1. What is their favorite movie? hmmm ok I’m picking Daesha! I think The Princess and the Frog would be a beloved of hers, as she’d really connect with Tiana! She’d love Mulan, too. She’d also rly like Legally Blonde!

2. What is their favorite season?

She’s an autumn person, I think! It just has her Vibes! She’d really enjoy watching the leaves change, and her caf cantina’s cozy vibes are even more immaculate in autumn!

3. What do they find annoying?

Men.

Just kidding lol. She would definitely make that joke and not mean it…usually. Homegirl has some Stuff to work through in that area. Anyways, she’s annoyed by anyone who messes up her cantina’s vibe. And everything about Twi’lek stereotypes infuriates her. But when it comes to domestic, everyday annoyances…I think she gets frustrated when people pick apart movies. She’s like “it’s my day off I took off w o r k to enjoy this so LET ME ENJOY IT”

4. How would they like to spend their Christmas or equivalent holiday?

She just celebrated Life Day with her parents for a long time, which was really intimate and enough for her. She and her parents are very close, and they’re super proud of her! Daesha loves welcoming people into her caf cantina, but she’s a bit of an introvert when she’s off work, and she’s quite the workaholic. So she doesn’t make a lot of effort socially, besides the customers who eventually become friends and family to her. One in particular…but that’s another story.

5. Do they play an instrument? If so, what? How good are they at it?

Nah, but Daesha does love listening to music! She’s got one headphone in most of the time and gives the BEST music recommendations!

6. What’s their favorite meal to eat?

Daesha’s breakfast is caf, so that one lol!

7. Do they have a favorite video game or board game?

OOH Daesha would play a lot of board/card games with her parents!! I think she’d love Monopoly lol and the card game Spades! She’s very competitive, but in a fun way. When she was a kid she was more fiery about it lol but she’s usually more chill now. Usually. Unless you get her really worked up. Also she’s secretly a gamer on her off days and story video games make her cry like nothing else, especially Undertale

8. Do they celebrate their birthday?

Her parents make her celebrate lol. and they leaked her birthday to her customers so they all join in and every year they bring decorations as soon as the store opens and hang them everywhere and buy way too much caf as a present for Daesha haha

9. What’s their bedtime routine?

she used to SUCK at self-care, but now she’s got a fire skincare routine lol. she always makes a to-do list for the next day before she goes to bed in her super organized planner! she’s an early riser, so she doesn’t stay up super late—unless it’s the night before an off-day, in which case she g a m e s so hard and then falls into bed. also occasionally she gets stuck in the hypnosis that is Brooklyn Nine-Nine and binges too many episodes. she only once in a blue moon, tho. also yes her favorite character is Rosa, closely followed by Amy

10. What’s an OC (or canon character) they like to spend time around? What do they tend to do together?

She and Hera VIBE. they connect for so many reasons and on so many levels! throughout the Rebellion, they don’t rly get to see each other, but afterwards, they reconnect, and they FaceTime/holocall or whatever about once a week! it’s therapeutic for the both of them, and they very occasionally meet up and Daesha makes her caf and they talk for hours. also Daesha loves Jacen so much she thinks he’s the cutest thing and sometimes when Hera’s out doing General Things and no one in the Ghost Crew is available she drops him off on Keothon and he hangs out with Aunt Day for a while and she lets him help out in the caf cantina! he loves being a mini barista and the customers adore him!

ok so that ask game got me thinking and I went to see if Makenna could dig up her concept art for the Derra And Dae Cause Problems On Purpose AU. Turns out she did the art AFTER I came up with the AU, not before. Memory fails yet again XD

And not only did she find the art, she reminded me of even more of the AU that i'd forgotten about! That's under the cut. and will probably make some of the art make more sense. 😂

Stuff I'd forgotten:

Derra's Sith Master was a Cathar OC i'd made and I came up with a very emotional scene just before the girls got put into stasis of Derra saying good-bye to her master, illustrated above. (thanks kenna!)

