whoa, she launched!
happy launch day, kayo! she's my little pookie i love her so much that i bully her constantly through the narrative
Tumblr media
in honor of today, i'll be dumping some REALLY old doodles (really old = two-three months ago) when i started working on her! unlike most of my dumps, i'll be describing and giving more context to the drawings! think of it as a little timeline of her development :D
*the oc blog is @lilies-and-forget-me-nots .. i forgor
drawing 1: our earliest kayo?!
Tumblr media
this was dated january 17 2023. yeah. 2023. this year.
geez, was that really my art style just three months ago?
yes, unfortunately. though i'll attribute the fact that kayo looks 12 here mostly to the fact that i was still getting used to using an ipad to draw--still, you can really see that i had her design 90% down from the start. just changed her parting a little and removed the flower accessory + little ombre(?) in her hair.
at first, she was going to be a LOT closer to yui, but then if she was, she would've intervened as early as more blood, which was not something i was aiming for. plus, isn't it more fun thinking that she barely knows her (and yet pulls the stunt of taking her place for her sake... what a loser)
also, at first, she was going to just be straight up meaner for no reason. like literally just the worst person you can think of, but a problem with that is that she would definitely get killed if she was just horrible and toxic. plus, that was kind of boring on my end as well, so she kind of turned into a meowmeow.
adding to the old concept though, all her endings were supposed to be bad endings! then i scrapped that really quickly when i changed her personality...
drawing 2: our earliest hunter!
Tumblr media
same day as the first drawing... yeouch.
as you can see, her hair was supposed to be a lot neater--and flatter--as a hunter. the cross clip is a lot smaller, and her palette was all over the place. like come on, why is her coat pink??
speaking of which, i changed hunter kayo to being a little messier than her old version because of a change in personality. this proto-hunter kayo still feels emotions very well. in fact, even more intensely than bride kayo. she's constantly angry--for what she went through as a young girl, for losing her eye--just a lot of things.
kind of funny that her personality pulled a 180 lawl
drawing 3: early outfit dump
Tumblr media
i made the file for this drawing on january 19, but i believe i updated it as late as early march.
as you can see, it's really just outfit concepts. most of them are the same as the current outfit concept art--thanks to, well, me updating this file until march. you might be familiar with the three on the right, and the lost eden + dark fate outfit is practically the same as the one i posted. the hdb/mb outfit changed the most out of those three: i suctioned it to kayo's body to emphasize her figure more lol (i am the biggest kayo simp in the end)
as for the first two, you can see they were labelled for chaos lineage and lunatic parade! the chaos lineage outfit is probably already like 90% down for me, but the lunatic parade one is peculiar because, well, i scrapped it entirely. it's a cute outfit, for sure, but i didn't think it was kayo's style in the end. perhaps it might get the same hdb/mb outfit treatment and get tweaked to match her better, but i think her current lunatic parade design is solid!
drawing 4: early cg concepts
Tumblr media
this was dated feb 25!
honestly, this is still really good, and i'm still planning on adding this scenario to laito's route. it's just that, once again, kayo is suffering from the bug-eyed twelve year old syndrome i was going through since january. plus i was (still am) bad at drawing men, so laito kind of came out looking like a really strange looking lady lol. it's so embarrassing i even had to crop it out.
drawing(s) 5: whoa sailor outfits?!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i actually drew this just two weeks after the last one--march 10th! you can clearly see my art style shifting at this point; i'm starting to think it's the switch from sketching with a soft brush to a hard brush.
this was, if you didn't already guess, in honor of the aquamarine series! of course, there are two: one for the hunter and one for the bride!
i have this running theme of "what would reiji (biggest discreet pervert) make bride kayo wear?" and that man loves his kayo legs, so naturally she had to wear thigh highs and an awkwardly short skirt. at least hunter kayo got away with just a crop top.
you can see something hanging on the hunter's waist--it's actually a demon hunting relic!
drawing 6: hunter kayo in ryotei au cgs?!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
very recent drawing--dated march 29!
now, hunter kayo actually doesn't attend ryotei at any point of the series. it just so happens that i thought she'd look really hot in the uniform, and ta-da--i made an au! being an au, it's not canon, but i like to think she has a small route with shuu that doesn't really end well as you'd expect.
still, the sight of her kissing him as he bites on her knife is very very cool. keep up the good work hunter!
drawing 7: late highschool kayo!
Tumblr media
the final doodle--dated less than a week ago!
this is really just kayo in high school after seiji's treatment of her started getting to her properly. i wonder what she's praying and why...
BONUS 1: CATGIRL KAYO!!
Tumblr media
i was in the middle of making this post when a certain catboy-baiter (@poohwhin side eyes...) posted................
i love humans with animal features (i.e. not humanoid animals aka what you'd typically think of when you think of furries...) and genshin already devastated me with not only keqing but DEHYA being fake catgirls, so to recover emotionally i naturally made kayo a catgirl. ougggg she's so cute
BONUS 2: a kayoyui route?!
Tumblr media
Yes. and it's finished. i just have to make the cgs and post it.
i mostly made it as a kind of exercise in making routes, since, well, i have to start making a lot. it only has five individual scenarios in the dark, manic, and ecstasy section, but it still has a prologue and epilogue. there are also only two endings!
it also serves to delve a bit more into the hunter's character, since bride kayo is the main focus of the blog. let's give her a little love, yknow!! even if she can't give any back...

2, 18, and/or 24 for the ask game? :D
2. show us a picture of your handwriting?
Here are some fic planning notes from almost a full year ago (woof):
Tumblr media
Left is me working out the fic timeline and is also maybe the neatest it ever looks, because I was trying to be legible and pencil is always neater for me than pen.
Yellow page is me trying to work out the timeline of events in 2.01 in pen.
Right is a rough draft snippet.
It can look so much worse than this though. The chicken scratch in my morning pages journal is basically illegible.
18. do you believe in ghosts and/or aliens?
It seems a bit presumptuous to me to not believe in alien life of some sort? But also, there's that one theory that we're currently existing too early in the timeline of the universe and actually are the first life and alone out here. That's a sad thought, so I prefer to lean yes on aliens.
Ghosts? Not really, no. But ghost movies and stuff scare the crap out of me. Also, I love that tumblr post that posits that ghosts are instead places where the veil between periods in time is flimsy and you're actually just seeing through to the past. I love this theory mostly because it means there are so many Victorian children and civil war soldiers in the past who caught a glimpse of like... a guy in a crop top and tiny shorts with feathered hair from 1980 or something.
But, on balance, I'd say the evidence seems to weigh heavily in favor of no ghosts.
24. what’s one thing you’re proud of yourself for?
Oof. Going for the jugular. Okay, um... I guess I'm proud of how much I've taught myself about architecture and building science in last several years? I'd say at this point, I know more about designing building high performance, energy efficient houses than most people. Which feels very braggy to say. Blegh.

Tumblr media
Took me a while but I finally figured out how to do the "Click Here to Read More" thing! Now, there will be less barging of spaces on here B)
TL;DR: I talk a bit about Venus's (this character's) character, some fun facts about the piece and my thoughts about it now.
↓↓ Click here if you'd like to know more! ↓↓
Sorry for not posting yesterday, I was busy doing some tests and just kinda forgot that I've ran out of queued posts. As an addition, sorry for being a bit spammy with all the text on my posts and whatnot. I thought that Tumblr's the one who usually did the "Read More" stuff and I was quite confused when it didn't do it for me (thought that it was because I didn't reach the length required). Anywho, I've curb that issue so it should look neater now on my page!
No "Old Notes" for this piece sadly! It was drawn in class so most of the notes were spoken (and I don't remember what I said), I think the approximate time when I finished this was around, maybe, July of 2022? Maybe even earlier than that.
Anyways, since I'm already here, I might as well critique and kinda describe what I was doing at the time.
The character here is Venus Scarlette (an original character of mine). She's a magicless character born in a magical world, who's only having a pretty lavish and well-off life because of this non-magical thing we all know as:
Nepotism
Renowned but absolutely not reserved, she's someone who's known for her "hot-headedness". Everyone assumes she's just lashing out because she's rich and has nothing better to do, when in reality, she just wanted to help. She always fails though since she 1) has no real agency over anything, even including shows she's invited to star in; 2) the rumours are partially correct that she has a "short temper" and that she "doesn't quite think before acting."
Back to the topic at hand, I'd like to divulge a little more regarding Venus's backstory and the other character present in this picture (I can't say who though but you might see him once I find some of my other artworks) though, I think it might thread on "spoilers" territory. I'd like to make their story an actual series in the future so I'm going to withhold some information, but I'll talk more and more about them in future posts though so this isn't everything!
