Hi Space!! 1, 6 & 7 for the writer ask game :D
hey ser, ty for the ask!
1 - Who was your first ever OC? Do you still “use” them? How have they evolved over time?
I’ve mentioned her before but she doesn’t have a tag on here so i cannot find the post, but the Daemoness is my oldest OC. I still think about her, and i wrote 2/3 of her story one camp nano a while back, but I don’t really do much else with her. (apart from the time I had her beheaded as a main villain in my frostiron fic).
She’s evolved a lot. She used to be called…deep breath, we do not cringe: Luci de Monica. Originally she was a Cool Space Alien Demon Princess, with a bunch of brothers also named after various demons. Now she’s a Space Alien Demonic Empress of a massive hive-mind empire whose main driving force is finding more places to add to her empire and also harder things to fight.
Current lore is she can pull souls into her own whilst remaining seperate, an ability thought wiped out among her original kind. She later learned to swap into dead bodies, then living bodies, then to thrall living souls to her own, and now she has several million demons bound to her will :)
Visually she used to be a pretty goth lady with horns and black eyes. Now she’s an eight or nine foot tall demon lady with massive horns, big wings, hooves, a tail, and like. Full Demon Shit going on. she’s got neat shadow powers. she’s op as fuck and i do still love her.
6 - Do you have any OCs without stories? Will you ever create one for them?
The Daemoness is the main one. Her only story is just her backstory of how she came to power at this point, and what I have written is fun. I do kinda wish I’d finished it. But other than that, I don’t think there’s any story I could ever tell with her: she’s unambiguously a villain (though she doesn’t see herself as such). Any story would just be her taking over another planet.
you know what, for funsies, here's what i wrote for that camp nano thing. it's very much not finished, but i think it's fun and it captures her Vibe. (hopefully that link works. if not...lmk and i'll fix it)
7 - What are your favourite relationships between your OCs? (romantic or platonic!)
why must i choose i like both!! I think I do lean more towards favouring my romantic relationships, just because diving into romantic dynamics is so much fun to me. I like throwing drama at characters and then making them kiss about it.

1. How many works do you have on AO3?
35. I have more on other sites, but since I've made my AO3 account, that's how many I've posted there.

3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently? Dream SMP. But I also have an Inscryption WIP and a couple Kpop WIPs that I really should get back to one of these days. orz But I've written for all sorts of fandoms over the years.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
5) Its Suffering Was Real [Inscryption]
This is the one that came as the biggest shock to me when I went and looked at my kudos count in preparation for this write-up. Like, really? People like the fic where I torture the sassy robot trapped in the body of a stoat for 7k words that much??
4) A Shoulder to Lean On [Avatar: The Last Airbender]
WHERE did all these people come from, I have like 6 comments on this thing (not counting my replies)??? I mean, I'm flattered, but ??!!?!
3) Accepting Amelioration [Voltron: Legendary Defender]
I mean, it's a Voltron fic posted back when the fandom was in full swing, it doesn't really surprise me the kudos counter is considerable, though I am still surprised it got that much traction considering the fic is gen and not shippy. Am still proud I made the first daemon AU in the entire fandom, though, if this is my claim to fame, then I'm ok with that. :p
2) Temporary Shelter [Astro / VIXX]
I seriously have no freaking clue how this little self indulgent Kpop crossover fic became so popular, I really don't. I mean, Kpop crossovers are niche at the best of times, and these two groups aren't exactly the most popular Kpop fandoms on AO3 if you know what I mean. It basically started as "wouldn't it be fun if my two favorite Kpop groups were secretly friends all this time? How would I have that happen, tho?" and then snowballed from there. I, uh. I'm glad so many other people like it, ig? 0_0

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Absolutely. It's only fair I reply if someone takes the time to read on my work and actually give me feedback about it, wouldn't you say? Plus, like most authors, I enjoy talking about my own work, so sue me. >:p

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I don't usually do angsty endings; I prefer happy or at least bittersweet ones. I guess by default, it has to be the fic where I slowly killed off America and China from Axis Powers Hetalia for 13k words, while the rest of the cast had already been dead for centuries at that point. So yes, the entire cast of that series was dead by the end of that fic. :))) IN MY DEFENSE, ok, I was actually trying to give them a bittersweet ending by reuniting them with all of their old friends and family by finally letting them rest after so long alone, but it still turned out really sad. TT TT It's basically my only fic where I can't go back and reread it more than once every couple of years, because I still end up a sobbing mess by the end.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Well, I guess that's what you define "happiest" as. The most cathartic? The one with the least amount of trauma and extreme bodily injury incurred by the characters? 🤔 I guess by the latter definition, it would Kaleidoscopic Perceptions, a very fluffy USPH college AU that I actually enjoyed writing a lot despite me not usually enjoying romance or college AUs.

