Once I got started on this, I couldn’t stop. Literally all I meant to do was make some line art for later out of a title card template I found to redraw from scratch for Halloween, but I got carried away while experimenting with some recolors as you can see...

I did redo Danny’s face since there were a lot of subtle differences between the concept art and the final version. Still, I’m sure you all know how much I love the Fright Knight so here’s another preemptive drawing since October is right around the corner!

Disclaimer, this is purely a work of fanart and Ray Leong gets credit for the original line art since they used to work for Butch. I don’t want to get in trouble or anything for using it so I won’t be sharing the line art template I made for this just in case, I will share a link to the original its based on though so they get proper credit!

Hopefully you guys can read the text but this is basically a title drop for the upcoming Danny Program AU fanfic, “Ghost in the Machine” which seems fitting since the term refers to:

"..a phrase used to emphasize the problems associated with Cartesian dualism, in which the mind is seen as a nonphysical entity (a “ghost”) that somehow inhabits and interacts with a mechanical body (the “machine”).” ~ https://dictionary.apa.org/ghost-in-the-machine

I was going to draw something from scratch for this but the ideas I came up with will look better as their own drawings rather than a title card. So instead I took some screenshots from the episode “Kindred Spirits” when Daniel is born in this story and put fragments of those memories in front of Vlad while he makes his scary face! I also wanted to test out a new brush in Clip Studio but the lines were too rough so I ended up tracing them with new lines and adding the glow. The brushes should still work to help me figure out placements for more techy drawings in the future though!

P.S. I’m not watermarking this because this is purely fan made and I’m using screenshots from the show itself. I hope you guys will get a kick out of my little pun too in the lower right text! Oh, also, to those who celebrate it Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, it was nice while it lasted but I think my Sai trial period is getting ready to expire because some of the features aren't working properly anymore. So what better way to close things off (for now til I can get a legit copy of this program since I love it so much) then make an alternate Titlecard for "Nowhere To Run?" I've used the shadow before in the other Titlecard but I traced another screenshot for Danny's pose but Vlad was made COMPLETELY from scratch looking at references and he turned out pretty good. Still going to try and use Sai as much as I can before the demo officially ends but looks like I won't be able to make anything this elaborate unless I go back to my old methods and workarounds which kinda sucks but such is life!

I looked up title cards from Danny Phantom episodes, chose the fonts, made the outlines from existing screenshots in the show, and layered TONS of effects to get this result. I'm so glad I don't have to use the same workaround methods I used to to digitally color some drawings because while the rustic look is...ok looking back I much prefer this smoother cleaner appearance. Sadly I had another rough night so I picked something to work on as a distraction. The only real difference in this version is a few subtle changes such as the coloring and the fact that in this version I drew Vlad in human form.

Honestly, it makes more sense for him to look human given how the story starts off anyway with Vlad suspecting there's more going on with Danny but the poor teen scared of what might happen if he knew and doesn't trust Vlad enough to reveal his darkest secret concerning Dan, which as we all know is a version of Danny at his worse...
