfortunately it just felt like a flashpoint to nudge the progression a millimetre further. We knew that Malgus was going to do this for ages now and I had hoped that more could have been done to set up the story going forward. Still, for what it was, it was an enjoyable hour or so that I spent in the story mode.
The characters were decent. While Malgus felt like a threat across the flashpoint, I had hoped we could get to battle him at least a bit. I think his over arching sense of fear would have been better preserved if the teaser SWTOR’s twitter shared didn’t have the line “I have broken my chains” which basically said ‘yeah he succeeds it makes no difference.’ so because that is technically spoiled, I had hoped for a fight at least.
Commander Golah was a fun villain in place of Malgus. Personally, I got some Indiana Jones villain vibes from him. It would have cool to have that amped up a bit further. But as a boss he was fun for what little we saw of him. Given that there is the option to kill or spare him, I figure he isn’t coming back. SWTOR has got to take away the kill option for a while. It’s too much. Let us have some characters that exist for a while.
I felt that Aryn was good if a touch one note. She felt very similarly like she did in the Deceived novel, which is understandable but I had hoped that she would be a little matured given how long it’s been. She felt a touch too brash at times. I did however find the varying levels of trust the other Jedi had of her to be interesting. Arn sticking up for her was fantastic. You go, bud.
Speaking of Arn, there’s honestly not much to say. It was great to see him again. Yet I felt he came across as an exposition character for the most part until the end moments where he spoke up against the Nautolan Jedi (who’s name I regret not taking note of...) I also see they still haven’t fixed his companion model to have the correct lightsaber and he still has the Derelict Lightsaber model instead of his own.
I will say some of the exposition delivered by Arn was interesting. I specifically noted how he chimed in with his “Not anymore” addition after Aryn said “Jedi don’t wipe your memories if you decide to leave”. I have to admit I don’t remember this being a thing in other pieces of SW media pre-SWTOR, but if true. Damn. That’s dark. I also thought it was funny that they explained his presence and why he knew this by saying ‘Oh yeah he studied the ruins’ but it doesn’t really do anything interesting except explain why he can deliver exposition.
The ruins of The Enclave themselves... oh boy... I have such mixed emotions on this. The ruins themselves were modeled perfectly to how I remember KOTOR 1 and 2. I had a moment upon leaving the sub-level via the elevator, picking up the explosives around the open area and setting foot into the corridor. It was only upon seeing that corridor did I realize exactly where I was standing and that the open area I had just been in had been the landing pad where the Ebon Hawk sits in KOTOR 1. I had to stop for moment and just go back look around and notice all the details like the walls and doors and how it felt so familiar to how it looked back in 2004 when I first played it.
Nostalgia then became corrupted by the frustration I already went into this update feeling. Frustration that SWTOR was again keeping an aspect of the game instanced that I strongly feel should have been open for exploration. Like if they want to have a flashpoint in the enclave, fine, but why can’t there be more of Dantooine to explore? To get to go and explore those ruins at our leisure. The area is so well crafted and faithfully remodeled that it really feels like such a shame to place it where it is. It’s the same problem as Copero, Umbara, and Reborn Nathema in my opinion. I can’t see why this game update couldn’t have been bundled with the pirate incursion quests and released as planet like Ossus. Anyway that’s my complaint about that. However, Master Sal-Deron suggests placing forces at other Jedi sites... if we get Rhen Var or another world as a flashpoint only planet, I will personally fly to Texas and slap the design team.
I would also like to mention, the introduction of Master Sal-Deron and the Nautolan Jedi Archivist is very appreciated and I hope we see more of them. I don’t remember it being explicitly stated that they are Jedi Council members but I like to think that they might be. If so, I’m glad the Jedi Order is starting to see some regrowth like this. I also like having Sal-Deron’s name in my pocket now so I can use that character for some of my OC’s backstories to either introduce them or reintroduce them to The Jedi Order.
So in summary; Secrets of The Enclave, an entertaining hour of voiced dialogue with honestly minimal story and frustratingly well designed nostalgia... in short...

Alas, I don’t /think/ that’s aurebesh. Looks kind of like the secondary alphabets they use for Random Stuff like the tablets in Sith tombs.
Hahaaha... I think we see how good my Aurebesh is 🤣 It’ll be interesting if anyone winds up translating what that is. I wonder if it’s Ancient Sith? Or the Zakuulan alphabet? 🤷♀️