Daesha loves to hurl shakespeare-esque insults at her enemies.

Derra gets into existential debates/philosophical yelling matches with Ezra's Sith holocron post-Malachor.

The Unrequited Love Squardrangle

(allow me to explain)

The Unrequited Love Squardrangle was what makenna started calling the interpersonal relationships between the four teenagers on the Ghost in Seasons 1-2. Because Daesha is extremely pretty and Derra is ridiculously buff and Sabine is, well, Sabine, and poor ezra is Having Multiple Problems Right Now. Which turns into a running gag sort of thing in the background, in that Sabine, Derra, and Dae all have different plans on how this should end.

Daesha is trying to be a supportive sister to Derra--by playing matchmaker with her and Ezra. She just thinks the whole thing would be poetic, ok?? Sith + Jedi?? (Daesha is a hopeless romantic.) Derra is NOT a hopeless romantic and is also very not interested in Ezra, which Sabine knows. Sabine decides that if she can set up Dae and Ezra, then they can finally have peace and quiet. Derra agrees to help Sabine with her plan, then immediately starts plotting against her to invoke the Matchmaker Crush trope. Because, Unsithly-Sith that she is, Derra thrives off chaos and drama, and what is more chaotic and dramatic than teenage jealousy?

By season 3, the matchmaking has mostly died out. mostly. i mean we all saw s3e7 and believe me derra saw it too ahem. scuse me. don't know where that came from.

Dae loves romance novels. She says up really late reading them. She also stays up late talking with Sabine, which is a pain in Derra's sithly butt because she's an early riser and they all share a room. Dae has a hammock.

After Vader showed up and started following Daesha around in hopes of learning The Secrets Of The Jedi, Derra made a sign that said "It has been __ days since Vader's last dark side moment."

The number has never gotten above the single digits.

Writer Asks!

How long have you been writing? Academically and professionally? For a long time. Back when I was in school, I could usually turn out a 3-5 page paper the night before it was due and get a B+ / A- on it. In my profession, writing is actually part of my job. I like it, but it can get monotonous. A lot of the stuff I write will probably be written by a computer in a few years. If you mean creatively, then its been off and on for most of my life. When i'm engaged in an activity that motivates me, I can write quite a bit. When I started playing RPGs, many of the games allowed players to submit Literaries covering what their character was doing during "down times" and so on. That was a big thing. I planned to GM an RPG of my own once, and filled a notebook with notes on stories, NPCs, setting and so on. Sadly, my group broke up before I could run it. Its still in a drawer someplace. When I started writing SWTOR fanfic, it was the first real creative writing I had done in a while. And it… felt good. Like i hadn't used those muscles in years.

What's your favorite genre to write? Probably Fluff, followed by Angst.

Do you ever collaborate with others? @chaosandwonder was kind enough to lend me her lovely Jedi Consular for my "The Only Ones Who Can" piece. Likewise, @taraum let me borrow Daesha Ven for "A Hero’s Reward". More recently, @raven-of-domain-kwaad have been writing stories with her OCs in my Adas Legacy story. So that's going well!

Q: Has the most pets:

I would say my JC Nichen has the most pets. He’s my goody-two-shoes extraordinaire, and creatures seem to be drawn to his LS aura. He may not be able to see them, being a Miraluka, but their trusting, contented presences bring him some comfort in the challenges to come (he becomes my canon Outlander). My JK Daesha used to gripe about their impromptu menagerie when they were apprentices together, but since he got released from carbonate, she gave him his own pet room in their Coruscant stronghold.

Q: Who cheats at games: My smuggler Teeubo Ven. It’s not even a question. She learned how to cheat at cards from her older brothers Nabat and Karawn, but she quickly surpassed their skills. Probably the only ones who can tell when she’s cheating are Daesha and Nichen, but Daesha is the only one who calls her out on it. Nichen kind of has a soft spot for her.