Fun fact #1: I sometimes draw a little "demo" drawing right by the side of the actual drawing. Usually I crop it out, but since the demo for this piece was a bit too close to remove it completely without staining, I just left it in as is:
Tumblr media
A bit blurry but you can kinda see it.
Fun fact #2: The "tattoos" on her skin (they're also kinda blurry since dumbass used a regular mechanical pencil to line it) are actually scars from a "magic allergy reaction". It's a temporary name for now but the gist of it is that she was afflicted by magic that was not her own, causing them to form all over her skin. I might decide to change the placement of them in the future though.
On the other note, I actually dislike how skinny she is here. She's supposed to be a bit more meatier than this, with a y'know, normal human weight? But I suppose reading too much Shoujo manhwa makes you develop impossible beauty standards too.
Anyways, the "Read More" section has caused me to be quite chatty today, huh? I'll try to avoid typing as much next time since it's actually causing my Chrome to chug LOL, see you soon! B)

I see an image and want to describe it: a step by step guide
I've seen a lot of guides explaining why image descriptions are important, or vague things like "describe the text!!", or extremely detailed guides that might be confusing for someone just starting out. I wanted to make a specific, step by step guide that I feel comfortable sending to someone regardless of their experience.
Note: This post might seem long. That's because I explain some Tumblr features for people who might not know them. If you don't need me to explain how notes and reblogging work, you can skip steps 1 and 2.
The format I describe in steps 4 and 5 is the simplest version of how I normally write IDs. I'm calling it Aure's 2-sentence IDs.
This guide is written with the assumption that the reader already knows what image descriptions are and why they're important - if you don't, here's an explanation. I wrote instructions specific for Tumblr, but the format works for other sites as well.
Everything from this point on is written in first person. So "I" refers to anyone doing an ID, and "Aure" is me, the writer of this post.
TL;DR: When I see an image, I
1. Check the reblogs to see if someone else has IDed it
2. If someone hasn't, I hit reblog and start typing
3. I start with "[Image description:"
4. Then a sentence that's "(Image type) of (subject)."
5. A sentence with one verb or adjective about the image (info about when it needs to be longer than 2 sentences under the read more)
6. I end with "End ID]"
So
[Image description: (image type) of (subject). (Subject) is (adjective and/or verb). End ID]
The detailed guide:
1. I am scrolling through my dashboard and see an image without an ID (if I'm just here for the ID tutorial, skip this)
Before I go "time to write one myself," I stop and remember that I might not have to!! If someone else has done one, there's an easy way to find it and reblog that version.
Say I come across this meme on my dash. (note: the version linked does not have the ID attached.
Tumblr media
[Image description: Cropped screenshot of an image on Tumblr, with a caption and tags. Underneath on the left is a link that reads, "152 notes" and on the right are different buttons. End ID]
I click on the bottom-left link that reads, "X notes"
That takes me to a little box that shows me information about other users' interactions with that post.
Tumblr media
[Image description: A notes box. It shows the total number of notes, the number of individual likes and reblogs, as well as every reblog with comment on the post. End ID]
Whenever someone reblogs a Tumblr post and "adds" something as a comment, it'll show up here. This is slightly different from replies, where reblogging isn't necessary. The image above has no replies, only reblogs with comment.
In the notes, I see a reblog that starts with "[Image description:"
so I click on the URL of the person who wrote it.
Tumblr media
[Image description: a cursor on the url of the blog that wrote the ID. End ID]
I then reblog that version.
If I don't see an ID in the notes, I move to step 2.
2. I need to describe the image and attach my description to the post
I click the reblog button.
Tumblr media
[Image description: the Tumblr reblog button, a rectangle made of two bent arrows. End ID]
I'm taken to this field:
Tumblr media
[Image description: The Tumblr addition box. End ID]
The field that says "go ahead, put anything" is where I type my ID.
3. I start it with a bracket, identifier, and colon
My description should start with "[Image description:" or "[ID:"
This helps differentiate my image description from a usual caption. A screenreader won't pick up the bracket, but it will read "image description" so make sure that's there. The bracket and colon aren't entirely necessary, but it looks neater and helps sighted users.
4. First sentence: (image type) of (image subject)
Categorize the image. If I'm stuck, it's probably one of these:
Meme
Reaction meme
Fill-in-the-blank meme (describe this with the meme name. For example, "'is this a pigeon' meme"
Screenshot + text post meme (these are the ones where you have a screenshot from a show, and a Tumblr or Twitter post edited over it)
Art
Digital art
Comic
Paper and pencil art
Painting
etc
Graphic
Infographic
Photo
Black and white photo
Gif
Screenshot
and if I can't tell, "picture of" works fine.
"Subject of the image" just means what's the main thing in the image. It's what I would mention in passing to a friend, like "oh I saw this drawing of a cat yesterday." The type of image is a drawing, and the subject is a cat, so this would be "[Image description: Drawing of a cat"
5. Second sentence: Something about the image.
Either something the subject is doing, an adjective about the subject, or an adjective about the image in general.
For example, here are 3 ways this image could be described:
Verb: what the subject is doing
[Image description: Digital art of Roy Mustang. He's showing off his top surgery scars.
Adjective about the subject
[Image description: Digital art of Roy Mustang. He has top surgery scars.
Adjective about the image in general
[Image description: Digital art of Roy Mustang. The background is the trans flag.
Aure's ID above didn't follow this format exactly, and had two of these three pieces of information. I definitely don't have to follow this format exactly if I want to include more info, but if I'm in a rush and/or am just starting out then this is how I identify the essentials.
What if it needs to be longer than two sentences?
Sometimes my ID can't be pared down to two sentences. Some gifsets need more, as do most screenshot + text post memes, comics, and other images that need text transcribed.
When describing a series of images, such as a gifset or a screenshot + text post meme, I number the images. Here's an example with a gifset, and here's an example with a screenshot + text post meme.
When my main thing is transcribing the text, I format it however seems simplest. @princess-of-purple-prose described this lovely poem snippet dump using indent to differentiate every snippet. Aure is a fan of "[Text: XXX End Text]" as shown here.
Here's how to do graphics and comics.
6. I end it with an ending tag and a closing bracket
The most most common one Aure has seen is "End ID]"
I've also seen "End description]" or "End image description]"
Aure uses "End ID" because it's shorter. I just need to make sure it has the word end and closes the bracket. This specifies when the image description ends and when the next content begins for someone using a screenreader.
After that, I add my tags, hit "reblog," and I'm done!
In conclusion
Aure's 2-sentence ID format:
[Image description: (image type) of (subject). (Subject) is (adjective and/or verb). End ID]
If there's an image I'm not sure about, anyone can feel free to send Aure an ask. She can either ID it for you and answer your ask explaining what she did, or just give a suggestion, depending on what you prefer.
If I've been doing IDs for a bit and want to look at a more detailed guide, @thequeerwithoutfear has an excellent one here. They talk about context and purpose of images, which Aure didn't really do in this guide.
Perkins also has a guide that talks about alt text here.
Lastly, please boost this! This post is chock full of links, meaning it'll never show up in search. But it'd be awesome for people to see this if it helps them get started. So a reblog is appreciated!

#ShowYourProcess (part 2!)
From planning to posting, share your process for making creative content!
To continue supporting content makers, this tag game is meant to show the entire process of making creative content: this can be for any creation.
RULES — When your work is tagged, show the process of its creation from planning to posting, then tag 5 people with a specific link to one of their creative works you’d like to see the process of. Use the tag #showyourprocess so we can find yours!
thank you to @recapitulation for tagging me! you can find her process post here for her lovely yunmeng siblings gif <3 (i love love love the peachy tone you went with!!)
and thank you also to @ashenlights for the tag– here's her process post for her lwj piece (so serene! so pretty! i love it)
i got tagged for this wangxian piece i did recently. process under the cut!
1. Planning
-i made this for @/jingyismom so she could use it as a header. consequently, this piece took more brainstorming than others; usually i have a vague idea and i'm like, 'oh i should draw this!' but this time, all i knew going into it was that it'd have to be long and narrow to work nicely as a header.
-idk why but i just. can't brainstorm/come up with ideas digitally. i do all my thinking and exploring in my sketchbook first and only start the digital step once i know exactly what i want to draw!
-the point of this step is just to get my thoughts out on paper, so it's,, not very aesthetic lmao (sincere apologies to hanguang jun's face.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ figuring out composition, light sources, clothing, etc
2. Creating
2.1 - choosing colours
-i don't have any screenshots of the sketch layer but i do have the rough colour picking stage!
