I'm still trying to figure out Lamb's design once they're chained, but I took the time to do a little concept 🐏 Furthermore, this would be Narinder's design after being decapitated and arriving at Lamb's lands.
Funfacts: In this AU, Narinder was not only decapitated, he was previously stabbed in the head. He possibly put up too much resistance and his executioners wanted to do things faster.

Your art is gorgeous and i cannot get enough of it. Also, that reverse Shroomwool you did? I am So so. Down bad for it.
TYSM!!! Also I think I had too much fun with drawing them the first time and ended up adding a bit on it. I don’t think it’ll be too deep of an au (for now at least) but I’ll probably do more fun scenarios like this in the future!

You Guys Rest?
Sky Cotl x SAGAU again :>
Let's hop straight in!
Chrs Mentioned: The Archons (Venti, Ei, Zhongli, and Nahida), You (2nd person), unspecified Moth Skid (sky kid)
---
You are your usual Sky kid, with the new Season of AURORA out, (Where through the grapevine, heard that you get to literally meet GOD.) you've been hard at work farming for candles.
Especially Eden candles for height spells! .. Yeah you used them up trying to get taller.
On your way to the current known location of a Red Shard Event, which is in the Village of Dreams, you encounter a Moth, well, not really. They seem to understand the world enough and are apparently still getting used to seasons.
As you both converse, you're waiting for the eruption with the Sky kid as you give them advice on how to purify it since as stated, they're still getting used to it.
Once the eruptions roll in, you notice 4 gold stars rolling in too. You would assume that it's more sky kids that either are born or being re-born but..
They crash land right near you. The eruption happening at the same time. In a panic you tell the Sky Kid to move the weird dressed sky kids to a safe zone while you purified the darkness.
...
Venti is the first to wake up, instantly waking the others.
The sight was beautiful, but the situation wasn't. There were some sky kids sheltered in the stage with them, a blue person (one of the Performance Spirits) seemed to be healing a few.
A majority of them had one similar trait, simply done hair and a brown cape with 1 star at the back. Asking the spirit what's going on prompts the response of:
"Some advanced Sky kids brought a bunch of moths here to prepare for the purification of the eruption"
Excuse them as they remain confused the wHAT?!
After a good hour of finding the way out and to the village of Dreams it's.. a bit chaotic.
"CALL OVER HERE IM TRYING OT BURN S*HONK*T"
"AAAAAAAA-"
"WHO KEEPS DYING I CAN'T KEEP SAVING YOU?!"
Among the yelling children is another yelling child, you. You were flying up to get the flying dark plants, activating pre-prepared and placed shared memories to signal the mutated crabs. Even using yourself as bait while the rest continued to burn the darkness away.
What are you doing there, your grace?! You could get hurt!!
Venti and Ei were about to march over there if it weren't for Zhongli and Nahida holding them back. Don't worry Zhongli activated his shield, they're safe.
As the final act ensues (collecting the fragments of light), they watch you maneuver through the floating red crystals to get the.. glowing.. mantas??
As the final memory if collected, they all condense into one and bless the sky children.
As much as they want to approach you, it seems you're a bit occupied..
"Aiya..!! That was harder than I thought!"
"Really? It was actually kinda easy.. you all are so loud-"
"I still have to head to the stadium to see some of the spirits. Are you guys excited for the concert?"
"Pfft-! Obviously! Who wouldn't wanna meet someone who is probably our God?" Wait wHAT?!
"That IS still speculation.. we're still unsure if AURORA is Megabird and-"
"Okay okay theorists of the future we get it, let's enjoy the fun while it lasts. We have like..2 days to prepare for the concert." (psst! You can imagine yourself saying any of these dialogues)
..Congrats! You broke them.
There is a God above you?! Higher than you?! That can't be possible!!
...Well.. you do look like a child.. maybe your mother..?
They'll take this info with a grain of salt. And hopefully not freak out.