8. Do you get hate on your fic?
No, thankfully. I've gotten a couple kinda weird comments, and of course the obligatory "It's been X months since you updated were you aware?????" comments, but no outright negativity.

9. Do you write smut?
LMAO. Absolutely not.

10. Do you write crossovers?
Yes! I really love crossovers. I have a few common fallbacks that fit with a lot of fandoms (daemon AUs, Firefly AUs, etc.), but I also enjoy fandom-specific crossovers when I can figure out how to pull them off.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
No idea. I hope not!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Just once for this Gravity Falls fic.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
Yes. It had a few ups and downs, but it was overall a really positive experience, and I think it turned out really well!

14. What‘s your all-time favorite ship?
idk that I have an ALL TIME favorite ship, especially since I hardly ever ship anything, but Frobin is pretty choice, I gotta say.

15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Er, none of them, hopefully? I hope that I eventually get to finish all my WIPs at some point, even if it might take me awhile. >.>; But I suppose if I had to pick ONE to abandon, I'd probably pick Written In, my D&D Inscryption crossover AU. I like the IDEA for it, but writing it out is like pulling teeth, and after the first installment where the party gets together, I don't really have a lot of ideas on where to take the plot. :/ Like I have the general overarching idea but no plot structure or anything but small disconnected story beats.

16. What’s your writing strengths?
I like to think I do a pretty good job with descriptions while not bogging the story down too much with too much detail?

17. What’s your writing weaknesses?
Uuuuuuuuuuhhhhhh, staying motivated ig. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ if you're asking my weakness about mechanics, though, uh... exposition, I guess? Dialogue in general, sometimes.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
If there is actual information included in the other language, then you better provide a translation. If it's just for flavor, though, have at it.

TMNT, specifically the 2003 show. It's never been posted anywhere on the internet and never will. :)

20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?
Becoming Real, a Kpop fanfic based on VIXX's Voodoo Doll MV. However, it can easily stand on its own as its own original work. I consider it the most accessible story I've ever written, and it also was just very easy for me to write. Writing is often like pulling teeth for me, but not this story.

He would constantly follow you around after meeting you.
Ava tells him to stop following you and trys keeping him in? Screw it he'll teleport to you.
He originally tried killing you but last minute decided not to because it just didn't feel right.
So naturally after that he kinda just followed you around and tried to be sneaky.
Key word TRIED.
After awhile he got bored of stalking you and maybe kidnapped you-
Or if you were friends before hand he would just convince you to let him tag along with you. Or find some reason to go along.
Asch would probably be annoyed by his antics and wouldn't understand while he is acting like this.
Of course Peirce and Rhys would notice sooner.
And Ava of course but she doesn't understand daemos culture and would mistake that for normal antics from Leif.
In the end Leif would become overprotective, clingy, and paranoid.
His paranoia would stem from when he was left behind in Daemos. So naturally he wouldn't want it to happen again.
He woud make it were you couldn't leave him.
He would become extremely paranoid anytime you went out and or tried communicating with anyone other then Ava and the other Daemos. And even THAT to him was pushing it.
And at this point if you aren't able to calm him down and get him to stop going insane Asch would step in and say he needs to leave you alone.
After all he has to protect the Daemos Prince.
And in the long run that won't keep him from you.
Only anger him~

