try and make it a habit to read/listen to morning, evening and night adhkar! there are plenty of youtube videos which recite them slowly so you can repeat after them. you honestly feel so much peace and contentment and feel protected after as well!!
(Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.)
(Qur’an 13: 28)

Whoever supplicates with these words with firm belief in the morning or evening and then dies will be one of the dwellers of Jannah
Quran
So be patient, [O Muhammad]. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And ask forgiveness for your sin and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord in the evening and the morning. Ghafir 40:55
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
Shaddad bin Aus (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
The best supplication for seeking forgiveness (Syed-ul- Istighfar) is to say: ‘
(O Allah! You are my Rubb. There is no true god except You. You have created me, and I am Your slave, and I hold to Your Covenant as far as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge the favours that You have bestowed upon me, and I confess my sins. Pardon me, for none but You has the power to pardon).’
He who supplicates in these terms during the day with firm belief in it and dies on the same day (before the evening), he will be one of the dwellers of Jannah; and if anyone supplicates in these terms during the night with firm belief in it and dies before the morning, he will be one of the dwellers of Jannah.”

Here's a thought: If you are fasting, praying qiyam or waking up on time for fajr, maintaining your daily adhkar, or making abundant duaa for yourself, your people and the ummah, you have to keep in mind that the ability and opportunity to perform these ibadaat are blessings from Allah swt. It is He swt who allowed you to wake up in the middle of the night and pray for Him, it is He swt who blessed you with a healthy body that would allow you to fast, it is He swt who blessed you with a kind heart and a thoughtful soul that would generously make duaa for yourself and others. Thus, it is important to say Alhamdulillah for the ability to perform these ibadaat in the first place. Never lose that perspective. Stay humble and express your gratitude to your evergiving Lord. Alhamdulillah.

How to be a better Muslim?
identify your bad habits compare your life with our value system that is whether you are living your life according to the teachings of Islam that is according to Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad The and compare your life with the role model.
Remember Allah Almighty loves those who commit mistakes and repent. Holy Prophet (SAW) said: “By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them.” (Muslim)
Replace a bad habit with the good one.Prophet Muhammad described in these words: “Fear Allah wherever you may be; follows up an evil deed with a good one which will wipe (the former) out, and behave good-naturedly towards people.” (Tirmidhi)
Do Dua at the beginning, all along and till the end – asking Allah Almighty for help and courage to quit all the bad habits and for constancy to prevent a setback.
Maintaining the five daily prayers, the Sunnah prayers, the morning and evening adhkar, the Witr prayer, and reading a portion of the Qur’an daily
Seek knowledge and know your religion well, and you have to know the basics at the very least
make dawah for those do you think they are not on the right path
Maintaining the qiyam prayer, even if it is little

adhkars
There are many adhkars that take so little to do that we take them lightly even though they are immensely rewarding and beneficial to our spiritual health. Revive these adhkar in your daily life. Some examples:
Saying Allahu Akbar when climbing a staircase or elevator, and subhanAllah when coming down.
Saying bismillah before undertaking anything.
Saying laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa billah.
The Prophet said, ‘Should I not direct you to the words from the treasures of Paradise’, or he said: ‘Like a treasure from the treasures of Paradise?’ I said: ‘Of course, do that. Thereupon he said: ‘There is no might and no power but that of Allah.’ [Sahih Muslim]
Saying laa ilaha illallah often.
Saying the duas before going to sleep and waking up
Saying subhan-Allahi wa bi hamdihi
For him who says: ‘Subhan-Allahi wa bi hamdihi (Allah is free from imperfection, and I begin with praising Him, and to Him),’ a palm-tree will be planted in Jannah. [At- Tirmidhi].