Q: Which invented a secret language with a sibling as a child? This one would be my BH Aleanya Lenx and my TR Taelyn Tollbec. They were twins raised in the gang-ridden undercity of Coruscant, where they developed a series of signs to communicate when their father was seeing to their martial/blaster training. Of the two, Aleanya had the stronger stomach, and she would usually try to shield Taelyn from the more vicious of their father’s “lessons” (usually on how to torture people.) After they parted ways, Taelyn went through their signals as a way to feel more connected to her wayward sister.

Cinna was a hidden gem to someone like him. Absolutely stunning. Though this life had marred her in the cruelest ways, she was still able to retain a gentleness he had never seen. A soft, almost innocent demeanor that always shocked him. WARNING!!: Mentions of sexual abuse and slavery Rating: 18+ (no smut yet, but clear hints)

Her breathing was deep, even and content. He could see from the corner of his eye a ghost of a smile gracing her beautiful pink lips. Her blue eyes flickering up at him every now and then, as if she was checking that he was still there. Eager to feel his presence. He knew it was wrong of him to do this. To play into her fantasy of him being her knight in shining armor. Give her any hope that he was here to save her from this life. He knew it was wrong to buy her for a night just so he didn’t have to think of another scum's hands on her while he was around. He couldn’t stand the idea of seeing her cry again. A young Trandoshan was dragging the girl by her collar causing her to choke. Her already bruised face turned a deeper shade of pink from the lack of oxygen the Trandoshan ignored her. He tried to put up his walls, ignore her, and look away. Aurra would have scolded him for sticking his neck out for a nobody, but before he could even think his blaster was smoking in his hand and taking the young twi’lek for himself. The people there only spared him a quiet glance, but otherwise did not interfere. Though, he supposed they knew better. He set her down in a private room, getting her water which she took graciously, and then set to work cleaning the residue from his blaster. While she recuperated, he tried to set up his walls again. Feelings were fatal in this line of work, anything that could be used against you, would be. Another lesson he learned from Aurra Sing. However Cinna had a talent for cutting through his thoughts like a hot vibroblade through bantha butter. “You are a good man” She said through gasping breaths and wiping away her stubborn tears. It shocked him slightly. This was not the first time they had met. She knew exactly who he was, and had seen his cruelty first hand. “I am not a good man” He had said firmly, taking her chin gently between his forefinger and his thumb “But I am not them.” She merely croaked out a bitter laugh in response, “You are good enough,” She said. The smile she gave him, though her face was bruised and lip split, made his hard gaze soften. He was brought back from his memories by the gentle touch of a hand caressing his cheek. It was then he realized that he had been staring, and she was staring straight back at him. His amber eyes searched hers for a moment, taking in the small flecks of purple and black in her bright irises which sparkled almost eagerly at the attention. His eyes fell from hers flicking down to her soft pink lips for just a moment. It felt wrong, but he wanted nothing more than to kiss her. She must have read his mind, because she began to lean forward her thumb brushing his cheek. He immediately jerked his head back and turned himself back to his holo pad, catching the glimpse of rejection in her eyes as he did. “You don't have to do that” He said firmly, scrolling aimlessly on his holo pad. “I…” She hesitated for a moment, “I want to.” She admitted hushly. “No.” He said firmly “You don’t” “You see me as some kind of hero,” He continued sternly, still unable to look at her “Your knight in shining mandalorian armor, but deep down, I think you know who I am. What I am capable of and what I would do.” He said. “Boba” She sighed, making the hair on the back of his neck prickle. It was rare that she actually said his name and he cherished how it rolled off her tongue. So much so that he couldn’t even resist when she took his holo pan and set it down on some nearby surface and straddled his hips boldly. “Little one” He growled in warning. “Is that