-i pick colours before lineart. that way i get a better sense of what colours to use for the lineart (bc i don't use just 1 colour for lines). picking colours at this stage also just gives me a better idea of the whole vibe and whether it's going in the direction i want.
Tumblr media
2.2 - lineart
-i wish i had a cleaner version of the lineart to show you but i coloured on the wrong layer for parts of this so. this is the best i can offer ahaha:
Tumblr media
2.3 - painting
-once lineart's done, i colour it in using the colours i picked before. i have the rough colours in a layer called 'palette', colour-pick from there using the eyedropper tool, and do the neater colours in a separate layer.
-i open a new layer for EVERYTHING. highlights? new layer. shadows? new layer. little bit of extra detail that literally no one will see? new layer babey!! i merge them as i go, so i usually don't have too many layers all at once
-i also have a "notes" layer where i just write little notes to myself so i don't forget to do certain things:
Tumblr media
-this stage is my favouriteeee god it's just. so meditative to colour everything and refine all the details, shadows, the shape of the light where it hits the objects.... OOF
-this is the stage where 3 hrs feels like 30 min. i am lowkey addicted to this feeling
-i don't have any screenshots of, like, smack-in-the-middle-of-the-process so. instead i'm giving you the ~vibes~
Tumblr media
-then i do some colour adjustments, up the brightness bc everything i do is too dark at first, and...
3. Posting
Tumblr media
-...and post!! no queue we die like over-caffeinated artists!
-i had to crop it a little for posting but the above is the full version. (also i'm realizing now you can tell i used my own hand as ref for the orange ones bc they're all... left hands... oops lmao)
-i had a lot of fun doing this piece and i'm kinda sad it's done :') but now i can tackle the rest of my wips so woohoo! there's always more cql brainrot where this came from
...and that's it!! thank you again to lexi and ashen for tagging me, i had fun going over the process for this! <333
i already tagged some ppl in my other process post, so i'll just leave this open to whoever sees it– if this looks like fun, pls consider yourself tagged!! i love to see other ppl's process!

All in the Family
Chapters: 1/1 Words: 4,150 Fandom: Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Luna Lovegood/Ginny Weasley, Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter Characters: Ginny Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Draco Malfoy Additional Tags: Harry Potter Epilogue What Epilogue | EWE, Post-Canon, Established Relationship, Both Linny and Drarry, Meet the Family, The Talk, Mentions of Ginny having tattoos, because she'd look awesome in tattoos and i just had to add that in, POV Ginny Weasley, POV Draco Malfoy
Summary: There comes a time in many romantic relationships when you have to meet the family. It’s usually nerve-wracking and awkward and something to be dreaded. Take a peek into Ginny’s and Draco’s minds during this step.
Story:
Ginny took a deep breath and squinted at her image in the mirror. She looked like her usual self, but a little neater: hair in a sleek ponytail, skin tanned from hours of practice and games, far too many freckles for her liking, but not a thing she could help, brightly colored tattoos wiggling on her arms. She smoothed hands over cropped jeans that probably sported a few too many holes. Did the green shirt make her look like a Christmas tree? No, Luna called it kelly green, not Christmas green. She said it complimented her skin and freckles, which she liked far better than Ginny did. She smiled at the thought.
“You look lovely, dear,” the mirror told her. But the mirror always said that, being owned by Luna who was (1) Ginny’s girlfriend and therefore prone to overcomplimenting and (2) a ball of sunshine even in the darkest times and would never own a mirror that wasn’t similarly inclined.
“It’s not too butch? Is it butch enough? I need to give the perfect impression here: respectable but not a floor mat. Meeting the family doesn’t happen every day.”
“You look like a beautiful summer day.”
Ginny huffed. Help would not come from this corner, apparently. She was about to call in her girlfriend, but Luna must have felt Ginny’s need, as she somehow always did, because she wandered in just then, putting on her earrings as she walked. She beamed.
“You look like a beautiful summer day!”
Ginny could feel the mirror puffing up behind her. She rolled her eyes.
“But is it good for a first impression?”
Keep reading below the cut
Luna frowned and tilted her head. “But it’s not a first impression. You’ve known him for years.”
“But not …” Ginny began, waving her arms when the words wouldn’t come. “Not like this. With romantic intention or whatever.” She wiped sweaty hands on her trousers again. “I have to give off a specific impression today. I have to be firm but, ugh, friendly.”
“You’re always friendly.” Luna smiled dreamily. “I remember when we first met, when your family invited mine to dinner. Your brothers were so loud, and you were too at first. It was overwhelming. But then you stopped fighting with them and came over to me. You smiled like the sun and said, ‘I like your hat.’”
“It was a very cool hat.”
They hadn’t seen much of each other before Hogwarts, but Ginny had always liked the rare occasions she got to spend with the odd, quiet little girl who was one of her nearest wizarding neighbors. She was so much the opposite of the rowdy Weasleys—calm, thoughtful, so very smart, and most importantly, a girl her age. It was peaceful and fun being with Luna.
Realizing how good being around Luna felt was what made Ginny finally break things off with Harry the year before. Harry was always in slight opposition to whatever life threw at him. Yes, he weathered storms durably, but he was never … comfortable. Content. Even after she talked him out of joining the aurors—which had at least taken off some of the pressure to be the perfect Boy Who Lived Twice—he still seemed restless. Even with Ginny. Especially with Ginny. So she’d let go of her dream of marrying the boy she’d had a crush on for as long as she could remember and soon after had fallen into the arms of someone who made her feel more wanted and loved and perfect than she’d ever felt before. Life was better now, with Luna to help ground her. Perhaps Ginny had been at odds with life too. She and Harry were very alike in some ways.
Which brought her back to her current dilemma.
“I’m not going for happy summer day vibes, though.”
Luna’s eyebrows crinkled. “What vibes are you aiming for then?”
Ginny rubbed an arm. “Ummm. Respectable but intimidating?” At the skeptical look from her girlfriend, she continued. “I can be intimidating.”
Luna smiled softly and laid her hands on Ginny’s cheeks. “Of course you are. You wouldn’t be a starting chaser for the Holyhead Harpies if you weren’t intimidating.”
Ginny snorted. “Are you ever going to get tired of stating my full position title? I was moved up to starter, like, four months ago.”
“Never!” Luna said with a grin.
After giving her a quick peck on the lips, Ginny turned back to the mirror, and Luna put her arms around her waist from behind. “Why do you need to be intimidating for family dinner?”
“Because it’s not just family dinner. It’s meet the family dinner. I have to give the right impression.”
“Which would be intimidating?” Luna’s breath and the vibration of her voice tickled Ginny’s neck. She liked it.
“Yes.”
“Even though you’ve met before. Many times.”
“Yes.”
There was a pause. “I still don’t get it.”
Ginny sighed and turned in her girlfriend’s arms. “This is Harry.”
“Whom you’ve known since you were ten. Whom you’ve dated. Twice.”
“I don’t want to intimidate Harry.”
Understanding smoothed out Luna’s face and widened her eyes. “Oh. You’re protective of him.”
“Yes!”
“Is Draco intimidatable?”
“Is intimidatable a word?”
“It is now.”
“Then yes, he is. I remember his pointy little ferret face completely blanching when I threatened him with hexes.” Good times …
“Your bat bogey hex is pretty frightening. Also, you should be nice.”
“It’s fucking Malfoy. I’m still not sure how Harry is even dating him. And I’m ninety percent sure I don’t like that they’re dating. Ugh. Malfoy. I’m getting annoyed just thinking about it.” She buried her face in Luna’s shoulder. She smelled like lilacs and sparkles. Ginny wasn’t sure how she managed the latter, but it was true. She smelled like sparkles. It was nice.
“You promised Harry you’d stop hating him. And you promised your father before that.”
“Ugh. I know. But it’s Malfoy. He’s an arse!”
“Ginny.” Luna’s voice turned stern, as it only rarely did, so Ginny straightened up.
“Sorry. I really am trying. It’s just … Harry hated him for so long, and he used to say such mean things to us, especially to Hermione. My brain has trouble believing he’s changed enough for Harry to fall for him. Are you certain he’s not under a spell or love potion?”
“Ginny.”
“Yeah, I know.” She sighed. “He helped you when you were a prisoner at the manor. And he kept Harry from being recognized. It’s just …”
“It’s hard to flip around what you knew about him all through school.”
“Mmm,” Ginny grunted in agreement, going in for another hug. Luna hugs were the best. She always felt so protected and calmed in a Luna hug.