3yan (evil eye) and sahir (magic) are real and, when afflicted it can wear you down. I'm exhausted at this point in time, and it is one of the reasons I've been inactive on here for a while.
Imam Ahmad rahimulah said: ‘Very rarely will a house be found without anyone being affected by the evil eye or jealousy.’
Morning And Evening Adhkar - A Shield For The Believers: Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said, “The morning and evening adhkar play the role of a shield; the thicker it is the more its owner will not be affected. Rather, its strength can reach to such an extent that the arrow shot at it will bounce back to affect the one who shot it.” Shaykh Uthaymeen رحمه الله said, “The morning and evening adhkar are a stronger fortress than the wall of Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj, for the one who says it while his heart is present. Ibn Katheer رحمه الله said, “Wear the ‘coat’ of adhkar so it can protect you from the evils of humans and jinn. And cover your souls with istighfar so it can erase the sins of the night and day.” The greatest of these benefits is that these adhkar keep Shaitan away from the person who recites them, and they prevent the evil from mankind and jinn from harming such people. The person who recites these adhkar on a daily basis builds around himself a fortress to protect himself from his enemy.   Allah azza wajal says, "O you who believe! Remember Allah with much remembrance. And glorify His Praises morning and evening.”[Quran 33:41,42]
"And glorify the Praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting.” [Quran 50:39