H/OTD Spoilers. You’ve been warned.
Now for my two cents...
As someone who writes Daemo/n on occasion, I will never defend his bad behavior. Most of the time, it’s horrid at best but he reminds me of another character I absolutely adore --- flaws and all. I’m talking about NIKLAUS Mikaelson. If you’ve seen TVD / The Originals then I KNOW you can see the correlation. Both of these men are impulsive, emotional and dangerous, but care a great deal about loyalty / family. With all that said though, I do think a lot of people kind of misinterpreted to the choking scene? And partly because they wanted Da/emon to be something he’s not.
For me, it didn’t come off as maliciousness towards his wife. It was absolutely wrong of him to do it and again, I don’t condone it. However, they had JUST lost a child. On top of that, Rhae/nys dropped by to deliver a bombshell about the usurper AND his brother’s death. Then he has a spat with his wife who speaks of a prophecy his brother never told him about. I think he lost his temper because of all that and took it out on Rha/enyra. It was absolutely wrong, but for me and how I play Da/emon, it was a terrible reaction that he regrets but won’t apologize for either because in his mind, Rhae/nyra knew what he was when she married him.
And on the flip side, my Rhae/nyra absolutely understands how he is and while pissed at him, she’s more upset about the children she lost than Dae/mon’s lack of compassion in general. Regardless of his antics, she still needs him so thats that.
Not going to say too much about the dragons. There’s a lot of good stuff in the tags about them, much of which I can agree with, but yeah. This post was to mostly say that people fell in love with Dae/mon because he’s cool and cocky and forgot the dragon is always waiting beneath the cocky smirks. Da/emon is and has always been dangerous. Goes from 0 to 100 quick. Fluffy sex didn’t change his nature.

Heartbroken on Valentine’s Day (open rp)
Hikari was happily enjoying Valentine’s Day at her school as she and her classmates were making card baskets. She put a lot of thought into her cards and a lot of color in her basket. She loved Valentine’s Day. It was a day that celebrated love after all.
However, she was not well liked in her class, so when it was time to give out cards, she looked disappointed when her card basket was empty. She frowned until a boy came up to her, seemingly sweet smile on his face.
“Hi, Hikari. Oh, you didn’t get any cards? Don’t worry. I got one for you.” He handed her a card that said I Like You on it. Hikari gasped as her eyes sparkled, until she opened the card. It read “NOT!!” In big red letters. All of the kids began to laugh at her as the color drained from her cheeks.
“Did you honestly think anyone would like you? You’re even dumber than you look!”
Hikari was heartbroken and immediately ran out of the classroom, crying.

Hikari, Tora, and Rini at Disneyworld (closed rp for @disneycarouselshalie)
Hikari and her besties, Tora and Rini were all super excited for a trip to Disney World. They had everything planned out for the trip, now Hikari just needed to ask her mommy.
She thought since Rini’s mommy invited them to Sesame Place, she’d return the favor and invite them to Disney World with her and her mommy.
“Mommy, mommy! Can we invite Tora and Rini to come to Disney Wowwd with us? Pweeeeeease?” She used the big puppy dog eyes as her go-to tactic.
The other mothers thought it was a great idea and experience for the girls. Not only their first time to Disney World, but also their first time traveling and going on a plane.
All three girls pleaded and gave Shalie the puppy dog eyes. They were heart-set on this trip.

Field Trip to Disney Land (open rp)
Hikari was super excited. Her kindergarten was taking a week-long field trip to Disney Land! It was decided unanimously at the PTA meeting and everyone was ecstatic. The only conditions: everyone needed an adult chaperone, they only had a $500 spending limit for food and souvenirs, only one park per day, and they all had to purchase fast passes so they wouldn’t get separated on the rides.
Hikari was pumped and ready to go. She had everything packed up and headed to the bus for their field trip. This field trip was going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity! Nothing was going to ruin it!