Luna tightened her arms in a squeeze before letting go and stepping back. “I think the dark gray button-down and the obsidian necklace I got you for your birthday, if you’re going for intimidating.”
Ginny raised her eyebrows before shucking the green tee and rifling through the wardrobe for the suggested top instead. “You’re helping me?”
“Well, I was actually going to suggest it anyway. George told me that since Bill isn’t able to come, you should give Draco the ‘you hurt him, and I break your kneecaps’ talk. Ron can’t give it, because he’ll just get yell-y, and he’s not terribly intimidating even like that. And George is afraid he might actually break Draco’s kneecaps, and he can’t go to Azkaban right now, what with the baby on the way. And Percy would just put him to sleep explaining the details.”
Laughing as she buttoned up her shirt, Ginny privately agreed. Being a professional athlete meant she’d had to learn rein in her temper, and she’d always been closest to Bill in temperament anyway. “We could ask Charlie to swoop in on a dragon. That might work.”
“George asked, but apparently he’s busy watching over this year’s births. He offered to send a howler though.” Luna’s expression said that she thought these were perfectly reasonable suggestions.
That sounded about right for her brothers too. “We’ll keep that tactic on reserve in case my intimidation doesn’t work. I dunno about being the one giving the talk, though. I thought I was just going to glare at him across the table all through dinner …” She finished rolling up her sleeves to her elbows, letting the bottom half of her tattoo sleeves show on her forearms. She eyed her image critically. “Better? Are you sure about the necklace? I need to be more butch, don’t I? To be intimidating?”
Luna shook her head, taking the ends of said necklace to clasp them behind Ginny’s neck. “Draco likes classy. He’d probably be more impressed if you wore black trousers, but then you wouldn’t be you.” She wrinkled her nose, and Ginny agreed with the sentiment. She lived in jeans and trainers, only owning black trousers to wear at semi-formal events for work. Not to mention that her brothers, Harry included, would take the mickey if she showed up in something beyond her regular clothes.
She sighed a final time and turned to her girlfriend. “Okay, let’s get this over with. Ugh. But I swear, if he is at all acting like an arsehole, I will cut a bitch.”
***
Draco wiped his sweaty palms on the sofa fabric for the eightieth time in the twenty minutes he’d been at the Weasley abode. He’d met them all before, of course. Most of them had attended school with him. And he’d seen them at his trial. Arthur had even been kind enough to shake his hand after he’d been cleared of the worst of his charges. Granted, it hadn’t been completely out of kindness. Draco’s community service sentence had been to work in Arthur’s office for two years after his release, so he’d also been officially introducing himself as Draco’s supervisor. But even with the formality of it, Arthur had seemed kind. Serious, yes, but not in any way malicious or aloof, which was more than how the Malfoys had addressed the Weasleys in the past.
And Draco had quickly become comfortable around the eccentric man. Arthur might come off as a bit kooky, but he was ever the professional at work, and Draco appreciated that, along with being so thankful that the man wouldn’t continue to punish him for his past (terrible) choices. So yes, he’d worked with Arthur for two years, and gone to school with most of the other Weasleys, but this was different. This wasn’t just dinner with friendly acquaintances (though only Arthur fell into that category), this was meeting the family as the romantic partner of their practically adopted son/brother.
He and Harry hadn’t been dating that long, and the only Weasleys he’d interacted with since the relationship had begun were Percy and Ron. Percy was fine, if a little dry, and even Ron had graduated from angry scowls to only looking like he had a slightly upset stomach. But the other Weasleys were more unknown. Luckily Bill and Charlie were busy, so tonight that only left Molly, George, and Ginny (“if you call her the Weaselette, Draco, I will hurt you,” Luna had warned during their latest tea date). At least he’d had some interactions with Molly and George back when he and Harry were still just friends and he had with Arthur for two years, but Ginny he probably hadn’t said a dozen words to since they’d left school.
So even though the brothers might be intimidating, Ginny was the unknown. Harry swore they were completely over each other, and closer now as almost siblings than they had been as paramours, but Draco wasn’t sure what to think of her. He’d tossed out jealousy pretty early. Harry only ever spoke of her in the fond way of close friends/family. But that still left a lot of unknowns. He’d been on the wrong end of her hexes on several occasions, and she was a chaser for a professional quidditch team (one of the scariest teams out there, no less), so he knew she had both bark and bite. It was likely she’d employ some intimidation tactics, but would it stop there? Was she jealous of him? He didn’t think so, hearing Luna wax poetic about her constantly during their tea dates. But there could still be some genuine hate from her. Nothing he didn’t deserve, though.
He wished Luna and Ginny would just show up already, so he could get this dinner thing over with. Harry warned that there would probably be a “hurt him and I’ll hurt you” threat taking place that evening, but he didn’t know who had drawn the short straw on that. Unless they went in for a four-pronged attack from all of the present siblings. Merlin, he hoped not.
As if he’d summoned them with his thoughts, the two women burst through the door, calling out greetings to everyone else. Ginny headed for the kitchen without a glance at Draco, but Luna brightened further and made a beeline for the sofa.
She gave him a quick hug. “I would say you clean up well except …”
“Except I always look this good?”
“I was going to say except that you could still use some work, but if you want to go with yours, that’s fine. What’s important is that you believe it.” Her smile was deceptively serene, and the glitter in her hair and the fairy necklace didn’t help present her as anything other than innocent. But Draco knew better after years of slowly cultivating their friendship.
Draco clutched his heart in mock hurt. “Harsh. When does the girlfriend start full-time training again? I think you’re spending too much time together.”
Luna’s effervescent smile dimmed a little. “In three weeks. This will be our first full season as a couple. From what I gather, I’ll barely see her between the start of training and their first season game.”
Draco felt similar trepidation. School would be starting soon, and Harry would be a full-time professor for the first time this year. He’d spent the last few years tutoring and job shadowing while waiting for the current DADA professor to retire, so they were somewhat used to being apart as friends, but never as a couple.
(It was odd knowing that Hogwarts had employed the same DADA professor for six years running; odder still to think of perpetual disaster Harry James Potter as a professor. Draco really wished he’d use the hair potion Draco had bought him a few weeks ago; he needed to look more professional, but Harry had argued that if Dumbledore and Snape could get away with long, shaggy hair, so could he. Draco knew a losing argument when he saw one, so he’d given up after a week.)
Beyond Harry’s soon-to-be-full schedule after a summer of freedom, the two of them had only been dating for a few months, and Draco wasn’t sure how the change in daily routine would affect them. Harry tried to subdue the worries, but Draco saw that he was hiding some qualms of his own. They’d each only been in one prior relationship, so there was a chance that any change would break them apart.
Luna, reading his mind, as always, swooped in for another hug. “It’ll be fine,” she whispered in his ear before pulling back. How did she do that? “Your face, silly. You’re an open book. Not to mention, I got to hear you list your worries ad nauseum during tea last week.”
She had him there. “I just want tonight to be over already.”
“Mmmm,” she hummed in sympathy. “I remember how my meet-the-family dinner went. Oh! I wanted to warn you. Ginny’s giving you The Talk tonight.”
Draco leaned back in surprise. “Just her?” If any single one of the Weasleys was going to give him The Talk, he’d have expected one of the older ones, or maybe Ron, because he and Harry were best friends. But Draco had never expected The Talk from solely the youngest (and only female) sibling. Her status as the baby should have kept her out of the running. Just because Draco lived in constant slight terror to this day of being hit by one of her hexes, he didn’t expect the others to feel the same.
“Well, she’s most similar to Bill, isn’t she. The others know you’d respect it more coming from her.”
“Yeah, I reckon. Do you know when she’s going to do it?”
Before she could answer, Ginny entered the sitting room and addressed the others who peppered the space. “George and Ron, Harry and Dad need help outside.”
The two men looked up from where they were brainstorming new ideas for the shop, shrugged, then left the room. Hermione looked up from the baby jumper she was knitting for George and Angelina’s upcoming baby—at least, she said it was a jumper; it looked more like a lumpy blue snowball with arms.
“They’re not still trying to charm the new car, are they?” Ginny gave her a “what do you think” look, and Hermione sighed, dropped the knitting, and followed the others outside.
“I’m going to see if Molly and Angelina want help in the kitchen,” Luna added with a sympathetic look at Draco before hurrying out as well, the traitor.
Draco took a deep breath. “So it’s to be you, then? Lose a bet?”
Ginny looked a little stunned, then reluctantly amused. She dropped down onto the coffee table across from him. “I’d like to think I won.”