Asalaam alaikum.. can you advise on how to deal with anxiety?
24. Go to Pharaoh; He has transgressed.” 25. He said, “My Lord, put my heart at peace for me. 26. And ease my task for me. 27. And untie the knot from my tongue. 28. So they can understand my speech. 29. And appoint an assistant for me, from my family. 30. Aaron, my brother. 31. Strengthen me with him. 32. And have him share in my mission. 33. That we may glorify You much. 34. And remember You much. 35. You are always watching over us.” 36. [Allāh] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses
43. Go to Pharaoh. He has tyrannized. 44. But speak to him nicely. Perhaps he will remember, or have some fear.” 45. They said, “Lord, we fear he may persecute us, or become violent.” 46. He said, “Do not fear, I am with you, I hear and I see.
Surat Ta Ha (20) -
Dear sister, I found myself starting with these two passages that are of my absolute favorite passages in the holy Quran in general and in Surat Ta Ha in particular because in my mind when I hear the word anxiety it always connects to surat Ta Ha or what I love to call my anti-anxiety pill. Alhamdulillah.
Now why these passages? It might not be known or talked about a lot, but these verses are a proof that prophet Musa (as) had anxiety. In these verses, Allah swt orders him to go speak to the pharaoh, arguably the most tyrannizing criminal that this earth has seen. This task spikes prophet Musa's anxiety and in the first passage he asks Allah swt to (relax his chest) put his heart at peace and ease his affairs, then he requests support from a family member, his brother Harun (as) - and it is also interpreted that prophet Musa (as) had speech impairment, he has problems in his speech? Thus the " untie the knot from my tongue " duaa he made for Allah swt, so he needed to be also backed up by his brother. Can you imagine the amount of anxiety he must have been feeling and going through? Not only the Lord of the Worlds was directly speaking to him ( a surreal supernatural experience ) but also He swt was giving him such a BIG task! I mean sis! I have a thesis I need to finish and it feels like there is a mountain sitting on my chest 24/7, even when I sleep at night I have nightmares about it. And whenever I have to make an important phone call or go into the principal's office at work, I get the whole rapid heartbeats, stomachache, joint pain, shaky voice and whatnot. You know the drill.. Anyways, back to Musa (as), so what does Allah swt say? He swt doesn't tell him that he (Musa) is crazy or delusional, He swt doesn't accuse him of lack of faith, or of being dominated by the Shaytan's waswasah (whispers) like these now Shaykhs throw at us. He swt is the all-knowing, the most just, the most fair, the most merciful and the most gracious. He swt not only acknowledges prophet Musa (as)'s fear and immediately reassures him and calms his heart : you have been granted your request! " Ya Allah.. this gets me every time wallahi.
You know what's the thing we need the most when our anxiety hits? Reassurance. Full stop. Reassurance silences all the voices inside our heads, calms us down, puts our hearts to ease. And what a better place to get reassurance from other than Allah swt?
And Allah swt does it again, further down in the Surah, when faces with the task again prophet Musa (as) voices his worries again, and Allah swt doesn't get fed up with him, doesn't accuse him of being a coward or annoying.. He swt patiently assures him that He swt is with him and with his brother, He swts hears and listens. I once heard a tafseer for this verse that compares it to a mother's love, when her child goes out to play and she will reassure them by saying she is around not far away she could see them from the window and hear them if they need anything. How comforting, sübhanallah.
With that being said and clarified, let me cut to the chase before the post gets too long.
The first step to dealing with your anxiety is to actually accept it. Never be ashamed of it. It is something that even a high-ranking prophet experienced. It is not a sin, it is not your fault, it is just the way your brain is wired. And it is something that Allah swt is testing you with. And the first step to pass your test is to actually acknowledge and accept it. For me, it felt like my whole life made sense the moment I was diagnosed with anxiety. When my therapist actually uttered the words, which wasn't a long time ago, I felt so sorry for all the girls that I have been, throughout the different stages of my life whom had to struggle and push through the pain, the dilemma, the countless anxiety attacks and made it through without actually knowing what they had, while being called crazy, gaslit, disregard, attacked, humiliated, mocked, bullied, etc.. for something that they didn't do nor did they understand. So my first advice to you is to befriend your anxiety, you win nothing by fighting it and making it your enemy. On the contrary, she (oh trust me it's a she, lmao) is a part of who you are, to the point that it could define some of your personality traits, she lives in your head rent free, she is not going anywhere anytime soon, so you better make peace with her. Rejecting, hating, attacking, blaming your anxiety will only make it worse.
Another basic advice is to actually study it, learn it, identify your triggers, be in tone with your body, pay attention to your mood changes, your heart rate, the stomach pain, or whatever symptoms you experience, and identify the act or event or task that generated and triggered those symptoms. That's how you find your triggers, and then next time when you anticipate that thing, you could go through it in your head, you could rehearse or make plans, you could take all your precautions and whatnot.
As for remedies, I am no therapist, so I am not allowed to prescribe anything, but I do take pills myself when necessary. God knows sometimes it gets too much. Breathing helps. Deep thorough breaths from the tummy, they can help calm your heartbeats.. if when you feel anxious about something you would have the time to read some Quran then please do it, it really calms you down and distracts you from the problem even momentarily. Umm, you can listen to your comfort audio (be it a quran recitation or something like I have already mentioned in the post earlier today), talk to someone who makes you comfortable, whether a parent, a partner, a sibling, a best friend... and finally, I will give you my therapist's golden tip: if it doesn't work, ASK FOR HELP.
And eventually, always go back to Allah swt, the source of all comfort, the source of all reassurance and the source of all good. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Allah said, 'I am to my slave as he thinks of Me, (i.e. I am able to do for him what he thinks I can do for him). So always try to think (after you are done freaking out 😅) that Allah swt has got you, and that probably all the bad things that you are scared of won't even come true. Allah swt is the most merciful and the most gracious, He swt is the best of planners and no one has out best interest more than the Pne who created us. Alhamdulillah.
Tbh, I could go on about this for days, but I think I have written the longest answer for an ask in the history of Tumblr. So imma stop here.
I will leave you with 3 very meaningful duaas that are supposed to be recited in the morning and evening adhkar, try to incorporate them in your daily routine, and you will soon notice the difference, bi idhn Allah :)
In the name of Allah with whose name nothing is harmed on earth nor in the heavens and He is The All-Seeing, The All-Knowing. x3
Allah is sufficient for me, none has the right to be worshipped except Him, upon Him I rely and He is Lord of the exalted throne. x7
O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this life and the next. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religious and worldly affairs, and my family and my wealth. O Allah, veil my weaknesses and set at ease my dismay, and preserve me from the front and from behind and on my right and on my left and from above, and I take refuge with You lest I be swallowed up by the earth
P.s. you should know that I have written this answer for hours, taking as many breaks as my heart and my mind needed. I hope I managed to make a good enough answer for you 🤍.
May Allah swt calm your worries, and grant your heart sakinah and reassurance. Ameen.
Stay safe my dear, and don't hesitate to talk to me whenever it gets too much.
- A. Z. 🍃

Dua is one missile whose power you shouldn't ever doubt.
Sins are something whose hugeness you shouldn't ever underestimate.
Say Alhamdulillah always, keep repenting always. Do not ever forget your daily adhkar and know that ONLY Allaah swt is THE ONE worth pleasing.
Temporary. It's a temporary duniya.