Makes an au out of my own au hehehee
I drew their “beginning of the game” timeline fits
PR!Narinder:
God complex
Narcissist
VERY strong belief in “roles” (ie; gods above, mortals below, no in-betweens or exceptions)
Fell for the lamb harder (it takes WAYYY longer than in torn tapestries lol)
Absolute asshole
His cult fails spectacularly after he usurps the lamb
Ends up wandering as a failed, disgraced god
Bullied by life AND me
PR!Lamb:
Very lonely
Locked away by their family, encouraged Narinder to kill them, even though that would leave Kore as the last sheep alive
Fell for Narinder first
Treated Narinder with kindness, was rewarded with betrayal because Narinder doesn’t understand that they were being genuine
Runs away from the cult after being treated like a trophy for decades
Ends up settling in a village that doesn’t judge them for their 3rd eye and lack of people skills
Doesn’t see Narinder until he wanders into that village, practically powerless and thoroughly humbled

A person I roleplayed with on wattpad (the creator of this roleplay, sorry I can't credit it better (oh and there's a sequel I'm actively participating in)) had this amazing idea for a Sky AU, I asked them for permission to use it and they agreed to let me use it.
Basically, It has been a long time since the start of our gaming experience and Skykids have learned to use the knowledge stored in the Vault's memory lanterns to make technological advancements. One day, the Sun disappeared and Skykids must find a shard of light in each realm and bring them together to restore the Sun.
I borrowed the idea and thought, well you know what, maybe Resh decided that he wanted more magic so he tried to kidnap Megabird (lets pretend Megan is the deity of light and therefore the Sun by extention), but instead of converting the Megabird's magic to his own, he plunged the entire kingdom into darkness, and sent a shard of light into each realm.
The Shards are roughly the same size as the ones at the shard events, and they also affect their surroundings. Skykids may notice things like healing faster, brighter surroundings and more light magicks occuring near the shards. So to make finding them more of a challenge, the realms are much more bigger than what we can explore in the game.
The story I'm thinking about is set about a few centuries after the disappearance of the Sun, since Skykids don't really age normally, it takes a while for the No-More-Sun thing to be normalized. But after that, the Sun pretty much gets forgotten as we are quite adaptive creatures
Please ask me anything about this AU :> please

Hello! Your COTL art and AU is incredible! And your pinned Avatar looks very cool in otherworldly being way. Say, what happens in the Ascension of Mercy AU? What gave you the idea of prophets, false and true, regarding the Crowns? What about the other Crowns the Bishops had? Who are their prophets? What made Narinder willingly give up the Red Crown?
Drink water regularly, and may a kind week grace you.
Ohhh this is just too much fun to resist answering. 1. What gave you the idea of false/true prophets? Well the game itself gave me the idea!... I know I know, it sounds as though I'm being cheeky, but the tagline truly says "A Game of False Prophets" which...implies there are true prophets of the crown!
2. Who are the other prophets? No one is certain, the crown must be worn and tested for all the animals, but playing that game...is far too dangerous. However, Haro has told tales and prophecies of the true kings/queens of their Crown...The Lamb of Mercy, The Stag of Order, The Cattle of Harvest, The Snakes of Healing, and The Dove of Peace...But best leave them to live in ignorance... for now. 3. What made Narinder give up the crown? As soon as he made the deal with Lamb, it was long over down the line. Once he lay there, groveling and sulking in the sands of time looking up at the vengeful Lamb desperately trying to exercise restraint, he knew, the true prophet had shown their face.
4. What happens in the story of Ascension of Mercy? What you saw is...basically it! It's the story of Lamb...Ascending! Simple, cut and short, with lots of in-between. Now it may seem sparse, but I was inspired by stories such as Midsommar, Darkwood, and Mundaun. It's a trial. Is being a god truly a gift? Or is being a mortal that has a short few years on this earth...better?
As someone with a lot of anxiety and occasional existentialism, I decided to use Lamb as my therapy tool, what they go through is my fears. Living forever, eternity is a frightful concept for me, the unknown of what's going to happen to me, am I changing for the better or for the worse, am I a good person or will I succumb to my demons, Am I a coward that will not be able to protect those I love? Ascension of Mercy is essentially...the gift of the human experience.
Now there are some story beats, such as: - My plan for Lamb is to have a personal journal writing down their thoughts on certain NPCs. - Lamb witnessing the changes of the land no longer resembling its previous grounds - Lamb struggling with..."forgiveness", with the bishops and Narinder. I mean...they've committed genocide. It's hard to look at someone that was reborn as mortal. Who destroyed your entire family and gave you all your mental torment. They're..."Domesticated" sure, but they are not lacking in their bite. The only real Bishop they can get along with is...well. Shamura. Hard to fight with someone who had what was essentially is a tumor on their brain making them prone to aggression. Narinder warms up with Lamb eventually, sure, forever is a long time, but with the others, it's...so much harder, and they lack the proper patience in the meantime - Lastly, Lamb attempts to reverse what had been done, they want to bring back the goats, sheep, and lamb that had been killed...I won't say how that goes, it'll spoil the fun :)