She leaned forward to rest her elbows on her knees, and the dragon tattoo on her right arm blew out an inky flame, as if to back her up. She looked more serious than usual, which was enhanced by the dark button-down she wore, so in opposition to her usual bright but scruffy t-shirts. She still sported holey trousers and her grungy trainers, though, but she made it work. Or maybe Draco was just getting inured to the sloppy look, dating someone who wore the same style like a uniform. He looked down to see that he still had on his own high-end trousers and button-down and relaxed a bit in relief.
He waved a hand so she’d get started. The sooner they talked, the sooner they’d be done, the sooner dinner would be done, the sooner he could get back home and revel in the warmth of Harry’s body in bed next to his (Harry called it cuddling, but Draco never would, ugh).
She raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. “Look. I know Dad respects you, so I learned to stop hating you a while ago.” She sighed. “And for whatever strange reason, Luna likes you, so I can admit that you’ve probably changed from the utter fucking dickhead you were in school.”
Draco choked on his own saliva. He’d forgotten she had the same sailor mouth Harry did. Or maybe he’d never known. It shouldn’t have been a surprise, given her whole … persona. Still, Luna was all rainbows and puppies about her, and Harry talked about her like a little sister, so he forgot sometimes that she was an adult and a quidditch star with the mouth to go along with it.
She glared, and he cleared his throat. “Yes, thank you. I appreciate that. Go on.”
“Thanks,” she said with so much sarcasm, he could practically hear the “I hate it” she didn’t voice. “So yeah, you’ve changed. You’re a new fucking man. Bright and shiny new leaves turned over. Whatever.” She sat up straight, her eyes boring through Draco so hard, he expected to feel two dots of heat on his forehead. “I’ll even say I’m okay with you two dating, even though it’s completely weird. I never thought I’d see the day someone in our family dated a Malfoy.”
She spit out his name out in a way that made him think back to an altercation their dads had had in Diagon Alley years ago. Harry had been there too, now that he thought about it. Her tone now was the same as Arthur’s had been then. Trying so hard to be a respectful adult, but barely hiding anger underneath. He didn’t think she was quite as okay as she claimed. He really didn’t blame her. His family was bad news. He shrugged, hoping he’d convey that the idea was still weird to him too. Him. Dating Harry Potter. What alternate universe had they fallen into?
“But Harry really likes you,” she continued, “and I trust him. I think.” A wrinkled eyebrow said otherwise, but Draco kept mum. “He’s an adult, and so if he wants to date you, that’s his prerogative. But know this.” She leaned forward again. “You even look at him wrong, and I’ll dropkick you so hard into last Tuesday, that even if we hadn’t destroyed all of the ministry’s time turners, you still wouldn’t be able to get back. Got it?”
He tried to tell himself they were just words. This was a ritual every new boyfriend went through. It was normal. But then again, this was Harry Potter. Nothing about him was normal, and that included his family. Draco had seen Ginevra Weasley in battle, and he’d been subjected to her hexes in school. She’d dated Harry and must therefore know the feeling of wanting to wrap him in cotton fluff and hide him from the cruel world. They weren’t just words to her. She meant business, and he appreciated that. They both wanted the best for Harry, and if Draco failed to be that, he deserved whatever punishment she and her clan would mete out to him.
“Thank you.”
She jerked her head back and frowned. “What?”
“Harry deserves to have the fiercest warriors in his corner. I’m glad he has friends and family who will be that for him.”
“Hm. Yes, he does.” Despite her words, she looked suspicious.
“And, in that vein,” he continued with a spark of realization, “you hurt Luna, and it’ll take them a month remove all the curses from you.”
She cocked her head for a moment, then relaxed her shoulders and almost smiled. “Deal.”
She held out a hand, and he took it, wondering if his own was about to be crushed so hard, he’d need SkeleGrow to knit his bones back together. Her grip was firm to the point of being uncomfortable, but after they shook, all of his bones still seemed to be in place and whole.
A call came from Molly in the kitchen then, so they both stood, back to feeling slightly awkward with each other. Just as they were about to head through the door, Ginny put a hand on his wrist. Draco looked over at her face in question.
“Um, Harry. He’s … he’s really happy these days. The happiest I’ve ever seen him. Thank you.” Her face was soft, and the most open Draco had ever seen it.
“I’m glad you think so.” Uncomfortable with the serious mood coming from a Weasley, he smirked. “Luna seems to be rubbing off on you as well. I think this is the most cleaned up I’ve ever seen you. Not bad, Weasley the Youngest.”
She barked out a short laugh, then got an evil glint in her eye. “I’m glad you approve, since I stole this shirt from your wardrobe. Who wears such drab colors voluntarily? I’d be getting hives from it if I didn’t have my tats to liven it up.”
He let out a surprised laugh of his own, which was drowned out by the lively mess of humans crowding around the kitchen table. He’d survived The Talk with the scariest Weasley (besides Bill). He felt confident he could survive the rest of the family.
***
After they’d apparated back to their flat, Luna jumped on Ginny to give one of the octopus hugs Ginny loved. After a quick peck on her cheek, Luna snuggled closer. “I love you.”
“I love you too. Any particular reason at this moment, or just my general awesomeness?”
Luna giggled. “You are pretty awesome, but it’s not just that this time.”
Realization dawned in Ginny. “Were you spying on my talk with Mal- Draco?”
“No.” Luna shook her head vehemently, eyes wide. “But I saw the way you two looked when you came into the kitchen afterward.”
“Which was …?” Ginny prepared herself for any number bubbly adjectives about to come out of her girlfriend’s mouth.
“Like two adults who have come to an agreement of mutual respect.”
Eyebrow raised, Ginny only said, quite intelligently, “hmm.”
“But also adorable and chummy. I saw the way you were smiling, Ginevra.”
“And there’s the girlfriend I know and love,” Ginny said drily, but she gave said girlfriend a kiss.
“I’m proud of you.”
Ginny grinned. “Good. I like making you proud.”
Luna hummed. “My respectable, beautiful, starting chaser quidditch star girlfriend.”
“That’s me.”

Tumblr media
got a few requests on this post to make a tutorial for how i made my little mosaics, so here it is! it’s pretty simple (and if you have any questions feel free to send me an ask). everything is below the read more to keep dashes neat!
if you don’t want to bother with making your own and want to use mine, all my patterns on this page.
step 1: find your image
this is probably the most annoying part since even very famous mosaics don’t have a good top-down picture easily available on the internet. if you have one specific mosaic you want to convert, i would recommend looking for it’s museum entry or doing a deep google images search. if not, i would recommend just browsing thorough museum materials. i found both my mosaics on the princeton museum website-- the met also has a some good pictures. you want the picture to be as top-down as possible.
for the purposes of this tutorial, let’s say that i’ve chosen the medusa mosaic from my original post.
Tumblr media
step 2: make it square
this can be as simple or as complicated as you want. any picture editor will let you crop into a 1:1 ratio, which is the bare minimum for this method. what i did is a little more complicated and will probably get you a neater result-- it does require photoshop, though. (if you want this done to your picture but don’t have photoshop, send me an ask! it’s pretty quick and i’d be happy to do it for you.) if you don’t want to mess with photoshop, skip to step 3-- you could also make your picture square using the tool in step 3, but i recommend using an more precise picture editor than the crop function that’s built in. one step i do in photoshop that you can do with any photo editing app is to increase contrast-- that’s optional, though!
bring the picture into photoshop however you want (i tend to just copy the image into a new file set to clipboard dimensions).
Tumblr media
next, using whatever tool you want (i use the rectangular selection tool with shift held down), mark out the perfect square you want the final product to be. make this as close to the original picture as possible. i do this step because mosaics are never perfectly square, but animal crossing patterns are.
Tumblr media
set this square to ~50% opacity so that you can see the original picture underneath.
Tumblr media
mess around with the original picture using transform tools to get the border as perfectly lined up with the square you’ve made as possible. to do this, i’ll crop the entire image closer to the square and transform > warp until i’m happy.
Tumblr media
make a selection from the layer with your square (by ctrl clicking the layer thumbnail) and crop the entire image to the square. you can get rid of the square at this point. (if you want to get really crazy, you can clone stamp the borders to make them even sharper.) you should be left with something like this:
Tumblr media
you could 100% take this to step 3, but i like to add a few adjustment layers to make it look the best in the game. the main one is bumping the contrast waaay up. you could also bring it into black and white, but the tool we’ll use later can do that automatically too. i prefer black and white because the color range on animal crossing patterns is reeeeaaallyyyy small and the final product will look weird close-up, but that’s just a personal preference.