1 - What is your absolute all-time favourite ideas you’ve ever had?
Hm…I love all my current wips, but I think my favourite fun idea was the one I had for nano a few years back, called Gywnn Doomshard vs the Forces of Light, which was a comic fantasy from the POV of the literal forces of darkness, where instead of the Heir of Darkness being chosen from the long-time family of darkness for the most recent go-round of ‘fight the forces of Light’, his bodyguard got chosen instead.
It was a super fun book, playing with loads of tropes; the dragons unionised, magic only worked on you if you consented, there were imps everywhere, the Castle of Darkness was partially sentient…it’s an idea I really want to go back to one day. It’s very inspired by things like Dungeon Keeper/War for the Overworld, Grunts!, The Princess Bride, Labyrinth, Shrek and that kind of trope-y, fun genre. All the characters were so much fun to write.
2 - Is there a question you’ve been asked in the past that really stands out to you, and you still think about sometimes?
Nothing comes to mind particularly.
3 - What is your favourite part of being a writer? What parts could you take or leave?
When I get to the point in a story where I’m making it do what I want. When all the ideas come together, I get that little spark of ‘yes!’ and I can make the words sing. (also I love creating characters).
Obscure grammar rules can go away. I can’t remember them. I have to google things all the time. English is a stupid language and no-one should ever speak it but unfortunately it’s the only one I know.
4 - What is your greatest motivation to write/create?
To have the story I want to read. And lately, to make the people that read my writing go ‘AAAHHHH SPACE WHY’. That latter is the reason I’m planning to post Renegade Prince online somewhere with comments. I love those interactions. I save all the good comments I get and look at them when I’m feeling down.
5 - What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever read or been given as a writer?
That one tumblr post/several variations on it that if you’re stuck in a story, go back about ten lines and try again. If you write yourself into a corner, reverse out of the corner. It has saved me so many times: whenever I get stuck, I think of it, and apply it, and it fucking. works. every time.
6 - What do you wish you knew when you were first starting out writing?
That editing is where the magic happens. That first drafts are just to get an idea down, and that your writing will shine afterwards.
7 - What is your favourite story you’ve written to completion? Link it if you’d like and can!
Honestly recency bias is showing, but some of my fics lately I just really love. The series they’re part of aren’t done, but the stories themselves are. so for right now, I’m going to say body mine from obsession. It’s nothing like what I usually write, but it was so much fun to weave that strange little story and try something different.
8 - What is your favorite out-of-the-box quote?
WRITE IT BADLY. Write it badly, write it badly, write it badly, write it badly. Stop what you’re doing, open a Word document, put a pencil on some paper, just get the idea out of your head. Let it be good later. Write it down now. Otherwie it will die in there. - Brandon Sanderson
9 - Which of your characters would you say has the most controversial mindset? Why do you say so, and how do you personally feel about their ideals?
hm, I don’t know about controversial as such…certainly Vizaeth has the most unusual mindset: he’s so wrong about so many aspects of his life, but is fully convinced he’s right about them, and that the pain those things cause is correct (to be inflicted upon him, or upon others). Personally I don’t think even therapy would fix him, but it would help.
Otherwise, perhaps The Daemoness, who is an OC I rarely write about publically, but is the ruler of a hive-mind empire she built herself. Her powers enabled her to chain souls to herself, so every demon on her planet, and every creature on every planet she dominates become a part of her. She believes she’s doing what’s necessary: her actions ended the wars on her planet, and by taking over other planets, she leaves ‘peace and unity’ in her wake. However, she is by her nature a very bloodthirsty creature and craves the challenge of battle, so she’ll never be satisfied.
I just really like characters whose actions are reprehensible but whose internal logic chains make perfect sense to them, such that they couldn’t be another way. I disagree with Demoness that ‘dominating and soul chaining every living thing in the universe’ is the way to achieve personal satisfaction and universal peace, but damn she’s fun to write when I do write her.
10 - If you, when you first started writing, met you now, what would younger you think?
younger me would be so extremely hyped. look at all these words we wrote! we finished things? actually finished them?? and people like them?
they’d be a little confused at how gay and trans everything is but don’t worry, they’ll figure it out.

Messy Jia sketches bc I’ve been mentally focused on him tonight. Lore under the cut.
Jia is a 45 year old salaryman who worked very hard to support his younger siblings. All seven of them share the same mother, but Jia has a different father; he is Sol, the Sun, a star who often appears in the guise of a lion with a halo of radiant light. Sol saved Jia from the collapse that destroyed the Earth, but the rest of his family was left behind.
The halo’s in Jia’s eyes are remnants of his first meeting with Sol. Looking at Sol’s true form directly can cause damage to the eyes; often this manifests as a corona-like halo of scar tissue in the iris. The scar glows with stored sunlight, glowing bright after coming inside from a long day, and dimming after long periods of time spent in darkness. The light can grow bright enough that the glow is even visible to observers standing a considerable distance away.
Jia is extremely vitriolic towards Sol for his preferential treatment of Jia over his many younger siblings, and is struggling to reconcile his humanity with his divine parentage. He’s having a hard time of it, but the other surviving humans are supportive of him. He’s also found a friend in his half-brother Daemos, who is twenty years his junior. They’re both very reserved people but they grow to enjoy each other’s company very much.
He’s a very kind person and has spent his entire life worrying over people. He’s a good man.