how you really see me?” She asked, caressing his face gently and bringing his gaze to meet her own “ I know. I know you would have killed me if jaba gave the word and greased your palms with enough credits.” She said, “ You could have easily turned me into jabba and gotten a reward-” “No, I owed-” “Daesha, my sweet cousin, I know and you honored your promise,” She shushed him “And ever since you have...You have gone out of your way to protect me where you can.” She said, “Maybe it was just so I could get between your legs. How do you know?” He spat bluntly. “Because that’s what I want” She shot back “and yet you are still denying me.” She laughed, causing his face to heat up slightly in surprise. “I am not asking for your feelings, I am not asking for you to whisk me away, though I would go in a heartbeat, I am merely giving you permission.” She said her eyes staring into his , as if to offer him some sort of comfort. “I..I don’t usually get a choice.” She said, wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning to press her chest to his “ but I want this.” His hands rested on her hips, his eyes flicking between her lips and those bright clear kind eyes. “May I kiss you? Boba Fett?” He grit his teeth and bit back a groan bubbling at the back of his throat, and instead disguised it as an annoyed huff. Just when he had thought he had figured her out, she surprised him like this. “I dont have what you think I have to offer you “ He says “So I don't want to hear you crying about it later alright?” She smiled and nodded in understanding and only then did he finally give in. The kiss was short, but nonetheless left him strangely breathless “Nothing to offer me, but your pretty face” He heard her chuckling against his lips. He smirked, his hands running down her body to squeeze the meat of her thigh in retaliation. She gave a small gasp, and he took the moment to slip his tongue past her lips. He caressed her tongue forcefully, knocking his teeth against hers just to get a better taste of her and only withdrawing when the need for air became to great. He gave her lower lip a punishing bite as he withdrew and carefully guided her to lay down on the thin mattress of his bunk. “You know there's nothing I hate more than arrogance” He said, kissing down her throat. She bit her lip “As you have said before, its not arrogance if you can back it up with results.” She said, her shy smile, turning into a playful smirk.

1. Would they be recruitable?

Yes! You can totally have Alijah as one of your cohorts for better or worse. She's a Force Adept companion for almost every class.

2. Would they be a class specific character?

She would be available for any class but Sith Warrior and Inquisitor. With the Imperial Agent and Bounty Hunter she has a very Anti-Sith stance but . If the Bounty Hunter kills Darth Tormen? She's ready to fucking party. A Sith tries to slap her Light Side Imperial Agent around? Teeth bared and on the attack. Screwing with the Sith and the filth they spread through the Galaxy makes her happy. Jedi Classes get some snarky because she used to be one of them before she bounced.

3. When would you recruit them? Vanilla story? an Expac? Post KOTET?

Vanilla Story. You get the Flighty Former Jedi Sentinel pretending to be Less Dangerous very early on.

4.  Where would you recruit them from?

Nar Shadda, Tatooine, or Alderaan. Somewhere that available to all classes.

5. What would their recruitment mission be?

A different mission has you crossing paths with her in an upscale bar or club. She's undercover (not that she admits it) as a dancer and is trying to track down someone who stole from her boss and stiffed her her pay. Originally, she’s playing eyecandy and spy before you team up.

6. What would be their original recruitment outfit?

The skull would be like a Twi’lek or Togruta Skull, her hair would be chopped short like the bottom right, she would have the dark makeup, there would be far less chains, and would wear her goggles as a headband.

Her changed into outfit would be like the one in my commission of her with the short hair kept and no braid. However, she can kick just as much ass in her dancer/entertainment outfit as she can her regular clothes.

7. Would there be a character they don’t like? Would that cause you to choose sides?

SITH! SITH! SITH! Oh, she's a straight up ready to slaughter her some Sith. Don't you get that Dark bullshit near her. She can feel it across the Galaxy and will hunt your ass down. She also out and out is down for murdering Skadge. Jun Seros is not in her Most Loved book either.

8. Are they romancable? Why/why not?

She is! Alijah's very lovey by nature and enjoys the simplicity of romance, no matter her partner(s) genders. If you don't romance her she'll happily date a fellow companion(s) i.e. Torian Cadera, Mako, Akaavi Spar, etc.