Tumblr media
save this as a jpg/png and all the photo editing is done!
step 3: put it through the converter
acpatterns.com has a fantastic converter functionality that can break a picture up into several patterns. the crucial thing here is to set the height/width of the image to however many patterns you want. i’m doing 3x3 because it’s a nice middle between small/undetailed and large/too many patterns.
Tumblr media
if you’ve chosen to have color, you can mess around with the color conversion options on the far left to see what you like best. everything else is pretty self-explanatory!
Tumblr media
this should be the result:
Tumblr media
from here, i download the qrs are a .zip file (the third option) and scan them into the game from there.
Tumblr media
that’s it!! the number of pictures might make it seem like this takes a while, but even with all my messing around in photoshop it doesn’t take more than 20 mins. i hope this helped and feel free to leave me an ask with requests/questions!

icons tutorial
no read more bc they still refuse to give mobile this option and once again disclaimer that everything i do for this blog i do on mobile!
okay so to start there's essentially 3 kinds of icons that I make for this blog, basic icons, colour specific icons and manga/anthology icons! I'm gonna go over how i make all of them in this post!
Basic icons
These are the easiest ones to do, it simply consists of finding screenshots of the characters and cropping them into icons. To find the screenshots good places to look are: google, tumblr and characters wiki pages!! once you've got the image you want to use simply open up ibisPaint X and select My gallery. Then select the + in the bottom left corner. this will open the new canvas page
Now i make all of my icons 200x200 by default so i typically start with a 200x200 canvas to do this i just input those values here:
Tumblr media
but of course you're free to make you icons whatever size you wish! using the 1:1 default option can be a good idea too!
once you've got your canvas all you need to do is add your screenshot! to do this select the layers button in the bottom right, it's the second button from the end, a stack of squares with 1 on top. once that's open simple select this button:
Tumblr media
this will open up your images folders and from there simply select your screenshot and position it, once you're happy with how its positioned simply press the arrow in the bottom right to go back to your gallery and then press the 3 dots second from the right to save the it!
however if you're finding that the image is becoming pixelated bc of zooming out while positioning it id recommend working with a bigger canvas then resizing it afterwards. to resize it simply select the paintbrush then canvas then resize!
Colour specific icons
okay so for these the steps are pretty much the same as the basic icons! however i would highly recommend looking for already transparent images to work with, character wikis usually have a few of these. and to add the colour background simply fill the basic canvas layer with the colour you want, since adding an image makes it into a new layer anyway
to use the fill tool simply select the paintbrush at the bottom and select bucket. to choose your colour simply select the black square and that will open your colour choosing menu
now if you're having trouble finding already transparent images it's time to make some of our own! to do this once again just position your image on top of your coloured background and then from there you can either use the magic wand tool (once again found by selecting the paintbrush) or simply erase the background yourself using the eraser tool.
I personally find that the magic wand tool and leave things looking pixelated unless they have thick lines so what i like to do is go around the image with the eraser tool and then use the magic wand to clean up the rest, like this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the erase selected tool can be found in the layers panel, it's the black and white checked square in the top right, you might have to select it a few time to fully erase the background
but they you're done! warning that the method i use can be a little time consuming but i personally find it makes for neater results. to save it once again just go back to your gallery, select the 3 dots in the toolbar second from the right and select save as jpg/png
Manga/Anthology icons
okay so this starts the same way as basic icons once again where it's simply find the image you want to use and add it to your canvas. to find manga/anthology images your best bet is usually online manga reading websites, sometimes character wiki pages can have them too
once you've got ur image positioned nicely you need to select the paintbrush theb select FX, then select Extract Line Drawing:
Tumblr media
that will take you to this:
Tumblr media
just select the checkmark here and you're good! now what you need to do is add a full colour layer of the colour you want your icons, to do this first hide this layer (which you can do by selecting the eye for the layer on the layer selection screen) like this:
Tumblr media
then select the blank layer underneath and fill it with the colour you want to use, then on the layer select screen drag the layer (to do this simply hold it and drag from where the layer preview is) above the layer with your manga image on it and then make you manga layer visible again so it looks like this:
then while the colour layer is selected simply select clipping in the bottom left corner and bam! your image should now look like this:
Tumblr media
from there once again all you have to do is save it and you're good!
Tumblr media
this got super long but i hope it's helpful! happy icon making!

RULES
DISCLAIMER I don't own Atsushi Nakajima at all - the anime, manga, movies ect all belong to Kafka Asagiri as well as the respective companies who produce/make the manga/anime. ~~~~~ This is a semi-private, semi-selective roleplay blog for Atsushi Nakajima from BSD. What this means is that I will selectively follow people and if we don't interact for a while I will soft block you; should you wish to interact with me afterwards you can follow once more. ~~~~~ Writing Lenght I'm a paragraph roleplayer as I do love to put some information into the scenery, my characters thoughts and feelings as well as what they're doing. Multi-Paragraph and Novella replies I will do slowly as I believe that for those sort of replies, you need to take your time and consider everything. The only time I will accept a one-liner reply is when you genuinely have no idea to reply or when we're just fooling around. Replies I have a life and a job outside of Tumblr and RP but I will try to reply in a timely manner, if I don't reply within 3+ days without warning you, you are free to come into my IM and bug me about it. Chances are, the reply is sitting in my drafts and I just need that little push to finish it off. NSFW I'm over the age of twenty-one so NSFW topics like sex, gore, horror ect will be on this blog - considering this is a BSD blog some stuff like that should be expected really. Reblog Karma I'm not fussed if you reblog my ask memes and not send one in. I don't really follow Reblog Karma unless I feel like our muses will be able to interact through it. Ask Threads While I'm not fussed if you do Ask Threads, I'm a bit iffy on them and I would prefer if we moved our roleplay onto a new post so that we can continue it easily. Not to mention, Tumblr sometimes tends to eat asks so I wouldn't want to be one of those who loses an ask and makes my partner feel like I'm ignoring them. Trimming Threads I trim my threads as it makes my blog look neater. You don't have to trim yours if you don't want to but my replies will always be trimmed. Follow/Follow Back I'm a believer of ‘You follow me I follow you back' however if I cannot see our characters interacting with each other then, unfortunately, I will not be following you. If I follow you and you don't follow me back within a week, I will unfollow as I don't wish to clutter up my dash. That is not to say I won't follow you if you do follow me back after that period. I will not follow personal blogs and I will block you if you do follow me, just be warned. Plotting I'm always up for some plotting though I am more a wing-it type of girl. Pre-Established Relationships I'm a sucker for a good relationship and pre-established ones are always the ones that are more fun to roleplay and it also gives us a chance to plot out a potential past thread of how they met. Shipping I'm a shipping whore and this blog is a multi-ship one as well however all ships will be in their own ‘verses' of a sort and so there will be no cheating what-so-ever. Unless, of course, spoken about before hand. Triggers I don't have any triggers myself really. I do tag triggers though with #tw; ____ so if you have a trigger that you want blacklisted do use that format. God modding Nope. Never accept it and I will never do it myself. Password I don't have a password myself however if you do have a password yourself, I will try to send you one though don't be surprised if I don't. I'm a bit anxious when I see stuff like that but I will try to send your password. If I don't send one in on the day I follow, it is just a matter of me having followed you cause you blog looked cool before bed and and I will send one in when I wake up. ~~~~ ICONS In regards to the icons I use; they come from several different sources, I cannot fully remember from where due to the fact that I had them downloaded a while ago and it's kind of hard to find the person who made those specific icons. However I also use icons that I made myself and those ones have a red and black curved-like boarder around them. Those icons I took the time to find the manga/doujin where they're from and I cropped them to make them into my own icons, please do not take them as your own without permission, unless I post them up as a batch on Tumblr. ~~~~ AU/CROSSOVER/DUPLICATE I have no problem whatsoever with this. However if I don't know the fandom you are from then I will not roleplay with you until I have a better understanding of the fandom your character is in. ~~~~ PORTRAYAL Like many other characters on this site, my Atsushi will be divergent from canon and he will also be influenced by headcanon's that I do have for him. As of now they are not available yet but when I get the chance I will post them up. ~~~ HEADCANONS In regards to my headcanons - I take the time to develop them and flesh them out. They are mine and mine alone and they are for my Atsushi. The only way I will allow someone to use my headcanon is if they politely ask permission and even then, it's a huge IF. ~~~ ABOUT THE MUN I'm Trish, 23 year's old and I'm from England though I was born in Poland. I have around 7+ years of roleplaying under my belt and 4 of those are from roleplaying on Tumblr. I had quite a few blogs but there were some people who were awfully rude to me so I deleted them, I stayed away from Tumblr for a few months before coming back. I currently have six other blogs apart from this one though two/three of those are on an indefinite hiatus due to idiots. My timezone is GTM+1 so please do remember that. I don't like dealing with mun drama and anon hate so if you send stuff like that to me be prepared to be blocked and/or reported to Tumblr.