Today I finally picked up my evening adhkar again, after a long break. I know I post a lot of adhkar on my blog, and there was a time where I kept highlighting the importance of maintaining your daily adhkar, morning and evening, no matter what. And that's not reya or nifaq, AstaghfiruAllah. But our journey on the path of Allah swt is a series of ups and downs, at some points we are in the peak of our ibadaat, and at some points we get so low we almost hit rock bottom. However, the most Important thing is to stay on the path, walk if you can't run and crawl if you can't walk, but, make sure you never deviate or move too far from it. Anyways, I don't know how to explain it. When I used to live alone, I needed those adhkar more than oxygen. It was compulsive for me to read them. And then when I get back to my parents' house, well a) my whole routine goes to trash, my whole system gets hacked 🤦🏽‍♀️ and b) sübhanallah! But I don't get as anxious or worried because unconsciously I am thinking baba is here and baba's got me. It puts such peace in my heart being in his vicinity. May Allah swt bless him and give him good health and longer years, ameen. However, it got me thinking, if I feel so safe just being in the vicinity of my father who brought me to life, then what about ALLAH, who has created me in the first place! The one who is THE PROTECTOR, the one who planned me, loved me, and watched over me all along, even when baba wasn't near me. And I know this might sound silly to some of y'all but it is what it is, this is how I work on myself, this is how I process things. And the daily adhkar are a great way to stay connected to Allah swt all day long and stay in his vicinity, under his protection. Sübhanallah. So, if you've read this, please make sure to read your daily adhkar/ rememberance. Jazakum Allahu kulla khayr. 🌸

Salam sister, I wanted to get some advice. Last year I felt like I was becoming the proper Muslim Allah wants me to be. I prayed all my prayers, even start to cover the prayers I missed if I did late ghusl, recited the Quran everyday with meaning and tafseer, studied the hadiths as much as possible, stopped listening to music, stopped judging people and backbiting etc. It made me so so happy and I felt so free. But one day I completely stopped praying out of nowhere and started getting very sick. I wasn't able to read the Quran, or even hear recitations. My parents forced me to listen to Surah Baqarah and I literally went insane, and started throwing up nothing. Alhamdulillah I felt much better after that, but I stopped praying properly, and rarely read the Quran. I'm trying to start again but whenever I pray, it feels like its taking so much of my energy (which never happened, I always felt refreshed after praying) and I only pray the Fardh prayers. Can you give me advice on how to focus on my salah? And can you please give me some duaas to recite after praying, I always feel a rush to get up and fold the prayer mat instead of sitting and doing dhikr. Thank you 💕
Salam sister, I'm so sorry to hear this. I can imagine how frustrating it may feel for you. Please know that Allah sees your struggle and knows that deep inside, this is not who you are. That you really want to be better. Your intentions will weigh heavily on your scales inshaAllah.
Here is an excellent duaa to recite after your prayers to help you on your journey of becoming steadfast:
Tumblr media
And in salah, try to block out any other thoughts and pray as though death awaits you after you finish. I heard a sheikh mention before that usually, we don't focus in salah because we are thinking of some other thing we're doing later or in the future. Internalizing that we may not have that time and never live to see those things will allow us to at least mentally distance ourselves from the dunya while we're praying. InshaAllah.
This should also make it easier to sit on the prayer mat after salah. Don't immediately force yourself to spend a lot of time in place. Instead, start with ayatul kursi and the duaa above. Do that for a week (or however long it takes for it to become a habit). Then you can move on and include the tasbeeh, etc. however much you feel ready to do.
---
I would also advise you to try and recite the morning and evening adhkar daily, for in them are protection for the believers. Recite them and really visualize the words as you're saying them, and remind yourself of Allah's power and mercy in every word. And I know it's difficult, but if you can force yourself to read at least a few verses of surah al baqarah every day, I'm sure it will make a huge huge difference in your life. I say this because surah al baqarah is also a great form of protection and a source of barakah.
And lastly (I'm sorry this is so long) be patient with yourself. Always tell yourself if i don't get it today, i will tomorrow. Don't give up and don't lose hope in yourself and Allah's mercy. You got this inshaAllah. May Allah make it easy for you habibty ❤