9. What would they say if you clicked on them?

“I can be intoxicating when I feel like it.”

“Next person that addresses me as “Alien” is getting my boot right up their ass.”

“You give me shining light and I’ll show you how the shadows really work.”

“Daesha’s letting me freelance for this?”

10. Do they know any other in game characters?

Before deciding to peace out of the Jedi Order she was a recently knighted Sentinel. A lot of Jedi know her, especially Satele Shan.

11. What weapon(s) would they have?

Vibroblades, an extendable staff made of beskar (an entire side story could be devoted to why she has it), blaster pistols (she prefers to dual wield while being in someone's face), and good old fashion fisticuffs. Once you learn she's a former Jedi Force  Powers (specially healing, stealth, tracking, mind tricks, and self buffs) and a Saberstaff (gold-yellow blades) join the possible mix.

12. Are they better as a tank, healer or DPS?

Healer or DPS. She has a background as a healer but also is a fan of "Hit first, hit hard, hit last."

13. What gifts do they Love? Like? What would they say when you gave them a gift?

Loves: Delicacies, Courting Gifts

Likes: Luxury, Cultural, Underworld

Healing: “You aren’t plasma proof, Laserbrain.”

Attacking: *silence before she appears with a flash* "They never see me coming.”

Lots of commentaries on the surroundings be it about cultural, food, or underworld related. In strange places, you sometimes get "I hear food." before a lizard or something darts across the path.

17. What letter’s would they send post vanillia class story/SOR/KOTFE

Something sweet about holding onto their memory while moving on. The only thing that truly plays for keeps is the Force so they'll reunite one day.

18. If they are recruitable in vanilla story, where are they during KOTFE/TET? What are/were they doing?

She's a former Jedi Sentinel who is damn good at her job. She's got her ass in the shadows of the front lines working as a scout, spy, and assassin. The Empire will fall even if she has to be a one woman army to get it done.

A Hero’s Reward

mistletoe edition This is sort of an AU version of Bas’riish, who has smuggled herself into @taraum’s most excellent Motivations story arc.

“Oh, Master Jed-aiiiiiiiiiiii!” the sing-song voice called out.

Jedi Master Daesha Ven – known throughout the free galaxy as the Hero of Tython – turned away from the Corellian councilwoman she’d been speaking with.

The Life-Day party on Corellia was the first R&R her crew had been offered in weeks. Given Daesha’s role in liberating the world from Imperial occupation less than a year before, she and her crew had been granted guest of honor status. She couldn’t deny her friends the break.

Kira was enjoying herself, dancing with some Corellian pilots. Teeseven was playing music for the room. Rusk was telling old war stories to a handful of Republic soldiers over drinks. Doc was – predictably – hitting on women while Scourge – perhaps even more predictably – was off brooding somewhere.

As she turned, she observed a familiar green-skinned twi’lek in a rather revealing outfit approach.

Captain Bas’riish had been indispensable during fighting on Corellia, foiling an Imperial attack on the shipyards before aiding Daesha’s Jedi forces in evacuating civilian refugees. Daesha had learned to appreciate her skills as well as her values; few smugglers could be expected to care about the well-being of others.

Tonight, Bas’riish was surprisingly dressed in a bright red shimmersilk gown, one with a plunging v-neck and a fit that showed off the Twi’leks curves and plenty of skin besides. Daesha had never seen the smuggler wear something so formal; she could barely make out the blasters strapped to the inner thighs of the skirt.

And she was approaching Daesha like a nexu appraising a womp rat.

“Good evening, Captain.” Daesha smiled. “Its so good to see you again…”

“Same here!” Bas’riish’s grin widened. “Call me ‘Bas’. And look - I brought you something!”

Daesha could not imagine from whereBas’riish had pulled out the sprig of mistletoe. But the next thing she knew, the Twi’lek had stepped into her personal space, and was holding the small plant above the Jedi’s head with her left hand.