Website Automation- A Dream or a Reality
New Post has been published on https://britishdigitalmarketingnews.com/website-automation-a-dream-or-a-reality/
Website Automation- A Dream or a Reality
Artificial intelligence is a known phenomenon in the world today. Its root started to build years ago but the tree started to grow long after. Right now, artificial intelligence is at the complete stretch and with increasing knowledge of what its potential is, the world is jiggling with it. Now when developers and thinkers have known that the elasticity of artificial intelligence in infinite, they are stretching it into every possible direction in every possible way.
Earlier a question rose everywhere, a question that targeted every known face and name in the field of artificial intelligence.
“can artificial intelligence take over humans?”
Months ago when our beloved google assistant made her first call to book a haircut appointment in the Google IO event, the phenomenon shaped itself into a whole new form. Everyone is convinced that artificial intelligence and now machine learning too are gaining their power to full expansion.
This made us think about automation in every direction. Why not automate the website making process? Website business and the processes of building them, static websites, CMS, Drupal, Hugo, WordPress, various languages involved like HTML, JS, CSS and many more have magnified on a huge scale. Not everyone can learn everything, therefore the implementation of AI into this can change the phase of the world. There are many reasons to use artificial intelligence in website development.
A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT CUSTOMER NEEDS
Artificial intelligence combined with machine learning to give a better review of what people seem looking for on your site. It also keeps a record of what they don’t want, anything that is creating the problem. This will create client awareness for owners, and they will be able to improve their products.
If you own an e-commerce website and you know exactly what a customer wants, you will bear profits. Constructive use of Artificial intelligence will bring you profits in a neater way.
MAKING SEARCHES FASTER
Voice searches are the next big things now. Siri, google assistant, Cortana or other voice search software are deeply affecting the searches on the internet and their speed. Recently, the voice search option is used on many e-commerce websites.
Also, known as the virtual shopping assistant, they are popular among people of every age because even when some are hypermetropic, they can always instruct by their voice commands. Forecasted; that by 2021 all the largest e-commerce website available on the internet will use voice search to lure more and more customers.
BETTER INTERACTION
Since AI has brought in the latest feature of chatrooms, interaction level of customers has increased by majority percentage. With the developing technology of artificial intelligence, chatrooms are becoming more natural. They are starting to give more humanly feel.
Well, a customer doesn’t need to search for everything himself. Just type into the chatroom and voilà, his query gets answered. Implementing this AI has visibly increased customer interaction in every business.
EFFECTIVE MARKETING
You will know your targeted audience. You will know which of your subscribers want what kind of products. Hence, you can narrow down the marketing and eventually target everyone GroupWise.
You also get to know few more things that help in marketing like:
What your customers like
What they don’t like
What kind of devices are people using to reach your site?
What kind of channels are they using?
What is the ideal time to sell a product to a customer
Normally, over-marketing leads to irritated customers.
No- one likes to see his e-mail filled with news about stuff he doesn’t want. So, your company’s name remains safe from the hands of people.
Therefore, artificial intelligence is a useful resource in website development. But what about website building process? If build manually, each website takes months of time to come into existence.
Have people already tried to work on this?
If yes, to what extent were they successful?
.Although, a lot of hands have worked in baking this cake for a long time, yet, there has not been a ‘that’s it’ outcome.
WIX ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
With the user base of 119 million, Wix is one of the top website makers which is using artificial intelligence. This is a simple pick and drop software where you can choose colors, fonts and minor sort of elements and the software builds the website for you. It has over 500 templates, all with modern approach and style, an AI bot that helps communicates with users for better results. But this software comes with many cons too.
Pros
Wix is a huge name and therefore has a large market. Due to increase in demand, it has over 500 templates, which gives a wide range of choice.
27/7 help fro every element. There is a help button with every feature so that the user doesn’t have to go anywhere for help or support. Also, there is a calling option and it is open all the time. Now, this is something.
Most innovative website builder
Its main method to build is pick and drop. Now, there is no doubt or denial that this is the most innovative scheme ever used, is there?
With everyday evolving and addition of new features, Wix is a right on option for users.
Cons
An automated process but still you cannot switch the template after the website is built. So, when a customer starts, he needs to take a proper time to select his template. Trying to change it later, he will have to build another website from scratch.
Not for bigger ideas
One of the most reasons that Wix is popular is that it is totally compatible with small and medium-sized businesses. If you have to build an e-commerce site to sell limited products targeting smaller audience, this website builder is perfect but if you have larger ideas for your business, Wix doesn’t support.
Not the drug.
Molly is another artificial intelligence powered website that has features of automatically cropping images and choosing pallets. At the time of Molly’s launch, this feature was new but eventually, it couldn’t win over the hearts of people. Users complained that the website created by Molly was pretty standard and even if they tried to customize it, it was difficult.
Reddit, also known as the developer’s Facebook sparked by some really harsh and straightforward reviews. Some of them were so on-point that they got displayed on various websites as a review of Molly.
“I was one of the founding members who paid a year or more in advance and was very excited about the potential but when I finally got access it was like… ok, but where is this revolutionary AI tech?”
“I signed up almost a year in advance. But when I started to make my websites hell begun.”
“it’s a major disappointment in every possible way, in my opinion.”
“The system is garbage.”
“I bought it originally based on their social media advertising blitz. But when I got to finally use it after months, I was not happy.”
This is a software where Artificial intelligence and Machine learning combiner to give out the best user experience. Firedrop brought Sacha to life, a chatbox that talks through the process of building a website. In its toddler year, Sacha was a drag and drop builder. It eventually got converted into a ‘chatty’ chatbox.
Now, this may look like an overall development software but it needs a developer that can instruct everything to finish line. Firedrop is rated as one of the best AI-powered website building software and there is no nixing in that but it cannot be said as a 100 percent winner.
Still, it has been reviewed to have various problems like ads and complexity.
However advance AI has tried yet, it has not reached the mark where you enter a domain and boom, here is an all-responsive and beautiful website. Yes, there are various software in the market just like Wix or Molly but they don’t deliver everything that is ideally desired. Some contain one bit and some contain two but none is a full package. We know that everything comes with its pros and cons but if Artificial intelligence will not server perfection, we don’t know what will.

Cold Hardy Holly Bushes
Holly is one of the most popular broad-leaf evergreens. It’s deep-green glossy leaves look great in the garden all year round, and the winter bonus of bright red berries really brings color and interest at a low time in the garden. Plus, it’s traditional for the holiday season, so you can make your own wreathes and garlands to brighten your home. For hedges or specimens, these reliable plants get a 5-star rating.
The only problem is, the different kinds of hollies vary a lot in winter hardiness. If it is too cold for them, then the leaves will burn and dry, and stems may die too, making it hard or impossible to get the results you want. So when you choose which varieties to plant, an important consideration is the zone you live in, and the hardiness of the trees you are looking at.
If you live in zone 6 or warmer, you can choose almost any of the hollies, and winter-damage will not be an issue. This problem mostly affects gardeners in zones 4 and 5, so let’s look at those zones, and see what the top-choice holly bushes are for those colder areas.
Holly Bushes for Zone 5
If you live in zone 5, with winter lows going down to minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit, you have a lot of choices, so it won’t be hard to find a cold-hardy holly for your garden.  The English Holly (Ilex aquifolium), is not hardy below zone 6, and the best choices for zone 5 are Japanese Holly (Ilex crenata), American Holly (Ilex opaca), and the Meserve hybrid hollies. Since some of the plants in this last group is hardy in zone 4 as well, we will consider those later, and focus on the first two for the moment.
Japanese Holly
Just as with boxwoods, Asian species of holly are tougher than their European relatives, so wise American gardeners in cooler areas turn to them for help. Japanese holly grows in Japan, China and Korea, and is different in appearance to other hollies, because the leaves are much smaller – small enough that it is often called the box-leaf holly. With those smaller leaves it is ideal for smaller specimens and hedges, leaving the bigger hedges to other forms. It does have berries, but sadly these are black, not red, so they don’t make a conspicuous winter display. The Japanese holly is a little variable in hardiness, so it’s a good idea to select the variety you use carefully. This plant is very variable in form, ranging from small, rounded and low shrubs to striking narrow, upright specimens. Here are some forms suitable for zone 5.