Hello! I am aware that you are not drawing COTL for the moment, but do you still answer asks about it? If you do, I'd like to ask, if it isn't too spoilery: What gave you the idea to make a reincarnation AU that you are writing right now? Does being the god of cycle also include death and rebirth in that domain? How do you plan on showing Lamb's suspicious familiarity with the Red Crown? How did Narinder became a follower of the previous Red Crown bearer? Would your Red Crown have its own personality or some form of sentience, and would it recognise its former bearer's soul if so?
What is your favourite weapon, fleece, and curse to use in the game? Any OC followers?
Have an enjoyable month, eat regularly.
EEEK HIIII OH GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE I ALMOST MISSED THIS ASK!!!! HIIII ❤️❤️ (speaking of which, all other asks pertaining to art reqs will be answered eventually!!! don't worry, i've seen em)
longpost and mentions of irl religion under the cut
What gave you the idea to make a reincarnation AU?
- There wasn't really any big "aha" moment when it came to the early stages of trying to find an au that i could write, but I'd been seeing fairly similar role reversal concept art on my dash for quite a while. Eventually, after I'd come up with some logical reasoning for how everything worked, I decided to write it for real :)
Does being the god of cycles also include death and rebirth in that domain?
- Yes! It's also part of the reason the lamb ever made it back to the land of the living in the first place, aside from being a genuine abstract concept.
How do you plan on showing the lamb's suspicious familiarity with the crown?
- Through dreams, primarily. The dreams don't start up until the lamb starts wearing the crown, and after that they're mostly vague bits and pieces that they oftentimes can't remember well enough to understand. On Narinder's end, it's even less certain. He can't recognize them--their soul, while it's the same, has taken up residence in an entirely new body. The possibility of them being his old god doesn't even cross his mind; why would it? He can't remember anything from his mortal life, not after spending however many years trapped in abject agony. However, he does notice how easily they seem to take to the crown in comparison to its previous bearers (ie Ratau). They bounce back almost immediately after being resurrected, and their power is amplified. He can't fathom why that might be.
How did Narinder become a follower of the previous Red Crown bearer?
- I based the worship of the Great Ones off of the worship of the actual Greek and Roman pantheons. While many people were not devoted to a specific god, it was common to leave offerings and pray to one for safe passage/victory in war/fertile soil/etc. For example, if one wanted to guarantee the safe passage of a loved one through the afterlife, they would pray to They of Cycles (although the god would do their best to safeguard deceased souls, regardless).
In contrast, Narinder grew up in a family of devouts residing in a temple to the previous bearer. From the moment he became old enough, he was an acolyte, assisting celebrants in processions and the like. As I've mentioned before, They of Cycles took on the form of a worshiper to observe their followers often. They had a tentative relationship with many in their temple, but they'd made fast friends with Narinder, too.
Would your Red Crown have its own personality or some form of sentience, and would it recognize its previous bearer if so?
- Technically, no. The crowns do not have their own personalities, and they are sentient in only the barest form.
I grew up doing witchcraft with my grandmother, and she had her own beliefs around how wands "actually worked." (And obviously I'm not trying to give commentary on anyone else's beliefs, btw! This is just how I grew up. I haven't interacted with other witches outside of my grandmother's older circle in several years.) A practician is perfectly capable of doing magic on their own, but using a wand is helpful for directing their energy during spellwork.
In the same vein, the gods are extremely powerful regardless of whether or not they posess their crowns, but the crowns are a great help when they want to focus their power toward more demanding tasks.
Where they differ, however, is the vitality of the god's conduit; gods can only last so long without their crowns. When their crown is not in their posession, a god's source of devotion is cut off completely, and they will begin to deteriorate over an extremely long period of time. This is why, by the time Narinder is free, the lamb is able to defeat him. They've had his crown for so long that he's weakened enough to be defeated in combat. Narinder recognized this risk every time he gave away his crown, but there was no other hope for escape, and as long as his vessel remained obedient and returned the crown to its "rightful owner," he would leave his prison more powerful than he entered it regardless.
Anyway, since I'm getting a teeny bit off track. No, the crown is not its own character and functions more like a wand, but it is sentient enough to recognize its true owner and begin funneling what's left of their power and memories back into their soul. Or something like that.
Favorite weapon?
- Dagger.
Favorite fleece?
- Glass cannon.
Favorite curse?
- I don't use curses. </3
Any follower OCS?
- None at the moment, but I have ideas for some that'll probably feature later in the fic!
Thank you for your well wishes! Your asks are always a joy to see in my inbox <3 I hope you have a wonderful month, as well, and make sure to get some sleep!