“I think a Hero like you deserves a reward, don’t you?” she smirked.

Daesha felt a flush come to her cheeks.

“Oh, that’s really not necessary, Captain.” She started. “I don’t really…”

That was as much as Daesha could get out before the Twi’lek smuggler reached out with her right hand, grabbing the Jedi behind the neck and pulling her in, pressing her lips against Daesha’s.

The Jedi Master froze up in shock as she felt a surge pulse through her. Bas’riish’s tongue had slipped into her mouth and was even now skillfully caressing Daesha’s own.

It was over before she could react, the smuggler looking up at her in satisfaction as Daesha’s cheeks burned in embarrassment.

The Jedi was out of breath, and at a complete loss for words.

The smuggler patted her cheek.

“See? I knew you’d like that.” Her eyes widened suddenly, something behind Daesha alarming her.

“Oops! Time to make my escape. Comm me sometime, okay?”

Bas’riish winked at her, then darted off, moving far more quickly in the tight gown than Daesha would have thought possible.

The low voice came from over her shoulder, snapping her out of her shock.

“Who was that?” Scourge’s words were mundane, but his tone could have torn through a battle cruiser.

Daesha swallowed, recovering. She could feel Scourge’s rage, but at the same time, he had a steadying influence over her. She had given him her heart, and in turn, his strength empowered her.

“No one.” She lied.

Short Bio: A Jedi knight. She and her younger brother, Sicarth, were raised by the order, though they maintained a relationship of sorts. She doesn’t tend to stick with all the teachings of the order, enjoying friendships and relationships. Her brother is her closest friend and confidant.

Short Bio: Like his sister, he was raised by the Jedi and maintained a form of relationship with Virith. He adheres to the rules more closely than she does, especially after an incident where his boyfriend at the time nearly died to protect him. He felt it was some sort of payment for ignoring the rules.

Short Bio: The younger sibling of Daesha. They also followed her into a life of criminal activity, running jobs as a gang enforcer on Nar Shaddaa and practicing the ways of the force in secret. They maintain that everything that was done was for their survival, even after they leave his old life behind. They tend to lurk around the core worlds anymore.

Short Bio: Jayara is an assassin who was trained by Larana Cyress prior to her disappearance. They showed great promise and continued their training under Idrinas. They have since obtained the title of Lord and plan on taking an apprentice of their own. They have a love of sweets and enjoy reading whenever possible.

Short Bio: A clone of the Republic spy, Rainee Ordan. She was created to be an imperial spy, under the thumb of Darth Malus. Another of the clones broke free of his control and Guilialia, the most promising of them, was sent to collect her. While she was searching, she managed to find her own freedom. She now works as a mercenary.

Short Bio: A notorious smuggler. Caszara claims she was born to live life on the edge, doing whatever she feels like. Most of her motives are guided by money, though she has chosen a few things based on her own loose morals. Her bad decisions tend to stop when it comes to the Hutts... Even if the pay should be too good to pass up.

Short Bio: A former republic soldier and current mercenary. L’eiva became disenchanted by the republic when a family member republic hero nearly died. They hated the idea of it and left, ending a two year long relationship when they did. They worked hard to create a reputation independent of either side in the war. Eventually, they discovered that the relative that their relative had defected to the Empire. They tend towards Republic-aligned jobs after the news comes out.

Short Bio: The older half-brother of Nundhiasa. He spent his whole life talking about how he was going to leave his home world of Tatooine to travel the stars, though the plans live his life travelling have never truly come to fruition. He has traveled, though it’s mostly to visit his younger sister and her family and it’s usually with their grandfather. He currently runs a droid repair shop.

Short Bio: Eryata defines reckless. She has been imprisoned on several occasions for her aggressively anti-imperial behavior, but has managed to break out numerous times. She is part of a small group of bounty hunters, but they all manage to have time to take their own individual jobs. She prefers jobs as either a sniper or a bodyguard. She is also quite the smooth-talker.