Soft Touch Holly
We think of ‘holly’ and ‘spiny leaves’ at the same moment, but this dwarf selection of Japanese holly lacks spines, which is why it has this name. It forms a dense, rounded shrub with spineless leaves a little less than an inch long. It grows 2 or 3 feet tall, and the same size across, so it makes a lovely small mound for planting among smaller shrubs, or a low hedge to edge a bed. Even unclipped it is dense, but of course with clipping it will be even denser and neater.
Sky Pencil Holly
To show how variable Japanese holly is, this plant grows 8 to 10 feet tall, but never more than 2 or 3 feet across. It’s great as a narrow column for an accent, growing well in sun or shade. Because it is so narrow, it is ideal for that special problem of the suburbs and town houses – privacy from a neighbor just a few feet away. Planted 18 to 24 inches apart, its easy to create a thin screen in an area just a few feet wide, with enough height to screen ground-floor windows completely. Since it thrives in shade the building shade in these narrow areas is not a problem at all for this plant. It can be clipped to an even narrower profile, but for low-maintenance neatness, its hard to beat.
American Holly
This handsome shrub grows 15 to 20 feet tall, and as least 12 feet wide, in time, so it is a popular choice for hedges and large specimens for screening. It forms a dense shrub, and can easily be clips to become even denser, and it has the added benefit of producing lots of red berries in winter. It is much tougher than many other hollies, thriving in urban conditions, poor soil, drought and poor drainage. There are few situations where this shrub won’t do well, so plant it with confidence, in full sun or partial shade. Even deer usually leave it alone.
If you are in zone 5 in an exposed location, American Holly may suffer some winter burn – it does best in sheltered parts of this zone, so it may not be your ideal choice in a windswept, open garden. For tougher choices, turn to the Meserve hybrid hollies.
Meserve Hybrid Hollies
Kathleen K. Meserve was an enthusiastic 20th century amateur gardener who had a 10-acre garden in St James, Long Island. She loved holly and wanted to create very hardy hollies that had red berries. She used an obscure Japanese species – Ilex rugosa – to create hybrids with the English holly and got what she wanted. The hybrid is called Ilex x meserveae. The foliage of these plants is such a dark green that it can look bluish, so they are often called Blue Hollies, and all the names of her original hybrids contain the word ‘Blue’. Because she was so fond of those berries she carefully matched up male and female trees to give the best crops. If you love them too, pair up ‘Blue Princess’ with ‘Blue Prince’ – you can guess which one has the berries, yes? Actually, all the male blue hollies make good pollinators, and a choice like ‘Blue Maid’ for a female will work just as well. You need one male for every 4 or 5 female trees, to get a bumper crop. ‘Blue Maid’ is also one of the best an biggest of Mrs. Meserve’s trees, reaching 8 or 10 feet in height, and 6 feet or more across – plenty big enough for a sturdy hedge.
Because of that bluish tone in the leaves, in the 1990s a breeder in Germany took some of those original trees and crossed them back with plants of the European holly to get greener leaves. He got some great plants, completely hardy in zone 5, and so ideal for that area. Two of the best are Castle Wall Blue Holly – a male tree, and Castle Spire Blue Holly – a beautiful female tree with loads of red berries. These German hybrids are very vigorous, growing to 8 or 10 feet tall, and you can plant Castle Spire, with a few Castle Wall thrown in, and get a terrific informal screen with loads of winter color, and a dense, formal hedge with a couple of clips a year.
Holly Bushes for Zone 4
If you live in zone 4, your best choices are simple – the Meserve Hollies with the original ‘Blue’ names of Mrs. Meserve. The German hybrids have more European Holly in them, and they are not as hardy. If you stick to those originals, you too can enjoy the beauty of holly in a zone 4 winter – just like everyone else.

Tips On Decluttering Every Room In Your Home
Most people feel the urgency to declutter their homes, yet do not do it. It is a lovely idea to live a simple and organized life within the confines of your home. However, most homeowners ask themselves where to start decluttering considering that they have many possessions. It gets difficult for most people when it comes to moving from the idea to action. This is totally understandable since you might have a special attachment to the things they own. As a result, a feeling of defeat might crop up, greatly tempting you to leave things as they are.
There is no specific and perfect time to declutter which can make this easier. Don’t wait until everything is in chaos then think of decluttering, this will make you feel overwhelmed. Consider habitually decluttering the rooms of your home to avoid things getting out of hand.
It is essential to declutter in portions since it’s a big job. You can start with a specific room or a portion of the space. Don’t get scared though, the process of decluttering is not as hard and painful as it seems once you get started. Furthermore, you do not require specialized or expensive gadgets to declutter. Outlined below are practical ways that you can declutter your home and turn your home into this spacious and inviting living space:-
Decluttering the bedroom
You desire to have an organized and airy bedroom but all you have is chaos. The first step is by getting a minimum of four baskets or boxes. They will be used to store the things that you need to throw away, reuse or recycle, put away in its right place and what needs to be donated. Depending on your bedroom, you will start at the point with most clutter.
      The Closet
For many, the closet is the hot spot for clutter. Go through your clothes, shoes, and bags then arrange them according to type. For instance, it is easier to declutter a pair of shoes if you have the whole set together. After arranging them, you can now place them in their respective place or in the box depending on what you want, either throw, repair or donate.
Nightstand
It shouldn’t be hard decluttering the nightstand. Remove everything that is not supposed to be there. For example, the novel that you finished reading, slip it back to the shelf or place the toothbrush, old makeup, a coffee cup and nail polish back to their place or to the respective boxes. Have only the items that you only need on your nightstand.
Remove items that are not supposed to be in your bedroom then clean out your room. You can change the beddings and rearrange or change the bulky furniture for example to create more space. To avoid clutter in the future, you can have shelves installed to store most of your personal things.
                Decluttering your kitchen
Keeping your kitchen organized can be challenging. There are so many items and considering the amount of time you spend in the kitchen cooking, there’s a need to be strategic. You can choose to start with each item in your kitchen. The first thing to do is clear each space, clean it then assess each item as you place it back. Tip: declutter and reorganize from top to bottom.
Dishes can be a great source clutter, unless you use them regularly, donate some of them. You can keep just enough for when visitors come by. Make it habit to declutter the kitchen counter at least once per day because a lot of stuff on it equals clutter.
Deal with the refrigerator
Most people rarely declutter this important device. Yet ironically, the refrigerator can be a great source of clutter with expired food and empty bottles. It is not hard to declutter your fridge, you can start by removing every item and rearranging them better. Leftovers are should be consumed within four days, anything after that should be tossed away. It is also easier and faster when you are thoroughly cleaning it, to remove the shelves and clean them separately. When you are cleaning the refrigerator, use warm water and a little soap dish then work your way from top to bottom.
            Decluttering the Living room
Keeping this room neat can be quite a struggle since it gets used frequently. For it to be more organized, look for a place to keep the items used frequently like the remote and be sure to declutter from time to time. You can start with your bookshelf or side tables and coffee table. Then move to the entertainment section and empty the space.
Your bookshelf
It is not easy to get rid of books since all of them have their importance. Yet if you don’t treat them with respect and organize them frequently, you might as well donate them. Clean out the surface of your shelf then arrange the books systematically. You can arrange by subject to avoid chaos when looking for a book in the future.
Pet and kids clutter
When it comes to kids and pet stuff, you have to be creative. Kids’ toys never seem to be enough and you might find yourself buying toys more frequently than you should. Well, the good news is that you can spoil your kid and still have an organized home. Think of creative ways to store the toys like getting multifunctional furniture with storage places. A good example is getting an ottoman or coffee table with drawers.
        Decluttering The Bathroom
Anything that shouldn’t be in the bathroom should simply go. Keep the laundry inside the hamper, the soaps, scrubs, and the rest of the toiletries neatly arranged in the bathroom and never leave containers with used water inside. You could have a small shelf  installed to make your bathroom look neater.
Small and consistent habits can make a big difference when it comes to having an organized, uncluttered space. Most people don’t have eight free hours to use on decluttering and it can basically get frustrating as the day progresses. Therefore, it is important to declutter habitually. Once you know where something is going to go, take it there.
Develop a habit of not procrastinating. If there are boxes for donation, take them there. If there are boxes you need to trash, get done with it.  You can also involve the rest of the family living with you. Drill it to them that everything should be returned in its place after use and that excess things in every room should be given away, thrown or sold. The goal is to come up with a space that works well for all your needs. As you declutter, remember that perfection is never a reasonable goal but achieving a semblance of order through decluttering is enough to let you relax in your own home.
